Three pose rule

Three pose rule, alternatively known as three pose order and commonly referred to as 3 pose rule, 3 pose order, 3pr, or 3po is a way to organize large scenes by having players wait shorter. This keeps people interested and the scene going as the place gets more crowded.

What it is

In small scenes with up to four people, players tend to stick to a relatively strict pose order with each player posing in turn. As the scene attracts more and more people, strict pose order gets in the way of the scene and, more importantly, the players, as they have to wait for more people to pose until it is their turn again.

If a scene becomes bigger than four people, players may suggest or ask for three pose rule to avoid that cluttering from happening.

As a side note, it might be interesting to point out Serenity Mush has a really convenient command, order, that will show you a list of people apparently participating in the scene, in which order they seem to be posing and whose turn it is now. If 3po is in effect you could also use this command to see how much people have posed after your last contribution to the game.

How it works

Instead of players posing in turn, three pose rule dictates that after your own pose, you should let three other players pose before you get to go again. So even in a scene with, let's say, eight players, one in four poses could be yours if you're really fast. On the other hand, if you're a bit slower than that the scene can still develop because other people could just pose without you delaying them.

In specific occasions a scene will be arbited by a Judge, who may call for a Time Stop. See TP/Timestop_Guide.
