There is a sound. it sounds like ping ping every few second it's not rapid fire but it is annoying. Zank pops his head into the cargo bay "someone throwing stuff down here?" <English>
McGuire is on the weight bench pressing metal. He hooks the bar and sits up, "I hear it too. Don't know what that is." He takes the towel off his knee and wipes his face and the back of his neck, rising up to stand and looks up, "Want me to take a look Cap'n?" Starting to walk to the closed hatch. <English>
Kyoshiro is comming down the stairs behind Zank with a kitchen towel over his shoulder. He'd just gotten done cleaning up in there. He'd been locked in his room for a day or two, detoxing and recovering from his binge. He looked well enough now. "Check the security feed first." He cautions. <English>
Zank nods and walks to the bridge he's gone a second and the intercom clicks on "oh well....yea y'all done pissed someone off....got a group maybe 100 large near the back end of the ship some wandering around the sides. Were the hells port security...thought that's what these places were good for..." <English>
McGuire steps up to the back door, looking through the view. The ramp is up so he doesn't see anything. He steps over to the contols and hits the ships com, "I hear em, ramp is up. Not much damage they can do out there unless they have grenades." He turns to the stairs to make his way up to the catwalk on his way to the bridge. He shrugs at Kyo as he draws close. <English>
Kyoshiro raises an eyerow at Fao as he passes him. The Churara Commander turns and heads back towards the Common Area, "Nothing to worry about then." <English>
Zank voices comes over the intercom. "there signs are kinda mean...one spelled deadwood wrong...oh we're Rim Rats apparent as well....oh they spotted me on the bridge....ohhh that's just not nice." There is a louder PING on the hill... "ok that was a bit bigger of a rock" <English>
McGuire makes it to the bridge, "Break out the riot gear?" He steps up behind Zank to look out the view. "Do we even have riot gear?" He looks at the controls, "How about an electricity surge. It's knock the front line down." He looks to his friend, then back out the window. <English>
Kyoshiro moves back to the kitchen and starts to dry some more pots and pans. "Could give them a taste of engine backwash." <English>
McGuire grins at Kyo, "Want me to start up the engines?" <English>
Kyoshiro chuckles, "Sure... just a routine test. THeir fault they're too close on the LAnding Pad." <English>
McGuire dashes off to the engine room. The path is second nature, the switches that same and flipped. He hits the ship com, "What are they doing? Turbines to speed." <English>
Kyoshiro looks over the monitor, "Like a bad hurrican out there for them. Getting pushed back, signs blowing away. Idiots." <English>
McGuire pants as he rushes into the bridge. Eye's darting to the monitor and out the view. He starts to laugh. <English>
"Once we get out of the core, THey'll forget about us in time." Kyoshiro says. <English>
Zank can be heard laughing from the bridge. "that's right run ya pricks oh look there's security there coming around the to hatch" <English>
Kyoshiro shrugs, "So let them deal with Willow... Can't help maintenance and their fault for not keeping those idiots back." <English>
McGuire runs back to the engine room and starts the prosses to power down the ship. His laughter rings out over the commons and into the halls. The ships hum lowers to a whisper and then stops. The laughter continues. Inbetween burst of laughter, "We ... answering?" He steps out of the engine bay to the commons, looking to the hall to the bridge. <English>
Zank calls back "Gorram right we're answering..." he says and heads towards the cargo bay. He hurry's down the stairs as a loud banging is heard on the small door hatch that is part of the ramp. Zank quickly unlocks it and opens it. In steps a clean looking security officer. He his weapon is holstered and he scans the bay. He is flanked by 2 other guards that are also armed but weapons are holstered. He looks at Zank "captain?" he asks <English>
Kyoshiro steps up and out onto the Catwalk, drying a glass mug with a towel as he looks down on Zank and the security officers. He's just making his presence known. <English>
McGuire watches Zank pass him, then Kyo. He's still laughing. He turns to the cargo bay and stops just inside on the catwalk. He watches Zank open the hatch and the one guy is barely seen at this upper angle. Fao crouches to see the guy. He's stopped laughing, although that smile on his face wont go away. <English>
Zank tilts his head side ways slightly "yeay sorry if we kept ya waiting....what's the problem?" he asks quickly. The officer looks around. "Well sir we just wanted to make sure everyone was alright?" Zank looks confused. One of the officers escorts looks up seeing Kyo and visibly gulps at the sight of his red eye. "um yea we're fine just running some engine tests. Older boats ya know. long trip in from the Rim an all." he says and the officer raises his brow "engine test....you mean you didn't see or hear the protesters throwing things at your ship?" Zank looks suprised again. "What?" he says looking actually shocked. <English>
McGuire bursts out one gaffa and clamps a hand over his mouth. <English>
"There were people throwing things at the ship? Oh my..." Kyoshiro says in a deadpan from the top of the Catwalk. "Say.. if people were violently throwing things at private property here on the spaceport... that you hold jurisdiction to keep the peace over... yet the only thing that got them to stop was a simple engine test... instead of you guys. That really says something huh?" <English>
