 Prairie - Paquin                                                  =>Paquin<=

The rolling hills of the prairie are formed from sandy, loose soil, uneven with rocks and stones and kept from eroding by tussocks of cottongrass growing between fields of purple heather and gorse bushes covered with small golden-yellow flowers that conceal the sharp spines beneath. An occasional tree, stunted and twisted and barely breaking the skyline, can be seen growing across the prairie. Meandering in a general north to south direction, a dirt road makes its way up and over and between the hills.

The Traveller rests near the entrance to the Carnival. Doc sits in a folding chair at the base and sips a glass of wine as he watches and nods to as many of the arrival as he can welcoming them to the days festivities. <English>

Dale waits his turn casually checking things out. He's pretty ok with the way the tournament is being run and just calmly studies his competitors as they make their targets. Looks easier than it actually is, he reckons. <English>

Sink arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Sink has arrived.

Marc makes his way onto the scene of joyous happenings, but in his mind it resembled something similar to a gaggle fuck. He takes a long moment to stand around and scan the area, his face contorted in confusion. Not really one for big crowds, but making an exception since money was involved, "..I like money..." Marc muses to himself, as he presses deeper into the masses of people. <English>

A celtic group plays dance music just on the outskirts of the food area.

Evalyn sort of looks at Dale for a few minutes...before giving something of a dismissive shrug, as she moves back to file herself in line. "Friendly people here," she happily mentions to the guy in front (who, of course, tacitly responds in a grunt). <English>

Gaelic Gypsy Arms Barbecue and Shoot-Off

The day is pleasant, a warm summer afternoon on the plains outside Paquin's largest city. The sky is blue, and fluffy clouds dot the sky above. The green grass stretches out into the distance, to the rolling hills at the foot of the mountains, and back in the direction of the city.

At the far end of the plain is a long line of clear barrier, ballistic shields, that seperate the firing line from the main event. People mill at the perimeter as the sound of weapons fire resounds over the music and sounds of revelrie. Several people shoot at once and the range master keeps close eye on procedure and scoring as each of the shooters move through a series of increasingly difficult challenges.

The main area of the event is bustling, crowded with men, women, and even children. Participants and revelers fill the queue for fresh cooked barbecue and all the fixings, from potato salad, cole slaw and beans, as well as salad. Other lines form at the drinks, for everything to fruity sweet beverages, to sodas, to dozens of beer kegs.

In the background to the eating and shooting, a band plays on a raised stage, and there are even a few people dancing on the platform in front. Further away, the shrieks of passengers on the carnival rides and shouts of winners at the games of skill and chance lend a joyful, celebratory overtone to the whole event.

Moving through the crowd, and positioned strategically at the periphery, there are teams of armed security watching over the event.

Mantissa arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Mantissa has arrived.

A tug-of-war ensues between two groups of teens. The underdog team pulls the favorites into the mud pit to the cheers of the gathered crowd.

Morgan walks over to Doc and smiles, "Not a bad turnout Doc, shame Kate couldn't make it." he chuckles, "My shooting was off today, I don't expect to make a prize but its nice to have the event to see all these people show up. Did you compete in any of the events Doc?" <English>

Dale must have been engrossed in watching a competitor make some fine shooting. When Evalyn speaks again he does a double take. "Oh!" He smiles apolegetically, "Hi Evalyn, I didn't see you there. Sorry about that. I get tunnel vision sometimes." He admits. "I'm just waiting for my turn. How's it going?" <English>

McCain pauses long enough to talk with a couple of the roaming security teams quietly, then makes his way over to talk to the very military old man that's acting as range master and who is scoring the event, looking over the numbers. He calls names and sends runners out into the crowd to find contestants well before they are needed, and keeps a hawk's eye on the shooters to make sure there are no shenannigans. The events are going smoothly already. <English>

A young couple have eyes only for each other as they wait in line for the tea cups.

Evalyn laughs a little, and gives something of a shake. "'s'all cool," she grins, teasingly adding; "Y'know, my niece's just like that. Don't pay attention to nothin' of the world 'round her, 'less it's shiny, fuzzy, or tasty." She playfully winks a little, and shifts her pose, to that of a more comfortable standing position. "Likewise, at least; hangin' out, enjoyin' the day, 'fore I go mercilessly murdilate a target dummy." <English>

Balt has to pause for a moment outside the main admission area to light his pipe. He puffs until smoke chimney's out of the pipe's bowl, then continues in. The crowd milling about here is a good size and it takes a moment to recognize anyone. <English>

Addie shakes her head. "I just learned how to shoot from people I worked for," she offers sincerely. "But I'm good. Can shoot rifles and pistols like a duck can swim." She pauses, backtracks and adds, "I don't mind informal, really. I'm not the most formal of people." The plate is set down somewhere and a rib is picked up and sniffed, that done as if she might be able to smell if someone poisoned the food or somehow tampered with it. Rather rodent like behavior, all in all. "Have I been shot? Luckily no but I've seen people get shot. Good enough of a lesson..." <English>

Doc smiles at Morgan and nods, "Indeed ah did Morg...buht like everahwun else ah gottah waits fer the results ta beh posted." He sips again, "As fer Kate." Doc shrugs, "She gots tha sickness again...nuthin ah can does whil hep her..buht she told meh ta go ahead and go ta this festival anywhays.." <English>

An attractive woman bumps into a man, while another man walks past, behind the pair. The woman sashays away with a swing of her hips, and the second man both disappear into the crowd. A moment later, the first man shouts as he realizes his wallet is gone.

Coming from the direction of the spaceport, Leutrim arrives with others from the Persephone Security Station, dressed in their various uniforms to represent their occupation. Some of their group has already shot and gone back to greet new arrivals, and some of them have yet to shoot. For his own part, Leu looks around and seems to be in a good mood. It's nice and wide open here and despite the crowd, it's not in the city at least. Today, his familiar K-9 companion Aelfred is not with him.

Seeing Baltimore pause to light his pipe, Leutrim starts on in after his Captain. He seems intent to find out where the range master is to be found and check his position on the listings. As he goes, carrying his rifle, grey eyes skim over the crowd, looking for familiar faces that might be here today. <English>

There is some chanting as a group of young men encourage one of their number to chug a cup of beer.

Kennedy travels alone, her footsteps through the crowd weaving in no discernable path or destination in mind. She's just here as a quiet observer, watching the different slices of life as they all converge together in one giant pie of happy festive goodness. <English>

Dale tips his hat to her, "There seems to be quite a bit of excellent competition. I've been watching the last few rounds. I'd hazard a guess it'll be difficult to win. It's good to see you here, though. And nice to be home, even for a little while." he looks Evalyn over appreciatively. "Whatever happens, it's all in good fun, yeah?" <English>

Lochlan nods a bit and leans over snagging one of her ribs and nods a bit taking a bite. "Sounds fair enough, any other skills then cookin?" tipping his head he glances at the PDA again hrming softly. "What boats you worked for? An have ya any problems with ex rebels or the aliance?" <English>

Luke enters the festival from the direction of the city. He looks bad; dark rings under his eyes and an unhealthy reddish sheen all over his face suggest he dropped sleeping in favor of cheap, but hard alcohol regularly over the last week or so. But his clothes are tidy and clean, and he is forcing himself to keep as good a composure as he can. He walks over to the range to clear his registration and get a place in the queue. <English>

To the delight of the watching crowd, flamenco guitarist accompanies a dancing couple in the centre of one of the traffic areas.

Morgan nods, "Hopefully she feels better soon." he looks around at the security, making sure everything is going alright. "No problems so far? I hope its quiet for the whole event.." he chuckles, "Well, you know what I mean. No problems." he chews on his lip for a moment, "You had anything to eat yet Doc? I wouldn't mind getting me some BBQ soon. Flying that ship around makes me hungry." he grins. <English>

Evalyn stifles a little snicker, and gives a quick jerk of her head, up and down. "Yeh. Though, as fun as it'll be, I won't lie-- feel a whole lot funner," she winks, "if I win somethin'. Nothin' wrong with that, yeh?" She turns a little, giving an appraising and approving look at the firing line. "So what all you been up to? Keepin' cool, I hope?" <English>

McCain makes his way by the Traveller where Doc is sitting, out of the way, "Did you get some barbecue Doc? It's been cooking all day." he says, "It's to die for...Mesquite and Hickory both...I'm going to be ill for months if there's anything left when it's over." and grins. <English>

Jame licks her fingers as she finishes her 'dog, eyes trained on watching the contestants battle it out on the range. After a few moments of watching a particularly talented contestant, she shifts her gaze to watch the rest of the crowd milling about, taking off her hat and giving a shake of her head, as she leans back in a lazy, sated pose of relaxation, a faint smile crossing her features. <English>

Marc's trek brings him to the beverage tables and the lakes of beer that the server have situated behind them. "Something dark, eh?" Marc requests his eyes make a quick pass at his flanks, running a quick hand along the strap of his drag bag cutting into his shoulder. "Thanks, chump." Marc grunts to the server as he takes his brew and heads towards the range, swigging on his cup of midnight colored beer as he strolls along. <English>

Cassidy disembarks from the Traveller. Cassidy has arrived.

McCain glances to Morgan and smiles "When you get a chance later, go around and check the perimeter positions, and the overwatch teams." he says, "I don't want any trouble with this many people with guns." <English>

There is some chanting as a group of young men encourage one of their number to chug a cup of beer. Morgan looks to McCain, "you've been doing the BBQ? Oooo is there anything else available to eat?" he nods at the instructions. "Will do Captain. I'll make sure to do so often throughout the event. seems we've gotten a good showing. This is a nice thing you put together McCain." <English>

Mantissa arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Mantissa has arrived.

Gabrielle arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Gabrielle has arrived.

Lyn has connected.

Cody arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Cody has arrived.

Berylle disembarks from the Traveller. Berylle has arrived.

Ivy arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Ivy has arrived.

Doc finishes his wine and rises and grins at Mac and Morgan, "Guess a bite ta eat wouldn't hurt." His stomach grumbles a bit, "Shush you." Doc says to his stomach. He looks at Morg, "Thins seem ta beh going jus fine...so arah...let's go git sum o that barby befer it's ahll gone Morg." <English>

Leutrim waits his turn to speak with the range master, or more likely one of the folk assisting the range master, when he half turns and sees Luke come up as well. Leutrim nods to the other man and then pauses to study Luke's face - not quite looking as healthy as the first and only previous encounter he had with the man back at the Station, "Eh, did you ever get news of your ship, sir?" and eying Luke, the young officer adds, "Are you all right?" <English>

Ooohs and aahhs can be heard from the crowd at one of several shooting ranges as a competitor hits the bullseye.

Luke Luke's black hair is short with a military-type cut. A close look in his face reveals one small scar on the left cheek that was apparently well-treated and blue eyes behind small glasses which never rest on a single thing, but always move, taking in the whole scenery and assessing potential threats at any given moment. His shoulders are broad, but his arms rather slender and there is no surplus fat on his belly or thighs, telling about the physical exercise he must get. He wears the commonplace Independent Armored Duster, under it a beige t-shirt hides his chest. On his hip, a small holster usually holds a sidearm, and the military-looking belt is outfitted to hold shells and magazine clips, and also two small toolsets and a special pocket for handcuffs. On his feet he wears black sneakers. The blue jeans also don't stick out.

The list is sort of short but it's given, the ease Addie does so making it obvious that she lacks the lengthy employment history many people have. "I do have a standing...contract I guess you can call it. Promised the captain of the Twisted Halo that I'd help them out if they need it but I don't foresee it being anything that'll cause a conflict of interest on my part. That...uhm, that won't be a problem will it, Mister Lochlan?" The food is finally deemed safe to eat and she tucks into the rib she has been eating heartily only to wash it down with a swig of beer. <English>

Balt talks with the pipe clenched in his teeth. "Ought to find where folks is signing up, Leu. Likely is range master's planning to be an awful busy fella in about a quartered hour." He looks around for an answer to that issue himself. He looks as if he's going to say something else to Leu when he notices the man talking to Luke. <English>

Morgan smiles to Doc, "Grab some for me Doc, I'll do the perimiter check now and make sure everything is going ok. Meet you back here for the food?" he talks into his Comm for a moment to do a verbal check of the teams before going out for direct checks, "I shouldn't be gone long. And don't shaft me on the portion will ya?" he grins to Doc and heads out for the security sweep. <English>

A loud *BANG* can be heard as a muscular young man attempts to make the bell ring...but the striker rises to a point just short of the bell.

Sink enters the BBQ from the town. His steps are slow, his pace dictated by his physical condition, not will, but as he gets closer, and his ears catch the gay music, the tiredness lifts from his body and is pace picks up. The music, alas do not clear away the dark circles around his eyes, but by the time he reaches the food tables, his eyes are bright. He gives the servers a nod and a smile as he gets a few ribs and some potato salad. He moves past thee end of the line and stands as he eats, watching the crowds, waiting for the main event. <English>

Doc snickers and watches Morg move off, "Nowah whay would he say thaat..eh..beh raght back." Doc heads off into the crowd now and finds the bar-bque and gets two full plates. <English>

Dale offers a chuckle as he moves up the line to start his shoot. "Well, winnings good too, can always find something to do with credits." He acknowledges. "I've been into a few things here and there, but mostly helping to fix up stuff on the Witch. A firefly's usually always in need of repair of some type. I've been on Persephone quite a bit recently though. How about you?" He wonders at Evalyn. <English>

Mantissa mills about the crowds, enjoying the ambience, music and barbecue. Those watching earlier in the day, would have spotted her slug some rather impressive rounds off into the targets from her pistol - though the giant sniper rifle slung over her back doesn't appear to have seen much use yet. Around her arm, draped like a decoration, Gabrielle accompanies her wherever she goes. <English>

Berylle disembarks from the Traveller, pausing to tug gently at a jeweled sleeve. It's a subtle pretense however, as her gaze drifts about the crowd, dark eyes veiled by thick lashes. Satisfied, she begins towards the gathering, all long legs and languid stride. <English>

A make shift dancefloor has been set up and dancers perform a jig to the lively music.

Gabrielle smiles as she walk along with Tissa, her eyes looking around eagerly as she nuzzles into Tissa's side. "This is a fun place," she remarks as she smiles while walking, her eyes looking into Tissa's, though any time /anybody/ with even the slightest hint of them wearing purple walks near her, she tends to cringe in closer to Tissa, and tense up. <English>

Trevor arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Trevor has arrived.

Luke looks to Leutrim, his facial expression lifting the faintest bit into something like an ironical grin. "Hello Officer. Yes I did. The worst news one can get. They are all dead." <English>

Dean arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Dean has arrived.

Evalyn jerks her head again, in the general direction of the shoot-off. "Almost your turn, man-- when you go, good luck, eh?" She idly rubs at the back of her head, as though pondering various ponderings. "Uh...shoot, been stuck on Perseph, yeah. Us at Ethereal got ourselves a few jobs t'work on, and today was one of the few free days I could go out and.../do/ stuff." She grins. "So yanked Sarah along with me to do this thing. Other'n' that, bored as shit-- but hey," she asks, quickly changing the topic, "mind if I ask you 'bout yer ship? Been lookin' t'get one of my own, savin' credits 'n' stuff. Is Firefly wanna the faster ones?" she asks, tone and language suggesting she knows about as much as ships as she does astrophysics. <English>

Not exactly knowing what she is doing here, Ivy Lambsey looks about for her brother. She seems to know that he'll have a perchant to find trouble and she walks in the direction of the 'line'. "Where oh where has my brother gone?" She laughs softly to herself her shoulders trembling as she continues to move toward the line of shooters. It doesn't seem like she's going to want to participate but she can always cheer from the sidelines. <English>

Casey arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Casey has arrived.

The crowd cheers as a song ends, the band bowing and heading off stage, letting the next set of performers prepare them selves.

Kennedy finds an unused hay bale to claim as a seat, enough out of the thick of things but in a position that she can watch the shooters at the range. Perhaps she's eyeing up the competition, but its clear she's keeping tabs on how well certain individuals do. As a child runs past, chasing another, the Baroness reaches out to snag an arm. Words are exchanged, a few credits and a wink, and the boy is off on a new mission in life. Fetch Kenni a plate, and he gets to keep the change. <English>

Lyn comes out from a line that she had been standing in and moves towards the barby. She sees Sink and turns her direction towards him. Her steps slow and relaxed. As she approaches his shoulder she says softly so as not to disturb his dinner. "Captain Fist, I am pleased to see you here. Can I get you something to drink?" <English>

Lochlan hrms and makes a few notes watching Addie over his stolen rib then his beer he hears his name and nods to her. "Excuse me a moment.." Rising up he moves over to the shooting range talking to the old mand nodding a few times and loading his gun. He holsters it moving to the line, at the buzzer he draws shooting down the line of targets. Quick may not bee the desired outcome but he's fast and even with the shooting. A pause and a wince at the end holstering his gun he rubs his shoulder with a groan. <English>

A blank faced blink from Leutrim at Luke's news. It takes a moment for the officer to digest it and get anyting articulated back out again, "Eh, Lord, I'm sorry to hear that." And then a more sympathetic look as Leutrim shifts the rifle he's carrying by a strap over the back of his shoulder, "My condolences, sir." What does one say to such news? A touch of a frown, then noting that Luke is also waiting to check with the Ranger Master, Leutrim adds, "You aren't shooting today, are you?" <English>

Ivy just looked at you.

Balt's listening in to Leu and Luke, slowly sideling up to the two. "Terrible tragedy that," he offers Luke. "Mind if I ask about the happening of it all?" He removes the pipe from his mouth and lets it rest in his hand. "Names Baltimore Flannigan, by the by. Balt really. Don't know that we ever met proper." As an afterthought he extends a hand for Luke to shake. <English>

Mantissa mm's, nodding to Gabbie. "Lovely ambience," she chuckles, her eyes scanning buzzard-like for familiar faces. It takes her a bit of wandering around to spot Doc Holliday and his company - soon approaching the man with a wide grin and a wave. "Heya Doc," she smiles. <English>

You hear the sound of someone paying for too much fun, with their head bent over and their face in one of the rubbish bins.

Cassidy walks down from the Cargo Hold of the Traveller, surveying the area around her with her wide blue and violet eyes. She gives a yawn as her feet reach the end of the ramp, right hand moving to the handle of the M4 strapped across her chest; muzzle facing the ground. <English>

Trevor walks out to this part of the planet and looks about as he does so. He nods to any he recognizes and looks around more noticing the setup and all as it is laid out... He looks around and blinks as he hears the sound and looks around to see if he can find the direction it's coming from. <English>

Doc is nearing the front of the Barby line and hears a famiiar voice. When he turns he sees Mantissa and Gabrielle, "Hey Tissa.howah the hell areah ya?" He holds his arms out to his longtime friend. <English>

Sink takes several bites of his rib before he spots someone he wants to chat with. He takes a step, when he's pleasantly intercepted. He stops moving and gives Lyn a smile, "Hello there. It's been a while. The BBQ appears to be going well." He looks around then shakes his head, "Oh, I'm not drinking today... maybe some water, thank you. How are you doing? Did you have much to do with the organization of the event?" <English>

Gabrielle follows along behind Tissa, and smiles as she nods her head to the person Mantissa greets. The former browncoat not really having much in the way of off the ship friends, her personality isn't... conducive to it. Though on the arm of Tissa, she seems to be nothing but a demure lady, though almost child-like in the way that she continues to stay close to Tissa, at least, as close as she can without actually getting in her way. <English>

Addie watches Loch go with a wry smirk before returning to her meal; more of the dark haired gunslinger's food is quickly made to disappear, a good portion of her ribs and beer gone before the man can even blink twice just about. <English>

Dale smiles at Evalyn, "yeah, I'll be up in a couple." He considers her question and its time to turn on the charm because he's not really all *that* great an Engineer and what he knows about other ships you can fill in a gnats ear, but he's a tech guy, he's got the babble BS covered. "Well, iffin you want something fast and quick with a bit of an edge to her, firefly's the way to go. Also, cheap. But you know what they say about cheap, you get what you paid for, yeah? She's 191feet in length, savvy in the black and got a 5 degrees turn rate. It's a deal, for the most part. But she tends to be cagey, so get yourself someone what knows their stuff. Better yet, get two, because if one gets dead and don't know how to patch things up with gum, you're SOL in the black." <English>

A young couple walk past, hand in hand laughing and sharing an ice cream cone.

Mantissa grins at Doc, momentarily letting go of Gabbie to hug the man. "Heya!" she chuckles, patting him on the back. "How've ya been?" she muses, looking him over with a devilish smile and slipping an arm back around Gabbie's waist. "Competing?" she adds with curiosity. <English>

Amber arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Amber has arrived.

Cody arrives, perhaps back again, if she's already had the chance to shoot once. But in any event, she takes in the crowd cautiously from the edges, looking for familiar faces among other things. Her expression is curious, more than anything, but there is an alertness to her as well. She starts into the crowd, making her way towards the range, stepping around people where needed to find those little openings that continually happen in such crowds. <English> You paged Amber with 'WElcome.'

Hands in his pockets, his coat pulled around him slightly, the brown haired and hazel-eyed man known as Casey slowly strolls along now. Peering up slightly through whatever locks of hair that hang in front of his face, pushing a few strands away from the tattooed half.. After all this is done, he reaches down and fishes a cigarette out of his pocket, lighting it up and grunting in satisfaction as he takes a drag upon the coffin nail. Eyes drift closed for a few moments as he exhales out a small cloud of smoke, leaving a trail in the air now as he walks along through the crowd. <English>

Luke replies to Leutrim again: "Thank you. Thank you both", he adds, taking Baltimore's hand. "Luke Earlyman. Former Sentry of the Inferno. And I am afraid I cannot tell you anything more about that, except that Murl and Sigrid were the best spacers I have ever known." He straightens up and continues: "And now I am unemployed... and yeah, I registered two weeks ago, so I figured I'd come and try as well." <English>

Lyn nods, "yes a while. There are non alcoholic drinks. Coffee and some tea iced or hot. Even If I am not mistaken some lenonade. freshly squeezed by my own hands" her expression is teasing as everyone knows she does not cook. "No Mack and Doc mostly. I bought a new dress or two but could not decide on which. That is about all I really know." she does not seem to be put out by being mostly useless. "They have done a wonderful job though, haven't they?" <English>

A small girl clutches her doll to her as she stands in line for the ferris wheel.

Berylle meanders through the crowd, auburn hair nearly spun copper in the bright afternoon light. She pauses here and there to exchange chit chat with others, or share smiles - hers lazy and enigmatic, like Mona Lisa with a handgun. In the end she claims a chair at a table where a fast paced game of cards is taking place. She settles into place like a big cat in a beam of sunlight. <English>

Evalyn nods a little, as though understanding exactly what Dale says. Of course, all this talk of degree radius and cagey parts and SOL-- to be honest, the woman was more looking for a simple 'it's a good ship.' But alas, such is the mindset of those less inclined towards technophilia. She grins, and laughs, and nods again. "Hell, sounds good. And cheap's all good, too-- got a friend who's good with ships, so if it breaks she can fix it like no tomorrow. And y'know, when yer shoppin' on a budget..." She shrugs, as though those ellipses explained -everything-. <English>

Marc finally reaches the waiting line for the competition, a meat hook still wrapped around a half full cup of frothy beer. He watches the shooting with mild interest as he presses the rim of his cup to his lips for another drag. And after a few botched rounds from one man and perhaps a well placed ones from another he loses concentration to examine just who is in their respective lines. His brows loft as he moves toward Evalyn and pokes her playfully in her side, "Whats this about budgets?" <English>

Morgan comes back from his security check, and waits for Doc at his seat, he notices Berylle and Cass coming off the ship, along with Lyn and smiles, glad that the crew is getting out for the event. he looks around for Doc and his food, biting his lip while he scans the crowd. He notices Doc in the line for food and sees him chatting to a couple of people.. "Aww dammit, my food is delayed." he sits down in Doc's chair while he waits, getting himself comfortable.. "Least I've got his seat while he gets my food." <English>

Gabrielle eyes the man over as Tissa leaves to hug him. She snuggles right back into Tissa however, as soon as Tissa wraps an arm around her again. She smiles faintly, seeing that the man isn't wearing any purple, which puts him up from suspicious to tolerated. Her green eyes looking a little down, before back to the Doc's face, before she says with that same smile on her lips, "Hello." <English>

Zachary arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Zachary has arrived.

