House Bhreitheamhan

History

House Bhreitheamhan pre-dates the colonization of the 'Verse by centuries, having been established during the Middle Ages in Ireland in the early 1400s. The title of 'Lord' was first given to a man by the name of Erc who had proven himself in battle, the man a simple peasant previous to his elevation. As the years passed, the name became more recognized as the family established themselves as noble merchants, the wares sold and distributed differing over the years, starting with textiles and foodstuffs only to shift their focus as technology changed.

Present

After the terraforming and colonization of the planets within the Core, House Bhreitheamhan had been relocated to Bernadette after a bout of displacement after leaving Earth-that-Was. Having been settled for several generations, more than long enough to get a foothold within the noble circles and for then-patriarch, Lord Merritt (the current Lord Mac an Bhreitheamhan's great-grandfather) to reestablish the business they had started many centuries ago.
