McGuire sings, "Sailing, sailing, over the blackin sea..." <English>
Kyoshiro steps in and takes a seat at the co-pilots console, turning it on, raising an eyebrow at the Owner's singing. <English>
McGuire glances over at his cook and smiles as the words come out of his mouth in song. "When we sail to Verbena ..with Alliance on our heels. Ohhhhhhh. Sailing, sailing, or the blacken sea..." <English>
"I certainly hope we won't see any Alliance on the way." Kyoshiro says taking the song literally. "To be clear I /found/ this stuff in a cave on some nutty adventure Thor wanted to go on..." <English>
McGuire stops his song and eases the ship to the right, then back to the left, "Dah Knee told me we had hot cargo aboard. I took a detour around Three Hills to avoid the massive Alliance captical ship on patrol there." He looks at Kyo, "We would of been boarded if I hadn't of known Mibu. Things like that need to be expressed so we're all on the same page." He isn't belittling, or mean with his statement. Just matter of fact and in a friendly manner. <English>
"I think you're confusing greenleaf with Three Hills. There's no Alliance ship out Ezra way, Fao..." Kyoshiro says... "We shouldn't see an Alliance ship in our sights for some time. And I've been nothing but upfront about this. Also, I've said serveral times seince you've returned that we had hot Cargo..." <English>
McGuire chuckles, "I know Mibu. I'm just jammering to get your blood flowing." He looks at him and smiles a teasing smile. "I'm just glad we're heading that way to get it off the ship. I thought about going to Jiangyin first, but Dah Knee had one of her feelings and this is the best course to take." <English>
Kyoshiro raises an eyebrow, "I don't understand why trying to get me upset in a game amongst you all." And he's rather honest about that as he takes a sensor reading. Nothing but black. "The faster it gets off the ship, the better." <English>
McGuire askes, "It's the pink in your cheeks that make it worth wild." He chuckles, "I'll stop, just passen the time my friend. Simple teasing is all. So tell me about the cave you two found this cargo. What is it anyway?" <English>
Kyoshiro simply raises an eyebrow at Fao for a moment before answering, "Conoger in his macho wisdom decided to follow some anchient Paquin folk lore about a Cave monster and disappearing people." He sighs sitting back. "There was some trapped door in a cave with Giant Spiders and Snakes... a little mind boggling. There was loot there and some sort of grave. Weapons, armor, cargo... Thor got himself an Axe." <English>
McGuire laughs, "Oh great, Hase with an axe. I thought Thor used a hammer." <English>
Kyoshiro snickers, "Semantics..." He sits at the Co-pilots seat. <English>
McGuire laughs and checks his course. Everything by the numbers and nothing but black for as far as the eye can see. <English>
Zank steps onto the bridge with a raised brow "Somethin funny" he asks looking quizical. <English>
"Nope, just you Captain Sassypants..." Kyoshiro responds to Zank as he flips a swtich. "We're close to Kalidasa... there's Beumonde." <English>
McGuire says, "Talkin about Hase finding and using an axe. That an old mytholigy." <English>
Zank narrows his eyes a bit at Kyo but grins under it all. He looks to McGuire and tilts his head "Not one im familar with" he says leaning against the bulk head. <English>
"We're on our way to Verbena to get rid of that hot Cargo... Should be there in half an hour or so." Kyoshiro says as he fiddles with some nobs and stuff. <English>
McGuire chuckles, "Hase is using the name Thor. Thor was a mythological demi god that used a hammer in battle. Mibu says it's samantics, I think it's funny as all get out." <English>
Kyoshiro corrects, "No we just call him Thor because he thinks he's a viking." <English>
Zank nods and "OHHH..right...yea well after what happened to him im not sure what hes gonna be like now.." he says <English>
McGuire has to ask, "What happened to him?" <English>
"Slavers took him and Esther..." Kyoshiro says, "They cut and beat on him pretty bad for a long while." <English>
Zank nods "Wasnt the pretty oh sights...an im glad we got t' them in time...not sure how much longer Conoger woulda lasted.." <English>
"Verbena on sensors..." Kyoshiro says as the planet is identified by the sensors. <English>
McGuire smiles and sits back. "So, Captain Lines. Who did you make your second in command?" He glances back to view the man and adds, "Out of curiousity, who's your First Mate?" <English>
Zank narrows his eyes now a bit at McGuire and takes a breath "Haavent decied yet...got in narrowed down between two folks though...think i might put a knife in the middle of the cargo bay an who ever comes out on alive get the spot..." he says deadpan... <English>
"Well that's certainly a way to figure it out..." Kyoshiro quips from his seat at the co-pilot console. <English>
McGuire keeps a strait face. "Fair enough." Looking out over the view and at their target, "Dah Knee would win, 'cause Mibu couldn't do her in." <English>