Trevor shrugs he doesn't find the fellow patron that was tossing cookies but does look around more. Likely not going to be drinking anything alcoholic either but he might venture one drink but maybe not either. <English>

The warmth of the day and the excitment of the crowd blend into a good time to be alive.

McCain makes his way over to where Lyn is talking to Sink, and slides an arm around the former and leans in to give her a kiss on the cheek as the crowd swells. He smiles to Sink, "I have two dozen cookers going, and we prepared like five tons of barbecue, and I'm not sure it's going to be enough." He studies Sink, "You look like you've had a rough patch...Are you doing all right?" <English>

Ivy's voice lifts as she moves through the crowd toward the line. She has an icomm and she's not afraid to use it. Her voice reaches a fine haranguing pitch crying out loudly and into the icomm, "Dale Kane Lambsey!! Where the gorram hell are you?!" She blushes realizing she might have caused some hearing damage to her brother if he's listening too closely to the channel. That blush doesn't keep her from trying to peer around people to spot Dale in the crowd. <English>

A glance and a nod to Baltimore since his Captain has come up as well. Leutrim listens to what Luke has to say about his missing ship and crew and Leu frowns. "Didn't even find out if it was related to the pirate attack at Eavesdown Docks?" He dosen't like that at all, "You'd said you'd just gotten off your ship right before that attack, and then it was gone after, right?" Ah, there's one of the Range Master's assistants making rounds. Leutrim glances back to Luke, "Excuse me a moment. I've got one shoot left - need to find out where I'm to go." <English>

Mantissa grins at Doc, "Wow, twins?" she laughs. "Gosh, congratulations," she nods, chuckling - her eyes wander over the man's extensive arsenal. "I see I'm gonna be shooting against you on the rifles," she remarks, comparing the MSG she's got slung over her shoulder with Doc Holliday's. "Was kinda hoping I'd be the only one around with a half-decent sniper rifle," she grins mischievously. "Oh," her eyesight glances over to Gabbie. "This is Gabrielle," she introduces the woman. "Gabrielle, this is Doc Holliday." <English>

A few Security personnel approached Cassidy. After exchanging a few words with them and having them walk off in groups of two to patrol the crowd, the warrior women makes her way over to where ever Morgan is and sighs, "Lot's of people... hopefully there won't be any problems." She looks around again keeping a vigilant eye. <English>

A fight breaks out betwen to inebriated heavyweights over the hand of a pretty young maiden.

Dale jerks a thumb at Evalyn when Marc asks his question. "Hola." he says cheerfully. "She was just asking about ships." At Ivy's comment in the comm he frowns slightly and responds in a much softer tone adding a smirk. He responds throught he comm to his sister: "What? I'm over with a couple of folks from Persephone. Evalyn and Marc. I'm about to take my turn. Where the hell are you?" That taken care of, he gives both Evalyn and Marc an apologetic grin. He's good at those, "Sorry, my sisters a little ... uh... High Strung." <English>

Walking calmly through the crowd, Amber's strict black and white is marred by the odd patch of dust and mud on her boots - but what do you expect? Its underfoot. She is still, though, a small island of calm amongst to lost and the scurrying, gradually making her way towards the area where the shooting contest is being held and pausing to observes, one hand holding a drink the sip, the other tucked over the shoulder-bag she carries. <English>

Balt offers Luke a solemn nod. "Got my condolences. Only ask as folks like us is in the habit of looking into them sorts of things. Come to you like a strings of fairy lights all knotted, and a few of us about can be handy at untwisting 'em, if you follow." He gestures to himself and Leu with the stem of his pipe. "Break a leg Leu. Failing that, break someone elses." He calls after as Leu leaves for his shot. <English>

Morgan chuckles at Cass, "Said the same thing when I came off the ship. I just checked on the security teams, we're good so far.. feel free to get yourself some food and drink, most of the crew is out and about. I'm holding Doc's chair hostage for now." he grins. <English>

Evalyn Hadn't realized she'd been poked! She squeaks a little and laughs, turning around to affectionately smack Marc's hand away. "Hey, hey, hey. No pokin', c'mon!" She grins, and looks back at Dale, shaking her head. "It's alright. Invite 'er over, we can chat and chill," she offers happily. <English>

Adrian arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Adrian has arrived.

Jame stands up with a lightning-quick grace, her peaceful respite in the cacaphony is obviously at an end as she shifts her way back into the mainstream of the crowd. Hat crumpled into one fist, she lightly hums along with a tune she recognizes in the din. Eyes search through the sea of faces, passing through the ones she doesn't recognize, stopping on those who seem almost familiar, before moving on once more. The bedlam doesn't seem to faze her in the least as she agilely avoids most that shift into her path. <English>

There is a lull in the noise level as one song ends and another begins, the band striking up a festive beat.

Gabrielle nods her head to Doc as she stands there, and says with a smile, "A pleasure to meet you." She looks at the gun slung over Doc's shoulder with no small amount of interest, eying the thing. "Nice gun indeed... though, I'm still partial to the ones that I have from my time in the war," she remarks softly as she looks at it, still keeping as much contact with Tissa as she can. <English>

Sink looks around the party nodding in agreement with Lyn, "It does appear to be a very well planned event. Everyone is having a good time. I do intend to seem McCain and give him my congradutations on a event well planned." He raises an eyebrow and grins, "Well, if you've taken the care to squeeze the lemons, I'll have to give that a try." Just as he finishes McCain appears out of the crowds, "Ah, speaking of the man of the hour, there you are. I must say the event looks grand. You have every right to strut about this place like the King of Paquin. Put a feather in your cap." He looks over to the cookers and nods, "Well I would have volunteered my barbecue pit and and cranked out some food for you but I've been distracted." He looks back at McCain and shakes his head, "The Dragon is fine, strong as usual, but...", he sighs and hangs his head, "There's a friend of mine who is in trouble, personal trouble, and I've been spending my time helping out. It's hard, but everything worth while is." <English>

Dean enters the festival and has a look around. He makes his way through the crowd, seemingly not looking for anything specific but then suddenly spots a familiar face a few yards away. He walks towards Luke, nods to him and says: "Wei Luke! Ni hao ma? (How are you?)" <English>

Lyn slips her arm around Mack and leans against him. Smiling at Sink and Mack she agrees, "you look tired." she looks around and smiles at the gathering. "It is really something isn't it?" she motions to a waiter and orders a Lemonade for Sink then turns back to Sink, "something we can help with?" she blushes and shakes her head, "forgive me." <English>

Lochlan moves back over towards Addie stoppping to get some more fodo himself then takes his seat setting a beer down a second beer for the pair of them. "Hrmm..depends on how long they might steel you away.. we can talk about that more later.. what skills do you possess?" <English>

Cassidy nods slowly looking around, She spots the two Burly men fighting and speaks into her Comm. softly, asking one of the contractors to handle the situation. Her eyes then move back to Morgan, "I think I'll just stick around here with you. I'd rather not eat till after my job is done." She gives him a smile, "Guess I'm the same way about food as you are with drinkin'." <English>

A small boy jumps up and down as he wins a small toy at the ring toss.

Marc nods and smiles to Dale as he explains what the whole 'budget' discussion was about. And as Evalyn smacks his hand away he fake a pained face, "Wonderful, you've injured my gun hand." He jokes, dipping back his cup of beer to finish it off and idly throw the empty cup over his shoulder...nature be damned. "Never knew you had a sister." He states to Dale. <English>

Luke shrugs. "The bit about the pirates was a false lead, I think Just a concidence. But I have been told they died as heroes...", he tells Leutrim and Baltimore. As Dean calls out to him, he turns around and waves half-heartedly. "Hey, Greasemonky", he calls back, the usual ironic tone that goes with the nickname completely missing and replaced by sadness. <English>

McCain nods faintly and purses his lips, "I'm sorry to hear you're having problems Captain." he says, and sips from his beer bottle. He smiles to Lyn and squeezes Lyn, "Yes, indeed, as Lyn said, if there's anything we can do..." then looks around the event, "It does seem to be going well, but I can't take credit for it really, the competitors are the draw...They brought everyone here. I just organized it all." and smiles, "It was good for the local job market...I hired a lot of crew who were off shift from the grand carnival." <English>

Putrid to some, but the smell of cigarette smoke brings a slight smirk to Kennedy's lips. Craving ignited, she pats down the pockets of her cargo pants coming up empty it seems, for her shoulders sag slightly. Plan B. "Hey mister." Kennedy calls to Casey who has meandered nearby, her eyes scanning him quickly from the top of his head to the tip of his boots. "Spare a smoke?" <English>

Doc grins and shakes his head, "Ahm jus shootin pistols taday Tissa...so doan beh werryin bout meh...and thanks..we're happy and excited bout tha wee ones." He winks, then looks at Gabrielle, "Tha pleasureah is mine Gabrielle.." He looks back at Tissa now and says, "please s'cuse meh....Ah'l chats at ya soon..aftah ah eats and shoots..." He says as it is his turn and he gets two full plates and smiles and heads back to his seat under the Traveller. As he approaches he sees Morg sittin in his chair, "Ah sureah hopes ya'd jump in mah grave thaat fast Morg." He grins and hands his friend his plate. <English>

And soon Berylle is the queen of the table. She's dealt a hand, and someone gets her a drink. She's a bit out of place in the tough and tumble crowd, but you'd never know it to listen to her low, velvet laugh, or watch her banter flirtatously with her tablemates. <English>

Ivy picks her way toward her brother folling his imprecise directions. She seems to be used to that. There's a line and there is shooting, he must be in that direction. "I'm closing in on you." She says into the icomm but without her shrill big sister tone. She actually sounds like she's teasing him. It helps to confuse him, keep him guessing. She still can't see him but she counts on god and fate to lead her in the right direction. <English>

Addie shrugs. "I wouldn't think that it'd never be for more than a few days at the most. Could always take leave without pay if that'd help?" The hand she has been using to eat her ribs with is glared at once she realizes how grease- and sauce-dirtied it has become and here she is, having forgotten napkins. "I know how to fight hand to hand and also can use knives and stuff. Can find stuff with some ease and I am not too bad out on the streets." She grins and adds, "Oh yeah. Am kinna good at hiding stuff, too." <English>

Lochlan nods a bit passing her a napkin and grins at her. "any problems sharing a bunk? Taking orders?" Lowering his voice he speaks to her quietly across the table <English>

Morgan shrugs to Cass, "Mccain has brought in a lot of security for the event. We're just overwatch really. They'll handle any problems and we'll step in if required. Go get something to eat already, I don't want to hear your stomach growl over the crowd.. you'll ruin the music, shoo!" he waves her off towards the food line <English>

Several scruffy looking teenagers are escorted out of the festival by a few security members, complaining all the way out, "I didn't try to sell nothing!"

Dale nods at Marc and Evalyn, "Yes, Older sister. She's a Doctor. Was hoping she'd be able to make it and seems she has. She'll make her way over here shortly one way or the other she has a tendency to be ble to push through crowds. Even if she's short, she's got spunk nailed downpact." He chuckles. "My dad's probably around here somewhere too. haven't seen him yet though." <English>

Jame heads through the exit labeled <South> Outskirts of Town. Jame heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Jame has left.

Evalyn smirks, and winks. "Only means," she teases Marc, "I'm that much more likely t'beat you in the contest." She looks back to Dale, and grins. "Well that's cool-- family outing 'tween y'all? Gotta be fun." <English>

He's about to take a few steps onward, making his way in the direction of the food.. But then he hears someone, at least he thinks, calling out for him. Blinking now, he turns around just enough to get a good look of Kennedy. After several moments, with his mouth hanging open.. Casey then nods over toward her, closing that maw back up. A few steps over now to the woman, he slides down to a courched position as he takes out a half-crumpled pack. Getting several to slide out from a small hole, he offers them over to Kennedy now as his other hand starts to reach over in the direction of his other pocket, rooting around for that lighter. <English>

A server in a white apron over his jeans and t-shirt approaches Sinclar Fist with a tray and a large iced glass of Lemonade. <English>

Mantissa grins to Doc and nods, offering him a tiny salute as he departs, "Take care. Mind, you're competing against me on the pistols as well - I did my shooting earlier," she winks, patting the Colt 1911 by her side as they part ways. Giving Gabbie a little peck on the temple, they start to wander around some more, trying to see who they might run into. <English>

A laugh over his shoulder for Baltimore's well wishing about breaking legs! Leutrim nods and with a smile he unslings the L1A1 he brought with him. It's standard issue and it's all he has to shoot with today, so it'll have to do. Going where he's told, Leu puts down his rifle to lean it against a prop while he double checks his ear protection and adjusts his safety goggles. The particular target range he's put is clear and green to go, so he checks and loads his weapon. When ready, he looks to the Range Master's assistant who will take his last score and waits for his signal to go. Ready, Leutrim sights for his last targets, fires his rounds, then strips the magazine out and clears the chamber, careful to observe safe proceedures. When he's finished, he thanks the assistant and shoulders the rifle, making his way back down the line.... only who does he bump into? "Dale, I didn't expect to see you here today." And a nod to Evalyn and Marc who are close by. <English>

There is a lull in the noise level as one song ends and another begins, the band striking up a festive beat.

Morgan notices Doc and smiles, he gets up out of Doc's chair. "Hey, I gotta take my breaks when I can find them, I'm nto looking for a grave as eagerly I assure you." he takes the food from him, "Thanks much Doc, much appreciated." he starts eating and watching over the crowd, and glances back to Doc, "Who were those two you were talking to while you were in line?" <English>

Long distance to Dale, Evalyn, and Marc: Leutrim just came up and posed to you guys incase you miss it in the spamfest. Addie's fingers are deftly wiped clean of the BBQ sauce while she continues to answer. "Well, as much as I don't mind sleeping in a shared room I think it might be better if I can somehow get a room of my all...I sometimes have problems sleeping and that's not anything I should inflict upon others unless absolutely necessary, you know?" Pausing, she looks at Lochlan oddly before whispering back. <English>

Cassidy chuckles with a small smirk, "Maybe in a little bit..." She sighs, "When's the competition startin' any how?" Her rim accent comes out now as she speaks more. "I was meditating all day today, tryin' to get as much focus on my job and the competition as possible." <English>

Sink smiles at Lyn and shakes his head slowly, "I wish you could, but alas, it's a healing process that requires consistent observation, support and carrying of a small group of friends. Too many people would only distract from the process." He looks between her and McCain, "I'm very happy you are willing to help and if something comes up where you can, I'll let you know. It's very generous of you." He nods, "Oh the competition drew the competitors, and as such you baby has grown up into a pretty good party animal. I say wear the feather high, you deserve every ounce of credit." He pauses, "What happened to the Great Carnival, did they go out of business?" He nods and bows his head to the server and he takes his glass of lemonade, "Thank you." <English>

Morgan nods to Cass, "some are shooting now, if you wanna go put your shots in. You haven't heard the gunfire?" he chuckles, "maybe you SHOULD eat." <English>

The crowd cheers and laughs as the winners of a three legged race as they fall across the finish line.

Lochlan nods a bit glancing at her. "All of the above Addie.. your answer is part of the interview.. just be honest." <English>

Balt takes a moment to puff his pipe again, the smoke smelling faintly of cherrywood. "Well, you ever decided you want to thing on the hows and why of the thing more, ought to wave us," her replies to Luke. As Dean approaches Balt nods to him. "Don't believe we met. Names Balt. Seems you know mister Luke though." <English>

Gabrielle continues to walk with Tissa, as she looks around, before she hmms softly. "Lots of people," she murmers to Tissa as she walks along. Her eyes looking at some of the rides, before they go back to Tissa. She nuzzles into her and she tries to think of something to do. As more then one idea comes into her mind, she things on them, immediately rejecting any of them that would countermand Tissa's talk to her about behaving, which leaves her with no ideas. She sighs dejectedly, not having any other thing to do then move around with Tissa. <English>

Addie hmms softly and then looks away. "I can't say I am against it..." A passerbyer has her falling quiet and then she takes once more when she returns to giving her answer. <English>

Doc sits and digs into his food. At one point when his mouth is clear he responds to Morgan, "Tha one is a friend from mah othah past...ah thin the othah one is her significant othah..." Doc moves back to his food, "So ah takes, since ya got back befer meh thaat evrahthin seems ta beh in ordah?" <English>

Lyn grins, "I wish you luck Captain. We will be having a private party soon Doc and Kate are having twins. maybe you and Lirin will be available for that. less confusion." <English>

McCain shakes his head "No, the Grand Carnival is still running, but they have shifts that work there, and spare equipment, so I leased some of their extra carnival gear and people to run it. Gave them some extra money, because buddha knows carnies aren't a rich bunch." He smiles as he watches Sink for a moment, evidently concerned, but he keeps it to himself otherwise and just sips his beer. <English>

With a clatter of wagon wheels and jangle of harnesses, a very fine buggy comes into sight. Trevor looks around and goes to get some food a bit of all he can get, and a glass of lemonade as well. regular lemonade, not hard lemonade or anything. <English>

Luke is arranging the details with the rangemaster now. He shows his Lightfoot and his MP-7 and is accepted and registered; then he turns back to Baltimore as he moves a few steps away from the registration counter and replies reluctantly to the beginning police investigation: "Yes, I will do that if I should come across anything." <English>

Ward arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Ward has arrived.

Kennedy cants her head slightly at Casey's reaction, as if he's unused to being addressed. But she smirks nonetheless when he practically takes a knee in front of her. "I was asking for a cigarette, my dear, not a marriage proposal." She jests lightly as her fingers reach to pluck one from the offered back. Its propped between her lips, and when a flame is offered, she cups her hand over his to help and guide it properly. <English>

Marc cocks a brow to Dale as he mention his older sister, "Hmm, maybe I have seen her." Marc seen a lot of women, and as his math teacher once said, there are seven women for every man...but that's not particularly relevant. As Leu appears near dale and mentions his hello Marc offers the man a nod. "Good day, Officer." Seeming to forget the mans name for the moment as he moves onto his other vice, russian brand cigarettes. <English>

Cody's wandering takes her by various people, near and far. She catches sight of Dale over at the line and heads that way lazily. Course she does know that Dale is going to be in the event, so she's not surprised to see him. "Hey, Dale!" she calls out, with a jaunty wave. "And Evalyn too! How're you all doing in this big crowd. Stars, I thought I was going to wander for days without seeing anyone I know." <English>

Morgan he nods, "Everything secure and alright. I'll be checking in with all the teams often through the event so I figured best to eat now." he takes a big bite of the bbq and waits to chew and swallow before continuing. "Thanks for getting this for me Doc.. I'll keep you company here for a bit, before I start getting mobile to check on the teams more frequently." <English>

A new person shows up a bit late to the shindig, and, after passing by security with what is perhaps anomalous ease, meanders his way over to the shooting gallery to observe the participants. He seems greatly interested in the competition, though he stops and grabs a few ribs on his way over to it. <English>

Dale shifts his weight and steps back a little to open up the circle as Leu comes up, "Hey, Leu." he winks at the officer. "I've got hidden skills." he chuckles, "So they tell me, at any rate. Figured I'd try my luck, can never tell." To Evalyn he nods, "It's Paquin, so yeah, I'm sure Zander's around somewhere too. We all grew up here." He glances to see how far Ivy's got through the crowd, not wanting to take his turn until his sister can see it. Then there's cody! He grins at Cody. "fantastic! I was hoping you'd get here too before I had to shoot." <English>

Lochlan nods as he listens then leans over again to talk quietly smiling a bit nodding as if he understands <English>

Mantissa grins at Gabbie, nodding, "Mm, sure is a good crowd. Which is fine - more spectators, never a bad thing," she laughs. "I'm quite curious what the competition will shape up to be like," she chuckles. "I'm sure there're better pistol crackshots around here than me - but as for rifles, well, that's gonna be an interesting story," she chuckles, interrupted as the late-running man rushes past them. "Someone looks like they're late for their slot..." she remarks. <English>

Evalyn casts a glance up, and laughs. "Heya, Leu," she says chipperly-- and as Cody approaches, a queer sort of expression finds itself on her face. It disappears just as quickly, though, and she slides back such that she can watch everyone in this little group. "Cody!" she cries out happily. "Long time no see. Keepin' cool, waitin' t'see how everyone's done in the gunnery range. You in this little contest?" she asks happily. <English>

Zachary moseys slowly and patiently through the jostling crowd, using his staff to steady himself when people occasional bump into him. His eyes flick from point to point, noting where different styles of barbecue, and the various side-dishes, are available. He seems equally interested at the assortment of people who have come here - young and old, rich and poor, plain and flamboyant. When he spies the familiar face of Lochlan through the crowds, he offers a friendly wave before he orders a plate of barbecue with potato salad, beans, and a roll, and a tall glass of lemonade for himself. <English>

Berylle's card game seems to involve the occasional punishment of hard liquor. At one bad hand, she relents and tosses back her drink to the chorus of hooting and cheering male voices about her. Her laughter is coy as she lays the back of her hand over her lips and gestures, urging the refilling of her glass and the dealing of the next hand. <English>

Ivy shows up in time to cheer for Dale. She doesn't look all rahrah enthusiastic about it but what do you expect from a doctor, she makes a living patching people up after they've got bullets in them. "Don't get hurt," she teases as she comes closer to the grouping including the people in line. "You never know when someone will come out of nowhere shouting and demanding their money back." <English>

Following the sounds of crowd and the directions of the folks in town, Ward meanders down towards the gathering. He takes a look over the assembled as he tries to get a feeling as to the goings on. <English>

Gabrielle nods her head, as she moves aside for the man that decides to rush through, green eyes following him. "Well... I'm pretty good... I just didn't have a gun, and I wasn't sure if you'd let me use one of yours... after the whole thing with Vakshald," she says with a faint smile, as she nuzzles against Tissa, her eyes still wandering about the place. <English>

A few moments tick by after that comment, then it decides to hit him. "Darlin'. Don't know y' well 'nuff t' start throwin' out purposals.." Casey quips back over to her, "B'sides. M' sure somethin' fine like you's already got someone." He lights up the tip of the cigarette now, bringing everything back to his pockets after he's finished.. He then turns around now, taking a seat next to Kennedy at the hay bail. "N' 'sides. If'n I was, m' sure the ring 'd be throwin' at y'd probably look nothin' too good anyways." He notes over toward her, starting to reach his hand out in an offer to shake. "Name's Casey Garnet." <English>

