Location: Persephone Spaceport, Late Afternoon/Early Evening

Summary: The sky is falling, the sky is falling...and there's a Mime.

Risvertasashi stands off to the side of a thoroughfare of those coming and going from the spaceport, taps away at his smartcomm. Busy with something or other, apparently.

The big, big man with the old-fashioned rifle slung over his back was prowling the spaceport, as though looking for something. Davis Bandarra's sharp eyes scanned everywhere, ship hatches, food stands, cargo pallets, everything he could see. He was brooding and serious and looking pretty damn comfortable now that he had GUNS.

Some nondescript guy in overalls and a leather jacket with a heavy looking backpack beside him sits on a bench eating an egg and cress sandwich and watching the shuttles come and go. While he is generally glad he isn't an Alliance member, he looks at them a little longingly as the shuttles are the worse for wear. He sighs and looks at his sandwich wishing there was a little more mayonnaise in it, but continues eating. He watches the people coming and going, as he eats. When he finishes the sandwich, he sits back, prayer rope in hand, slowly ticking off the knots, lips moving slightly and silently, still watching the people coming and going around the spaceport. Admittedly, the guy with the guns causes him to pause briefly, but only briefly.

Zachary and Feria are strolling casually across the spaceport, a place that is very familiar to both of them. He nods at something that Feria has said, then the waves in the general direction of the landing field. "She's waiting here. Mr. Fist told me that he would be coming soon to check her for possible upgrades. You know that I'll welcome your advice on that, too." He continues to lead the way toward a large, silver Scarab-class ship.

A familiar Russian comes off the shuttle platform, a cigarette burning between his lips. His attire however is less than usual, consisting of nothing black save for his boots. A duster covers his upper body partially, left open to reveal a bare chest and the scars that mar his otherwise perfectly tanned flesh.

Feria chuckles a little. "Mister Fist... you mean Sink right? You know Sink and I can talk ships and upgrades like there's no tomorrow..." Walking alongside Zach, the half-smiling woman lifts a hand to tussle her shoulder-length black hair a moment before looking to the Scarab-class ship with a stone-grey gaze. Heavy boots thud across the spaceport, but there's not much notice to take with such in a slightly busy area. Her gaze scans the rest of the area, noting the man with prayer beads, and the other with a gun, her brow lifting before she would glance back to Zach. "She looks nice enough."

Eyes dart back and forth as Erin walks into the spaceport, heading toward the Shu. She seems to be slightly jumpy but also seems to relax a bit as she sees her destination right ahead of her.

April gets off the shuttle, the girl with long purple hair is at the side of her captain (Rickart), she's glad to back on the planet she grew up on.

Rickart walks from the Shuttle Platform, He's wearing a black dusty coat, under it a red shirt, black trousers which fits in a pair of well polished black boots. On top of his head a black fedora hat and sticked in the right corner of his mouth an unlighted cigarette. He's walking with two crewmates at his sides and talking with them about something at low voice. For the ones who are able to hear him talking he has a marked Italian accent.

Rickart gives to his crewman some credits for the shopping than heads back to the shuttle "Take care."

Namydim stepping off the shuttle himself and following behind Rickart and the woman in purple hair raising a brow as he gazes over everyone and then pulling a cigarette to his mouth and flicking his lighter over it no flame flicks the lighter a few more times, then gives up and just lets the cigarette rests between his lips unlit his lighter going back into his brown duster He makes a verbal note in earshot of Rickart and April "I'm going to have to get myself a new striker" He taps his wrist watch and looks around a bit then decides to stick with April when Rickart heads off back to the shuttle platform.

Alana has been preparing for her stay on the Shu Chang, adding some personal tools and touches to the med bay for easier access and more focused care. Still a touch more gaunt than usual, she seems to be on a path to her own healthy recovery. She disembarks the ship, just to get a breath of air, and check around the spaceport for sight of any other crew in the area. Resting on the ramp, she's got her leather coat on, just to keep warm.

There's hustle, there's bustle, there's lots going on...people getting off shuttles, people getting on shuttles...some people even cussing at shuttles no doubt. Cargo's being carted on mules to waiting ships and some ships land or prep for take-off. Everything somebody would expect from a normal afternoon/early evening. There are of course people calling out and encouraging folks to come on board /their/ ships and then there are others who wander the spaceport not as crew or vendors...but as passengers looking for passage on a ship. Tis all terribly normal.