"Sounsd about right..." Kyoshiro says. <English>
Zank finally grins looking out at the black "That was my vote too..." he says with a grin "No i have given it some thought an im gonna talk t' Danee on it...If she wants it,positions hers, followed close by Kyo here...They both are over qualifyed..." <English>
"I don't want it..." Kyoshiro says simply. <English>
McGuire nods, "Keep in mind that Dah Knee has a factory to get up and running, but if it's her choise, I'm all for it. I can get that machine up and goin if need be." <English>
Zank nods glanceing at Kyo "If Danee wants t' undertake that...its her choosein...Kyo has spent alot of time on it too an is also more than capabale..if they wanna discuss it thats there buissness." <English>
Kyoshiro looks to Fao for a moment... and blinks. He was the one who'd been working on this factor with hardly any help for the past two years... So that sinking feeling in his stomach, not at losing any position reguarding the ship, but more so the idea of him working on this project day and night, sleelessly sometimes, and not being able to have anything to do with it's operations. He Built a clinic for his wife even. He stands. "I'm going to go get the package ready for transport." He starts off towards the hatch. <English>
In the Cargo Bay...
Parker starts down the gangway as the ship settles in to its established dock. "I got a nine in my cabin... I take it this is some ornery assed cargo?" (repose) <English>
Kyoshiro starts down the stairs. He looks a might bit grumpy. "I'd recomend getting that and any armor you've got... Thing could get hairy with this hot Merch..." <English>
McGuire steps onto the catwalk and looks up at the com speakers as he laughs. "Forgot to tell the Captain about our new hire." <English>
Parker turns on his heel, moving back up to his bunk. <English>
McGuire says, "I'll get this cargo moving on the ship. You need help with that crate on the MULE?" <English>
Kyoshiro reaches into his messenger bag pulling out a small package. "No not really... this isn't the heavy hauling type of cargo..." He puts it back and presses the button to open the ramp and bay doors. <English>
Mila smiles over at Kragrim, "How's it going?" When she noices the others in the area she laughs, "Well this is becoming a rather popular area of the ship this evening. I was just about to go fetch me a bottle of whiskey... I mean a glass." <English>
Kragrim winks at Mila. "Sharin's carin'. Not bad." Spoken in reply to the woman, his expression fairly serious however as his gaze turns to take in the other activity in the cargo bay. <English>
Kyoshiro looks over to Parker after calling over his comm to Fao. "I think that glock only take non lethal rounds... Try it out..." He looks to Mila. "Whiskey will have to wait. We've work to do... least you're dressed..." He says this bluntly without any hesitation. <English>
Zank comes down stairs of the commen area and looks over the bay as he slideing his pistol back into its leather holster. He looks to Kyo with a nods and then over to Kragrim and Mila. He smirks slightly but shakes his head slightly. "Kyo buyer waitin for us?" <English>
"He is..." Kyoshiro says to Zank. <English>
Parker pulls the weapon from his belt and turns towards the dummy without comment. <English>
Mila lets out a little sigh, "Oh. is this just moving cargo or is there like a need for me to come along?" She then looks down at her clothing and back to Kyoshiro, "I'm always dressed aren't I? I mean I don't think I have walked around the ship naked yet.." <English>
Parker sends the round wild, it's stun round careening off the deck plating with a whine. Giving the weapon a look of total disgust, he turns and walks over to the refuse chute and drops the pistol with no more regard than for a used tissue. <English>
Kyoshiro looks to Parker and raises an eyebrow before looking to Mila... "We might need your gun hand. And I meant the wearing of shirts and you got real cloths." He turns towards the ramp, his longcoat and haori flowing just a bit as he walks. "Let's get this over with." <English>
Zank looks up at Mila "Were dropin off somethin..." he say and then looks to Parker who send the round wild and then seem to throw the pistol away. "Hey...dont be blamin equipment...Your Parker right?" <English>
Mila starts to laugh but bites into her lower lip, "My gun hand.. well I suppose I can tag along just incase. I just wouldn't go counting on me being able to fight off more than one or two." She gives a shrug to Kragrim and begins to join the others, "So.. lets get this done so I can have my drink hmmm." <English>
Parker's eyes turn to Zank, "I am.." He looks back at the chute unapologetically, and shakes his head, "I don't reckon I care for rubber bullets if everyone else at the dance is slinging lead." <English>
"That wasn't a stun round..." Kyoshiro yells as he heads down the ramp... <English>
Later, at the old destroyed Factory...
