Empathy is the ability to feel the emotions of other people. Fear, lust, anxiety, joy, etcetera. This skill is not as refined as Truth Sense, in that there is no context for the emotion, with this skill what you get is what they're feeling, whether it has anything to do with the situation at hand. Potentially it could be useful for diplomats and negotiators to get a sense of the general emotional state of participants, but the nature of emotions is mercurial and can seldom be used to determine deception unless there is a very strong emotional component.
