Los Tres know that every time they make landfall on Ezra, La Paz leave newly stocked with varieties of mezcal and tequila. All Ramon's doing, too. They likely assume he has family connected with liquors and alcohols, which is true. Fact is Ramon owns an entire distillery that specializes in the fermentation of the agave, both the blue variety as well as the wilder papalomé. This Los Tres do not know, something Ramon has taken great pains to keep secret. Still, secrets don't last forever.
It was an inheritance he received from his father's side after the War. His grandfather passed it on to him in lieu of his own late oldest son, Tomas, who had been Ramon's father. It took a few years for it to become Ramon's legally after his father's siblings fought and bickered over it, but in the end it was Ramon's. So sayeth the Alliance.
The distillery is an entire valley owned by Ramon now, called Valle Viejo. This is the name of the brand as well, and a fairly popular one, at least on Ezra though the brand of tequila and mezcal is finding a market Coreward. It is said that when the original Don Sanchez came to Ezra, he brought with him a jar of dirt from the Tequila region of the Mexican state of Jalisco. It was sprinkled across the valley floor and thus became by extension a piece of Jalisco.