"Aye", Dean replies to Balt. "Bloody well I do. We're on the same ship, sharing a room. Well, used to." His face darkens as he speaks these words. He then adds: "Dean's my name, Michael Dean." <English>

Doc finishes his meal and says, "Time fer meh ta go does mah thin...catch ya's in a bit." Doc heads off to the pistol range. <English>

Sink looks at Lyn and when Lirin's name is mentions he averts his eyes, just for a moment, then looks back and Lyn and smiles, "Of course, that sounds lovely. Twins! How exciting. Are they bringing the twins onto the Traveller? Young children and space travel, not always the best combination." He then turns to McCain and nods, "Ah, I see, yes, it was a very good idea to hire the carnival workers. They are experts in the field of fun and crowds, and very generous of you." He pauses and looks about, "I fear I'm taking all of your time, I'm sure there are many others that want to shake your hand and tell you how wonderful the event has been." <English>

Luke walks to the shooting range when his name is called up. He drops his equipment and shoots first the Lightfoot, then the MP-7. After securing the weapons, he picks up his gear again and returns to Baltimore in front of the rangemaster's desk. <English>

Addie nods. "Yeah, I can do that," she says. "Ain't like anyone really keeps track of that stuff, right?" Her gaze finally returns to Lochlan's face, her expression suddenly serious. "So what do you think? Am I what you need or should I start making my way back to the spaceport so I can catch a shuttle back to Persephone?" <English>

Mantissa gives Gabbie's waist a little squeeze. "Let's see what that fella's up to," her eyes narrow mischievously. "You know, talk to me about guns when we get back to the ship. I think I might be persuaded to give you a peashooter of some sort, to start getting you back into it," she tells her as they make their way through the crowd towards the spectators. <English>

As soon as Ivy and Cody are there, Dale's got all the extra confidence he needs and is ready to take his turn in the Pistol and Repeating competition. He nods to his friends, boss and sister and he's off. He gives the judges and crowd a nonchalant smile as he walks up to start. He looks fairly confident and at ease, no tense muscles no tightening in his walk as he approaches his targets and sets up to take his shots. Always putting on a show, even when he might not mean to, the man needs no effort to look dramatic. He's pretty sure one or two of his shipmates are lurking too even as he glances to his sister as she watches from afar and smiles her way. In any case, he will prove he knows his way around a gun. Even so, he could use a little bit of luck mixed in with skill, but he's ok with not being the best if that's his lot. It all comes out smooth when he steps up to the targets and fires. He shoots, and fires! Not bad, not bad at all. The results cause some interesting murmuring among the judges. He takes his next round using the repeating weapon and isn't quite so good with that. Well, not everyone can be a crack shot. Dale grins, "Well, that's that." He tips his hat to the judges and heads off back to his sister and friends. <English>

Leutrim has removed his eye protection and returns Marc's nod, "Sir." he says simply to the older man. And a bit of a smile for Dale with a quirked black brow, "Hidden talents can be useful. Good to hear it." If Leutrim might have said more, Ivy's busting up with her exurberance makes Leu pause, then smile to her, "Dr. Lambsey... I never had the chance to thank you for your valuable assistance at the Eavesdown Docks. You'll be pleased to know that I heard miss Autumn bounced right back and I saw Lee recently as well." A glance to Evalyn, but there are so many people here and Leu's still wearing his ear plugs, so things are muffled somewhat. <English>

Gabrielle nods her head as she walks along with Tissa, still as close to her as she can get, before she says, "Alright. I'll make sure to do that." She grins as she nuzzles into the other woman, green eyes going to the man that Tissa pointed out as she walks along. <English>

"Good to meet you, Mister Dean." Instead of a handshake Balt bobs his head to Dean as greeting. "Just been telling Mister Luke how sorry I was to hear about that. Blessing awful thing, it is. Like losing family." He scratches his temple with the stem of the pipe. "You mind if I ask what work the two of you did on the ship?" <English>

Moving closer, Amber finally stops near Baltimore and those with him, offering coffee in silence as the group talks, eyes drifting over the assembled crowd, making mental notes the same way a jackdaw collects bright and shiny things left lying on the back porch. <English>

Cody nods to Leutrim as well, since she's met him before, giving that jaunty wave and even including those she hasn't met yet. "Good afternoon all! I've already shot earlier. I'm glad I did too, I don't know if I could have shot at all with this much of a crowd." She grins at Dale though as he goes off to shoot. "I'm going to need to find a seat soon, is the only thing." Course then she turns to watch Dale shooting, and as he comes back, she gives him an even bigger grin. "Well done!" <English>

Marc gets a tap on the shoulder as one of the shootin event runners catches up with him, motion that he's up. He mumbles a bit and excuses himself from Evalyn and Company, as he makes his way to the repeaters challenge. Arriving at the firing line he unpacks his M4, safety first of course, He taps in a mag, locks and cocks, and waits for the buzzer...The relatively low muzzle report from the carbine blends in with the rest of the shooting as he rips out bursts of selective fire into his target(s). Finished he drops the empty mag into an awaiting hand and racks the charging handle a few times to clear the ARs chamber. He soon disappears from the shooting line, rebagging his gun and is off to find familiar company again. <English>

Cassidy herms, "So just go up to a target and start shootin'. How the heck is Cap'n keepin' track of scores..." She shakes her head with a chuckle. "Probably gota turn in your targets." Her eyes move to Doc, "Yeah we got the teams under control." She starts to move towards her targets without another word. When her feet bring her to one of the many targets she raises her M4 and clicks it into Burst mode. She lets the bullets fly with the loud sound of 5.56 round being thrown out of the gun's barrel. She hits the target every time. When she's finished and the range master lets her, she collets her targets and brings them to who ever is keeping track. The Warrior woman then moves to another target, pulling out one of her Lightfoots, however she doesn't fare as well in the pistols event. "I suppose I should work on my side arms a bit more," She announces to the judges before making her way back to Morgan and Doc. <English>

Lochlan nods a bit and rubs his chin. "Well we offer a week to two of try out and adjustment time 10 credits a week for that period.. if you and the crew work out then your raised to the normal pay level.. food bored all that is covered you will prolly share a room but with another female.. if you take it.. you need to submit to a back ground check.. and meet the XO at least.." winks. "my sister..so shouldn't be a problem." <English>

The man Gabbie and Tissa speak of doesn't seem to notice them at first, though he talks to the range officer, and seems a bit disappointed at the results of it. He reaches up to tap the side of his sunglasses, and the deep blue lenses shift to a light emerald green. <English>

Ivy is distracted by her brother's turn up at bat. "Yay! Dale!" She commits to the enthusiasm now that her brother is actually firing his weapon. What the hell, what is family for if not to support and encourage...and drag you down. She laughs then and turns her attention to Leutrim. "I'm very happy to hear the patient's recovered. Lee seems to keep finding himself in a heap of trouble, he might want to consider a career in medicine more seriously. He's got good hands and a good bedside manner." She holds her hand out to Leutrim bouncing on her heels to check the judges reaction to Dale's last shot. <English>

Luke nods to Baltimore's words. "Family indeed. And it seems the Inferno also honored its name in the end...", he says, trailing off in thought. <English>

Content to keep to himself, Ward moseys amongst the throng of people observing the goings on and getting a good feel for the atmosphere. Tipping his hat back as he watches a few shooters take their shots, the man keeps his peace. <English>

It isn't too long and it's Docs turn to shoot. He steps up and cants his head at his target. A slow easy smile plays itself across his face. The fingers of his right hand tap the handle of his Custom Colt...then in a blink his gun is pointed at the target and his five rounds are fired off in repeated succession. The Colt is twirled and just like that is back in its holster. "Whel then...seems ahm done here." He promptly turns and as he walks from the range he winks at the next competitor. <English>

Morgan finishes eating the bbq and cleans up, "Well, I must say McCain isn't as bad a cook as I first feared." he grins, "Mind you, after my recent piloting exploits, I was worried he'd spike my food. Keep me in the head for a few hours" he looks towards the range then back to Doc, "How'd you do shooting Doc?" <English>

Kennedy lets the cigarette dangle from her lips, talking around it. "Well, you're right there. I simply could not live with anything less than three months of your salary on my finger. The trick is to make nothing, and be a vagabond, that way you can never disappoint in that catagorey." Her hand slides into his, "Kennedy Sinclair. Though careful how you toss that name around, or soon we'll be thronged with people asking for autographs and pictures with me. Its all quite embarrassing." And more importantly, said tongue in cheek. The cancer stick is pulled from her lips so she can can't them towards the sky, giving a good long exhale to clear her longs of the smoke. <English>

A nod and a smile in return for miss Cody from Leutrim. But his attention is distracted for a moment to watch Dale shoot. Ivy jumping up and down and shouting is ... very amusing. And as he is male, Leu can't help but watch her for a moment before she's turned and grabbed his hand to shake it, "Eh, good hands and bedside manner, is it?" Humor lurks mischieviously in his pale eyes, "I'll be sure to tell him you said that. I bet he'll blush." <English>

Addie nods. "Fair enough. But you really might wanna think twice about bunking me with someone....hell. Guess if it gets too bad I'll try to get an apartment or something. Would that work?" She looks around and grins. "So I guess we can give it a shot. And don't worry. Record's clean." <English>

Balt cocks his head to Luke. "Good to know the whole of this thing ain't ruined your sense of humor." He notices the coffee then and follows it back to Ambers arm and finally the erst of Amber. "Miss Amber. Knew you was a personal assistant, just didn't know you was mine." He accepts the coffee, drinking without inquiring as to the whats and hows of the composition. He mmms. "Not bad. Ain't quite chewy enough, but does it's job." <English>

Lochlan nods a bit and grins to her. "We'll tlak more when McCains done.. I wanna see who's the best shot roung here.. I can tell ya who its not though" Chuckling a bit. <English>

Mantissa tilts her head a little as she watches the man hawk around the spectators with his colour-shifting sunglasses. "Nice gadget," she remarks quietly to Gabbie. "Question, is that purely aesthetic... or does he have a more sinister purpose in mind?" her lips curl up into a mischievous smile as they loiter about at a safe distance from him. At this moment she hears her name being announced for rifles, "Agh," she pats Gabbie on the back. "Watch over him," she pecks her on the cheek as she heads off, cursing at her wonderful luck at being the last gal up. Signing in with the judge, she lumbers up the giant HK MSG-1A9 down from where it's been slung over her back. Assuming the proper stance behind the firing line, she proceeds to fire off a set of near-perfect rounds from the long rifle, racking up an impressive array of hits. With a self-satisfied smile, she blows the smoke over the barrel and heads off to sign off with the judges, before rejoining Gabbie. <English>

Cassidy arrives back to her previous position next to Morgan and Doc. Her hands move into one of her pockets and pull out a brown cigarillo and a chrome Zippo. She lights the tobacco filled stick of death and fills the immediate area with the sent of vanilla. "Hum, well I guess it's just a matter of waitin' now." <English>

Lyn nods at Sink, "have a good time and if you need anything at all please let one of the servers know and they will ocme get me" she smiles at Mccain and heads off into the crowd. <English>

Adrian watches the last woman shoot, and smirks. Oddly, he seems to be focusing more on the rifle than its owner. As she finishes up, he meanders over to her, finishing up his ribs, and dumping the remains into a handy-dandy bin. "Nice shooting, miss." His voice has a slightly playful tone to it. <English>

There's a squeeze now to her hand as he gives it a quick shake, Casey then lets go soon afterwards, pulling his cigarette away from his lips and exhaling through his nostrils. He smirks, "Easy t' find somethin' that's three months salary if'n I'm a vagabond to, I s'pose." He replies over to her, now starting to fold up his leg and propping his foot up so his thigh is against his chest. There's anotehr drag or two and he peers over toward Kennedy slightly, there's a twitch of his eyebrow at all of that. "Well. M' gonna be sure t' keep th' name all hush hush n' such. After all, don't wanna get hounded." He peers over to the rest of the crowd quickly enough, "Obviously gotta be workin' on that story though. Don't think m' seein' too many people askin' f'r pictures 'f me. .. You either, f'r that matter." <English>

Ivy laughs and turns to look back at Leutrim clapping her hands at Dale's shot. She shows her loyalty to her brother. "Do you think he will? I have good hands and well..." she laughs again causing her shoulders to tremble and shake and her hair to shift against the soft fabric of her dress. "Variable bedside manner it comes with my temperament. Don't get shot and I and I won't have to chide you." Incorrigible, she winks before seeking her brother out in the crowd. "You did great, you convinced me that you knew what you were doing!!" High praise?! <English>

One of the runners from the range comes over to McCain and speaks quietly to him as he hands him an envelope. He smiles at Sink, "I don't mind Sink, you're some of the best company anyone could hope for. But now I have duties to attend to." and raises a hand and moves off from Lyn and Sink. He makes his way to the stage and waits for the song in progress to end before taking the stage and speaking into the microphone, "All right ladies and gentlement. We have the results of out first ever Gaelig Gypsy Shoot-Off. I'd first like to thank everyone for coming, doubly for those who chose to compete. You've made this a wonderful event, and I'm pleased to have had a part in putting it on." He holds up the envelope, "So, without further adieu, our winners..." and opens it to begin the awards, "No need to come up when I call your name...Keep eating and drinking my beer, and we can get the prizes sorted when you have time." and smiles. <English>

Morgan nods to Cassidy, "Yup, but I'm just glad the event is going well. I'm not worried about the competition as much. I entered to participate and get some shooting in to stay frosty while I'm here. I'd rather find out who the better shots are from OUTSIDE of the company, instead of in." <English>

A strange, blurry ball of energy slams into Evalyn's shins, causing the woman to flinch. She casts a glance down, and sheepishly grins. "Had fun?" the woman asks the girl latched onto her leg. As the girl starts to say something, she gently puts a finger to her lips, and looks up as McCain takes the stage. "Let's see if I got anything, huh?" she asks. The little girl giggles happily, and begins to play with Eve's fingers. <English>

Now that the firing has stopped and McCain has begun to make announcements, Leutrim draws out his ear plugs and tucks them into a pocket so that he can more clearly hear what's being said. He smiles to Ivy's comment but his attention now is for McCain. <English>

Dale laughs as he comes up, "Thanks." to Cody. He gives her a half smile, "Had to try, after all." He too finds a nearby seat to flop down in, "I don't usually participate in these things, but was curious what would come out of it...." When Mcain starts to speak he quiets down to listen, a smile for his sister then to Leu, Evalyn and Marc. <English>

Gabrielle blinks as Tissa suddenly desertes her. The woman looking around more then a little confusededly. What the hell was she supposed to do now? So she contents herself for the moment by looking around at the man that Tissa had pointed out to her. Her green eyes hard as she looks at the man, studying from changing lenses to paint speckled footwear. Her eyes narrow at the colour ot the speckles, but since they have obviously been scrapped at, she doesn't mind so much. <English> Sink tips his hat to Lyn as she leaves, then nods to McCain as he goes off to do his duties. He takes a sip from his drink then spots Trevor, and moves through the crowds towards him, always glancing at the stage, waiting for the announcement, "Hey there Trevor. Good party no? Hey drinking the lemonade as well, huh?" <English>

Luke looks to Baltimore with a puzzled face. "What? Oh. No...", he says, before grimacing in pain. "She quite literally exploded." After that, he looks to Amber. "That one on the house?", he asks before taking one of the cups she was offering. <English>

Addie pauses and looks almost like she might say something else but Lochlan asks for a moment and she nods, simply looking around while waiting. <English>

Mantissa gives Adrian a little grin as she finds him addressing her. "Well hallo there..." she chuckles. "...Ahh, what is it now? Lieutenant? Captain? Seargeant? Officer Calhoun," she settles at last, offering a hand, once her rifle has been shouldered at last. "Nice to run into you again. I didn't recognise you at first." <English>

There's a slight sniff at Baltimore for his comment surrounding the coffee, and Amber offers something in the other hand. Doughnuts. In a box. Still warm. A murmer to Balt "You *did* say to bring them on our next meeting, or else." Oddly, there seems to be something golden brown and - fluffy? - in the middle of the box, and Amber's eyes are fixedly ignoring said fluff it as she turns her head to listen to the announcement from McCain. <English>

Marc seems to wonder aimlessly in the crowds of people, his former company is lost to him for the moment until alas he finds Dale, and that Ivy lady he used to see at that crappy dreggs bar. "So your Dale's sister?" He states, more to himself as McCain gets ready to announce the winners. Turning himself in the gun runners direction. <English>

Cassidy chuckles to Morgan, " 'Suppose ya got a point there Morgan... I'll go off and see my teams once the winners are announced. Make sure they're doin' there jobs. Don't want Cap'n cheated out of his millions." She gives the man a Smirk before looking out into the crowd again, always vigilant. <English>

Cody goes quiet too, one hand reaching down to her left thigh absently, though it's just resting there. Marc gets a nod as he returns. "Good luck to everyone who shot today, and here's to a great party." she suggests. Course, she doesn't have a drink at all, but that can be fixed. After the announcements are made. <English>

Morgan nods to cass and talks into his comm to make sure everyone is on their toes while Mccain announces the winners, "Excuse me cass." he takes his leave to go stand near McCain incase there is any kind of disturbance <English>

Doc attempts to make his way through the crowd now that's more or less grouped mainly around the shooting range. Eventually he makes his way back to the Traveller and his crewmmate there, "Whel...guess whee'll find out the results soon nough." <English>

Dean nods and answers: "I was working as a computer specialist there. Quiet work most of the time, I had the luck to miss out on most of the dangerous situations. Including this last one." He then falls silent to listen to the announcement. <English> McCaingrins faintly, and pulls the slip out of the envelope, "All right, just so no one wonders what all the standings are, the complete competition results will be posted to the cortext immediately after I finish here." He smiles, "So, without further adieu...In the Pistol bracket, winning a prize of twenty five hundred credits, and a Colt 1911 pistol, our first place winner is Corin Anders, of the Red Angel. Second prize, and one thousand credits goes to Kennedy Sinclair of Black Wolf Enterprises, and third place and five hundred credits goes to Patandy Mars of Gaelic Gypsy Arms..." <English>

Adrian smiles a little sheepishly. "Prefer if you keep that under your hat, miss.. I'm here as myself, not as my profession, dong ma?" His smile lightens a bit. "Still a Warrant, though.." A spark of recognition.. "Tissa, isn't it?" He seems a bit unsure, but then he looks to Gabbie. "And this would be..?" <English>

Sink glances at Trevor, "Patandy has a last name? Wow." <English>

Cheers and yells of congratulations errupt all around the range and crowds for the first round of winners announced! <English>

Gabrielle's eyes instantly narrow as she hears how Tissa greets him. Her already hardened eyes turn more then a little suspicous, as she hugs herself right against Tissa. Trying to wrap herself around Tissa, so that only her eyes are staring at Adrian. "I have no name," she says simply as she watches him. <English>

Adrian says in English, "Was it something I said?"

Once her hand is released, she's producing a flask for the lower pocket on her leg. Kennedy may forget her smokes, but she's never oft far from alcohol. "Well. Then our vagabond cover is working, isn't it?" The flask is waggled at him, in offering. "Are you a drinking man, mister Casey...?" Her name is called, a sigh. Perhaps subtle disappointment at only getting second place. "Well. It appears I'm a bit out of practice, hmm?" <English>

Evalyn sort of snaps her fingers, and makes a face, before looking down at the girl at her side and grinning, wiggling her fingers against the kids hand. <English>

Cassidy smirks at Pats name, "Well ant that a spectacle." She looks to Doc who arrives just as Morgan rushes off to be McCain's 'body guard' "Still three more events to go. I did terrible in the pistols competition." Her eyes continue to watch the crowd. <English>

Trevor chuckles and nods as he listens and looks to Sink "never knew her name either." he smiles and nods "Yeah nothing too strong for me at least yet anyway, likely not at all, but we'll see." he smiles <English>

Balt grins to amber. "This be a meeting then? The lot of us standing not fifty feet from the portopoddies and knocked into by alcoholics who ain't made it to a meeting yet?" He gestures to the crowd around the beer kegs. The Fuzzy wad in the middle of the case catches his attention though. "Miss, did you bake a hair doughnut or simply fry up the collectings from the floor of your shower?" <English>

Mantissa glances aside, momentarily distracted as she hears the winners being announced. "Ah-HAH. Now I know whom not to go up against in a gunfight," she nods to herself. "Shame I didn't win that bracket though," she pouts a little, before turning back to Adrian with a chuckle. "Tissa, indeed," she smiles, "this is my little pet," she ruffles Gabbie's hair. "Don't mind her. Hardcore, former Browncoat. She's developed a pathological fear of Alliance," she shrugs. "You know, you and your soul-eating ways," she grins devilishly. "She's mostly harmless though, unless you walk into one of her cunningly placed spork-traps. God help you if you do." <English>

Lyn finds her way to where Jade is standing, "I didn't even enter" she confides. She looks at Doc, "So your special barby sauce is a hit I see." <English>

Although he does not know any of those names of those who have won the pistol shooting competition, Leutrim raises his voice with many others to cheer on the winners! Then, as the noise subsides, he smiles to the others, "If you will excuse me, I hear the food here is great. I better go grab some before it's all gone." Starting to make his way clear of Dale, Ivy, Evalyn, Cody, and others, Leutrim starts to head for the tables and lines where the food is being served. He has no anticipation of winning any of the events, but good free food and beer are not to be passed up! Better than coffee and donuts, any day. <English>

Preserving a demure expression, Amber tells Baltimore ernestly "Indeed no, sir. I actually went to a great deal more effort than _that_." <English>

McCain just smiles "Moving on to the Rifle bracket, our first place winner taking home twenty-five hundred credits and a Colt 1911, is Mantissa Avaria of Phoenix...Second place, and a thousand credits goes to Evalyn Brevviax of Ethereal Investigations, and third prize and five hundred credits goes to Salin Fawzy of Black Wolf Enterprises." With a chuckle, he tucks the slip into his pocket, "Halfway there...Again, the winners can come see me after the ceremoney to collect their prizes." <English>

Reaching over now, he slowly takes the flask and peers down into it.. He sniffs voer the contents, then takes a swig and wipes at his mouth with the back of his hand. Casey offers the container back over in the direction of the woman now. "Must be. " He concurs with the 'vagabond cover' being effective. "N' I sure 's hell ain't no mister. Just Casey works f'r me." He winks over at her and smirks, then there's a perk now and he looks off to McCain as he hears the announcement of the winner. "Well. Gorram. Seems I missed out on you shootin'." Turning his attention back over, "Remind me not t' piss you off." <English>

Adrian nods. Then pauses. "'Spork traps?' Do I even wanna know?" He seems more than a little worried, then pauses as the rifle bracket winners are announced. "Nice shooting! Ya won anyway!" Third place is announced.. "And so did my old boss!" <English>

Gabrielle looks at the Alliance officer, as she attempts to giggle maniacly at Tissa's last comment. Of which she manages to pass off, quite well. She then looks at Adrian, before looking back at Tissa, a very mad expression on her face, as she says, "I'm not /scared/." She manages to glare, at Tissa, before she lets out a squeak of a surprise as Tissa is first. "Goddess won," she says with a smile as she hears that, nuzzling into Tissa.. whome she just called... Goddess?! <English>

Doc grins at Lyn after lightn another cig, "Least it seems ta have gone ovah bettah than mah shootin did...next year ah'l takes mah time...no biggie though..shootin is jus shootin..." Doc grins. <English>

Evalyn stares for a moment...before sort of crying out in surprise, and giggling. She lifts the girl at her side -high- into the air, using the momentum of the 'throw' to plop her around her shoulders, like a potato sack. "We're rich," she says, nodding seriously. "Now we can go buy that planet you always wanted." With giggling girl in tow, she heads towards the food booth...fully intending to /splurge/ on food. <English>

Lochlan grins.. "two out of three who entered placed from the ship.. not bad.." <English>

Sink looks around the event and finds an place to put his drink so he can clap, "I don't see Corin or Patandy. I hope they don't miss out on their awards, that would be a shame." He nods to Trevor, "We learn something new every day...", he continues to clap as McCain announces the next round of winners, "That's interesting. I dont' see Gen.. er High... er Mr. Salin either. What is his official title these days?" <English>

Zachary drops his plastic fork to the plate and claps when the names are announced. In the same moment, a somewhat drunk person in the crowd stumbles and hits his table, causing the plate and its unfinished contents to fall to the ground. He just stares at the mess for a moment and then goes to one of the serving lines. He orders a nice, safe barbecue wrap that he can eat without having to sit, and another lemonade. <English>

Marc listens to the first two rounds of winner, smiling as he hears that Evalyn is annouced. "Thats Cute." He mumbles, standing much like some kind of Goober near Dale and his ring of friends. He lights up another belomarkanal cigarette and drags away as he awaits the results of the repeaters. <English>

Trevor shrugs "I'm not sure. I don't even know if I've met the man myself saw news reports and the like with him in them or such, but that's it." he shrugs <English>

Cassidy chuckles and looks to Lyn, "Well how are you with a weapon any ways? I don't think I've ever seen ya use one." She tilts her black locks to the side in a questioning and curious manner. <English>

From the center of the box of doughnuts Balt tugs out the stuffed Pomeranian the way one might carry a soiled diaper to the trash. "Don't suppose you'd have any interest in explaining this, then?" he asks Amber. <English>

Rodney arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Rodney has arrived.

