The Corone Mining Consortium is one of the larger and better known mining companies in the 'Verse. It has historically had clashes with the Miners' Guild over issues such as working conditions and pay.
Corone owns and operates most of the mines on Regina, as well as the main mining colony on Yinyang, though both planets do have independent miners trying to survive alongside the larger corporation. The Consortium also operates Lullabelle Outpost, attached to the Angel Hair Comet. The water mining outpost extracts ice from the comet, to transport to Regina where it is used in their other mining activities.
Corone has also attempted to gather information on the mining prospects on Haven, but were found out and sent packing by the independent miners there.