But then again...there's always a calm before a storm. Whether sitting or standing, laying down or just doing repairs on a ship...walking along or trying to sell things to deodorize ships...people start to look up when it seems like as the sun sets...there's something else up there in the heavens coming down through the clouds, coming in, and casting a smokey shadow as it comes closer.

Apparently finishing whatever it was he was doing on his smartcomm, Ris pockets the device and starts to walk onwards. However, when the sun 'sets', he pauses to join others in looking up to see the cause, a hand over his eyes to ward off excess light.

Edison looks up at the darkening sky, seeing the shadow. He puts the prayer rope back in his pocket, stands, and shoulders his pack. Very calmly, almost nonchalantly, he looks around and wanders off to where he can see the edge of the shadow and watches it. After a moment or so, he walks with purpose to the sunny side of the line of the shadow, continuing on a few yards beyond the shadow before turning around and looking up at it again.

Big man Davis's attention was focused too much on the ground and the locale to pay attention to the sky. He eyed a ship deodorizer suspiciously, thinking to himself that a little tree-shaped bit of cardboard wouldn't stop a ship from smelling. When the shadow covered him, he noticed it, but filed it away in the back of his mind to be dealt with later.

Zachary nods to Feria. "I know. Most people call him Sink. I've always had respect for the man and calling him Si--" He doesn't finish the sentence, however. He's looking toward the ships, and spots that same ominous something dangling in the air above the yard. His eyes widen with worry.

Namydim notices April's look up and he takes a quick glance up himself, though turns his attention to the full surroundings and not just up. He also steps up from behind to now walk at her side.. He glances around to some ally ways and the like while also remaining calm. His right hand moving to the small of April's back while he looks around in the shadowing area.

Alana pauses as she spies the shadow spreading across the ground, but wasn't noticing until others did. A soft "Hmm?" escapes her lips as she tilts her head and notes the way it spread. She steps down off the ramp of the Shu Chang, and looks up further to the sky, but as she does she seems to pat her jacket, as this seems like too huge a ship for the area.

"Hey I have respect for the man too don't get me wrong just... what..." Feria was going to finish a thought, ask for Zach to finish his own, until the skies go dark or at least they darken. Lifting her gaze then, even half blind, one can't mistake something is filling the skies - the question is /what/.

Shuttles always come to land in a spaceport, that's why a spaceport exists right? Only...the mystery smokey shadow comes closer and becomes shuttle shaped before its close enough for a person to see the pilot wearing the get-up of a preacher, clutching the controls tightly with wide eyes and then alarm is raised in the port because despite hails and communication attempts apparently from the ground, it keeps coming and then folks start to scatter a split second before it CRASHES into the ground and begins to skid to a smokey/firey halt through the spaceport. THE SKY IS FALLING! - No really. The damn shuttle is crashing. And somewhere, a mime on a unicycle just picks up his damn cycle and starts running. Give it 5 seconds and the screaming will begin.

April's eyes widen as she sees the shuttle crash, she backs up a little into the warmth of Namy's hand on her back as she's poised like a cat ready to spring if she needs to to get out of the way of the crashing, whatever it is.

Yep, Erin saw the shuttle coming toward where she was standing. But raising twin girls the nurse is quick on her feet so she starts to run out of the way, but tries to stay close because she is more than likely going to be needed.

Edison, after having a moment of internal monologue where he quotes Adams' sperm whale ('I wonder if it will be friends with me?'), he runs to get clear, jumping behind something that looks pretty solid, like a ship if one is nearby, or some sturdy looking crates.

OK! There are some things even a giant Russian brawler cant ignore and a crashing ship? That's defiantly one of them. Wth a bit of thought to where the shuttle MIGHT be heading on it's smoking path, Nicoli forgets his stomach for a moment and gets the hell out of the way!

Warning bells went off in Davis's head. He saw the incoming missile... shuttle (although they're technically the same thing right now) and let his body do the talking. He backed the HELL up, leaving the ship deodorizer to its fate, and wound up pretty damn close to the Shu Chang. At the same time, the Enfield came off his back and into his hands. He'd seen too many similar situations where the shuttle was full of troops to not be on edge now.