Well, well, some of the names in the rifle competition he does know. Leutrim stops in his tracks and looks back over his shoulder in time to see Evalyn tossing little Sarah up into the air gleefully! A bright, warm smile from the officer as he watches the pair and waits as Evalyn starts in the direction of the BBQ lines too. Leu calls over to her with a hand raised to his mouth, "Congratulations, Evalyn! Won't Eugene be sorry to have missed it!" A soft laugh, then he goes to find a beer now that the shooting is over. <English>

Amber says, bluntly. "No. None at all." A muscle along one side of her jawline jumps as it attempts to repress giggling. <English>

Mantissa grins at Adrian after having listened to the announcement, "Thanks," she nods with a chuckle. "Hey, don't ya reckon it's funny how they give everyone a Colt 1911 regardless of their specialty?" she muses, pecking Gabbie on the forehead. "Aww, I'm sorry little one. Then why do you shirk away and nuzzle into my shoulder every time we pass someone wearing purple, mm?" she muses with a quiet purr. "What's your old boss doing now, anyway?" she turns her attention back to Adrian. <English>

Addie smiles. "Not bad at all. Sorry you didn't place." <English>

From Evalyn's shoulder, Sarah gleefully waves at Leutrim, as though responding! "We'll take her out to diiiiiiinner!" she calls back to the man, sort of dopplering off into the crowd. <English>

"Hey, congratulations to Evalyn," Cody says. She's listening to the winners get announced, but then ends up talking on the icomm briefly to someone. Course, there's not much more for her to do, and her leg is bothering her ever so slowly more and more. She just watches everything and every one, smiling as Evalyn heads off with a doppler effect. <English>

McCain nods faintly as the applause dies down a bit, "Next in our Repeating Weapons bracket, the prizes are the same as the other brackets, so I won't keep saying them." and smirks, "First prize goes to Marc Orrel, who works for one of the noble houses. Second place goes to Kris, who works with Sulchar Baobh. Finally, third prize goes to Rodney Kilbride, also of the Sulchar Baodh..." and looks sheepishly from the paper to the crowd, "I hope I pronouced that right." and grins. <English>

Lyn approaches Mantissa and her small group, "Congratulations of winning." she smiles at Adrian, "Major" she nods her Londinium accent firmly in place. She just smiles at the clinging girl. "Thankyou for participating and thank you for coming." <English>

Lochlan shrugs a bit and motions to his shoulder. "A week ago I took two bullets I am lucky if I could draw let alone hit anything.. not to mention.. I could not hit a barn with a shotgun." <English>

Adrian shrugs. "Dunno. I lost track of him after they tacked another star on him and kicked him up to OCOMOPS. Er. Office of Combat Operations, that is." He looks to Tissa curiously. "Wait, she's afraid of anything purple? Now I'm confused.." He blinks curiously as he's addressed by Lyn, and looks around for someone. "Think you have me confused for someone else, ma'am.. I'm not a Major." <English>

Luke starts to frown and watches the exchange between Baltimore and Amber closely, while absentmindedly applauding with the crowd. <English>

Doc says, "Whel..ahm goin fer a walk." He meanders back into the crowd and walks around until he sees a certain person and where she's sitting. He walks up behind her and says, "So what cha up ta Bery?" <English>

Dale waits, listening to results with a devil may care attitude. He gives a wolf whistle when Patandy is mentioned, then cheers when Evalyn wins a prize. When two members of the witch win in repeating he's more than a little enthusiastic in his response with a big old, "Whoop!" and a toss of his hat. <English>

McCain pays Evalyn some money.

+OOC: Evalyn has gone OOC. Evalyn has left.

Oh. He's been milling about, trying to take care of urgent business, but that doesn't keep Rodney from moving into the BBQ, just shutting down his IComm. Thanks to Cody for giving him a yell via their comm line, no? Since there is a blink of his blue eyes at the mention of Kris...his ship...and then him? And his ship again. He follows his Chief Engineer's instructions and approaches her...looking around the crowd. "So...Kris beat me? Damnit. I am gonna have to make her mop." <English>

Gabrielle looks at Lyn, her eyes narrowing as she calls him Major, and she attempts to actually wriggle her way into the same spot that Tiss is occupying. She looks indignantly up at Tissa as she says in a soft whisper, "Because... I don't want to be bad!" Her eyes sweeping between Lyn and Adrian, as she stands there, her eyes still narrow. <English>

Berylle lays a card on the table, flashing a kittenishly smug smile at her playing partners, then turns a friendly smile back at Doc, thick auburn hair sliding back over bare shoulders. "Just enjoying the sun and playing a little cards. How about yourself, Doc?" <English>

Cassidy sighs and nods to Doc before moving into the crowd, effectively disappearing, and moving to check on her team members. She has her Comm. on if a situation requires her attention. <English>

Sink raises an eyebrow at Trevor, "Marc, with a repeater? Well I'll have to head over there and give him my congratulations." He claps and lets out few whoots. <English>

Mantissa gives Lyn a grin and a smile, "Thank you miss," she chuckles. "Didn't think I'd do that well," she remarks, turning to address Adrian, "mm, was about to remark I didn't know you were a major," her eyes narrow. "So what /are/ you now?" she muses, before glancing across to Lyn and offering another grin. <English>

Ivy smiles at Cody and Dale, "I think I'm going to head off to the carnival," she looks down at her icomm which seems to be louder and busier than usual. "Try not to get into too much trouble but if you do I should be in range and able to help out." She lifts her hand and smooths her fingers over her temple. "I'll talk to you later." <English>

Balt wears his sternest face. "Miss, the owning and operations of a pomeranian is a serious--and if I might say so myself-an utterly masculine endeavor. Filing's it's nails, tying up it's fluffy bits with bows, singing it little songs so it will go to sleep-the whole lot of 'em is just as macho as shooting pistols ion the air while swigging tequila." He cradles the toy in his arm as a demonstration, softly stroking it's frosting-gummed fur. <English>

Marc watches at the autos are announced and lofts a brow as he comes out first. "Well, that's my cue to get drunk and hit on loose women." Marc muses, as he turns and heads for the beer booths, pondering if they happen to have any hard alcohol to sate a generic riflemans needs. <English>

Woot! Well, it's been a busy and exciting day, to say the least. A glance around for Marc as Leutrim hears his name but that man had disapeared from view earlier and lost in the crowd. Having secured some of the wonderful smelling barbeque and a beer, Leutrim starts to make his way back over towards more or less where he had seen his Captain last. Only, as he comes up, not only is Baltimore still in about the same place, but there is Amber too, "Hey there, you." Leu greets Amber with a smile, "Enjoying the fest-" What the hell is that Baltimore has in his hand? Is it a donut with mold all over it? <English>

Doc grins at Berylle, "Seems mah shootin was jus a tad off taday...didn't win..buht thaat's ok..one can't win em ahll.." He nods to her game, "So howah ya doin here?..ya whinnin anythin?" <English>

Trevor smiles and nods "Good at least someone we know personally won something, more than the rest that is. I guess we kind of know patandy however, but not as well." he shrugs <English>

Kennedy takes a swig from the flask when its offered back to her, one eye pinching slightly shut in a wince at the first taste of the rot gut she filled the container with. "Yes well. The key is that you don't have to run faster than I can shoot, just faster than the other guy." Is said simply, if a bit dry, as she cycles liquor for cigarette, taking another puff. Her attention is only half on the awards, the faintest hint of a smirk on her features as she hears Salin's name called, but the rest just make her eyes glaze while she waits for the final catagorey. <English>

Addie winces. "That doesn't sound too good." Her shoulders are shrugged at that but she smiles as well, perhaps not the type to allow sympathy pangs to mar her mood, normally? The winners are given a round of applause from her as she looks up at the one who made the announcements, a twinge of jealousy causing her to smile a bit ruefully. "Too bad I missed my shot," she grumbles. "Maybe the guy will have another one of these soon, huh?" <English>

Patandy disembarks from the Traveller. Patandy has arrived.

Lyn smiles, "I know but you are alliance and I could not remember the rank. Always better to go over than under. " she smiles, "you do not remember me at all do you?" she says softly to Adrian, but to Mantissa, "Lady Tudor Grant but call me Lyn almost every one does. " she smiles at Gabriella but does not enter the girl's personal space. Then to Mantissa, "Just wanted to congratulate you on your win." <English>

Bowing her head meeky as a nuns hen, Amber lifts her eyes worshipfully and listens to the declamation of the Rites Of The Pomeranian with devotee-like attentivness until Leutrim joins the group with food in hand. She gives him a small wave, and tells Baltimore "You forgot one thing sir. Beign eternally gratefull it does NOT weight the 250 pounds it thinks it does, or you'd -never- get your chair back." <English>

Lochlan nods a bit. "we do alot of work with McCain its not the price of the guns its how hard they are to get ahold of.. " <English>

McCain smiles and gets the band's drummer to give him a drum roll as he says, "And our final event, the expert pistol shoot...This was a tough course and our competitors are truly some of the best shootists in the 'Verse." The drum roll stops and Mack pulls out the slip, "First prize, Corin Anders..." and quirks a brow, and comments, looking off to the side, "Did he really score that?" he asks, then gives a whew, and shakes his head, "Okay moving on...Second place, Kennedy Sinclair...And our final winner for the competition, Patandy Mars takes third place in the pistol expert competition." <English>

From the friendly complaints around Berylle, it's clear she's being modest, "Oh, just a few hands, here and there. Enough to keep it interesting, mmm, gentlemen?" The table erupts in laughter. "You're welcome to join us Doc if you like?" <English> Adrian shrugs. "Well, I'm trying to stay under people's radar. Might put some folk off to know there's soldiers here.. And if you're curious, it's Chief Warrant Officer. But don't worry about it. And sadly, no I don't, Miss.. excuse me; Lyn." He smiles goofily. <English>

Mantissa nods to Lyn, "We were on that horrid campaign in the jungle together, weren't we? What do you do now?" she guesses with a slight chuckle, before nodding to Adrian. "Ahh, well, congrats," she smiles. "So what're you up to, since you're not competing?" she muses with a hint of a purr. <English>

Dc grins and shakes his head, "Preaciate the offah Bery...buht ah knows when mah lucks not runnin good..and it seems taday was wun o those days..so ah'll kindly pass." He tips his hat to those playing cards with Berylle, "Ah'll jus mosey round...com meh ifin ya eed ..anythin." though he doesn't depart immediately. <English>

Sink cheers again when he hears Patandy's name, "She won twice." He finds his drink and knocks the plastic cup against Trevor's, "Well, that was that. It's a good party. I think I'll go find Marc and shake his hand. Maybe that crazy repeater skill will rub off. You coming with?" <English>

"Here Leu, hold this." Balt tosses the stuffed pomeranian to the man. "This is representative of my career: a great deal of barking with the most of my time stuffed in fried foods." Turning back to amber he points a knowing finger. "Pom ownership ain't easy, you hear? Came home yesternight and found Fawzy already soiled by chair. Had to roll up a newspaper and show him what for. Now I have to go back and soil it myself just to make things right." <English>

Lochlan stands up and waves. "Kenni! come here a min." Motioning Addie to follow him he heads for the noble he just called over to join them snagging come cotton candy on the way. <English>

Gabrielle looks at Lyn, and relaxes slightly as she says she isn't Alliance, or at least, hints at it. Her eyes looking over at Adrian, giving him her version of snake eyes, before she looks back at the purplebelly and nods her head, "Yeah.. what is a purple underwear wearin' person doing here, not competing and not in uniform. Your a spy! I knew it!" <English>

The shootout done now, Patandy reloads her weapons and makes her way through the crowd. She's currently seeking Corin. Finding him, she smiles, holding out her gloved hand to him. "Fine shootin' there." she congradulates him. "Actually, damn fine shootin'. I'm really impressed, an' tha's a hard thing ta get from me." <English>

"M' pretty sure that no matter how fast I run, y've got a few friends who c'n run faster 'n me anyways." Casey points out, "But m' gonna make sure t' keep a nice meat shield 'round though. 'Case I get y' on a bad day." Casey notes idly over toward her, there's a cock of his head to one side and his eyes run over in the direction of McCain again, attention now fixated on Kennedy just a little more than he did before. He pulls his cigarette aside now, sucking at the back of his teeth as he studies her, thinking that she may grow a second head or something of the like. "May just need t' start takin' lessons 'r somethin' from you sometime." <English>

Trevor smiles and nods "I should nothing else better to do." he chuckles "maybe I should have entered a contest or two, but probably wouldn't have won anyway. I'm surprised no one from the dragon did." he shrugs and smiles briefly and heads with Sink in the direction he's heading. <English>

Lyn smiles at Mantissa, "yes and it was horrid. all icky." she turns to Adrian, "I was Lieutenant Grant for a while. Navy." she smiles, "I am about to become Lady Grant Mccain" she nods again and starts for Mccain. <English>

Tani disembarks from the Traveller. Tani has arrived.

You test your Dodge against a 50 difficulty. The result is successful (15).

Adrian shrugs. "Well, I was gonna fire off a few rounds for the hell of it. Holo-training gets boring after a while." He rolls his eyes at Gabbie's outburst, then smiles to Lyn. "Ahh.. a bubblehead, huh?" He grins playfully, and offers a hand. "Good to meet you again. And congratulations." <English>

Marc finally reaches the beer booth a hand brought up to his mouth to rub at his mustache. "Hmmm, You guys got any of that high-gravity Titanium reserve beer." Yes, titanium reserve so disgusting...but it'll get you drunk. "Give it to me in a big boys mug, none of this sippy cup non-sense." You can't blame a man for being thirsty. <English>

Tren arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Tren has arrived.

Ivy's doctor bag bounces against her leg as she heads away from the party. She does linger in line for a minute to pick up a free beer. Why not? It's just there for the taking, right? She glances over her shoulder trying to catch the top of Dale's head to send him another wave before she hads out. The circus is calling. <English>

Ivy heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Ivy heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Ivy has left.

Tren walks into the prairie slowly looking at all the bodies that are around her and smiles quietly walking in slowly amungst the crowd. <English>

Oh good Lord. Leutrim's got his left hand full of a beer he's hardly sipped yet, his right full of a plate of barbeque, and now some sticky little stuffed animal tossed at him by his Captain! What's he supposed to catch it with, his mouth? His dinner plate? Leutrim's gut reaction is to protect his food and dodge the incoming missle! Whew! Donut glazed stuffed animal sails harmlessly missing his beer, "Sacralidge, Captain!" he laughs, "Not in the beer!" <English>

Addie leaves her plate there, the rib bones having been denuded of the precious meat they held long ago. The beer is somethiing she does take with her, however, that sipped from while she follows. Not quite like a puppydog but almost, making it obvious that she's not comfortable while alone in crowds and she's not wanting to lose track of Loch. <English>

After chatting with the first place winner for a while, Pat mingles into the crowd. Spotting some of the folks from the Dragon, she slips up next to Sink, taking his arm in hers. "Hey there Old Man." she says. "Glad ta see ya make it." <English> Berylle nods with a singular, regal dip of her chin, "I'm fine, thank you Doc. But I love to meet people," she flashes a smile aside to the people at her table, "so I'm sure I'll be here, or somewhere in the crowd if you need me." <English>

Cody applauds all the winners, not at all surprised that she's not in the winning circle. She didn't expect to be really. Though it was interesting to see how she did. "I think I'm going to go back to the ship and double check a few things. This party is way too much fun. Congratulations, Rodney!" And Kris too, but she'll have to make sure to congratulate her later. She waves jauntily and then heads off at a slow pace towards the exit. Though in her case, she's not heading for the carnival, she's heading for home. <English>

Luke turns a bit to make way for Leutrim. "Whew. No playing with food, Gentlemen", he says. <English>

Lyn takes the offered hand and shakes it firmly before saysing to Gabriella, "He is too sexy for his purple underware and spying. Just look at him. that is why he is here to make all the ladies swoon." she winks at Adrian and leaves the small group. <English>

Amber giggles at Baltimore. "Leading by example sir? I hope your staff copy you as well?" <English>

Tani peeks out of the Traveller and wanders dwon the ramp with two ferrets wrapped around her neck, they seem sleepy but stare at those around their mistress. She looks around and comments "Well least my evil sister didn't show...but missed my chance to compete..." <English>

McCain comes down off the stage and heads over in Lyn's direction, intercepting her before she gets too far from Mantissa. He smiles and nudges her a bit closer to the woman she was just talking to, "Miss Avaria..." he says, and leans in to kiss Lyn on the cheek, "So, I suppose I should give you your prize." he says, and fishes out a Colt 1911 from his messenger bag, and a credit chit, "Don't spend it all in one place." <English>

McCain lets Lyn go as she makes for the ship. <English>

Mantissa laughs, "Mm, really? My congratulations to the both of you," she beams at Lyn. "Seems there's a few compatriots from that hell-hole around," she remarks, glancing around, noting Evalyn in particular while she gives Gabbie a comforting little squeeze before her attention turns to McCain. "McCain!" she grins widely. "It's been a while. Thank you," she dips her head. <English>

Lyn has left. Lyn boards the Traveller.

Doc smiles down at Berylle and nods, "thanks.." He walks off now into the crowd just to be watching things for his Caaptain as he's very busy just now. <English>

Sink walks with Trevor through the crowds, heading straight for the booze. "Oh, no one from the Dragon entered, true, I guess we aren't the type for competition. It would have been interesting to see Zale in there. I think he would have enjoyed it." As he moves he sees Patandy come up beside him, "Hey there, young one! Congratulations on the shooting. That's very impressive. Come on, I'm headed to the beer tents, a friend of mine is there." As Sink predicted, the beer tents is where he would find Marc, he grins at his insight and gives Trevor a knowing wink. "Marc!" He calls out a few feet away, "Let me be first to congratulate you. If they would let me I would buy you a beer." <English>

McCain pays Mantissa some money.

Tren looks around wondering if danee was sure she sould come and sighs looking around. She doesn't know anyone and this is no place for a mechanic" <English>

Kennedy mmms at Casey's suggestion, "Seems I'm second choice, yet again." She says quietly, a dark edge to her voice as her gaze is focused out on the crowds. Her eyes shift to the side, looking at Casey out of the corner of them. "If you want. Seek me out on Londinium at my factory. For lessons that is." She uses the stub of her cigarette to indicate Lochlan who's trying to garner her attention. "See. Paparatzi." But she makes no move to actually get up to meet the man beckoning. <English>

Lochlan moves next to Kennedy and nods to her and her company. "Kenni, this is Addie our new security officer I want to hire.. you got any objections?" He pauses for a bite of cotton candy.. so butch is he. <English>

Balt shakes is head at Leu's profound misunderstanding of the world of friend pastries. "Doughnuts got a thousand different relationships to beer, Leu. Could even suck the filling out of one and use it like a straw. Miss Amber's sticky hair toy there was just an instruction in that." As evidence of this he snags a doughnut with the least amount of fur stuck to it. "Trust me Miss Amber, you relieve yourself on anything 'round our office, don't even need to send a memo to tell folks not to touch it." <English>

Patandy follows along with Sink, chuckling. "Been practicin'." she announces in reference to her shooting. "Didnae win first place, but came close. Too bad, woulda liked one o' those 1911 ta replace my lightfoot." she shrugs as the arrive at the Beertent, getting her own drink and knocking it down in one go. <English>

Steering clear of the small knots of people deep in conversation, Ward takes a look-see into the 'free bbq' and loads up a plate for himself. Keeping his head low he pulls up a seat out of the way and begins to devour his haul. <English>

Cody heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Cody heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Cody has left.

Rodney heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Rodney heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Rodney has left.

Rodney arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Rodney has arrived.

Gabrielle looks at Adrian, completely missing that the term bubblehead wasn't used to describe her. She slides out from under Tissa, as she looks at Adrian, if she had feathers they'd be ruffling at she glares at him. "What did you call me?! Do you want to go toe-to-toe... right here... right now. I don't care if you are Alliance." Her green eyes look at him, twin pools of hardened jade. "I'll take you out.. it'll be easy to," she nods her head, as she adds, "You purple underwear wearin', purple blood bleedin', unkillable purplebelly." <English>

Amber's tone of voice - respectfully terrified - belongs in the tax department hot=seat as the latest audit victim. "I'll remember that sir ... err.... does that mean I can assume seats there are safe, or that I should assume they are NOT?" She sniffs at the food in Leutrim's hand and gives Luke a shy smile. "Hi. Don't think we've met?" <English>

Tren smiles and walks along the buffet and looks at all the food with a smile but doesn't eat until the rest of her group shows up. she turns seeing the tables and the mass of people and smiles taking a seat at a far table across from ward, but of course she doesn't know his name. She just sits and looks around. <English>

"Alright", Dean says to the others, "I'll take a look around then. See you later." <English>

Finally getting a good sip of his beer, Leutrim gives Baltimore a quirked brow, then glances down behind himself at the sticky little stuffed animal lying so innocently in the trodden grass, "You know I don't like donuts... " and looking back to his Captain, he adds, "Wasn't even sure what that was you were throwing at me. Food here's good. You should go get some, sir." and to Luke as well, "You look like you could use a good meal and some friends just now. Stick around, hang with us a bit." For Amber's benefit, Leutrim supplies, "Luke Earlyman, this is Amber ... eh..." Shit, he forgot her last name. <English>

Adrian sighs in annoyance. "Is she always this paranoid?" He ignores Gabbie's outburst apart from the question directed at Tissa. He subtly shifts his stance, moving one foot back, and planting it on the ground. <English>

McCain grins and turns over the pistol and the credit chit to Mantissa, "Only have one other big payout to make, and some smaller ones." and looks around, "So, I don't see anyone else from Phoenix around. I hear you've fallen on some hard times as an organization." He purses his lips, "You should have Lulu call me, maybe I can make a deal and absorb Phoenix into my company." <English>

Morgan comes back to the traveller after the announcements and a check of the security teams, he looks around for his crew <English>

The servering staff seem to have found a big enough mug for Marc and fill it with something near to sheer malty hell, pobably adding their own flavoring at the man's jackassedness. And as Sink calls out his name he jolts lightly, turning to face the man and produce a grin as he accepts his jug o beer. "Aye, Thanks old friend." Marc adds, as he steps towards the man and his band of merriment. He offers out a hand, "Maybe next round." He states, nodding to the mug freshly added to his fist. "Trevor, Miss." He adds to his former coworker and Pat. <English>

Corin arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Corin has arrived.

