Vitsi Rarti Satarma or Clan of the Night Star - Salisbury

It is said that the Romany were not always pacifists. That once, they were part of a high order of warriors coming from the North West India. The Vitsi Rarti Satarma, not wanting to give up their warrior ways migrated to the east and were forgotten of only to be told in Paramitsha (Fairy Tales) to young boys at bed time. The Vitsi Rarti Satarma were consumed with revenge against the King who had ransacked their land. They took in all they could as they moved east picking up different ways to battle, while still retaining their heritage. Their predominately Hindu religious beliefs mixed with Christianity, Taoism, Shintoism, and Buddhism, as they traveled throughout Asia and the Far East making them considerably different from those who moved to the west. They did not out breed except for selling their daughters for dowry and only then to those who passed their tests as warriors and would join the clan and provide for it. Men were allowed to do as they wished, the patriarchy remaining in tact. Over the centuries that lust for revenge became quiet and forgotten and the clan became a secluded sect of non-interventionalists much like the Sholin Monks of China. Only looking out for their interests and to keep their Clan and Traditions alive in an ever changing world.

During the Exodus from Earth That Was, it was easy for the Vitsi Rarti Satarma to aquire their own ship. They were used to travelling to generations on a Vardos was homely enough.