Into the old ruins of the Factory that had been bombed by Dust Devils sometime after the end of the war the crew of the Jia finds them selves in a crater of charcoal, burnt, exploded and twisted metal. There might be a skull or bone or two left from the explosion. There seems to be no one here and as Kyoshiro steps into the center of the wreckage, taking out his pocket watch and looking at the time. "Huh..." He says simply to himself, looking around with his cold red eyes. <English>
Zank follows Kyo to the meet spot eyes looking around at the debrie around them. He frowns at a sight of bone "Nice place.." <English>
Parker moves along with the group, eyes scanning constantly to take in the scene. His poor pistol, pulled from its ignominious end, is now in his right hand. "For a vulture", he adds. <English>
Mila follows along not walking to far from Parker. She doesn't seem to be paying attention yet to much other than the new crewmember. <English>
McGuire keeps to the rear of the group, watchful and alert. Hand on his the butt of his weapon still in the holster, rifle slung on his back. He keeps silent and observent to his surroundings. <English>
Danee moves into the ruins about mid way in the group. She comes in wide open in case there are others there and not looking to friendly upon the group. <English>
From behind some rubble comes a portly man dressed in a black duster and with a beard. He smiles. Two people, a man and a women, in leather jackets and purple arm bands flank him with automatic weapons. L85's by the look of them. The portly man waves, "Is that really Demon Eye's Kyo... the slayer of shadow? I wasn't sure I could believe such a thing. I havn't heard about you seince the victory at the Valley..."
Kyoshiro kind of frowns, "It's just Kyo now, and I prefer not to talk about the past thank you..." <English>
Zank narrows his eyes slightly as the people apper noteing the weapons and arm bans. He lets Kyo take lead as they seem to have a repore with him already. Be it an Alliance repore the automattic weapons keep him silent. <English>
Parker thumbs the safety on and slips his pistol into his hip pocket, palm perched on the butt. His focus moves to the pair bracketing the duster, patient to watch and learn. <English>
Mila tugs at her shirt trying to make sure her assets are at least covered up a little better. Once she is satisfied that she looks presentable she places one hand upon her hip as she listens to the men talking. <English>
McGuire remains stationary as he just observes at the moment. His head turns slightly to get a good look at the three new arrivals and to check behind the Jia crew just in case. Ears perk at every noise, hand never leaves the butt of his modified lightfoot. <English>
Danee wanders away from the small group. Her expression is vague. But she smiles at the three as if long lost friends. She turns circles as she picks impressions. "A place of death. But once it was very much alive. For a while." She stops turning and looks atthe female, "nice arm band. Do you think I'd look good in one?" <English>
The portly man raises an eyebrow as he looks over Kyo's group, especially to Fao... perhaps recognizing him... He dosn't say anything. He notices Mila attempt to blouse her shirt and he has a bit of a smirk for her. Then he looks to Zank and frowns. "Say Demon Eyes..."
"It's just Kyo..."
"What ever..." He takes a hard look to Zank, "Your friends duster is awfully brown there."
"What of it?" Kyoshiro asks, his eyes never once leaving the man.
"What's an old Alliance man like your self doing hanging around with pieces of pegu like Indies..."
"War is long over... we're all just trying to live now..."
"This is just too bad..."
The women who Dane talks to blinks and regards her suspiciously.
Kyoshiro frowns, "Listen here Cornwell... I give you the package... you pay me... that's how this works..."
"We don't pay for things that come from gorram Indie lovers." Cornwell says in seething rage before he sticks two fingers in his mouth and whistles... Suddenly ten men or so appear at the top of the crater of rubbel with weapons aimed at the group. The two flanking Cornwell have aimed as well... "So give us the package... and the Browncoat slime and the rest of you can go free..."
"you sure you want to do this Cornwell... You know who I am..." Kyo says unfazed and this seems to anger Cornwell some. "Shut up! You're surround! What are you going to do! How can you betray us like this! You were a hero! I was going to ask you to join us, help us hunt down those old bastards who blew up this factory."