Addie nods hello to Kennedy once Lochlan speaks, her demeanor held in check as she regards her. "Nice to meet you." Casey is given a similar nod hello and smile but she doesn't speak, the gravel-voiced security-staff-hopeful allowing the others to talk while she listens. <English>

Amber bows to Luke and finishes the introduction. "Amber Wu. Its a short name, easily forgotten." She looks like she's judging the distance from her toe to Leutrim's ankle. <English>

Tani leans over and hears Gabby going off. She leans with head tilted, and even her ferrets perk up and start sniffing towards the woman. "Wow, HEY! I heard of you." she looks to Adrian and her "Your the one that liked to drive my sister up the wall! Ahhh, no need for fighting ya know, I mean it was a shooting contest. Not a great place, Hey maybe we need a nice unarmed tourney next week." she watches the two with a amused and clueless smile. <English>

Luke looks at Amber, forcing himself to a smile. "Curently unemployed Sentry", he says, nodding at Leutrim. Then he adds, "Yeah. Friends. Figure." <English>

Trevor smiles and follows with Sink and Patandy and nods to Marc as well "Congratulations Marc, good to see you as well." he remains quiet otherwise however. <English>

Mantissa promptly reaches out and wraps an arm around Gabbie's head - muffling the woman's mouth in particular as she pulls her back into her embrace. "Don't mind her," she smiles mischievously at Adrian while Gabbrielle continues to wriggle. "Afraid so," she tells him, before raising an eyebrow at McCain. "Really? What bird whispered that over in your ear?" she muses. "We're alright, thanks," she chuckles, "a bit of downtime in terms of public presence while we get the passenger liner ready," she beams at him. "But we're making good even just on the cargo runs," she remarks. "Mm, now... what am I gonna do with this lovely?" she turns the Colt 1911 over in her hands while she pockets the credit chit, her eyes glancing down at the /other/ 1911 she already has in her holster. "Guess I can go like Nysa and have two 1911's with me..." she muses. <English>

Patandy holds her hand out to Marc after she downs her beer. "Patandy Mars." she says in way of introduction to him. "Nice ta meet ye. Good shootin' by the by." After she shakes his hand, assuming he does, she gets herself another beer, taking this one a little slower, but not much. <English>

Adrian's eyes narrow. "And how do you know what that woman carries..." His playful tone is gone. He just went back to work. <English>

Corin Anders, the XO of the Red Angel comes walking slowly across the flat prairie and stops here and there nodding at some of the people who came out for the shoot. He knows some, is familiar with others and a few, darn it.. are complete strangers. He introduces himself to another one of the shooters and then he looks around again, looking for someone else to talk with. He starts over towards Sink, needing to ask him a few things, though some of them have nothing at all to do with shooting... <English>

A look to Baltimore, then to Luke, before Leutrim says, "Well... I -think- the Security Station is still looking to hire, Mr. Earlyman. Maybe you and the Captain here might like to have a little chat. And maybe we can help you out in turn if we can glean whatever information you wish to share about your ship. In so far as it pertains to Persephone, at least, that's what we do - investigate such things." And, noticing Amber giving him a look, Leutrim then leans over close to her and whispers something to her. <English>

You paged Amber with 'Leu says, "That look on your face was cute."'

Gabrielle lets out a few muffled insults as Tissa grabs her, before she looks at the gun, and she quiets down, extracting herself from Tissa's grip, as she does the puppy dog look Tissa. "You can give it to me.. I'll be good with it.. I promise.. and I'll make sure that it is safe." However, as Adrian's eyes narrow and he asks the question without the playful tone. She says loudly, "Ah ha! You were a spy! See... I knew it.. I knew it.. I knew it," she keeps repeating that phrase like a broken record, taunting like as she stands there, before she stops, and then looks back to Tissa, her eyes shifting a little as she says, "If you give it to me.. I'll be quiet?" <English>

"Well," Amber tells Luke "I *was* an unemployed MULE operator, now I'm supplier of doughnuts and coffee. And stuffed toys. And general irritation to those I shouldn't." Her gaze takes in his face for a second and she says "Things change." <English> Sink smiles and looks at Patandy, "Excellent. I haven't been practicing much myself. Just don't have that much time. Probably why I didn't enter myself. Well Corin has two of them now. Maybe if you're nice to him he'll give you one. I know he responds well to people sitting in his lap, even if they have armor on." He gives her a grin and a little hip check so she knows he's joking. He looks at Marc and smiles broadly and shakes the man's hand. "Well done. I saw your add on the Cortex a while ago, now I hear you've found employment with a noble house. How's that all going?" He nods in agreement with Trevor. Out of the corner of his eye he catches Corin and his smile falls a bit, and he chews the inside of his lip. <English>

With the arrival of the two new faces, Casey blinks and his eyes flick from one person to the other. The hazel eyes seem to study both Lochlan and Addie, he takes another few small puffs of his cigarette. He does another shift about, making himself comfortable on what, likely, shouldn't be sat upon in the first place. "Well. M' pretty sure I stick out like a sore thumb on Londinium." He runs his free hand across the tattooed half of his face, "But m' sure I c'n come 'round some time.." There's a moment now as he peers off to the others again. "N' they don't look much like press t' me." <English>

Tren stands and moves across the area slowly taking in all the people wishing the rest of the Jia crew would have come, she's starting to think they tricked her. She sighs softly and looks across the area, and shakes her head. <English>

Morgan takes a seat on the ramp of the traveller, watching everyone mingle and socialize. He gets comfortable and smiles, glad the event has gone well. <English>

McCain chuckles and winks to Mantissa, "It's a crap gun, but it's got character, and history, and they're fairly hard to get." he says. He winks to Mantissa, "Well, I have other prizes to deliver." he says, and nods to Gabrielle as well, "If you ladies will excuse me." he says, "I should be about my duties." <English>

Balt looks disgustedly at Leu. "Your relationship to the finer of the fried arts is well known, Leu, and frankly your prejudice to them disgusts me. Working for the alliance now, so why not make an /alliance/ between your jaw and this finest wad of ambrosia here." He wags the doughnut then takes a bite. After he swallows, he follows up on Leu's point to Luke. "Might be that we still out. Pay's good" <English>

Amber blushes slightly, and looks startled, both at the same time. An interesting conflict of expressions. <English>

Mantissa laughs at Adrian. "Crossed her path a few times on Osiris - the Leviathan was doing the same cargo run as us for a while," she explains. "Not a friendly character, though I'll never forget how she squirmed between me and Gabbie when we bought her at that auction..." her eyes roll. "Anyway, this was a while back, before she managed to hook up with the real pirates," she shrugs, "but she used to to carry a Colt 1911 on each hip," she explains, before giving McCain a little wave. "Take care - fantastic event you have here," she grins. "And nice prizes," she offers a wink of her own. <English>

Patandy chuckles at Sink, haven gotten another refil for herself, and holding a beer out to Sink. "I'll pro'lly ask him ta buy one off him after Mac actually gives it to him." she says. "An' I figured tha' since I work for GGA, I should likely know how ta /use/ th' gorram product, right?" She looks back and forth from Trevor to Marc to Sink. <English>

Mantissa wraps a hand around Gabrielle's mouth again, muffling her words as she leans in again and whispers into her ear, loud enough for those nearby to hear. "I have a ballgag in my bag. So behave, mm?" she chuckles sinisterly. <English>

Doc makes his way to one of the beer kegs and gets himself a beer and continues to meander around. <English>

Luke shakes his head. "Thanks for the offer. But that's not really my line of work. I need to be on a ship doing cargo runs. Or maybe I'll hit up the investigative agencies for a gig", he says, avoiding to express any dislike of the Alliance. "At least as long as I can afford to be picky about job offers." <English>

Security calms down a brewing incident as a group of young men get into an argument in the line near the beer kegs.

Adrian nods. "Hmph. The Leviathan was downtime.." He doesn't go beyond that, but he seems to calm down. The mention of the ball gag brings an eyebrow up. "Uh.. Most people give you wierd looks, you wander around with someone's got a ball gag stuck in their gob.." <English>

Marc nods again to Trevor as he takes Patandys hand and gives it a firms shake. "Congrats to you too, Miss Mars." lofting his mug for a clean swig as he contorts his face to the bold flavor. "Yeah, I wanted something temporary, but the money's good working for a noble." He reply's to Sink, taking another slug of beer. "I suppose I own my win to trying house security guards, So hows the Dragon Faring?" <English>

Kennedy motions idly from Casey to Lochlan and back again. "Casey. My chief of security, Lochlan." So much for being a vagabond, they hardly require security, let alone enough to warrant having a chief to oversee them. "And apparently Addie, my new security officer hopeful. Can you shoot, dear?" Kennedy asks of the girl, giving her a good little once over as she grinds out her cigarette beneath her boot heel on the ground. <English>

Tren finds another seat out of the crowd and pulls out a hologenerator and pulls the screwdriver out of her hair, it allows her black hair to fall to her shoulders, she starts to tinker with the small object it sparks at her and she smiles and continues to tinker with the small holodevice. "Come on sparks don't do this to me." she says softly to the object and with lack of anyone else to talk to she continues to just sit back and work on her small project. <English>

Gabrielle blinks as she hears Tissa say that, and twin red spots appear on her cheek as she stands there, and slowly shakes her head. She'll be good, yep. Her eyes still go to the gun, and as soon as Tissa's hand is off her mouth, says, "Please.. let me hold the gun." Green eyes centered on it. <English>

Tani looks to Mantissa as she grabs Amy and calls out as Mac walks away "No merging with the Phoniex! No way in hell I will crew with Amylynn...she's already a psycho big sister I won't have her ordering me to take shots!" she pouts "He better be joking...I can't stand being on the same planet as her." the ferrets chitter at the girl in a soothing manner but she doesn't cheer up. <English>

Luke gets a quiet nod from Amber. "Take something before you can't afford to be picky, even if its not ideal. You can always look for something better while you have a job. Being stuck dockside with 50 creds to your name and no way off-planet isn't any way to try to get hired. <English>

A young Romany comic picks his fingernails with a sword of some young guy, "When you die at the Palace.. you die at the Palace.

His only reply to Baltimore is a soft huff of breath from Leutrim. It's a little difficult to juggle a plate of delicious, sticky, messy barbeque and a beer at the same time, but somehow or another Leutrim manages to do it. Beer cup snagged into the crook of his elbow that holds the plate frees up a hand. Napkins in his pants pocket are handy too. But soon Leutrim has to excuse himself a moment to go find the trash receptical for his paper plate and find a means to better clean his hands. And of coures, get another beer. When he does come back, Leu has not one, but two beers. One dark and one light. The rich dark beer he keeps, and the light beer he hands off to Amber, "Here. Enjoy yourself." An absent nod to Luke's comment. <English>

Lochlan nods a bit. "I will have Lina run the paper work then since I got your ok.." winking he chuckles. "we are going to head back tot he pad.. and give her a bit of time to digest the two pounds of bbq then we will run her though the physical test." <English>

McCain moves away from Mantissa to where Marc is chatting with Pat and Sink. He nods politely, "Congratulations...Makes it easier when my proze winners are in a group." He winks at Patandy, "So, I'll be taking your prize off your bar tab, right?" he teases, then looks over to Marc and offers his hand, "Good shooting..." he says, then fishes another 1911 out of his messenger bag, and a couple of credit chits. He studies them for a moment to make sure he's handing them to the right person, and holds them to the right people. <English>

There is a laugh nearby, and the sound of amusement as a woman grabs a young man's hand and drags him off to the dance floor.

Addie nods. "I can shoot pretty gor...darn well, ma'am. And can only get better once I get some regular practice in." She smiles to everyone before nodding to Lochlan. "Yeah. Think I could use a good bout of sitting somewhere quiet. All that grease is getting to me." Chuckling, she pats her stomach as if to punctuate her statement. "It was nice meeting you, ma'am..." She bows her head to Kennedy and then to Casey. "...sir. Do hope to see you both again soon." <English>

Dean has disconnected.

Amber gives the beer a strange look. Beer? Amber? She holds it warily, gives Leutrim a look of his own, and then sips. Carefully. She even manages to keep her face still apart from a twitch around the eyelids at her first taste. Doesn't quite hide the slightly dry choke of her voice when she thanks him. Another cautious sip follows. <English>

Mantissa grins over at Tani's outcry. "Hey, you hear that, Gab?" she muses to her own little pet whom she's keeping quiet. "Why don't you head over and play with the nice little lady over there. You two seem to have a lot in common." She pauses and adds, "And you're /not/ getting your mitts on the gun," she states firmly. She nods over to Adrian, "Something like that, yeah. Don't worry, she's gotten weird looks for worse," she gives him an evil smile. "A ballgag never hurt anyone." <English>

The scent of good food being grilled sends a rumble through the tummies of those present.

Adrian nods, looking a little skeptical. "Ah-huh... You still haven't explained those spork traps you mentioned." <English>

There's almost a cringe now as he starts to taste the filter of his cigarette. Mumbling out, Casey pulls his cancerstick away from his mouth, dropping it down to the ground and snuffing it out with his boot heel. "Ain't no need t' watch y'r language 'round me. 'Tend t' get m'self in trouble f'r my foul mouth." He comments over to Addie, then with a small regard to Kennedy, he leans in closer to her and gives a stage whisper now, not trying too hard to keep the comment between him and the woman. "What's with people callin' me sir? M' thinkin' I need t' work on m' vagabond look." He comments, then settles back into the almost-proper seated position. He offers a wave off to the other two though as they seem to mention leaving. <English>

McCain pays Patandy some money.

Luke nods to Amber. "True. And now I finally need to get some food and drink here." He vanishes into the crows towards the food stands. <English>

Tren winces at the small hologenerator as it sparks at her. "GAH!" she turns her head then looks down moving a few of the wires and smiles seeming to be finding what's wrong with it. She smiles softly and holds the device with affection "you'll be done in a bit sweets." she says to the holodevice. <English>

Gabrielle blinks at Tissa, as she stands there, and she shakes her head, "But I don't want to go over there... and you have too of those.. can't I have one?!" She fully brings out the puppy dog eyes now, complete with trembling lower lip. <English>

At the spook house young children can be heard sceaming as a gooey skeleton pops out of a wall.

McCain pays Marc some money.

His plate empited and his fingers cleaned, Ward rises up and straightens himself out. Picking his way back into the crowd the man seems intent on getting to the place where McCain is standing. <English>

The romance between cop and doughnuts is often described but rarely so lovelingly witnessed as Balt scarfs the hunk of dough and washes it down with coffee. It takes him a moment to clear his throat of the fatty goodness as Leu hands Amber a beer. "Now Leu, ought to have us a talk about you getting strange ladies drunk-especially while you got a uniform on." <English>

Mantissa grins evilly at Adrian, flat-out ignoring Gabbie as she speaks. "Well. How about I invite you over to the White Star - and tell her you're coming and ask her to get ready, mm? Treat it as... an obstacle course," she suggests with one of her utterly devilish smile. <English>

The sound of a drum beat starts as a new band begins their set, the crowd erupting into cheer.

Corin stops closer to Sink and then nods his head. "Good to see you again Sink.. hoe you doing?" He asks. "I was going to stop by and see how Lirin was doing..?" he then says. "Don't need details.. just wondering how she is doing." He says to Sink and then he looks around. "Was quite a competition.." He says with a grin. "Quite a few good shooters out here.. be a good place to have Chase show up next time and see if the Hunter's give a good showing." He says with a nod. "Some of them are pretty good.. some can use the extra practice.." He says. He takes a drink of the bottle in his hands and then he looks around. "Haven't seen McCain for a while.. but I guess I'll find him before the end of the show.." He says. <English>

Kennedy snorts. "For fuck's sake, Lochlan, she won't even swear in front of me. I thought we going to hire hardier fare this time around." She waves a hand, in a particularly dismissive gesture. "Go, go. Bring her on as probation, but if you're hiring this pretty little thing as an attempt to make your wife jealous, I'll cut it off myself, you hear? Get her a bunk, weapon, armor, whatever she needs, but she better be worth her spit." <English>

Tilting her head, Amber's gaze probably bears a remarkable similarity to PomPom's when he's refused that roast from Baltimore's plate. "I'm strange? <English>

Berylle seems to be singing to her card playing compatriots now, and her voice occasionally drifts above the noise of the crowds. "...Some friends and I in a public house Were playing a game of chance one night When into the pub a fireman ran His face all a chalky white..." Berylle lays her hand before her, lashes brushing her cheeks and her table roars playfully with disappointment as she wins another hand. "...the bleedin' pub's on fire!" she continues to sing. <English>

Gabrielle perks up as she hears that, and she smiles devilishly, "Oh.. can you Tissa... that sound so fun." She grin heavily, as she starts to tapping her chin, "Mmm.. get some real metal spoons." She turns, and starts to walk away from Tissa, "Saw a chinaware store back there, should get ready." She wonders off if Tissa lets her, heading through the place unaccompanied. <English>

A couple of drunks can be heard arguing over who can toss a ball and knock over those three little metal bottles.

Lochlan nods a bit and chuckles "she can swear shes being fucking polite kenni.. geezus and buda have a beer.. relax.." He heads out stopping at just about every booth to get anotehr serving of everything this one though he puts into a large cake like box, and of cours two bags of cottoncany..hell three.. McCain was buying. "Don't mind the Noble.. she's a little up tight at times" grinning as he wanders out with Addie. <English>

Lochlan heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Lochlan heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Lochlan has left.

The scent of good food being grilled sends a rumble through the tummies of those present.

Patandy tests her Spot against a 75 difficulty. The result is unsuccessful (-17).

McCain glances over as Corin arrives, "Oh sure Corin, you come shoot early and miss most of the festivities...If I wasn't bound to give you the prizes you won, I'd keep them." he teases, and smirks, as he's standing nearby where Patandy, Marc, Trevor, and Sink are congregated. He fishes out two more Colts and another two credit chits from his bag, "Two Colts and five thousand credits..." and winks as he holds them over to the Red Angel's XO. <English>

Sink glances between Marc and Patandy, "Oh you two haven't met? Patandy this is Marc, he was a Dragon before he moved on to better things. Marc, this is Patandy a friend of the Dragon." He grins and nods to Patandy, "Well, ya, there would be a shame if a gun trader's employee didn't know how to fire. Still I'm a but shocked McCain hasn't given you something a bit better." He nods slowly to Marc, "Well I'm glad to hear there's some noble that has good protection. Usually those rent-a-guards aren't worth their weight in peanuts. The Dragon...", he gives a little shrug, "We are a bit under manned, but doing ok. Got an interesting contract recently. Even got something to do with religion... but we might have to hire on some gun hands to get the job done." He sips his lemonade and hears McCain's voice and turns to him and nods, being quiet as McCain hands out the rewards. Corin's arrival drops his smile some and he turns to him, letting Patandy's arm go, and he replies quietly, "She's doing alright now. I spoke to her about the subject you brought up, but I was able to keep the source of the information out of the conversation. I should return to the Manor and make sure everything continues to go well." He nods slowly then smiles, "Good shooting Corin. McCain, right here, as are a few of the other winners." He looks at the group and gives everyone a nod, "I might just have to take my leave, sorry for having to leave so quickly." <English>

Addie looks at Kennedy and smiles sweetly. "Just you wait. I can swear just fine when I'm not trying for a job." She winks before drifting off, following Lochlan to parts unknown. <English>

McCain pays Corin some money.

Sipping his own dark beer, Leutrim eyes Amber and then laughs, "You don't have to drink it if you don't like it, lass." But, Baltimore's playful chiding and Leu glances to his Captain with a chuckle, "On duty? Am I getting paid to be here today, sir?" Leutrim rather likes that idea, "I never get bashed drinking, no worries." Ah, but Amber? Well, a smile and the young officer watches her, "If she stays away from the hard stuff, she'll be fine, sir." and off hand he adds, "Can always see you get back to the shuttles all right, Miss Wu." <English>

Doc sips his beer and finds a spot on a large crate where he can keep an eye on his crewmates...he can see the ship from his vantage point and can also see Berylle at her table and others he's familiar with. <English>

A man walks into a portable rest room. A minute later a crane lifts the restroom leaving the man exposed to what he's is doing.

Patandy makes a face a McCain at the beer-tab remark, pocketing her credits. She gives a smile to Marc as he is introduced. "Nice ta meet ye. Friend o' Sink's is pretty high in my esteem." she says, then looks over at Sink again. "I've got an HK an' a Super-V when I need one. Got plenty o' firepower, however..." she moves over to Corin after Mac pays him and hands him weapons. "How much ye want for one o' those?" She motions to the 1911s. <English>

Addie heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Addie heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Addie has left.

Adrian blinks. "You say that like it'd actually be one, though.." <English>

Marc smiles at McCain as the event holder moves over to the group, "McCain." Marc nods, accepting his prize money and pistol. "Hell of a event." Marc does furrows his brow as lirin is brought up, finding it odd that the woman wasn't here with Sink. But he puts it to the back of his mind. "Religions a touchy subject these days, You get into any heavy shit don't be afraid to give me a wave, Sink." Marc adds, diverting his attention to Patandy to nod to the woman again. <English>

Mantissa reachs out to quickly nab Gabbie by the collar and reel her back in with a little grin. "If she's making sporks out of /metal/ spoons I'd suggest wearing armour," is all she says to Adrian. <English>

Scratching at his cheek now, Casey places his hand at the side of his neck and he clucks his tongue again. Watching both Lochlan and Addie make their leave.. He starts to run his fingers through his hair, pulling it back into a lazy pony tail. Though with nothing to secure them in place, the strands just fall back down to where most of them were before. "So. Got somethin' I need t' be worryin' 'bout if'n y've got security runnin' 'round?" <English>

End of OOC Note -----------------------------------

"So far," Amber notes "In the last month I have found out what wine tastes like, and now beer. Both, I would have to say, are more pleasant than my only other experience with alchohol. Something called 'hellfire' from Santo." She sips again "Not that I'd say to to any escort to the shuttle." <English>

Adrian cocks a brow again. "You're serious, aren't you.." <English>

Mantissa nods, "Utterly." <English>

Tren stands and pockets the small device she has and reacches up behind her head pulling her hair back and putting it up holding it down with a screwdriver. That she puts through it. She smiles and starts to walk around, meeting people can't be so bad, she just needs to be brave so she starts to walk amungst the people past McCain and his group past Doc and just keeps walking around, she feels out of place but hopes the rest of her crew would just show up. <English>

Trevor listens and smiles and nods and blinks he'd not heard nothing about Lirin lately but doesn't ask questions here, and well he behaves otherwise too, as wll it's probably best he does apparently.... <English>

A gypsie fortune teller smiles at a young man, "Son..you're screwed." The young man grins mistaking her words.

