Ratana Hyusen (2502-2531)

Ratana Hyusen is a star-crossed victim of Elyne Dasari's grand designs. Her parents are underlings in Alexander Dasari's corporate hive, and upon realizing that their daughter was quite attractive, Elyne decided to pull some influence. The task was simple: Elyne's lost son is currently somewhere in the alleys of Beaumonde, drunk and drugged, perhaps worse. If Ratana were to find her son and pull him away from his path of self destruction, there would be rewards for her family, as Elyne would show favor to them through her husband. However, there was a hint that should Ratana decline the offer, her family may suffer certain "setbacks" in the corporate world.

Taking the lesser of two evils, Ratana inserted herself as an exotic dancer and placed herself in Cameron's path of destruction. A three year relationship blossomed, which led to her personally pulling him away from the trade of opium. The two suffered through his detoxification and withdrawal period together, which afterwards Cameron asked her to marry him. She accepted, having truly fallen in love with him.

But then Elyne Dasari struck again.

Believing that Cameron needed to have a more arranged marriage that would benefit the Dasari name, perhaps one to a low-level noblewoman, Elyne then decided it was best to order Ratana to leave Cameron. Ratana refused, but then reconsidered after her father was informed of a possible "round of layoffs". Elyne informed Ratana that she had a friend that would drug Cameron while he was out drinking and set the stage for an infidelity accusation. Against her will, Ratana let the set-up take place and then accused Cameron of cheating and gave him back the ring. After another brief stint with opium, Cameron decided he wanted more in life, and took to finding work in the corporate world, securing Elyne's victory over her son.

Ratana, out of love for Cameron, decided to stay near his mother and pretend to be a part of her inner circle, all the while keeping an eye out for Cameron from the Dasari end.

Tragedy befell Ratana during the Age of Origin TP, when she contacted Cameron for her yearly birthday wishes. He informed her that the UDC compound on Silverhold was under quarantine and he needed a place to hide. Naturally, she offered, but couldn't resist the urge to try to seduce her ex fiancée. Taking the sexy black dress out of her closet, she met Cameron for drinks. When he revealed to her that he was on opium once again (a byproduct of the virus and the irrational behavior it causes), Ratana responded with concern, and the two spent the evening eating a steak dinner and healing old wounds. She told Cameron that she missed him. The two spent the night together, and thus Cameron infected Ratana with the virus. Passion turned to irrationality as Ratana decided to defend her allegedly rekindled relationship and began to send threats to Cody, Cameron's girlfriend, demanding that she stay away and give Ratana and Cameron some room. Gloating turned to taunts, and taunts turned to insults.

However, Mia Daniels came to Cameron's aid and rescued him from Ratana, taking him back to the UDC compound where he could be seen to by doctors for the virus and the addiction. Ratana, then infected and irrational, decided to make threats on Cody's life...

...Ratana was found dead near Harmony Lake on Persephone with two gunshot wounds to her head, with no evidence as to the killer or his motives other than a potential mugging.

Logs

That's not Cameron...

Ratana looks up with a confused look on her face to see the man before her, and her eyes go wide at the sight of the pistol in his hands. Something, in that last moment of hers, tells her that things have gone terribly wrong for her.

The first bullet enters just below her right eye, and for that one millisecond her knees wobble and she starts to stumble back. The second bullet pierces her through the hard bone just above her left eyebrow with a terrible sounding crack, and it whips her perfectly cut brown hair back through the air in a mist of fine, red blood. The PDA in her hands falls to the ground and shatters as her body, unceremoniously, falls to the walkway and quickly starts to drain in a pool of blood all around her.