Risvertasashi's eyes widen when he realize what's about to happen. He doesn't stick around to watch the explosion, instead he ducks behind a large cargo container for cover. Waits for the thunderous rumble to confirm the craft's down. Then, relatively calm, he picks his smartcomm out of his pocket again. Radios the report of a downed spacecraft for emergency responders.

Namydim turns around and looks to the big bang of the crash and then moves his hand from April's back to her arm and moves with her out of the way of possible debris quite quickly towards some cover, and expecting some heat he quickly rips oven the front of his armored duster and wraps it around April to provide some minor means of protection while huddling over her and behind whatever he found for cover. Of course such a crash is quick and he only waits about a minute after the horrendous thudding is over before he lifts his head from the cover and stops being so huddle like over April, his hands slowly closing his armored duster again

Alana gasps and spies the ship falling from the sky as it seems to be coming down in a hurry. Some instinct kicks in and she ducks when the shuttle crashes into the earth, shielding herself behind the ramp, and waiting out the resulting blast. She stares at the ground a moment, waiting out the wave of flame and heat.

Annnd...their off! Actually their down, some lovely little shuttle with a cross painted on it and WHAM, CRASH, BOOM, SKRRRT - you make up the sound effects now, we're on a budget. The shuttle crashes and people are screaming, radios are crackling, both independent and more official individuals are calling for help as the shuttle hits the ground and then just skids. It skids real pretty through vendors, over a couple of chickens, pretty much cooks an unlucky horse that was being unloaded from a ship like a rare asian entree and while it is skidding individuals like Erin and Feria get hit by parts of the shuttle that fly off and Davis can feel the heat of those flames but they are the lucky ones as others end up joining the horse in exotic food stuffs results. The shuttle does eventually come to a halt. Smoking like crazy so the fire is probably inside, even though now other things in the spaceport have caught on fire as well. ITS A MAD HOUSE. Flaming chickens...running mimes...and the fun has just begun.

Erin was trying to get out of the way of the crashing shuttle, but unfortunately she ran the wrong way and got hit by something. She lets out a scream and a few curse words as she gets hit in the lower half of her body somewhere knocking her down to the ground obviously in pain.

Namydim continues to hide behind whatever cover he is behind while keeping his right hand on April so he doesn't have to look to know that she is there he is leaning around the corner of said cover and observing what is going on, though hugging it closely so that he hopefully is not seen too much if at all from the angle of where the ship is.

Zachary casts one quick glance to Feria and then stars at a sprint toward where the shuttle is likely to crash. He clutches his Icomm in hand and shouts, "Ambulance to the Space--" Before he can finish the order, however, a large, fleeing Rhode Island Red rooster, flapping wildly, tangles itself between the man's legs, tripping him so that he tumbles awkwardly, arms flailing until he crashes into a nearby bench. On his way down, his chin twacks on the hard metal of the bench's back, jerking his head backward. He'll have some not-so-fond memories of pain after this. He collapses to the ground, dazed.

Edison slides face first behind some large shipping crates, avoiding any shrapnel or other debris coming from the crashing shuttle. When the rumbling stops and only screaming and commotion are heard, he stands up and dusts himself off. He steps around the side of the crates and assesses the situation, trying to determine the danger and who is nearest that needs help. The Each Uisge is to his left about 100 yards off, the Bengalo Draba off to his right about 150 yards, and the Shu Change is on the opposite side of the spaceport.

No, this wasn't right. Davis flicked the weapon back up and over his shoulder. In his experience, if this were an ambush, it would have happened by now. He dragged himself to his feet and looked around, feeling his skin still burning. This was going to sting for a long time.

Another piece of the shuttle breaks off as it makes a crash landing and heads in Feria's direction. Half-blind, her perception was never so good, therefore thinking she could turn and make it to safety compared to the actual chances of success to the get-away happening are slim to none. For Feria, it's none, and even though she's turned to attempt to make the get away, she's suddenly flat on her stomach, the piece of shuttle making a concrete-and-shuttle sandwich with Feria as the fleshy center.

