Character

Upon First Glance...

She's small for a girl in her early twenties, almost appears as though she's quite young for her age. She has long black hair that has never been cut, and her thin and gangly limbs make her seem malnourished. Her skin has seen many summers on a beach, as well as a couple small scars here and there from "childhood falls", however frequent travels in space and a life that requires much concealment under shadow has forced her to become quite pale.

Upon Second Glance

Her head and face have always been quite round, however now in her older years it's become slightly more tall and defined. A pointed chin begins the jaw that sees itself up to her little ears. No piercings...yet. And her hairline finishes this circle with a vampirish widows peak indentation at the top. Coming down, her thin, black eyebrows seem to be leaping over her eyes like cats, making her look like she's always slightly surprised. Her eyes themselves are bright blue, shining out from the middle of her face like the clear sky. Her small nose is nothing much more than a little round thing above her thin-lipped mouth. And when she laughs, a pair of dimples appear in her upper cheeks as she grins beyond the boundaries of her face, it's almost too much to be comfortable.

Attire

Savannha is almost always wearing her comfy (but old) Black-cargo-pants-with-too-many-pockets, along with her black tshirt with the shoulders cut out and what looks like a bone-white skull shaped onto the front, it's so old, you can't really tell. Her shirt is short, revealing a little bit of tummy underneath, as well as a cute little bellybutton. On her feet are a pair of really old black sneakers: they're so worn that she can step anywhere without making a sound. Overall she's not too noticeable when in the shadows...

Pre-PC, Savannha, The Life Of

Backstory

  • Londinum

Savannha was born at some point within the last 25 years in the Horizon Estate somewhere on Londinum to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Horizon. They were the perfect family living in the perfect world under the warm sun of the Alliance. Wealthy, powerful and strong was the Horizon line, spanning all the way back to Earth-that-was where records say they partly owned a few construction industries. After the move, the family was forced to break apart with themselves and the business.

The family of which Savannha has direct relationship with was one of the few which did not stray far from their name (meaning some inbreeding), and high stature. Her family in particular tinted themselves more militarily than the others, and gained quite the reputation for their good work within.

...Until Savannha came along.

  • Mrs. Horizon: Unnamed Disappeared Mother

Not much is known about Mrs. Horizon, even her first name has escaped history and Savannha's memory. All that she remembers is that her mother was quite short like herself, and might have had curly, black hair.

For some reason, Mrs. Paul Horizon vanished when Savannha was eleven, it is unknown whether she died, or merely divorced Paul, all in all she was never heard of again.

  • Paul Horizon: Crazy Military Father

After he served his time previous, First Sergeant Paul Horizon was responsible for the preparation and initial training of the many who fought and won against the Independents during the Unification War.

After the disappearance of his wife, Paul decided to go insane over his one daughter, Savannha (who he secretly, and cliche-ly wished had been a boy to carry on the name), and decided to protect her by locking her up and teaching her how to defend herself against "...those bloody Browncoats when they get in our mansion!"

  • Running Away

At first the training sessions were fun and interesting, learning how to correctly dislocate an attackers arm who was twice as tall as oneself, or how much pressure it took to break skin, etc. ...but soon Master Horizon began to get more serious with his tests by pitting Savannha against her own bodyguards and starving animals. He punished failure with beatings and starvation, forcing her to sleep outside and away from her beautiful bedroom.

One afternoon, Savannha's school lecturer visited the estate and had a meeting with Mr. Horizon away from Savannha, who had snuck nearby and attempted to overhear. There was an argument, and crashing noises, and the young girl, deathily frightened that the man might have killed her teacher, fled the house and into the city with only two goals in mind: find a ship, and get offa here..

Planet Hopping

For the next three years or so Savannha eventually made her way to the other side of the border planets, stealing money for rides, or stealing the seat itself, mostly it was the latter; she stowed away on whatever ship she found to be leaving in the rim-ward direction.

  • Newhall and the Tokari Family

At around the age of fourteen or fifteen, Savannha found her way to a large island on Newhall and built a small shelter out of stolen bits of wood and metal. She met a man there who taught me how to catch and cook fish. For a while she fished with a simple stick and line and sold her gatherings for enough to eventually buy herself a few things, such as new clothes. until the man found out who she was and sent a WAVE to the Horizon Estate.

  • The Thing About Garren Harold

i spent two weeks avoiding the officers they sent after me, i watched them disassemble my shelter and take all my things away from afar. so i left the island and moved on, island hopping from place to place, selling a few fish and changing my name every few feet. a few years later of doing this, i think when i was 19, i got caught by an Alliance Officer for the first time in my new life. it was a small crime, and he was nieve enough to let me go before checking my bloodsample against my "name". Soon the entire island was on alert. I'm not sure how i even escaped the area it was crawling with so many searchmen. Somehow i managed to get onboard an old firefly that was headed for Paquin on some business and slipped past the eye. after i got off there, i quickly got taken in by a very charitable family who i later found out, two months after i left, had only done so because their seven-year-old son had requested so. i stayed with them for a year, acting as a "free-nanny" to look after their house while they went on huge and frequent trips in attempt to reduce their bursting bank vaults. i was fired after they discovered that i had sold a valuable bowl of theirs during my first "house-sit" with them, which was the only thing i took from the household, which i now regret. since this taste of normality, i've made my way to Persephone, hoping to get a better sense of a meaningful life.

PC Life

The Arctic Raider

She wasn't on the Arctic Raider for very long. She got aboard the ship without knowing they were pirates and immediately left afterwards. Yep, that's it, NO MORE QUESTIONS!

The Apollo

Her time aboard the Apollo was slightly longer then the Raider, she was hired by Aradia under an ambiguous title, and it is not known what she did there.