Gabrielle meeps as she gets yanked by her collar, and she frowns faintly. She grins however, as she makes a reach for the gun, it'll at least shut her up for a moment. She says as she goes for it, "Naw... not metal.. was thinking something nastier.. maybe a few punji traps. I saw on some vid about earth-that-was about some really nasty ones invented by the V.. v," she frowns, trying to remember the name, "Oh yeah.. it was the Vietcong." <English>

Adrian says in English, "Yeah, but their favorite trick would annoy everyone on the boat; they liked to add fertilizer to promote infections."

Balt shrugs to Leu. "Apparently by your shooting Leu, you ain't getting paid to be here." He swallows some more coffee-a hot drink on an already warm day. At Amber's explanation of her recent culinary experiences, Balt cocks an eyebrow. "You mind if I ask where you was before this, Miss Amber, that seems to have kept you from everything save river water and green tea?" <English>

A ventriloquist holds one of his puppets and pleases a small crowd. The blueish puppet says, "Jeff fafaaaa Durnhim....dot com."

Lyn disembarks from the Traveller. Lyn has arrived.

Hearing Baltimore's comment, Leutrim chokes on his beer he was sipping just then. He's much too busy coughing to make a reply. <English>

Luke has disconnected.

Morgan gets up off the Traveller's ramp, and goes to do another check on the security, talking into his comm while he moves off <English>

A soft laugh at Baltimore. "That's about right. Orphanage and foster care, wasting stuff you paid for on a kid? Didn't happen, and then - Uncle Mike didn't hold with alchohol." Amber says "'Too many bad things came out of a bottle that you can't put back.' to quote him." <English>

A make shift dancefloor has been set up and dancers perform a jig to the lively music.

Ward has disconnected.

Tani sighs as she gets ignored and sulks off and watches McCain "So Captain...how the event go? Looks like it was aloto fun." she seems disapointed she missed it and the ferrets strech out trying to home in on the food being served nearby. "Boys...I'll feed ya in a sec." <English>

Corin nods to McCain and he takes his prizes and he says. "Thanks McCain.. was a fun time.. sorry that I had to leave after shooting, wanted to go back to the Heart and check in on Liz.. since she due any time now." He explains. "But I got back as quick as I could." he looks back over at Sink and he says quietly. "I am glad that things are going well.. she's a great lady.. and we all worry about her.. I'm glad that she has you." He says and then he nods. "When you see her, let her know that we are glad that she is doing well." He adds. "I'll be back at the house later on, I had some things to take care of off Paquin.. but I think I have it all taken care of now." He looks around at the other people who are there and he nods to them. "Sorry that I am a little out of it.. it was just a long couple day for me.. I had actually almost forgot about the shoot altogether.." he says with a bit of a lopsided smile. <English>

Mantissa snatches the gun away away from Gabbie's prying hands, slapping her on the wrist. "Be a good girl now Puss..." she wiggles a finger at her. "That's only a problem if you're not the only person of the ship being subjected to the obstacle course while we all sit outside and watch you through cameras via the Cortex." Suddenly, she beams, grinning down at Gabbie, "Hey, we could make TV out of it! But Alliance folks through gruelling traps of your design," she pokes her. "In the name of sport and entertainment! Reality TV needs more punji traps," she nods her head seriously. <English>

Adrian smirks. "I'll pass on getting my foot impaled, thanks. Unless you're offering free replacements. But 5'll getcha 10 I could move through without getting hurt." <English>

A couple of drunks can be heard arguing over who can toss a ball and knock over those three little metal bottles.

Kennedy leans forward in a gesture of conspiracy, as if she might impart a secret to Casey. "Might you should just keep your hands where they can be seen." Each word is pronounced painfully articulate, tinged with a Core world upbringing and a penchant for punching every 't' and rounding out her vowels. A wink is afforded then, quick, before she lifts the flask to her lips and takes another sip. Drink, drink, pass: and so she offers it back to the man at her side. <English>

Gabrielle owies as she gets poked. She frowns at Mantissa, as she whines, "Pleaaaaaase Tissa. I promise.. I'll be quiet and everything... I just want to see the gun!" She looks almost innocently, if not for the sidelong grin at Adrian, and she says with a smile, "Thanks for the idea. I had forgotten about that part.. and that gives me so many more ideas... maybe not for pain, but humilation can be just as fun." She winks saucily, before her eyes go back to Tissa, "Please let me see the gun? You said you see about letting me have another one... I promise I won't point this one at anybody and say bang." <English>

Patandy makes an Oooh sound. "Are you expecting?" she says to Corin. "How excitin'! Boy or girl?" She seems genuinely interested, her ignored question about if the gun is for sale ignored at the moment. She'll probably get back to it. <English>

Doc hops down off his perch and heads for the Traveller, once there he enters it. <English>

Balt's been waiting to make Leu choke all day. "No worries, Leu. Sure we is just lulling the criminal underbelly into a false sense of ease. Soon they be wandering the streets wearing black masks and lugging satchels marked with dollar signs." Balt listens to Amber thoughtfully, while equally thoughtfully swishes his coffee around in it's cup. "You come fresh from fostercare, Miss Amber? Looked more put together for you to be that young." He squints and corrects himself, "not that the whole lot of you lot of you don't look young to me. Both you and Leu ought to be in knee socks and short pants according to my eye." <English>

Mantissa raises an eyebrow, "I also remember mentioning that we'll go over it once we get /back to the ship/," she tells Gabbie in an irritated tone. "You'll have to do any bets with her," she grins bemusedly at Adrian, gesturing at Gabbie. "She's the engineer..." <English>

Holliday has left. Holliday boards the Traveller.

Corin looks over at Patandy and smiles. "One of each actually." he says to her. "Liz has been spending most of her time.. and a staggering ammount of money buying things for the nursery and is doing it times four.. since we are having twins and we are setting up on the Angel and at our home on Newhall." He says. "But, it's a mother's thing to do stuff like that and I am letting her do it.. even if I cringe at the sot from time to time.. but hey.. it's just money.." He grins. <English>

An escape artist slips his way out of a set of thumb cuffs.

Leutrim manages to clear his airway and give Baltimore a look, "That was cold, Captain." But also good humored, Leu smiles and then notices that some of his beer got spilled, alas. Thankfully not on himself, though. He listens to Amber, but then Leu sees the sticky little stuffed animal pushed into the grass. He bends down and picks it up, slipping into a pocket. Might come in handy, later. Balt's ... eh, descrption of first Amber on how she's put together (which Leu had noticed already) and then Balt's description of how young they both are compared to the Captain, gets a laugh out of Leutrim, "Before you go making diaper comments, old man, who shot better than whom today?" <English>

The two ferrets scamper down Tani's side bolt to the tables the food is being served at watching the meats in particular. Chittering the albino takes to one side of the table and the striped to the other side. Perching on hind legs they wait for the perfect time to strike. <English>

Patandy chuckles slightly. "Aye, jus' money. But ye jus' won a whole bunch, so it's less o' an issue I'd 'magine, least for now." She rubs her palms together. "Twins... how shiny!" She hold out her hand. "Pat Mars, by th' by, dinnae know if'n I actually introduced myself yet." All this is to Corin. <English>

Amber smiles, wryly. "Orphaned, various fosterings, then the orphanage did one of those 'orphan train' things to offload any of us that were trouble when the new Governer was appointed, selling us off to anyone willing to fill out the papers. I got adopted by Uncle Mike who was looking for a hand aboard ship. Thats mostly where I grew up." <English>

Marc has disconnected.

A woman stands near one of the food booths, doing her best to clean chocolate ice cream from her two sons. Lyn approaches McCain and slips her hand against the small of his back and is not surprised. "twins? must be something in the water as Kate and Doc are having twins. only I think there are boys. not sure actually. Congratulations on taking the prises." <English>

Corin smiles and nods to Lyn. "I had heard something about that.." He says. "I'm not sure about the water.. that many cases.. might have to be something in the air." He grins. "Thanks.. shooting was a hobby of mine for a long time.. even before the war and everything." he explains. "I'm good at it.. and McCain can afford to pay me for being -really- good at it." He says with a playful grin. <English>

As a lookout watches for them a bunch of teens write graffiti on a bare wall (This puds for you).

There's another moment or two from the tattooed man. Hazel eyes look sidelong to the rest of the crowd, trying to be sure that no one else is watching them. Both hands come up and he pats them against his shoulders, making sure that, obviously, they're in plain view as suggested.. Then Casey can't hold back his grin much longer after that. With a wink returned back to her, he takes the flask softly from her, sipping at it and giving a grimace, hissing a breath now. "M' gonna be sure that if'n a fight 'r somethin' pops up, that 'll just hide behind you n' take shots at th' limpin' folk." <English>

Tren heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Tren heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Tren has left.

Balt watches Leu stuff the toy in his pocket, wary. "Know that kid sitting in the back of the classroom, and when the teachers calls on him he gives an answer /everyone/ knows is wrong? That's how I shot today, Leu. Art of deception's an important one wherever you go." He breaths on his fingernails and polishes them on his chest, before returning to Amber. "So it was straight from Uncle Mike to Uncle Winchester, then?" <English>

Patandy slips her hands into her jacket pockets. "Speakin' o' prizes, plural." she beings, speaking still to Corin after giving Lyn a smile in greeting. "Was kinda wonderin' if'n I could buy one of those 1911's off ye, Mr. Corin. Kinda always wanted one, jus' ta have, and well... now ye've got two." <English>

Sink smiles as Patandy gets straight to business, and then nods to Marc, "This one is so odd, I'm giving it the operational name 'Bullets for Buddha'. When the bullets are coming I'll give you a call and we'll give 'em hell together, like old times." He takes another step back from the group and nods to Corin speaking quietly, "I'm sure Lirin will recover from it. Might take a bit more then ginger chicken noodle soup, but with careful care, she'll be back on her feet." He nods in greeting to Tani, giving her a smile, and raises his stetson in regreeting to Lyn. "I sorry everyone I must be heading out now. It's been a very good time and hope to see you all soon. Godspeed everyone." With that he turns and walks away from the party, the tired steps return slowly, the further he gets from the party. <English>

McCain grins faintly, and slides an arm around Lyn as she approaches and leans over to kiss Lyn on the cheek. He purses his lips and considers, "I need to find Lady Sinclair, and Rodney, and I'm fairly certain I haven't seen General Fawzy since he shot." He hrms and casts his gaze over the crowd, "I just saw Kennedy a little while ago." <English>

'Uncle' gets Baltimore a sardonic look. "Apparently so" agrees Amber. "Either that, or part time at the docs, or finding another Mrs Hamley to scrub floors for. Which would you have picked?" <English>

Gabrielle nods her head slowly to Tissa, and pouts, but she falls silent, deciding to just snuggles into Tissa at this point. <English>

Kennedy hitches her thumbs into her suspenders, stretching them to the extent of their elastic before relaxing them again. "Why I dare say that's sweetest thing anyone has ever uttered to me, Mister Casey." All said completely straight faced, and once more using the title of Mister, if only push the man's buttons a bit. Its what she takes joy in, afterall. The little things in life, like being a general annoyance. A girl has to have a hobby. <English>

Corin looks over at Patandy again and he nods. "Sure.. I got another one at the house." He says. "How much ya offering for one of them?" He asks. "I know that they are kinda hard to find.. but not looking to rob anyone either." He says to her and then he hefts one of the 1911's and looks it over. "Seems like they are both brand new.. so.. either one should be a good buy for ya." He says. <English>

Ooohs and aahhs can be heard from the crowd at one of several shooting ranges as a competitor hits the bullseye.

A woman screams as the albino ferret slinks up and snatches a piece of bbq from her plate and jumps to the ground. The side scampering rodent moves under the table and weaves in and out of the furniture. While the striped grabbed his own meal of batter dipped and fried chunk of meat. He braves it and starts running past peoples ankles. They both beeline to Tani... <English>

Tren arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Tren has arrived.

Adrian smirks, and looks over to Gabbie. "Well, then?" <English>

Oh goodness. Another few coughs, this time a fist over his mouth. Then Leutrim finally gets another sip of his beer before he nods to Baltimore, "I see." Perhaps if he still wants to keep his job, he'd best just shut up now and smile. So Leu does, grinning. But, someone screams over near to the food tables and Leutrim turns his head to see if he can tell what is going on over there. <English>

A trained eagle swoops down on a crowd of onlookers and steals a man's toupe..much to his embarrissment as the crowd laughs and the bird flies off with the man's hair.

Patandy hmms slightly, scratching her chin a little at the mention of price. Hearing the scream though, she gets distracted for a moment, looking over at the rodent-like creatures making a bee-line for Tani. "Oh, hey there girlfriend." she says with a grin. "I'm thinkin' ye're 'bout to have furry things hidden behind ye." she turns back to Corin. "I dinnae know. 200?" she says. <English>

McCain smiles and nods to Tani, and waves over to her, and nods to Sink, "Remember, if there's anything I Can do Sink. Let me know..." he says, "Clear skies." He smiles to Lyn, then looks back to Tani, "Are you keeping control of your rodents?" he asks, looking off toward the shriek. <English>

Berylle eventually parts ways from the table as the card game ends, rising with a rustle of silk and a smile. She makes her farewells and begins to meander through the crowd. <English>

Balt takes a moment to weight the options presented to him by Amber. "Miss, you are talking to a man who on a weekly basis has to dig through another fella's trash. Scrubbing floors tends to be my lot." At the scream Balt follows Leu's gaze, then looks to the guards-interested to see if they'll react. <English>

Sink heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Sink heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Sink has left.

Mantissa chuckles at Adrian, snuggling Gabbie close, "Well, I think all this reservation of trying to be quiet around an Alliance officer is tiring her out," she winks. "We probably ought to be off to see more of the fair before we head back to the ship," she remarks, "though do feel free to get in touch," she winks, momentarily distracted by the shriek. "Nice sun-glasses by the way - they do anything?" <English>

Tren smiles and makes her way to the carnival rides and starts to look at them seriously. She's not so much interested in the ride itself as the machine. She turns back to the group at the Tables eatting and makes her way across to the buffet and eyes it but does not partake, she makes her way to the beer and looks at the kegs. "One would think Whiskey would be a better drink of choice." she says outloud to no one in particular. <English>

Tani watches the ferrets and shakes her head "I so...am taking away your snackies for this." she looks to McCain "Hey, yeah I'll make sure they behave when I catch um..." the two moves behind the girls legs and start to eat their illgotten goods "Bad Genghis...Bad Mister Snuggy... Swear if you didn't have kill counts higher than most the crew I'd so bop your noses." the ferrets chitter saddly but resume their meal, as people stare at the girl. Tani looks over "What? You expect them to steal a ice cream cone or something? Nothing to see here." <English>

Adrian nods. "Yeah; they keep my eyes from getting roasted." He grins, remaining quiet about that. "Tough to see through the darker blue though. Green's a bit easier. Human eye actually sees green better'n any other color, yanno." <English>

Gabrielle ignores Adrian, as she contineus to snug against Tissa, yawning, the woman too tired to be bothered with the Alliace Officer. <English>

Ah. The man who is frequently the life of the party is currently sitting quietly in a bit of shade, and working at changing a bandage on his side, t-shirt pulled up, and ancient Independent duster pulled back. Nevermind the crowd. Rodney's eyes are focused on his injury, and a roll of medical tape, lips pursed in concentration. He can shoot, and fly, and trade...but bandage wrappin' ain't never been the Captain of the Sulchar Baobh's strong suit. <English>

Mantissa grins, "Well, you take care," she waves to Adrian, starting to head off as her fingers run through the tired little cutie's hair, stroking her like a kitten who fell asleep in her lap. <English>

Corin nods. "Sure.. 200 sounds good." He says and then takes out one of the 1911's and he opens the slide back, ensuring that the weapon is empty and then he turns it about and he offers her the weapon handle first. "Here ya go." He says and then lets her have the pistol. <English>

Distant angry shouts soon turn to laughter.

Patandy takes the pistol, hefting the weight of it in her hands and smiling. "Shiny." she says. Stuffing the weapon into the front of her belt, she takes out a couple of credit chips and hands them to him. "Here ye go." <English>

Patandy pays Corin some money.

Tren heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Tren heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Tren has left.

McCain looks around and sees Rodney, and excuses himself, pulling away from Lyn with a parting kiss, "Take care, more prizes to deliver." he says, and shakes his head, "You know, the last Colt I sold, went for two thousand." and smiles as he steps away, heading toward Rodney, and closing with the man, offers his hand, "Congratulations." he says, and offers the man a credit chit, "Your prize." <English>

McCain pays Rodney some money.

A fancy dandy gunslinger attempts to draw, twirl and reholster his pistol..only to drop it to the ground. The crowd laughs.

Handing the flask back over to Kennedy now, Casey seems to pull out a second cigarette, toying with it slightly in his fingers. He peers over in her direction, tapping the filter-end against his thigh now. He can't help but get a grin as he hears that title seeming to stick with this woman. A dramatic sigh is given and he hangs his head, looking rather defeated. Then finally, he looks back up to her. "N' I try t' be sweet 't times. T' offset all th' tattoos, y'know." <English>

Gabrielle mms softly as she walks with Tissa, almost letting out a soft purr as she nuzzles into you, and she walks, before she murmers softly, "Going to the ship?" <English>

Amber pats Baltimore's arm. "not trash" she says "so-far-unclaimed recyclable consumables." She looks from him to Leutrim "So if I'm late drinking, when did you start?" <English>

Corin nods to her and then he says. "Glad that I could be of help." he says and then he looks over at Sink and then McCain and he nods. "Yeah.. I paid something like that for the one that I have at home.. and the same for the one that I bought for Liz.. but I have no need for 3 of them." he says and then he grins. "It's just that I won.. my good side is showing." <English>

Mantissa nods to Gabbie, pecking the girl on the top of her head, "Might as well," she smiles. "Unless you're eager to hang around a bit longer?" she muses, speaking with a soft murmur herself as the two of them head slowly towards the exit. <English>

Well, nobody's cutting or shooting each other up, so Leutrim finishes off his second beer, "Much as I would love to stay for hours and get sotted, it's not really my style. Guess I should get on back to Persephone sooner or later, unless one of you have a good reason to wish to entertain me or something." And then, eyeing Baltimore, Leutrim adds, "You know, like if you break out into singing or.." and looking to Amber, "Pole dancing or something, I might have to stay for that." Amber's question though and Leu pauses, "Start? There's no drinking age on Verbena. Everyone in my father's house was weaned on scotch, ma'am." And a wink. <English>

Looking up from his awkward task, Rodney smiles at McCain, palms the chip, and offers the weapons dealer a hand. "It was quite a competition. Not my best day...but, considerin' the competition, can't say that I'm ashamed." Thick scotch accent meshes with a bit of a drawl, somehow. "Quite an event. Suspect it'll be good for business, in the end." Excellent advertisement, clearly. <English>

People cheer at a mud wrestling contest as one contestant holds up another contestants bikini top.

Gabrielle shakes her head to Tissa, as she says softly, "Mmm.. no.. I've had enough of the Alliance for one day." <English>

Kennedy grasps the flask, but just lets it dangle from her fingers idly as she regards him. A finger reaches out from her free hand, flicking a piece of his hair from in front of his eyes, if he doesn't shy away. The move, if only to get a better look at the black ink on his face. "Yes well. The tats suit you though, don't they?" The hand falls away, only to be presented to him with palm side towards the sky and fingers curling in in a 'gimme' motion, clearly for his cigarette, and clearly expecting to get it. <English>

Slipping her hands back into her jacket pockets, Pat responds with, "Well, if'n ye want more, I can pay ye more. I dinnae wanna cheat ye outta nothin'." she says. Glancing back over at Tani and the ferrets she chcukles and shakes her head. <English>

Balt sighs as Amber's redefinition. "Right. And the puppy 'so-far-unclaimed recyclable consumabled' my chair." Balt makes air quotes, then points at Leu with his thumb as he mutters to Amber. "Fetal alcohol Syndrome. Suppose that explains a great deal. . ." Straightening back up, he dusts off his coat. "Well Leu, probably out to follow you to the shuttles before I start to pole dancing myself. Or keep running my mouth and you have to pop me." <English>

Berylle approaches McCain and Rodney, pausing a few paces from them, "Captain McCain." She smiles that smile of hers, powerful and enigmatic, and it includes Rodney, "I'd like to thank you for all of this. It was entertaining." <English>

A ride breaks down much to the chagrin of the operator. The passengers and those waiting in line complain loudly. Amber blinks at Leutrim, thougthfully. "I've never tried pole dancing. Do you give lessons?" She turns and marks a 'score 1' in the air "yes, time to head out before the shuttles are full of druks." <English>

Lyn smiles, "you both did very well at the shooting. It was a pleasure to watch. I am happy for you and your Lady with having babies I am envious." she looks around and watches McCain walk off. "I am very pleased with hthe turn out today. He has worked very hard on this." <English>

Tani has left. Tani boards the Traveller.

Security gaurds respond to a fight near a stage where the band is performing.

Leutrim laughs at his Captain, "I wouldn't pop you for anything you said, sir. That'd be insubordination or something. Don't need to find myself locked up in one of your holding cells and getting hosed. That water's cold." Poor Lexirna. But, Amber's comment about pole dancing lessons and Leutrim waggles his brows at her, "Might if it was a private lesson." But alas, with a glance to Baltimore, Leu adds, "Speaking of getting popped in the mouth. Maybe we should give our thanks to our host and then head on out, sir." The last is said soberly enough. <English>

At the Hammer ride the passengers can be heard screaming as the ride speeds up and the cages they are in spin along with the circular motion of the ride.

McCain grins and nods to Rodney, "It's really not about the business, I just wanted to put something on that everyone could have some fun with. In that it appears that I've been successful, so that's all that matters." He nods to the man, "If you'll excuse me, I need to go find Kennedy and deliver the last prize..." He pauses, "Kris was here to shoot and then never made it to the party...I wish I could do anything about it, but she's going to forfeit her prize to charity...If you like, she could contact me and let me know of a charity she'd like the money to go to." <English>

Balt takes a minute to look at Leu's legs. "They got poles in the shuttles, Miss amber. Leu can give you a lesson there. Built like a dancer, he is." Then leaning over to Amber. "Got sexual harassment laws on the books. You press charges, I'm willing to testify." But Leu's right about thanking the hosts, and Balt looks around for the location of said hosts. <English>

Mantissa snugs Gabbie close to herself as she drags the quiet woman, wrapper around herself, towards the exit, whispering something into her ear. The top of her rifle bobs over the tops of most peoples' heads as they head off. <English>

There's the smallest flinch as she plays with his hair a bit, peering over toward that hand.. But he tucks his hair behind his ear, making sure that the tattooed half of his face is again shown off a little more prominently. "Like t' think that th' tattoos suit me.. Else I got m'self int' somethin' I shoulda thought through, mm?" Casey replies to her, then looking down to the hand again.. He gives off another dramatic sigh, placing his cigarette in her hand and getting another out for himself. With a quick motion, his lighter comes to light, "Smokin' out th' rest 'f m' pack here.. Gonna be owin' me then, just so y' know there." <English>

From the very top of the ferris wheel several water ballons are tossed into the crowd by pranksters.