No time to think, no time to do anything but act. Nicoli suddenly makes a mad-dash for the shuttle, vaulting or ducking debris where he needs and even pulls off and throws his duster to one side and when he reaches it, his hands lock on the first possible exit he can open. His gloves catch fire within moments of his touching the outer hull but he doesn't yank them back, just begins prying the metal appart. When he starts to hear his flesh burning benieth the gloves, he yells, "Someone help!" Is he insane?!

There it was, and the screams. It'd crashed. Ris takes a quick look at the crash site, looks out from behind the container. That looked bad. He carefully looks over things, tries to take in all that he can. Curses under his breath when he spots a civilian going towards the wreckage, and murmurs into his comm once again.

Alana pops her head back up and starts looking around immediately and her nerves are shocked, horrified but this...this isn't violence against people, this is an accident, a terrible scene, and one that has people sprawled and hurt. She jumps up the ramp and runs up a moment, ducking inside the Shu Chang for a moment, before running back down, her backpack slung over her shoulder. She is immediately running to tend to the injured, and fallen, trying to find out who is the most hurt and who needs the most care in front of her.

April peeks out from behind the trash dumpster or whatever was providing her and Namydim cover to see if anything is still happening...

The shuttle is very very hot and somebody from the inside is trying to get it open, if a person is close enough they can hear the screams from inside and the pilot is...well he didn't survive the landing, something's gone clean through his forehead and pinned him to his chair through his neck. It smokes, it sizzles and people who are close enough are getting some mighty fine tans, Snookie might get jealous. - And that shuttle door due to the pressurization from the fire inside, it is hard as hell to get open.

Erin attempts to get up and help with the wounded but she is in so much pain currently that it makes moving difficult. A moan escapes her lips as she tries to move again.

Ris watches a few seconds more after he's made the call, then starts looking about the area around him. Spots a metal 2 by 4, picks it up, then makes a mad dash for the shuttle. He doesn't waste breath trying order Nicoli away, however, but instead wedges the rod between the door and frame. He shields face, at least, from the heat as much as he can with one hand, uses that same arm to hook around the bar. He'd need a new trench coat after then. And then he heaves!

Davis , his initial moment of panic and paranoia well and truly gone, looked around frantically for some protection from the flames, anything, so he could get in and feel a bit safer. Besides the clothing on other people, nothing came to mind. He cursed himself for dressing simply. It was during this wild search that his eyes, trained to spot details, fell across the woman pinned in the metal sandwich and traced a safe route to her. He tightened the strap on his rifle and set off at a run in her direction.

Edison remembers that one of the things he keeps in his backpack is a first aid kit. He rummages around and pulls it out, hoping he remembers what little training he's had. He looks around, and some people are being tended to. He spots Erin on the other side of the tarmac and jogs toward her, dodging people and flaming debris. He kneels down beside her and says in a hoarse voice, "Hold still. This may help." He begins to perform first aid.

Namydim still holding onto whatever part of April his hand is touching as he looks around with darting eyes, left hand removing his sunglasses and slipping them into his jacket he then looks to April and taps her shoulder with his left hand, then when he gets her attention he motions to a hose not far off. "Lets see if we can help put this fire out" of course waiting for her to agree before going. His eyes quickly darting back to the burning wreckage and then back to April's eyes seeking her confirmation to his statement/question.

There's a moment where Nicoli actually stops and yells, "Everyone in shuttle, get on floor! Press down as far as jyou can! Now!!" at the top of his lungs. After which, the russian yanks as hard as he can and with Ris' help, the door flies open! Oh shit, he was right to warn people inside, pressure plus flames plus rapid depressurization is never a good thing. As the backdraft flares out of the ship, Nicoli grabs Ris and dives to one side, pulling the man with him and even making sure it's his own body that hits first! how thoughtful.

Alana comes running out now, her skills and demeanor outweighing her fear. As she gets to the first man on the ground and pulls out a kit from her backpack, eying the burns on his skin and frowns, as she gets to work rummaging through and applying a spray salve to the burns that are visible, looking to others around, "Get him off to the hospital, and out of the area, as fast as you can." She gestures and then looks around, working her way towards the shuttle. If someone's pulled out of there, they'll need care immediately, but there's no way she can offer any assistance on getting in there.

