Backstory

Born on Santo, 22 years ago, she came into the world with a loud scream; announcing her arrival. Born Veronica Serisse Whittier, she was the only child of hard working parents, who did the best they could. Santos wasn't an easy place to grow up. And some times you learned things the hard way; when you got yourself mixed up with the wrong sort or wrong situation. Always an inquisitive child, she spent most her days exploring the unknown. She had the same small group of friends that went with her on every adventure. The 'Rag Tag Team', they called themselves. Always covered in scrapes and bruises, and a story to go with each one.. Ronnie as she came to be know learned more by doing, then book learnin. She did alright in schooling, but it bored her no end. They didn't have a lot growin up, and one learned eventually it was best to be a no ask, no tell policy around the Whittier house. She was good with a gun too. Her pops tought her to shoot; a rifle and a sidearm, knowing full well she'd be needing those skills. He also got her trained in melee combat, and the rest she learned from her adventures. Stayin alive to tell the tale. THAT is the real reward isn't it? Once she finished middle school though, it wasn't long before she got hired on a ship, and began her journeys into space. But, the ship she hired on, the Skylark, was attacked by Reavers and near everyone was killed. To this day she is paranoid at even the mention of Reavers. The one thing that will make the near fearless girl break into a cold sweat.

• [A Pivitol Point...]

The most pivitol moment to date was getting attacked in the ship she first worked on. The Skylark. A right fine crew too. Everyone getting along like family. The ship was an exploring ship, and went far and wide, doing cargoruns to keep flyin in between. They had a hair brain idea to make a run to Miranda, on a hunch. Well, it proved to be a fatal mistake, and ended up getting most of the crew killed. The lucky handfull that escapes was forever changed.. knowing the full might of the Reavers. To this day she can have a nightmare, or even break out into a cold sweat at the simple mention of Reavers.

• [Personality]

She has an inquisitive mind. Ever since she was a kid. Always getting into some sort of innocent mishap because her curiosity got the better of her. She loves the stars, and will, when noone is looking stare into the night sky, and day dream of reaching each and every planet and exploring them. She is friendly, has a bit of a temper, but pretty well controlled, and a quick tongue. She likes most any sort of folks, and certainly isn't one for strong political opinions. She is a go-getter, and sees something she wants amd stays on course until she achieves her goal.

PC History

She was given her favorite weapon of choice when eighteen, by her old Cap'n, and the Ithaca rifle was promply named Bessy. She has been known to even talk to her gun, and some of the discussions are quite lively indeed!

When she was aboard the Skylark, Cap'n Tanner was like an uncle to her. They were a close, tight knit group, and had each other's backs. He even gave her piloting lessons, right after she turned eighteen and was legal to fly. She spent a good year or so at his side, learnin all she could by doing, and watching, and studying. Flying a Cap ship was no easy task. When the XO, Tan Rodgers got killed on a Salvage gone bad operation, Ronnie was promoted up to XO. She was just twenty, but already a seasoned pro at the helm. Well at least in her mind. But after only 8 months or so as the XO, Cap'n Tanner got a job.. A very mysterious job. And, turns out a very fatal job.. for him and most of the crew.

They were to retrieve something off Miranda of all places, if they were ballsy enough too or stupid enough.. Or both. Cap'n wouldn't even tell the crew what this item was. Only it was very high tech, and came with a hefty price tag.. 150,000 credits. In his mind, with that kinda price tag any risk was worth it. So he assembled the crew and they headed off, for the last fated flight of the Skylark.

Even ol Bessy wasn't near enough goin against the Reavers. And who was left scrambled, each taking off to different parts of the known and the unknown. Ronnie landed on Greenleaf, where she explored a few months in the Jungle, and then landed on Persephone, where she got hired on with the Tienlong, taking a low payin gig as a training helmsman to get her life back on track. She hasn't told her new captain everything.. but eventually, maybe.. If it comes up, she just might.
