News:Upgrades
news Upgrades
Like most systems on Serenity MUSH, the Ship Upgrade System is geared for RP. If you would like to upgrade your ship please take a look at the following files. The admin will put you in contact with a Ship Yard Vendor PC, and this person will help you install you upgrades into your ship. This should yield some RP for you and your crew.
Unlike the interacting with the Maintenance System, or the Repair Consoles at shipyards, this interaction starts with a Vendor. You buy the parts you would like the yard to install, just like you buy a Gun Object.
Each system has limits on how far it can be upgraded.
For example: Joe wants to install two upgrades on his 'Stock' Firefly. Stock speed for the Firefly class is 1400. One Engine upgrade would do 5%, but Joe wants 2 upgrades so that's a total of 10%
MATH: 10% of base Class Speed (1400) = 140. 140 + 1400 = 1540 New MAX Speed
Joe may buy an Enhanced Drive System object from the Shipyard Vendor at the Price 5000 apiece, bringing the total cost of the upgrades to 10000 Credits. The Shipyard Vendor will charge in install fee, ranging from 2000 to 4000 then RP the upgrades.

Weapons Platforms
NOTE: Hspace Combat is as of yet, not supported on Serenity, there are rules dealing with Ship to Ship Combat, for now Weapons are often stored in a locker in a hidden room. Away from Alliance eyes.
Weapon Ammo
NOTE: You are expected to have Ammo on board for your Weapons Platforms if you expect to be able to fire your ships weapons, again this is an RP based system for now.