April gets up from behind the trash dumpster as sees that several stalls are on fire, seeing the same same hose that Nay does, see puulls at his arm, "Yes it looks like there are fires to be put out", and then she starts running over to the hose

Somebody inside the shuttle must have access to some controls and with the two geniuses outside working on the door and then whoever is inside doing their job, the command from those outside, those inside do indeed drop to the floor as the door is worked open and WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH the fire comes out like the gorram shuttle's regurgitating flames. Risvertasashi is singed a bit but Nicoli's bulk and dodging speed throws the two out of range of getting fully barbequed. Somebody inside however screeeeeetches and an older monk stumbles out of the shuttle, through that door and that fire...just a torch in a monk's dress...poor dude, he collapses over as those inside huddle on the floor and sob and cry and have to wait it out. Accessing them'll be hard.

Erin looks at the man working on injuries. She lays back and the realization of what has happened hits her and the tears start to fall. Her eyes start to look around as if she is looking for someone.

Ris's eyes widen for the second time today, starts to move but isn't quick enough to get out of the way. Fortunately Nicoli saves him from the bulk of it, but after he lands with an ooph and to a lot of coughing, but he starts quickly beating his sleeve and side of his trench coat to put out the flames. His fedora, alas, is gone to the turbulent winds of the blast. To Nicoli Ris asks between coughs, "You alright?"

Namydim moves at break neck speed for a fat man, following along April with her pulling his arm and his arm moving so that his hand clasps her forearm. When reaching the hose with April he moves to pick it up and look to see what it is hooked up too, checking the connecter and if hooked up he sprays a bit in front and smells the end to see if it is water or something else. If satisfied he nods to April and starts with her help to work on the fires.

"Edison. Engineer," he says by way of introduction to the wounded woman he's working on. "Hold very still. I'm no doctor." He does have a medpac, though, and pulls out gloves and some topical antiseptic, applying it liberally to the wound in the woman's back. "This will hurt like hell." Though he knows he will probably regret it, he pulls up his left shirt sleeve, his arm bare and clean, and says, "Bite my arm. It'll help." He gets a pair of pliers from his backpack and shows them to Erin. "Metal in your back."

Erin shakes her head and gives a weak smile, "Erin, nurse. Ni....ahhh..nice to meet you. No need for the arm. I gave birth to twins. I can deal with pain." She winces.

Zachary staggers to his feet and glances around him, still somewhat in a daze but looking for where to help. He spots a large piece of the shuttle with someone pinned under it. He limps slowly but with determination in that direction.

Kindness isn't in his mind at the moment, he slips out from under Ris, murmuring, "Fine. Find something to put out flames." He's ordering an alliance officer around, beautiful. Once he's up, he actually makes a dart towards some of the not so crispy vendors and from there, would make a dash for..... the fueling station??

Alana ducks again as she makes her way towards the shuttle and looks over to the scene once more. She spies two men trying to get people out of there but caught in the blast back. She makes her way to them and peers, "Are you both o...Nicoli?!" she says in almost shock. "I...I didn't expect you to be down...never mind," she says looking at him and Ris, "Are you both ok?"

April helps Namy check over the hose and is satisfied that its a water hose, she helps him start the hose and aims it towards the closest fire to them...

There's not much that Feria can do, except wave around the one arm that managed to stick out while she was becoming said concrete sandwich. It's a painful thing to do, however, so she doesn't wave it for long, but allows her arm to go limp, so her hand rests on the ground of the spaceport. For those who know her, to spot her, the hand bears her claghdh ring complete with the rubied heart held between the two hands.

Takeshi arrives in a black all terrain intelligence vehicle, filing out as fire suppression ships move to hover in the area and ambulances and alliance troop transports arrive depositing constables to control the craziness, which of course only adds to the craziness.

Edison says, "Nice to meet you," then shrugs and grips the metal with his pliers, puts his hand on her back and says, "Hope no lines are cut," and yanks on the piece of metal.

Erin gives out a loud yell as the metal is removed from her back. The words out of her mouth after that would make her daughters tell her she needed to pay the bad word jar enough to pay for college. She glances at Edison and offers an apology for her words, "I'm sorry."