McGuire falls on his back just in the enterance to the commons, still muffling the laughter with a hand over his mouth. <English>
Zank looks at Kyo and then at the man who then speaks glancing at Kyo. "Yes well like I said just wanted to check thought maybe someone had gotten inside screwed with yall." he says. This guys just seems to trying to do his job like and honest man. He isn't dumb but he know that Zank and them are right atleast. Zank speaks "was anyone hurt?" he asks. The officer shakes his head "No..some scrapes and such and a couple wet trousers but no one was seriously injuired." he says. He looks up at Kyoshiro "in apologize for our delay" he says <English>
Kyoshiro simply gives a nod of his head at the Security Guards appologie. He then turns to head back into the common area, stepping over Fao. <English>
McGuire rolls over and crawls into the commans, laughing the whole way. <English>
Zank watchs the man turn to his men whom he dismisses with a nod. The other men go. The ranking officer stops before he exits looking up at Kyo again as the red eyed man turns to leave . "Kyoshiro Mibu correct?" he asks eyes on the man. Zank raises an eyebrow and turns to look at Kyo. <English>
Kyoshiro stops at the door and turns to look back down at the man. "Aye... That's my name." <English>
McGuire regains his feet and turns to the cargo bay, getting himself under control in time to hear Kyo's name used and not by his friends. He pops his head around the corner and looks at Kyo, then down to the man. <English>
The officer looks at Zank "May I?" he asks. Zank steps out of the mans way letting him enter the bay proper. He finds his way to be able to see Kyo and then Fao seeming to recognize him as well. He seems to take a second thinking on his words. Zank stands off to the mans right behind him. The officer finally speaks "Sir...I'd like to shake your hand...I read what you did on Boros...the Chira...Churai...I'm sorry" he says "I have a sister on Boros...she survived...she told me that the Soliders there wee going to raid there house when an explosion tore the block 4 blocks away from her house to shreds it lead the territorists away...I saw the imagines of you and this ship...." he says "I wanted to say thank you" the man keeps his composure <English>
The man adds "Not everyone on this planet sees you as a villain" <English>
"Churara..." Kyoshiro corrects very mildly. He understands that Romani terms may not go easily on Gadje tongue. Kyoshiro studies the man for a moment, not exatly certain. "Son, you don't need to shake my hand. I didn't do much, the boys I lead did all the hard work. I just pointed them in the right direction." He pauses a moment. "No... I don't recon they do. Though, a good number do, still and there's no way around that." <English>
McGuire is dumbfounded. Distance makes it hard to see his face, but Fao pulls a breath as the thought never accord to him and a tear falls from his eye. He backs up, out of sight. Kyo's bring back the full measure of the battle and Fao's mind relives it. More tears fall as the girls die before his eye's. He puts his back aginst the wall just off the cargo bay hatch and let's it run it's course. <English>
Zank blinks and looks to Kyo as he answers. He looks at the man who seems slightly frustrated. "With all do respect sir those men are not here" he said "If my shaking your hand conveys that thanks to them through you..." he says Zank looks at Kyo and tilts his head towards the man. <English>
McGuire pulls a deep breath, his perfect memory finishing his recall of the battle. In his head, he passes out from the pain. He leans agaist the wall and just breathes. Someday he'll get over it. Today is not that day. <English>
Kyoshiro's attempt at being humble isn't exactly panning out. He wasn't used to being celebrity, at least in the good way. He holds out his hand for the man to take. His grasp is firm of course, like it should be. <English>
The man shakes Kyo's hand. His hand shake is firm as well and he meets the mans eye. "Thank your men for all that they did." he says and looks to teh soft sound at the commen area entrance. He dosnt say anything. "Iv over stayed my welcome...good luck gentalmen...an be safe." he says and heads to the hatch dissapering. Its quiet a second before Zank says "Hu...didnt see that comin.." <English>
"Neither did I..." Kyoshiro says, going back to drying the mug with the kitchen towel as he heads back up the stairs. <English>
McGuire gets himself under control and steps around the corner to the catwalk. "Neither did I." He wipes his face with the sleeve of his very fine suit. <English>
Zank goes and locks the hatch stopping a second. "I wont lie...never thought bout how many folks had family off planet or on Boros...." he says <English>
"Lots of folk moving off the core. Over crowded, over restricted... lookin' for a new turn on life." Kyoshiro says, "How my parents met after all." <English>
Zank nods and locks the hatch. "Hearin reports from some folks on Ezra and Beylix...more an more folks showin up every day.." he says "Whats that old song....times they are a changin..." he says. <English>
McGuire steps to the rail and takes it with both hands. "A lot of lives were saved that day." He takes a deep breath and smiles to the men below. "I need sleep. I'll talk to you both tomorrow." He pushes off the rail and turns for the commons and his bunk. <English>
Kyoshiro nods to Zank and then to Fao. "I better check in myself before I get board and start drinking again." He heads towards the starboard hall. <English>
Zank nods looking up "G' night" he says <English>
