Sanoh is kind, gentle, and wise beyond her years. She is also unspeakably brave and daring, with both a keen sense of justice and a keen intellect to match. Does she sound like some kind of paragon queen of an ancient fantasy kingdom, complete with a destiny to thwart evil? Maaaybe, but the fact remains that she is anything but that. Like so many of those who have deviated from the Alliances ideals, Sanoh is merely a kid who was screwed over and refused to let it stand.

Sanoh is many things: a wife, a mother, a storyteller, a historian, a farmer, an artist, a granddaughter, a philosopher. However, her strength and competence are often overlooked because of how most perceive her: a naive kid from the cultural reserves, an uneducated rice plantation bumpkin, a dewy-eyed young girl who got married and had kids way too early. And maybe she was. But as a result of only being seen this way, she has never had very much confidence in herself or her worth. She's considered herself to be of some sort of lower status for most of her life. She's therefore very polite, sometimes ''too'' polite, and inclined to let other people walk over her.

Description

Sanoh is a tiny young woman of Thai descent. She's only about 4 feet 11 inches tall, with a round, girlish face and sweet rosy cheeks. Her youthfulness is enhanced by cheerful dark eyes, although a semblance of maturity manifests in how neatly her hair is pinned back, wrapped in a colorful scarf. Her smile reveals large front teeth, and her nose is smattered with freckles. Her hands are rough and used to labour, but she maintains a strong posture.

Personality

As a result of only being seen this way, she has never had very much confidence in herself or her worth. She's considered herself to be of some sort of lower status for most of her life. She's therefore very polite, sometimes too polite, and inclined to let other people walk over her. And, in spite of all this, she is still very young and inexperienced, having a tendency for letting her quick thinking get her in trouble as well as lacking patience.

Nevertheless, since she ventured out into the black, she's been forced to face her insecurities and weaknesses head-on so she can pursue her goal. She is still naive, still a huge worrywart, and still frighteningly trusting and easy to exploit, but maybe she'll turn out to be the hero she was always meant to be. <3

History

Birth

Sanoh was born in the Thai cultural district of Sihnon to Dawun Nk and Pensri Anantasu. She grew up in the village of Plukthini, the rice fields of which were bought by Yamada Silk & Rice in 2418.Her mother was one of a long line of female historians who passed on the tradition of preserving the Thai culture, and who was also pursuing a career as a companion. Her father was one of the many generations of farmers who had settled there since the planet's habitation.

Only a month after her birth, Dawun and Pensri were killed in an explosive equipment malfunction that took he lives of 11 farmers and injured 24 more. Lady Chie Yamada, the young and newly appointed CEO of Yamada Industries at the time, insisted that she had checked her sources thoroughly. However, from that point on, she has been known to locally manufacture every tool used in her corporation.

The accident killed Sanoh's parents and five other relatives. She was raised by her maternal grandmother, Solada Anantasu. Sanoh has expressed her confusion over the pity some have shown her, knowing the tragedy that followed her birth. "My grandmother is the one who suffers the most. I never knew them' I have nothing to miss. I do sometimes wonder who my life would have been like with them around, but I had a happy childhood. A very happy childhood."

Education

Sanoh attended a local schoolhouse run by a senile old woman named Udomprecha. She learned very little there, so she received the bulk of her actual education from her grandmother, who taught her to become a historian and preservations of the Thai culture. She has fairly major gaps concerning subjects of science and mathematics, but because of her homeschooling she is proficient in history, religion, literature, music, art, and theater, as well as what is left of the Thai language. Some things she was taught but never became even close to good at include cooking and sewing.

Family

Keopraseuth Akkarat was born almost a year before Sanoh, and he lost relatives in the same accident where she did. Some say that this was the reason for their fated connection, for soon after they met each other (when they were about three or four) they were almost inseparable. Solada was against their friendship at first, since the Akkarats were outcasts, strange people believed to be accompanied by bad luck and mean spirits. However, when she noticed his keen intelligence and saw how happy he made her granddaughter, she relented and let them spend time together freely. In fact, she herself became a surrogate guardian for Keo. He lived with his uncle, who had never recovered from the accident and often neglected his nephew.

Both children had a love of learning, creating, and imagining. They spent their childhood almost in a world of their own. They faced plenty of persecution from peers around the village, but it lessened as they grew older. When they came of age at 17, the decision was too obvious for them to wait for. Sanoh and Keo married on 1 Aug 2536 in the local Buddhist temple. Sanoh became pregnant only a year later, and their daugther Nim was born in Sihnon's capital....(to be continued).