Davis bolted like a crazy person at the sandwiched figure he saw before. Christ, why did he have to rely on his strength for this? "Hold still, kid," he said to the woman underneath the metal, as he looped his fingers under the metal and /heaved/. His knees burned, his arms strained, but the metal came up, with a strength he didn't know he had, until he had it balanced on one lip and flipped it over. "You're free. Need a hand?" he asked Feria.

Ris doesn't seem to mind the order, just quickly gets out out the man's way to so he can rise. And puts a few steps between himself and the wreck, all the while shrugging out of his charred trench coat. Well, he could do without one for a little while. He looks between himself, Nicoli, and Alana. "We're ok. But we need some EMTs here if you could help us fi--" He cuts off as the cavalry arrives. Ris lets out a relieved sigh. "There we go."

"Don't cuss Sister Abigail...won't do if this be our last moments..."

"Don't cuss? Don't CUSS?! LAWD, are you THAT Gorram STUPID! Sister Mary, we TOLD you not to light them candles but did you listen? OH NO, we had to pray that our fuel lasted and NOW, I lost my best habit!"

*SOB* <--- This is the kinda chatter coming in through the screams of people who are injured, burnt, gasping for air...and then the sisters of the Order of Lonesome Dove, or something like that are all trying to get off the shuttle with help...ripped habits and some are in their underwear, all beautiful ripe lovely innocent plums...well girls, with lots of virtue and holy learning. For the rescue.

Alana nods to Ris and says, "It's alright, I'm a doctor." She nods a moment as she catches the arriving support and nods, "Good," looking back she says, "I'm from Book Memorial, we can get them there, but we need to..." She hears voices and says, "Ahh, ladies this way. Come on and we can get you treated over here." This hardly seems the most risky and dangerous of work now, hearing them ...well, complaining.

"It's okay, Erin," Edison says smiling. "Ship with Kilbride. Heard lots worse. Imagine many haven't said worse as him." He applies some bandaging to the wound the metal left and hollers out away to whomever looks to be in a medical uniform, though hollering is strange with his hoarse voice, "Medic! Over here!"

With cloths he'd swiped from a vendor stall and water from a pump at the fueling station, Nicoli wraps the sopping wet rags around himself, protection from intense heat always helps. Well, ok not always. The Russian rushes into the burning ship, past the women who are running out on their own, past the ones who will make it towards the more elderly sisters who would be charred black before they even reached the door. Alright, so there was a fatal flaw in his planning and he didn't get enough cloth so instead, he braces himself and pulls the cloth off and drapes it over a nun or two and starts escorting them out, his skin starting to steam from evaporating water and by the time he's gotten the first two out? He looks like he should be in pain.

Namydim continues to move forward with the water, taking the front in a protective manner for April and spraying the flames that lick around the various situations. Then out of the corner of his eye he spots a shovel and motions for April to take full control of the hose, then grabs the shovel in hand and starts to use it to heave dirt up onto the same area April is spraying now, attempting to smother out the flames. He also makes sure that he is very close to April while shoveling, being very protective while still trying to help the situation.

Zachary hears the crash of that large sheet of metal hitting the ground, and heads more steadily, but still with a slight limp, toward it. He glances at Davis and nods, "I'm a doctor. I'll take a look at this one. With strength like that, you should help with moving some of the wreckage," he suggests. Sinking with an audible groan to his knees, his hand reaches out but freezes for a moment when he sees the ring. "Feria?" he calls her name urgently. "Feria! Lie still. I need to be sure that it's safe to move you." Then he moves to begin checking on her injuries.

Ris is going to let the emergency forces kitted out for this sort of thing handle the rest. "Careful there. Rescue workers will be here in a few seconds." He calls after Nicoli, and hoped it would be true. And rubs the side he landed on. Tomorrow would be painful. Then Ris looks back to Alana, nods swiftly. "Understood. Let me know if I can assist your people, ma'am. But let's get these folk away from the wreck first." And with that, he'll help Alana guide them along.

Erin looks at Edison and says, "Help me up. I need to see if I can help the others." Of course this is probably not the wisest idea she has ever had, but that nurse training in her kicks in and well...

So the spaceport is a crazy place right now, lots of folks are indeed trying to land but being redirected to other ports and then with Takeshi and those fire suppression ships, the fires in the port itself amongst stalls and other small shuttles and victims of the crash are being put out. People still run around screaming, some in pain...some in panic. The mime with the bike has lost the bike and is busy helping some of the more official people load hurt people onto stretchers and into ambulances.