Kyoshiro shakes his head, "You're a sad man Cornwell... I havn't been that kind of man in very very long time... my ideas on the Alliance have changed... on government as a whole for that matter..." Suddenly a gunshot rings out which sends kyo flying back and onto the ground... There with a smoking 1911 is Cornwell, seething. All hell breaks loose... <English>
Zank watch with more concern as Cromwell and Kyo start to argue. He tryies to interject several time and then when weapons and people start appering he tenses. "Ah sh.." he dosnt finish the words as the shot rings out. He draws as he moves twords were Kyo was shot. He points at Cromwell and fire a round as he drops to grab Kyo and drag him behind a lip of rubble. <English>
Parker pushes forward as the shots break the silence. His arm stretches out and hits Mila around the waist, tumbling into the rubble with her along side. Unaware that she's hit, he starts to pull his pistol from the pocket and looks around for something to shoot at. <English>
Mila is stunned as the shots ring out. At first she doesn't realize what is going on causing her reaction to be slow (or her jeans were too tight). She feels a sharp pain hit her just above the knee right before Parker grabs her. She screams out in pain as she tumbles alongside Parker. So shocked she doesn't even think about shooting back. <English>
McGuire's weapon comes out quick and he steps forward to the man with the smoking gun. He lifts his arm as he rushes into the fray, pulling the trigger once and his weapon fires a round into the fat man. He is at the ready with the others, to fight them toe to toe or shoot it out, but he's put himself between them and his new crew that are on the ground finding cover. His eye's flash to Danee, then back to the assalents. <English>
Danee has moves closer to the woman with the arm band she had so admired. In the split second before the woman pulls her trigger Danee has pulled her axe from it's loop. It is an unusual move as she is moving closer to the woman but she drops to a knee and swing out with the axe. The toe of teh woman's boot falls away leaving her toes exposed. Danee looks up and grins, "next?" <English>
Kyoshiro is kind of shell shocked at the moment, things are muffled and he's looking up at the sky as tracer rounds fly around him. It wasn't supposed to be like this anymore... this always happens. The fighting... He can sense he's being dragged as the sounds of the battlefield become more clears. He looks around... and then there's a pain at his chest. He reaches up to rip off his waits coat and shirt to the purple colored armor that's there. The bullet rests in a dent in the high quality armor. "Gorram it I just knocked out the last dent..." He looks up to Zank, "I'm fine... just shoot!" He reaches for his own gun as he sits up.
While Cornwell fires at the Jia crew, he fires back at Zank and Fao. Dodging Zank's bullet but getting caught off guard by Fao's He growls as he holds his side with his free hand now bleeding heavily. Right in the kidney... deadly if not tended too. He keeps firing. <English>
Zank finishes dragging Kyo into cover and move to shoot quickly ducking as a bullet impacts on the concrate slab protecting them "You have really nice friends" he says to Kyo over the shooting. He now comes over the rubble and fires off a round from his revolver. The round reachs across the short distance and impact on a rifle wielding purple arm band goon. The bullet shatters on impact with the man tearing into him. The man collapses scream in pain but not seeming to be able to move his legs. <English>
Parker fires prone from the rubble at the nearest silhouette on the hill. At this distance, he'll take what he can get and lets out a yip as the figure staggers back. <English>
Mila has realized she is shot and tries to move out of the line of fire while getting her gun ready. She so wasn't expecting there really to be gun play. <English>
McGuire steps in closer to the three hurting and on the ground, aiming upwards to one of the shooters from above the crater. His shot rings out and a person jolts backwards and out of sight from the battle. He half wants to elbow the plump guy that started this all, but keeps his movement fluid and ready for anything. <English>
Danee kneeling at the woman's feet she reache up and grabs the automatic weapon and shoves it up. Then she turns and forces her leg behind the armed bandit and trips her shoving her down ont o her back. The weapon discharges into the air and Danee drops the axe into the woman's stomache. not dead by any means but the woman is thinking about it. <English>
Kyoshiro looks to Zank before reaching to his holster and taking out his Tycho Special: Junior. He takes a few breaths before flipping up onto his feet and crouching behind the concrete slab. He takes a peak and then stands pointing the large rounded weapon at the purple arm banded goon in the crator with them. The one who isn't half dead or dieing, or being axed to death by a sexy Romani princess. He squeezes the trigger twice, his weapon loud and deafening. The two rounds hit right in the center mass, passing right through him, blood spilling and exploding from his back. He's sent flying to the ground dead.