Amber, too, looks around, but since she doesn't know the host, she's not much use spoting him and instead gives the others a wave. "Catch you at the shuttles, or wherever." <English>

Amber heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Amber heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Amber has left.

"The built-in advertisin' oppurtunites for your company ain't exactly hurtin' the bottom line, either." A smirk from the gray-haired Scotsman, and he nods. "I'll see if she has somethin' in mind. Somethin' to help orphans of pirate viokence or somethin', I'm sure." There is a snort, and Rodney offers the man a wave of farewell, since he was on his way to find Kenni. Berylle's smile is returned, and she receives a tilted head. "I'm thinkin' that you weren't a competitor." And then he's taking a moment to finish re-wrapping the wound that managed to pop a stitch. <English>

A child shrieks happily as the ride swings around a tight turn, it's lights flashing garishly.

Corin looks around once again and he nods to everyone. "Ok.. well." He offers a wide smile. "It's been a great day.. and I think I should get headed back to Liz.. make sure that she is ok." He says and then he turns and he starts off across the field again and he waves to a few people as he passes. He stops and he puts a hand on McCain's shoulder. "Very nice job McCain.. was a great event... everyone had fun.." He nods and then starts off towards the landing pads and the Spectral Heart. <English>

A polite nod as Amber drifts away, leaving the two police officers standing and holding their drinks. Leutrim tsks at Baltimore, "Captain, come now... not -that- kind of pole, geesh. We come self equipped." And then a gesture, "McCain's over there, speaking with someone." And rather than bothering to say 'Let's go' or suchlike, Leutrim finds a trashbin to toss his empty cup into, then starts making his way leisurely through the crowd where their host is over by some fellow who's been changing his bandage. <English>

Berylle's nod is just a little dip of her chin and lashes, her smile showing an appropriately measure of amusement, "And you would be right," she tells Rodney. "I'd be lucky not to shoot myself in the foot," she admits with a huffed laugh. <English>

Morgan returns from checking on the patrols, and walks over to the traveller's ramp looking over the remaining crew at the event. <English>

A celtic group plays dance music just on the outskirts of the food area.

McCain smiles to Corin, "Congratulations again Corin." he says, and waves before turning to make his way through the crowd, looking for Kennedy. He pauses at one of the security teams and speaks to them for a moment, waits, then moves off in Kennedy's direction directly. <English>

Patandy gives a wave to Corin as he retreats, not havig responded to her offer of more money. "Have a good evenin'." she says. "Nice ta get out-shot by ye." Hands in her jacket pocket, Pat looks around the crowd for her next victim....er... person to chat with. <English>

"Going to try and leave the details of how you operate your pole out of my conversations from here on out." Finally spotting McCain, Balt follows Leu over. He stops a few paces away, waiting for a break in the conversation. In the mean time he finishes off the last of his coffee. <English>

McCain passes by Berylle and comments, "I'll have Doc set up time for you to get some shooting lessons." he says, and winks, "We have plenty of weapons, and even more free time. <English>

Kennedy rolls the cigarette from her palm to her fingertips, "Oh of that I'm quite aware, Mister Casey." She smiles, the expression a touch triumphant as the new cigarette is poised between her lips. "Have you been to the shop out on Persephone? I need some ink done, but I'm hesitant to use a place that wasn't referred." She leans forward, once more having the man light her cigarette for her. Its something a 'mister' should do, afterall. "Ah. McCain." She spies him as he heads in her general direction, "You'll be so kind as to give my winnings to this gentlemen here, hmm? I owe him a debt." Her head hitches to indicate Casey. <English>

A young couple walk past, hand in hand laughing and sharing an ice cream cone.

Hearing Baltimore, Leutrim laughs but says nothing. He finds himself coming up to where Rodney is wrapping his wound, and Berylle is, but ... McCain has slipped away into the crowd looking for Kennedy before Leutrim and Baltimore could catch up. "Hey you two. Did you see where Mr. McCain went?" <English>

Rodney

Prematurely silver-grey hair tops the six foot, two inch figure. It is worn shaggy, with the man's locks falling just past his collar, and a bit over his ears. Not styled, it is left looking fairly natural, often falling over his forehead, and curling up on the sides, and the back. A trim could be in order. His skin is tan, with a face that is all angles and flat-planes. Obviously having seen a hard life, there a number of small dings, and scars present, with a strip of pink, smooth flesh stretching down his cheek from below his eye to his neck. This scar burns a zig-zag through the close-cropped grey-blonde beard that the fellow wears. A proud nose, and full, but often pinched lips, complete this visage. His build is athletic, as he appears to be in fair shape, and built quite sturdily, with wide shoulders, and a slightly thick frame. A battered dark brown Stetson is perched atop the man's head, a cord in place to keep it secured, should he wish to take it off, and let it hang on his back. His torso is clad in a tight, powder blue t-shirt, displaying a body that is extremely fit. Plastered across the chest in bright letters, it says Mustache Rides:1 Dollar. Clearly a novelty shirt, though the man -does- have a large mustache to match his beard. His pants are old, but comfortable looking jeans, faded blue and patched in a knee. Around his waist, a well-oiled gunbelt carries a low-slung holster, with a Peacemaker strapped to his right thigh. A large number of loops are stitched into the belt, and each holds a shell for the sidearm.

Berylle

Tall and powerful in the way a dancer is - long limbs sinewy, carriage graceful. Long heavy hair shrouds her, thick blunt bangs topping the face; smoldering embers of swaying auburn that set off her large, liquid brown eyes. Her features are delicate, little upturned nose almost making her cute. Regal in a cross of confidence and demureness, a languid sinuous creature. There's a sense of a smooth sensuality, a subtle power of gesture and tone. Her smile is easy and enigmatic.

Dressed in elegant folds of artful silks, emerald green, darker for its layers. A flowing sleek thing that binds her shoulders in little cuffs of beaded brocade, yet leaves a hint of bare skin above. Her waist is cinched with a similar brocade, snugly. Draped to fasten with a jeweled ornate clasp at her waist, her skirt hangs with the sensual weight of silk, parted to one side, allowing a glimpse of ankles and slippers. There are rings on all of her fingers, sometimes one at each knuckle.

Rodney just looked at you.

And McCain indeed disappeared from where Balt was sure he last saw him. He looks around, then takes a moment to dump his coffee cup in a nearby trashcan. He retruns just in time for Leu's question to the pair of strangers. <English>

Berylle turns her smile towards the newcomers, gesturing with a delicate turn of wrist, "That way I think," she tells Leutrim. "You literally just missed him," she apologizes with an easy, lush smile. <English>

A woman stands near one of the food booths, doing her best to clean chocolate ice cream from her two sons.

A furrowing of his brow, and Rodney acknowledges Leutrium's question with a jerk of his thumb in the direction that McCain meandered in..."He said somethin' bout finding Kennedy. And, 'less he's lookin' for a real dark-skinned fellow in a nursing home, I think he's searchin' out that former pirate noble business woman person." Stringing those titles together is tiring, and all he can manage for Berylle is..."Well. There are worse parts to shot yourself in...feet are fairly disgusting. If you gotta lose on...eh. A block of wood'll do just fine." Deadly serious until the end, when she gets a grin and a wink. He unrolls his novetly t-shirt, readjusts his coat, and resits his pulse rifle on his shoulder. All bandaged up. <English>

McCain quirks a brow at Kennedy, "You owe him two thousand credits?" he says, and shrugs, passing over two credit chits to the designated recipient. He purses his lips, and shrugs, looking Kennedy over, "Good shooting thought Lady Sinclair...Tell Salin to contact me as to what charity he'd prefer to have his prize money donated to." and grins. <English>

Leutrim had hardly looked at the two he had come up to ask after McCain, whom he coud swear was just over here a minute ago. But then he is distracted by looking at these two people. One, an injured man with a good deal of character about his person that catches Leu's interest right off, then ... well, for just a moment he can't help but stare at Berylle. Like he'd never seen anyone like her before. Sappy backwoods lad. But then, Leutrim blinks as the woman speaks to him and he nods, "Eh, thank you kindly, ma'am." and to Rodney, "Sir. <English>

Leutrim(#4278PXACF)

This man is slightly above average in height at about 6'2". Lean but fit from an active outdoor lifestyle, his fair skin is sun tanned and his face clean shaven. Leu's hair is black and long enough on top to feather by finger combing but cropped short and neat around the sides and back. Pale grey eyes watch his world warily or with humor, depending on his mood.

Leu is wearing a charcoal grey Underarmor T-shirt with black flak vest. Beneath this are charcoal grey cargo-pocket pants with black leather & Gortex combat boots. A black webbed combat belt with sidearms, and various other things including ammo clip holders and iComm holder are also on his belt. A patch with a gold Police Officer shield with 'Alliance Legal' lettered above it is sewn to the left breast of the vest. Underneath this is a bar patch that says 'Donnchadh'. There isn't so much as a purple thread to be seen anywhere on his person.

McCain pays Casey some money.

Lyn stands back at the area near the Traveller. She watches the gathering and smiles pleasantly to those she makes eye contact with and nods. then as people begins to slowly make their wy back to their respective lives she begins to look around for those she knows. <English>

Morgan nods to Lyn as she stands near the Trav, "Hey Lyn" <English>

Berylle is surprised into a laugh, cocking her head to look aside at Rodney. "I hadn't really thought /literally/ about the act." She turns her smile again to Leutrim, and it's a bit Mona Lisa with a handgun. "You're very welcome. If he returns, I could tell him you're looking for him?" And as if to make the point that she would need /his/ name, she gives her own, to all three men, "I'm Berylle Songli, of House Daska." Her gaze flickers to each of them, expectantly. <English>

"Take us a quick wander that way, see if we can't find him then." Baltimore nods to both Rodney and Berylle. "Appreciate the help," With that, ge takes a gawk in the direction in which the elusive Mr McCain is supposed to lurk. <English>

A man carefully balances two plates piled high with piping hot barbecue, making his way to a table where he starts to dig in.

He grins a little widely, shaking his head as she continues with the 'Mister' bit. Casey gives the motions of starting up an argument on this, but considering how everthing doesn't seem to be working up too well on that right now.. He lets it slide for the time being. "Haven't stopped by there, t' be rightly honest.. Got most 'f m' ink hoppin' fr'm planet t' planet." He admits, "May poke m' head in.. N' I'd be willin' t' tag 'long when y'r gettin' all inked up too." He leans over, lighting up her cigarette and doing the same for himself soon after. There's a blink now as it's indicated that he should be getting the money. ".. Wha?" Is all he can get out. But with a look to McCain, he doesn't seem to argue with the credits. A look is given to Kennedy, "Well. Gotta say.. Don't owe me no more. But y' aint got rid 'f me just yet." <English>

Patandy tests her Dance against a 55 difficulty. The result is successful (34). Having found noone with which to chat, annoy, drink, or otherwise ammuse herself, Pat has found one of the areas where folk music is being played. Once there she begins to do what she always does when 1) bored and 2) there's music. <English> Zachary tosses his cup into a nearby trash can and continues to walk along the row of booths. He stops at one where an old woman is selling fruit of various kinds. He picks through the selection until he has found several pieces that seem to suit him. The proprietor puts them in a paper bag and asks for payment, which Zachary gladly gives while simultaneously taking the bag from the counter. Then he drifts further along the line heading in the general direction of the town. <English>

A mime preforms his jerky act to the laughter of those watching his routine.

Salin arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Salin has arrived.

"Ah. I'm Rodney Kilbride...Captain of the Sulchar Baobh." The Gaelic words seem to fit his accent, if nothing else. His introduction is smooth enough, though he adds..."Ah. A Companion, then. Makes sense. Hope you aren't as tetchy as the one who rented a room on my ship for a time.." A smirk, and he looks at Leutrium. "You'd think that it was -our- fault that the woman used all of the hot water...she wanted my engineers to install a separate one...just for her. Madness. And...the drains? -Full- of hair. All of the time. We've got 6 cats, and they shed less than that bloody woman." A blink. Did he just rant a little bit? A shake of his head...and he smiles crookedly at Berylle..."Not that I meant to offend." <English>

Kennedy gives an enigmatic little smile to Casey, repeating her earlier statement of, "Of that, I'm quite aware, Mister Casey." The same smile is afforded to McCain of course, as he's in the proximity. "Cigarettes. Gorram thing are worth an arm and a leg now a days." She holds the aforementioned one thousand credit's worth of tobacco up, like a silent salute. "Boys. A pleasure. I'll be sure to ask Salin which little go-go dancer's garter he'd like you to shove those credits into, McCain." And with that, she seems as if she's about to leave. <English>

If Baltimore said something, the Captain's words went right over Leutrim's head. Literally and figurtively. If he had a hat on his head he'd draw it off for Berylle, but he doesn't. Leutrim suddenly looks a little uncomfortable once she gives her name, "Oh no, miss Songli, ma'am. That won't be necessary. We were just leaving - wished to thank him for hosting this event." This is followed by a brief but awkward pause before Leu suddenly remember his manners, "Leutrim Donnchadh, and this is my Captain, Baltimore Flannigan." A Scotch's Gaelic, and then an Irish name both. <English>

Lyn wanders about the gathering she finds her self near the dance floor as well but she does not do anything but watch the dancers. Her foot taps a bit as she enjoys the music. <English>

Security calms down a brewing incident as a group of young men get into an argument in the line near the beer kegs.

Patandy continues to dance with the folk players. Apparently, she knows the steps, or at least fakes it pretty well as she twirls, jump, bounces, and whirls in and out of the group that moves about in some sort of semi-coordinated mass. <English> Dale is distracted by one of his friend's family members who take him off to the side and whisper something to him. He nods and responds quickly as he melts back into the crowd and is gone. That would be why he can't be found anymore. He's joined by a couple of his best buddy Zander Drake's cousins and that's why no one has seen him for quite some time. <English>

Having been here for the shooting portion of the day, Salin had been called away almost immediately upon completion and seems to have only just returned, a tad later then expected. A quick turn of his head, a flicker of his eyes and a smile begins to slip across his lips as he realizes there are still people around. "Well, glad I didn't miss everything." Is offered softly, to no one but himself. Beginning to move further through the area, he begins to look around, perhaps looking for someone that he knows. <English>

A belated nod to Rodney from Leutrim, "Pleased to meet you, sir." But to the rest that turns in to an amusing rant, Leu regains some of his former humor and tries not to chuckle, a quick glance back to miss Songli wiping it from his young face. <English>

Dale heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Dale heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Dale has left.

A tarrot reader lays the cards out and pulls her head back and looks at the man before her, "Sir....you're going to live..till you die..that'll be twenty credits." then winks and settles down to do the reading properly.

Berylle's nod is languid, regal without being pretensious. "Captain Killbride. Captain Flannigan," she says respectedly and respectfully. She smiles, "It's a pleasure to meet you Leutrim Donnchadh," she slips the syllables over her lips. "A pleasure to meet you all." Then, to Rodney, something vaguely playful in those dark eyes, "I am not offended. Like the stars in the sky, Companions may all sparkle, but we're hardly made of the same things. I'm sorry your experience was difficult." <English>

Zachary heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Zachary heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Zachary has left.

Balt's given up the looking through the crowd for McCain, turning instead to the currect conversation in front of him. "Look at me. My old Ma would cuff me if she knew I was paying to little mind to my manners. Leu here got it right-Baltimore Flannigan. Balt." He gives the both of them a bow. "Must say I've heard a bit about you both. All glowing things, to be assured. Got yourselves a couple of good names, it seems." <English>

A small boy jumps up and down as he wins a small toy at the ring toss.

McCain chuckles and shakes his head, looking between Casey and Kennedy, "Once thing that you learn in business, is that if someone says they owe a couple thousand credits for tobacco, you take their word, no matter how ridiculous the premise might me." and winks, "Seriously, good shooting Kennedy, and I'm glad to hear that your business is going well..." he says, "You should send me your product inventory and price list, so I can see whether we can decide if it's worthwhile for us. If it's profitable, we may have to talk." <English>

Two young men arm wrestle across a table, while a group of girls fawningly look on. A starry-eyed couple dance alone, apart from the crowd, oblivious to everything but each other.

A blink, and Rodney looks mighty suspicious all of the sudden. "What did that damned wanna be gypsy boy tell you?" A sigh, and a theatric shifting of his eyes around the area..."Never trust the gypsies. My grammy told me they steal babbies in the night." Joking or not...his words are near-whispered...this is a dangerous world for such sentiments! "And I hired one and a pair of romany-lights. Ma' always says that I'll meet a fool's end." Okay. He is very rambly. It must be the booze. Attention shifts back to Berylle...and he smirks a bit wryly..."I don't know about sparkling...but that bloody woman sure as hell fancied herself a star. A big bright one." A shrug. "Gorram brown dwarf if ye ask me." A look over his shoulder..."Ye don't think any of the 'little carnies' 'eard that, do you?" Leutriim is given a grin...."Nice to meet ya, laddie." <English>

Stroking along his chin, watching Kennedy still. Casey lets out a long breath and runs his fingers through his hair again, holding his hand at the back of his head. He blinks and smirks at her. There's a nod given in her direction, "Gorram cigarettes. Killin' ya." He murmurs in her direction now, watching her and bowing his head. A chuckle escapes him, "Well.. M' gonna be sure t' come by t' Londinium sometime soon, Miss Kennedy." Since he's still Mister and all. There's a look now finally to McCain. "Hell, th' day I start arguin' 'gainst credits s'the day I start decidin' on joinin' the monastary n' shavin' my head." <English>

The song Pat was dancing to, and the next one, being over, the redheaded GGA member wanders back tot he bar. She gets herself a whisky on the rocks and starts to meander a bit, now busy with her second favorite thing to do when bored. Drink. <English>

Several children run past, disturbing the solidarity of the crowd, laughing and giggling as they play a game of tag.

Apparently his Captain knows who these folk are by their names. Leutrim glances at Baltimore, then back to Rodney and Berylle, but he doesn't have anything else to say. He keeps his mouth shut and listens, then his pale grey eyes slip away to glance over the crowd, likely keeping an eye out for McCain if he can be spotted. Leu shifts the rifle he's carrying ... so many folk here, but thankfully it has thinned a bit. <English>

After a moment of looking around, Salin's eyes flicker over the form of Kennedy and a slight smirk begins to play upon his lips. Adjusting his movements, he begins to close the brief journey through the crowd towards her. Hands drop down, slipping into the pockets of his jeans and as he begins to draw closer, he lifts his voice enough to be heard, "Hey Kenni. Hear you managed to bribe your way into a couple placements." His tone is teasing in nature, a clear jest against his partner. <English>

Patandy is soon visiting the bar again to get her second glass of whisky. Getting perhaps a little tipsy at this point, but obviously far from drunk, the woman prowls the crowd again. Spotting Lyn at the music players she walks up to her and practically pounces on her from behind, gigggling. "Hi Lyn! How ye doin'?" <English>

Lyn moves along through the Carnival and looks over the rides shaking her head at the Carnies invitation to sample their game or ride and she moves along. she does accept a glass of wine from someone as they pass with a tray. She looks over and catches Sight of Mccain with Kennedy's small group and does not see Doc or Kate. She smiles as she sees Patandy and nods to Cassidy and Morgan. Then she moves back towards the ship. Leisurely enjoying the night sky, the music an dthe feel of the darkness encroaching upon the play ground. <English>

Kennedy lifts her chin just slightly at McCain's words, "Suffice to say, three runs netted the Tienlong some where around ten thousand credits for their troubles. I'd say that's a profit. Nice little picnic you had here." She doesn't comment on her own shooting skills, inferior as they were, even if it was to just one other contestant. A glance is given back to Casey, the last she affords him before she wanders away. "Call me Kenni." Even if she insists on tacking 'mister' to his own name. Salin is intercepted, once he makes his presence known. "And you arrested those that placed above you." She reaches out to tug at the front of his shirt, "You're late." She says, slightly indignant. <English>

Balt Smirks at Rodney. "Seems this a dangerous place to be expounding on the virtues of gypsies or the lack there of, Mister Rodney. But seems you're a braver fella than I am." He glances around, incase anyone might be listening in. "Still, seem you proved your ma wrong thus far." <English>

Holliday disembarks from the Traveller. Holliday has arrived.

Berylle looks a little surprised at Baltimore's declaration, but not unpleasantly so. "I'm intrigued. Perhaps someday you can tell me all about it." She smiles. Ping pong, back to Rodney, and perhaps a bit more serious, "Truly, my, and my Guild's apologies." She leaves it as that. She wonders, "Is your wound alright? Did you get your bandage arranged to your satisfaction?" <English>

Lyn looks up as she hears Patandy and waves. "I am good how about you? I see you did good shooting" <English>

Cassidy reemerges from the crowd, rifle still faithfully strapped to her chest. Her rounds took longer then suspected but it wasted some time. She looks around for anyone familiar, crew or not, within the crowded Prairie. <English>

Patandy gives a wave to the retreating Lyn. "I did alrigh'... coulda done better, but least I'm nae last or nothin'." she smiles, toasting Lyn with her nearly-emtpy glass. <English>

Doc returns to the festivities after getting some work done. He steps off the Traveller and says to no one n particular, "Guess ah maght as whel git sumthin ta drink." He looks for the nearest beer Keg. <English>

McCain looks between Kennedy and Salin, and holds a credit chit out to Salin, "Your winnings, third place in the Rifle bracket." he says, and grins faintly, looking back to Kennedy, "What's your production like? Can you do three kilotons a month for Traveller?" he asks, "Three thousand metric tons...I'll pay in advance if you can get me prices and production numbers. Send me a wave." <English>

McCain pays Salin some money.

Baltimore is given a languid shrug, and a shrug. "I can survive the war, and reavers, and innumerable fights? I ain't so scared of the gypsies." Rodney isn't fearless by any means, but he's not speaking loudly for a reason. Berylle's question is given a nod, and the Scot pats the wounded side. "Aye. It's right as a wound like this can be...popped a stitch or two doin' the shootin'. Just wanted to get it right, since my Doc took off with her romany friends." A shake of his head..."And there's no need to apologize...her indigination when I finally terminated her lease was more than enough." <English>

Lyn changes directions to merge at the ship with Patandy, "did you get some of the dinner. They used an old family receipe of teh Holliday's. It was delicious. every thing was. This has been ince for Mack. He did himself proud" she returns the toast before taking a sip. <English>

McCain pays Rodney some money.