Over at the shuttle...young nuns and old nuns are being sorted in 'OMG HOW ARE YOU ALIVE' and 'Its just a flesh wound' groups, the older nuns very thankful for NicoCrispy even if he's smoking hot and such, they are being helped out of the shuttle and for people who know how fires work...people might be trying to work their ways AWAY from the crashed shuttle now. So much going on, its a mad house. Who knew new nuns sometimes wore thongs?

As Nicoli is getting people off the boat she says, "Careful, you're gonna burn up in there!" Alana extends a hand to the sisters as they get off the ship and she pulls them to the side and says, "Hey hey, over here, let me look at you, quick..." She takes a look and pulls out her medkit and says, "First degree burns to the hands and face," she gestures to Ris, "Get her to the side," but as the next woman comes off she says, "She's got second degree burns, she needs care now. Can you get the next?" As she looks at the woman she immediately pulls out a spray cannister from the kit and starts treating the sister's burns, using a salve and bandage combo. "Stay here, you need further attention," as she looks around for any others, "Anyone with medical skill in the area? We need a hand!" She shakes her head, "Who dresses nuns like this?"

Edison shakes his head, "Not a good idea, but you're the nurse." Edison loops his right arm around her waist and pulls her left arm across his shoulders. He feels her weight on him and supports her. "Lean on me. We'll go together."

Davis looked at his arms in surprise. "Didn't know I could do it..." he said idly. They were burning, and not just externally too. Zachary's comment broke him out of his trance. "Oh, yeah, right, shit." Big man was too damn twitchy right now. He turned on his heel and tried to take in the scene. Everyone seemed to be doing well... except Alexandrov. Shit. He bolted, again, towards the shuttle, but his knees were still burning and he wasn't paying attention, causing him to trip over a body. He recovered well, like a professional, and reached the shuttle in outrageous time. "Alexandrov, get the hell out of there or you're going to be cooked darker than Emma's toast!"

Feria feels that relief from the metal not pinning her to the ground, but the shocking pain afterwards has her crying out, but not for long. Something wasn't right, she could tell that she was bleeding though, it was where that she couldn't seem to pin where it was. Zach's voice draws her attention and she gasps a bit. "Z-zach...for once...in my life...I think I'm going to be glad...to get to a hospital..." She probably shouldn't be speaking, but it was something else to focus on aside from the pain, to speak, even as the shock begins to wear off.

With another swift nod to Alana, Ris steps up to help the next person out of the wreckage. "Some forward thinking nuns..." the cop mutters under his breath. With Davis rushing over Ris turns his way a second, waves him away with a hand, "Stay back sir!" He doesn't actually wait to see if Davis listens, but simply helps the next person over to the collection of injured.

Zachary crouches over Feria and quickly finds source of the growing puddle of blood, although it's not easy with the woman's black clothing. He whips his duster off of his shoulders and then yanks his own shirt tail out of his pants forcefully enough to pop two of the shirt's buttons. He rips the fabric and then wads it loosely to form a crude pack that he presses into the oozing wound. Straightening his arms, he leans over her and presses his full weight onto his palms, which in turn press the fabric into the wound. "Hang on, Feria! Hang on! Be quiet." THen he raises his head and calls, "Cold pack and coagulants, STAT!"

Erin takes the offered help from Edison, motioning to where Zachary is, "Take me over there. He needs my help with her."

Edison, acting as a living crutch, helps Erin over Zachary and Feria, looking grimly at Feria. He still has his medpac with him, and says, "Have a first aid kit. Will it help?" He steadies Erin, helping her to sit if she needs it.

Alana heard Zachary shouting loudly and frowns, "Dammit, so much," She looks to Ris and says, "Can you keep them coming? More severe burns over her, and the others to the side to wait? They need care but not as much. I have a fellow doc there in need of supply." She doesn't wait and now she's making her way through, heading to Zachary and Feria.

Feria doesn't really need to be told to be quiet. The pain, the sudden blood loss, and the fact that Feria doesn't do well in these types of situations? She soon passes out cold.