Meanwhile The women who Danee is fighting screams as the axes digs it's way into her stomach. He attempts to fire again. But at this point, she has no control over her weapon and the pain is too much. Cornwell is busy shooting at Fao there in front of him still. The people left on top continue their firing down on the group in the crator. <English>
Zank peaks over the rubbel again and watchs a round come very close to him as it punches threw the concreate next to were he shelters. He looks at the whole and blinks and then shoots again over at a man on the berm. His shot finding its mark in the mans head. He comes back into cover and yells across "Any way out over there!?" he yells to the others <English>
Parker's exposed shoulder takes a hit, it's impact is spread by the mesh, but he struggles to keep hold of the gun. <English>
Mila is still a bit dazed and confused as she grabs her gun and tries to get off a shot. <English>
McGuire feels the dust spring up on his pant leg as the ringing bullets around him miss. He steps over the plump man who started this whole mess and slaps his weapon to the side as the trigger was pulled, striking the dirt away from him. He grabs his armored collar and lifts the fat man up, jamming his modified lightfoot to the mans temple and yells out as he turns around so everyone can see this, "Put your weapons down or I shoot your boss!" His voice is full of persation and his training in command shines through. "NOW!" <English>
Danee leans down and looks at the girl lying there. She slips the axe into teh loop and then picks up the automatic and points it at the remaining people on the hill. "don't even think about it!" she yells. <English>
Kyoshiro peaks out from the cement he's been taking cover behind. There's a moment as some shots rings out and then they quiet after Fao's words ring out through the old Factory. One thing is for sure, these men are Loyal to Cornwell... Though as Fao yells in his commanding voice, Cornwell is too weak from the gunshot wound to care. "Please... it was a misunderstanding..." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a sack of coin. "Standdown!" He yells weakly, "Stand down..." The men who are alive seem to be confused as the untrain their L85s. He gives Fao the sack of credits, "Here just... take it..."
The women Danee had skewered is crying loudly, holding her intestines in, blood everywhere, screaming "Momma... Momma..." it pierces the other wise silence that has now fallen over the factory wreckage. <English>
Zank peeks over the rubble a second and blinks weapon still ready. He seem unbothered by the scream of the women. "Dumbass kids.." he mutters and looks to see if his own crew is alright. He keeps his eyes trained looking twords Parker and Mila. "Mila...Patty..i mean Parker...you good?" <English>
Parker's gaze shifts to the woman beside him, now smelling unmistakably of blood. His fingers fumble at his belt, pulling it free to wrap around Mila's thigh. With nothing at hand to fill the wound, he tears at the bottom of his t-shirt and tries to stuff the fabric into the hole. "No!" he hollers, "Not good!" <English>
Mila becomes more concerned with the pain in her leg now that the shooting has stopped. She tries to smile at Parker as he attends to wound but the pain causes it to look more like wince. <English>
McGuire starts to move the wounded man back from where the party first entered, allow his people to get moving. He keeps the weapon on the man and yells up to the people on the creaters edge, "This man needs a doctor, come and get him before it's to late." He looks at Kyo, "Give the man that package, a deal is a deal..." Pressing the gun tighter against the man, "Dispite the attitude and gun play." He makes sure one his men have him before he lets go and hosters his weapon. To the crew of the Jia, "We're moving, everyone back to the ship." <English>
Once Danee understands that there is no danger to McGuire she kneels beside the woman she impaled. from the backpack she removes a canibis compound for pain and injects the woman. Then using a form of duck tape she tapes the edges of her wound together. "You'll be ok if they get you to a doctor and get you on antibiotic." once she is tended to Danee picks up her backpack and slings it over a shoulder. Picking up the automatic she begins moving back to the others. <English>
Kyoshiro, emotionless as ever, and his armor exposed a bit, takes the package out of his musette bag and tosses it to one of Cornwell's men. "I see you around anywhere near where I am. I'll kill you..." He says in his deep core accented monotone before turning on his heel and heading back towards the spaceport his longcoat and haori flowing in a breeze of wind... The men come down and take their wounded and dead, leaving an ego bruised and possible a burning fire for revenge. DUN DUN DAAAAAAAAA! <English>
Parker hears all he needs to hear when the order to pull out comes. He realizes the futility of his attempt at first aid, telling Mila to "just hold the gorram thing over the wet spot" and makes an effort to help her back to the ship. Someone else can have all the glory. <English>
