Description
A bright-eyed, bespectacled man of short stature. He's of mixed Asian descent, with thick eyebrows, curly black hair, and a light brown complexion still not devoid of acne. He has a slightly below-average build, with reasonably strong legs and long, skinny arms. He usually wears a T-shirt and cargo pants along with durable sandals. Sometimes he even has a labcoat on!
Personality
As far as passingly well-known personalities go, his is a fairly pleasant one. Keo is known for being cheerful, agreeable, passionate, and obsessive. The four things in his life that matter to him the most are: 1) his family, 2) science, 3) religion (Buddhism), and 4) learning more. He is usually quiet, goes with the flow, and tries to keep to the background in respectable company, but if anyone asks him a question about one of these four things, he is very likely to launch into a passionate and sometimes repetitive rant about it. On the other hand, if left unchecked, his obsessive side can cause him to neglect every other part of his life - as is the case with many geniuses. And he is no doubt a genius. Some other not-quite-as-well-known traits of his are that he is kind, moral, and faithful.
History
Anyone in the scientific world would know that Dr. Akkarat is remarkable for having overcome very unlikely odds in his path to gaining knowledge and furthering the growth research in botany and pharmacology. He was born in the Thai Cultural District of Sihnon, in a plantation village in Plukthini, the land of which is owned by Yamada Rice & Silk. His parents were killed in a farming equipment malfunction that turned explosive, and he was raised by his uncle - his father's younger brother - Kiatisuk. Kiatisuk was devastated by the accident, took to drinking, and turned out not to be the best guardian for his nephew. Their house had no books and the village schoolhouse was mostly a place for children to play board games. Villages like Plukthini are widely regarded as places that produce generations of farmers, not lawyers, doctors, and scientists.
Keo developed his love of plants, however, in the forest and lake near his home, which he studied with prodigious rigor from a young age. There were also a couple of Cortex terminals in the town hall building, where he did all of his early research and eventually the online education and courses that got him into Ching Shian University at the age of 17. Sources say his efforts were almost entirely self-propelled, but Keo himself will give plenty of credit to his wife and childhood friend, Sanoh Nk, as well as her grandmother, Solada Anantasu.
The prodigy and genius finished his doctorate in only four years, making many contributions to his fields of study along the way. Some even say that he has revolutionized certain aspects of exploring new medicinal cures. However, if one were to try and find him today, they would not be able to. He has been officially missing since Spring of 2541.