Seeing no one else in immediate danger in the ship, Nicoli gets his distance from it, avoiding being shuffled off with the wounded now as he goes to gather up his coat, or rather to kneel by it and rifle through it. After a moment he takes out a small plexiglas (or equivalent) jar of something vaguely green and slimy, semi translucent with a few solid chunks sort of, suspended in it. He wastes no time in cracking it open and applying it to his own wounds, sighing quietly before he turns his attention to Alana and calls out, "Triage medic. Will get around to wounded in moment." though he doesn't move quite yet.

Problem solved, Alexandrov no longer needed Davis's attention, he moved away, hunting for clothes or something to restore the modesty of these nubile young maidens. Well, that, and block his eyes from the not-so-young ones.

Erin sits down next to where Zachary is. She winces as she sits, looking around to see if she can find what he needs. Her skin is pale and her breathing is a bit labored.

And Ris, well, he nods, just goes along with what the good doctor says and helps and sorts the wounded, gets them as far from what's left of the shuttle as he can. Hopefully some other EMTs and emergency workers could help with that, but that's where he focuses his efforts for now. He would dearly like to question those that were in command... but the pilot's dead, and the rest could wait.

Zachary turns his head just enough to look over his shoulder to Edison. "It should," he confirms. "Just a little way," he mutters. He continues to press the absorbent cotton shirt firmly into Feria's back with one hand, while he reaches for the kit with the other. "Of all times to leave my bag at the office!" He snarls. He looks past Edison to Erin. "Book should have sent several ambulances on the way, and I'm sure that the Alliance is loading theirs. We'll have our hands full for a while. Give me a vial of coagulant injection, and all of the heavy bandage that you have."

There is a 70 year old, perhaps the oldest who's own habit is raggedy and quite a bit...sags but she's stubborn about not leaving her girls and she's probably the house mother of the group who is also shuffled off for medical attention seeing as most of her hair was burnt off. This is the spaceport, chaos...pure chaos and lots of medical stuff going on as well as 'peace and order' keeping from officials, the screaming dies down save for screams of pain and the ambulances are there being loaded up and at the ready...the sky is falling, the sky it fell, and Chicken Little was deep fried and turned into a pancake. Fires begin to die down, lots of people are wet...and the air smells likes a good oldfashioned Sunday BBQ...with engine grease.

Edison gives the medpac to Zachary, but doesn't leave as he has two hands and can help. Besides, he's a bit like a dog, and will be loyal to those around him until he isn't needed anymore.

Davis had gathered up clothes from some of the stalls littered around, although they were mostly men's T-shirts saying 'My best friend visited Persephone and all I got was this lousy T-shirt'. He hauled them over to the unclothed nuns and, shuddering and averting his eyes, started handing them out. "Here... here... here... here, please take it, okay."

Erin nods slowly to Zachary and then says, "Um, I think I need to get to Book and get taken care of. I'm feeling a little ..." She takes a deep breath and then winces again.

"Zachary!" calls Alana as she runs up and says, "I have supplies, what do you need?" She look s to Feria and says, "Dammit," then around to the scene, "We've got tons of people in need of care, the passengers are a wreck and there's lots of burns, 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees, some dead." She gestures, "We need to get to the hospital." She looks to Feria, "And plenty of civilians, dear god..."

Edison looks up as Alana calls over to Zachary. He says, "I can help carry Erin and this lady, if you need me to," to the pair of them.

Nicoli gets up finally and pulls on his coat, over the salve he'd put on and the burns that are still fresh on his hands and upper body but he doesn't seem to mind them as much anymore. Instead, he simply starts towards the mid-need wounded. He'll leave the ones who need the most care to the real doctors who aren't as limited on supplies and aren't working with insanely dated medicines.

Zachary looks up briefly once he has administered the initial coagulant to slow Feria's bleeding so that she's ready for transport. He smiles at Edison, and then nods to Erin. "Take her to Book Memorial, and see that she's admitted as a patient. OK? Do you have any medical training? I won't mind authorizing you to help with basic first aid, at least." Then he looks past them to Alana, who is approaching in a hurry. "All personnel should be on alert at the Book by now. Supervise the triage and transport of all injured people, and leave the dead for the Alliance to process. OK?"

.......And FTB.