Cassidy walks over to Doc and sighs, "Security is fine do far. Didn't have too much trouble, just a few teenagers got unruly is all... How's it goin' for you?" She stays with him on his way to get a drink as well. <English>

That smirk upon Salin's lips deepens slightly as Kennedy reaches up to tug upon his shirt and after a moment, he offers her a slight shrug, "What can I say? I had business to attend to. Better late then never." A shift of his attention to McCain and he raises a brow, a hand lifting to accept the chit before he nods, "Hmm, didn't expect that. Thanks, Laurent. And what's this about Cargo? You thinking of hauling for us?" <English>

Patandy tosses the rest of her whisky down, beginning her prowling again. Spotting Doc and Cass now, evil glints cross her eyes as she moves up behind them as they get their drinks. "Alrigh' ye two!" she says. "Finish 'em, cause ye two are gonna come dance wi' me!" <English>

McCain smirks "Hauling for you? No General...But I'll buy your product and haul it for myself." he says, grinning faintly as he looks over Salin, "Depending on whether I can get a price per ton, and a breakdown of what you're producing. If price is right and the numbers look all right, I might be interested in buying all you can produce." <English>

Balt smiles to Berylle. "Information's a lot like kissing and telling, Miss Berylle, in that the one ought not to lead to the other. Still, will consider your offer a rain check." His tone is sincere in a polite sort of way. Then turning to Rodney: "Suppose I understand where you're coming from. On the other hand, know I got a healthy fear of them with authority over me. So maybe I keep my nose a touch brown as a just-in-case." <English>

Still listening, and not having spotted who he was looking for, but having noticed his lack of a drink instead, Leutrim turns his head back as Rodney speaks. The younger officer mulls something over for a moment and then asks, "Captain Kilbride, would that doctor you mention be Doctor Lambsey?" and a glance to Baltimore, "I did see her and her brother here a bit ago. Did you ever get a chance to speak with them, sir?" Trying not to be rude, Leutrim looks at Berylle again but doesn't wish to be caught staring. <English>

Doc catches Lyn's words about the barby sauce and grins at her and pauusesas Cass joins him. He looks at Lyn and says, "It was quite good wasn't it.." He winks and looks at Cass, "Whel...at least whee had nough security ta keep thins in line..and as uthin really bad has happened ah thins whee did ourah jobs." Doc jumps as Patandy sneaks up behind him and Cass, he grins and cants his head, "So yer whantin ta dance areah ya Pat..." He smirks and looks at Cass, "Whaddaya think Cass..should whee dance with Patty hereah?" There's an evil glint in his eyes. <English>

A rain check, was the point, yes. Berylle smiles at Baltimore. "Of course, I understand." She smiles again at Leutrim, this time, relenting finally with an attempt at putting him at ease. <English>

Starting to stand up now, dusting off his clothes and looking himself over, Casey now finally produces a small band which he can tie his hair back into a small pony tail, even with the bangs hanging in front of his face. He doesn't seem too offset by all of this. The man walks along now, deciding that now is time to go for food. Today seemed like a good day. Might as well top that off with barbeque and beer. <English>

Cassidy sighs, "I'm on the job fella's. Besides I dance like a baby on crack." She looks over to Pat, "You're drunk ant ya?" She rolls her eyes not really in an irritated fashion but enough to get across that she's disapproving of any kind of dancing at the moment. <English>

There is a chirp in Rodney's ear, and he turns his head away from the conversation to listen...which turns into a sigh. A glance at the trio that he had been conversing with, and he offers them a slight frown. "We've got some repair issues...namely, some local mechanic that needs a boot up his backside. I'd best get on with it." Leutrium recieves a nod in the affirmative. "Aye. Ivy's our sawbones...and Dale is one of my mechanics. Good kids...for gypsy-lovers." A wink, and he gives the trio a farewell wave, and saunters toward the exit. <English>

"I am so /nae/ drunk tha'..." Pat starts, then pauses to think about what her sentence was trying, then holds up a pair of fingers barely apart. "Okay, mayhaps a little drunk. Only had two beers and two whiskies, so cannae be /tha'/ drunk." She tugs at Doc. "Well, ye come dance wi' me then." <English>

Kennedy shares a smile with Salin for a moment, perhaps an inside joke passing between then before she turns to triangulate her position between Salin and McCain to keep them both in her sights. Her attention, however, seems to be on a certain Tattooed Tobacco Savior in an absent sort of fashion. Not staring at him, of course, but perhaps through and pass him as she comments, "Sorry, McCain. We're not accepting exclusive contracts. Have to share the wealth, you understand. But we should be able to meet three thousand tons a month. Got a pen? Jot this down. High tech, the cream of our crop you can have for five-eighty a ton, and the mid for three-sixty." She points to the meandering form of Casey. "Anyone know who he crews for? I want him." Like she's asking after chattle. <English>

Rodney heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Rodney heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Rodney has left.

Morgan has left. Morgan boards the Traveller.

Lyn exchanges her empty glass with another that is being carried on a tray and passes by. She smiles at the waiter and then moves out of the line of moving people she catches Cassidy's comment and smiles. She moves so that she can watch Doc and Patandy dance. when the order comes over the waves she stops Morgan, "I'll do it." and heads towards the ship. <English>

Lyn has left. Lyn boards the Traveller.

Elric arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Elric has arrived.

There is a soft chuckle that escapes Salin's lips and he offers a quick nod of his head towards McCain, "Not a General anymore, Laurent." A shadow of a wink and his attention returns to Kennedy, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he looks over towards who she's indicated, "Want him? Why?" Then, his attention returns to McCain and he makes a motion towards Kennedy, "Seems she has that information handy. Gorram, I was going to have to go looking for it, as well." <English>

Trevor stays a bit longer and then heads out back towards town. He nods to any there that he recognizes as he may pass them. <English>

Trevor heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Trevor heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Trevor has left.

Morgan disembarks from the Traveller. Morgan has arrived.

Morgan steps down off the Traveller carrying a weapons crate and looking for McCain or the buyer <English>

Doc nods to Cassidy regarding her security duties and then looks at Pat as she tugs in him and finally shrrugs, "Whaat the hell...been a while since ah wasdancin anywhay." He moves along with Pat now and grins, "Oh..congrates..ya bat meh bah 1.6 points taday...next year though it'll beh different." He grins at her as they walk towards the makeshift dance floor. <English>

A nod to Captain Kilbride as Rodney gives his reply and excuses himself. Leutrim returns his attention to Berylle and finds she smiles at him, and never having seen a Companion before, Leu colors just a touch. He clears his throat and jabs Baltimore with his elbow, "Eh, Captain, I think I see Mr. McCain over there. Think I'll eh... grab a scotch and meet you over there?" And to Berylle, a more formal inclination of his head, "Miss Songli, if you will excuse me." Leutrim moves to extract himself, if allowed. <English>

Lyn disembarks from the Traveller. Lyn has arrived.

Patandy tests her Dance against a 40 difficulty. The result is successful (34).

Patandy doesn't so musch as walk with Doc as practically drag him to the folk-music dancing area. "Pha... tha's what ye think." she says. And with that little bit of preamble, she pulls the man into the swirling mass of people as it were. <English>

Berylle's, "Of course," is velvet smooth and polite. "It was a pleasure to meet you Leutrim. Enjoy your evening." <English>

At Leu's mention of Ivy and Dale, a flash of exasperation passes over Balt's face. "The doc and her brother were here? Been meaning to talk to them. All this other bureaucratic nonsense going on been keeping us playing tag, and now I plumb missed them." He huffs. Then Rodney leaves and Balt returns the man's wave before turning back to the group. "But suppose that ain't a discussion that needs to happen here." Leu's boyish blush tickles him a little and he waits for Leu to go before leaning in toward Berylle. "Boy's never seen one in your line before, I believe. Seems you enamored him a touch." <English>

Ward has connected.

Murl makes his way throuh the crowd toward the ramp of the Traveler. In his hand is a black canvas gear bag. <English>

McCain touches the control of his iComm and speaks a couple times, then smiles "As you say General." and shrugs, "How is it an exclusive deal if I proactively buy everything you can produce for the next month?" he asks, looking between Kennedy and Salin. He shrugs faintly, "It's up to you guys...I can't say it matters to me really. None of my crew needs to work again in their lifetimes as it is, so..." <English>

Holliday tests his Dance against a 40 difficulty. The result is successful (19).

Morgan looks to the man approaching, "You're Elric?" <English>

Lyn moves down the ramp behind Morgan and watches over his shoulder. She smiles so that those he is doing business with before she wanders off into the darkness away from the whole thing. <English>

Lyn heads through the exit labeled <NE> Rocky Hills. Lyn heads onto Rocky Hills - Paquin. Lyn has left.

"Elric Ratius." The man says as he steps the the bottom of the ramp. "I placed an order earlier." He waits patiently. <English>

Lyn arrives from Rocky Hills - Paquin. Lyn has arrived.

Doc snickers as Patandy pulls him along and then imediately they fall in with those dancing on the floor. He has a bit of trouble at first but is soon moving with ease along with Pat. He grins at her and says, "Feelin purdy good are whee?" he says with a smile as they flow along to the folk music. <English>

Morgan nods, and moves forward with the weapons crate. "Got your request right here. <English>

Berylle admits, watching Leutrim depart, "It's very sweet, and I'm touched." She smiles, something genuine and warm and tells Baltimore, "I don't mean to keep you either, if you'd like to catch up with him, and find McCain?" <English>

Patandy still dances around, it being still folk-music so there's lots of twirling, stepping, and a few jumps and whatnot. "Two beers an' two whiskies." Pat repeats. "Wouldnae /you/ be feelin' good?" she asks. "'sides, I jus' took third place twice an' was able ta get my hands on one o' those 1911s Corin won." <English>

Elric pays Morgan some money.

You test your Spot against a 70 difficulty. The result is unsuccessful (-6).

A "Thank you, ma'am." and a nod to his Captain about Dale and Ivy, then Leutrim has succeeded in extracting himself - not overhearing Baltimore's last to miss Songli. Just as well. A bit of a walk back to the tables with food and drink and a bit of looking. Now where is it... Leu knows he smelled scotch. Nothing like that peat odor. Ah! Drat. Well, he finds someone serving the harder drinks but alas, the scotch is all out. A quick look over the other choices, but nothing really appeals to him, so Leu puts his hands into his pants pockets and leisurely makes his way, drifting through the crowd and looking out for McCain - and his own Captain to catchup. But, alas, too many folk to see where McCain went off to. <English>

The TTS(TM), otherwise known as Casey, is continuing to peruse through the different bits of barbeque here and there, stacking everything up on his plate, looking pleased as a man can be with such a thing like free food. Picking up a beer, there's a quick swallow or two of the contents and he makes his way along now. Humming to himself, the man wanders now in the direction something that can do as a make-shift chair.. Flopping down, apparently unaware of the fact that he's the subject of a conversation right now. Picking up a rib, he looks out to the crowd and starts to make a mess all over his face as he begins eating, sloppily rubbing the back of his hand over his mouth, only smearing the sauce and grease really. <English>

.. And somehow, Casey does this without interrupting his smoking. Talents abroad. <English>

Cassidy wades through the crowd and ends up moving to the edge of the dace floor anyways, She watches the dancers a moment and rolls her eyes at the mass of people before moving along. A few moments of walking and she comes along trouble already, involving two very drunk people in each others faces and ready to bash the others head in. Her eyes narrow in response as she approaches the two. "Is there a problem here boys?" <English>

Kennedy indicates Salin with the filter of her cigarette. "Lord Marshall now, McCain. And it would be exclusive as we would have to cancel all the other standing contracts we have with other ships. As you say, your crew is set for life, so you souldn't want to cut out the less fortunate, working man, now would you? Three thousand. Bi-monthly if you like, as long as you haul in the raw materials on occassion." The cigarette is slung back in her mouth as she puffs, her hand pointing off to Casey. "Aw, c'mon Salin. He's cute in that...needs a wet nap sorta way." She squints slightly, as smoke filters up to her eyes. "Figure he'd be good for fodder for that job, is all." She shrugs, dismissing that notion as her attention turns back to business. <English>

Doc entertwines arms with Pat as the dance continues and says, "Whel..ahm hhappy fer ya Patty...ya done good mah friend..." He says enjoying the acctivity at hand. He tiwrls pat a few times and at one point does the erverbial dip..archng his eyebrows several times and brings her back up to another twirl and then they interlock arms again. <English>

Morgan hands over the weapons crate to Elric, "There you go. Thanks for your business." <English>

Balt glances back over his shoulder after Leu. "Probably ought to look after the lad. Can remember myself what it was like being that young. Confusing bit of impulses sometimes, like learning how to look without staring. All a measure of self-control, balance of mystery and reveal--something I suspect you might have a bit of practice in yourself by the seems of it." Again a look after Leu to see where the man's ending up. Balt turns back and bows to Berylle. "Miss Songli, was a pleasure finally putting a face to the name. And do intend to take you up on that rain check one day, if you're willing." He smiles politely to her, then heads off after Leu/McCain. <English>

Patandy gives Doc a light punch in the arm at the dip and eye waggling. "Hey there, ye're still married." She notes to him with a smirk. "An' dinnae call me Patty please." Though she doesn't argue about the twirls. <English>

Berylle bows in return with a fluid grace, "I'd be honored," she tells Baltimore and sends him on his way with another of those dazzling smiles. <English>

Elric checks the contents then transfers it to the bag he has with him. "Thank you, and please tell Mr McCain thank you as well." He turns ands with a quick look around starts back toward the the town. <English>

McCain chuckles and nods to Kennedy, "I'll run it by my crew and see what they think. But you're right, there's no reason for me to be greedy." he says. He looks over to Salin, "Lord Marshal...Heh, I like General better, but as you say Lord Marshal." and winks, "Congratulations on your promotion." <English>

Elric heads through the exit labeled Outskirts of Town. Elric heads onto Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Elric has left.

Cassidy tests her Martial_Arts against a 50 difficulty. The result is successful (16).

Doc rolls his eyes after he gets hit, "Nuthing wrong with whaat ah did Pat...ifin yer gonna dance with meh at times ah ain't holdin back anythin...it's jus howah it is.." He continues with her until this dance is over and smiles at pat and clasps for the band while waiting for perhaps another one to start. <English>

Salin's gaze flickers back over towards Casey, offering the man another intent look before he chuckles softly, eyes shifting to settle back on Kennedy, "What ever you say, Kenni. Why don't you run over there and offer him a job then? See if he's the right material." His gaze shifts over towards McCain and offers a faint smile, "Thanks. It was decided that I'd be better served as an Advisor, then what I was previously doing. Which is fine with me. Affords me certain freedoms." <English>

Leutrim has found something he had forgotten. Something unpleasant. Having put his hands into his pants pockets, he suddenly remembered the small, fluffy, donut glazed sticky stuffed animal dog toy. Ick. Now his hand is sticky again. Lovely. Pulling it out and turning around, the young police officer returns to the tables that are serving drinks, "Eh, excuse me. Have a bottle of water and some napkins or something? Need to wash this off." The server takes on look at the cute, sticky, fluffy dog toy and laughs, then gives Leu the water he asked for. Just as Baltimore might be catching up to him, Leutrim is wrapping the little pomeranian stuffed animal in the napkins and stuffing it back into his pocket, then rinsing his hands off. <English>

Kennedy takes a final drag off her cigarette, tossing it to the dirt and using the toe of her boot to implant the paper filter into the ground with a good grind. "Freedoms like dancing with your fantastically good looking business partner." And seeming how he only has one partner, that sort of narrows it down for Salin. "McCain, send us a wave as to when to expect you, hmm? But tomorrow, business is closed." Yes, her confidence extends to the fact that McCain's crew will want the pretty profit that is already boxed and waiting to go. Her attention turns back to Salin, apparently dismissing the notion of hiring Casey for now. "You /can/ dance, can't you?" <English>

Baltimore tests his Spot against a 70 difficulty. The result is successful (30).

Patandy makes a face at Doc, sticking her tounge out at him. She also claps for the band, then takes her place to make ready for the next dance as it begins. "Well then, I hope when ye're nae holdin' back tha' ye dinnae do anythin' tha' I'm gonna 'ave ta tell Kate 'bout." she jokes. <English>

Lyn moves back into the light but finds a place out of the general melee to sit and drink from a bottle of water. She watches Patandy and Doc dance and watches Cassidy do her job. A bit of quiet. <English> "Wonder how many bullseyes Miss Amber had to make with the carney's BB gun to win that thing?" Balt gestures down to the furry owl pellet Leu's cramming into his pocket. "Now, you planning to lick that thing clean or you going to offer your thank yous and kind goodbyes to our host." He points through a gap in the crowd to where McCain stands talking, then pats Leu on the shoulder and starts heading that way. <English>

McCain chuckles "I'll give it some thought Lady Sinclair." and grins faintly, nodding to Salin, "Congratulations on the contest, Lord Marshal." he says, "I'll leave you to your dancing... Enjoy the party." He nods again and turns back to head for the Traveller, where he finds a chair, a bottle of beer, and settles down heavily to enjoy his cold brew. <English>

The two drunkards look over to the seemingly harmless Cassidy, totally ignoring the fact that she's armed or even there for that matter. They go at it then, throwing punches and disturbing the crowd as they do so. Screams from unsuspecting women cry out as the obnoxious men knock into them as they brawl. Cassidy is quick to react, stepping between the men and stopping the fight after flipping her M4 onto her back. The man she chooses face becomes even more enraged and charges at her. The warrior women moves into position and grabs his arm and shoulder, using the man's own forward movement to flip him to the ground in a basic Aikido move. She finishes with a knockout punch to the face with her fighting gloves before facing the other man who stands there amazed in his drunken glory. "Please leave, sir. You've over stayed your welcome." She starts to advance on the man, slowly. <English>

A nod to McCain, followed by a quick smile, "Thanks Laurent. Good job on the events, by the way. Sorry I got called away mid through and missed a portion of it." Another nod and he watches the man depart towards the Traveller, then his gaze shifts, settling back upon Kennedy and that smirk returns to his lips, "Dance? Of course I can dance." There's a slight narrowing of eyes now, followed by a quick arch of a brow, "You actually want to dance, m'dear? That's something I wouldn't have thought to hear you say." <English>

A soft laugh from Leutrim as he finishes washing his hands off, "Don't know how or where she got it." And drinking the last of the bottled water, Leu dries his hands on his pants and starts after Baltimore, "Aye, good idea, sir." The bottle finds an overlfowing waste receptical and then Leu jogs a few steps to catch up. A hand goes to readjust the rifle strap as the approach McCain finally. <English>

Tren arrives from Outskirts of Town - Paquin. Tren has arrived.

Doc raises his hands and slaps his sides with a sigh, "Ah gives up then..." He shakes his head and looks at Pat, "Then mehbeh this wasn't a good idea then...nowah ahm not in tha mood ta dance anymoreah.." He looks around and back to Patandy finally and sets his hands in his pockets and cants his head at her, "So whaat nowah?" <English>

Kennedy may not be in a ball gown, and she may smell faintly of tobacco and barbeque sauce, but she's still holding out her hand for Salin to take. Likely, knowing the Baroness, the offer isn't apt to stay for long. Doors of opportunity tend to be slammed rather quickly, when she's concerned. "That would be the assumption yes." A dark brow arches, pinching the skin of her forehead in a delicate wrinkle. A silent question. A breath in waiting. <English>

Tren walks in from the carnival holding a bag of cotton candy, it's unusual and blue and she seems to love it for being a young woman, the only others carring the treat seem to be children. She smiles this being so far from her home she can't imagine anything like this. She reaches up adjusting the screwdriver that is holding her hair up and she walks back to the party and looks at all the people. <English>

Patandy stops dancing and sighs, realizing she's pushed the joke too far, perhaps pouting a little bit. Her eyes go over to the sound of a *thud* at the nearby table and she motions to it with her head. "Might need ta be seein' if Cass needs help." she says. "I'm sorry Doc, I was... Just funnin', ye know?" <English>

Sloppy Casey continues his eating merrily, seemingly only cleaning himself up slightly from the occasional swig of his beer. Ah. Food. Yum. The hazel eyes close a bit and he, soon enough, finishes up with his meal. Letting out a victory belch, he finds the appropriate place to discard the plate, cup.. ANd the now dead cigarette away. All while looking like he almost dived face first into that pile of barbecue. It's only when the fact that he's a bit messy that he does take notice, the tattooed man pulls up the collar of his shirt and promptly cleans himself off as best as possible. An idle mental note to get this shirt washed running along within his mind. Another cigarette comes about now, clouds of smoke starting to plume around his head soon after. <English>

Doc looks over where Patandy was looking and says, "It's ok..and pahaps yer raght..let's go see whaat happenin." Doc turns and walks over towards where Cassidy is at just watching as he and Patandy approach. <English>

Ward has disconnected.

McCain tumbleweeds through the crowd and it is a chore to keep up with him without tracking dogs or a balloon tied to his wrist they way they do for children. Finally though, Balt spots the man kicking back in front of his ship, already in another conversation. He stops a few steps back from the current crowd of folks swarming the host, waiting for a break in the conversation. <English>

Tren just looked at you.

The Man clenches and unclenches his first, face in concentration as what to do. The alcohol doesn't help of course. "Why Should I have to go, he started it?" he speaks with a slur. Cassidy chuckles as she steps near him, looking over her shoulder for a minute to make sure the knocked out brawler isn't moving. "I don't care if ya started it or not," She begins as her eyes return to look at the man, "You're both too fuckin' drunk to function civilly in public. I want you out of here..." She chucks her thumb violently over her shoulder, "And take dip shit here with you too, dong ma?" <English>

Lyn stands as Cassidy begins to do her hing. at first concerned that she will be hurt, Lyn is almostabout to rush forward when cass handles both men with aploom. she sits back down taking a sip of the water. <English>

Tren walks forward looking for a place to sit but there's so many people she's having a diffcult time. "blast" she says softly curling her lip. "Don't see anyone I know." she turns softly slowly, and starts to walk through the tables looking for a free spot where she won't be any trouble, but this seems to not be her crowd, she's only a mechanic after all. <English>

Tracking dog absent today, alas... yes, Aelfred is missed whenever Leutrim must go without his K-9 companion, but nonetheless he keeps up with his Captain through the crowd. Coming to stand beside and slightly behind Baltimore, Leu's pale grey eyes skim the folks coming and going while they wait politely so not to interrupt McCain, "I don't think I have ever seen so many people all in once place in all my life, sir." Backwoods showing again, Leu adds, "Crowds make me a little homesick." And glancing back to Balt, he adds, "You ever miss Verbena, Balt?" <English>

Salin knows all to well the how things can quickly change with the Baroness and as such, a hand lifts to accept hers and he's drawing her slighlty closer to him. The smirk fades from his lips, replaced by a smile as her brow arches into a silent question, "Well, then I certainly shall not turn down this offer." A lowering of his voice and a slight tilt of his head inwards and he's speaking again, "Congratulations, as well. I saw your scores. Very nicely done." <English>

Patandy looks a little depressed or upset now as she approaches the little scene that Cass is mediating as it were. "Lookie here, Doc." she says loudly, moving to pour herself another drink. Scotch this time. "A couple o' idiots pickin' a fight wi' a woman wi' a /big/ ol' gun... think they'll figure anythin' out an' leave, or will they be needin' med services later?" <English>

McCain isn't actually talking to anyone, is just watching the waning party, sipping his beer. His gaze fallls on Cassidy and he reaches up to touch his iComm and speak softly, then shakes his head. He brings the bottle of beer back to his lips again, taking another sip and trying to relax, worn out by the rigors of the day apparently. <English>

Morgan continues to watch the gathering from the Traveller ramp, not really suited to the big event.. he continues to check in with security and keep an eye out for his crew <English>

Tren

Tren is a tall woman of six feet, her long black hair is pulled back behind her head and held in place with a screwdriver. She is wearing a green short dress that looks like she put it together herself and white sandles. Around her wrist is a bracelet made of a wrench that has been heated and curved into a circle to fit around her wrist like a bangle. She's only 26, but still has a careworn look about her; a tattoo on her left shoulder is the only defining mark on her, aside from her Green piercing eyes. Her dress looks like this:D012-1.jpg

Lyn smiles at the girl with the screwdrive in her hair. "You are welcome to sit with me if you like." she motions at the empty seat acrossed from her. "I am not very good company tonight but you can see the dancing from here and the food is right over there." <English>

Tren smiles to Lyn and nods "Thank you miss." she says softly and sits down putting her cotton candy bag on the table. "It's just I'm not use to all this ceremony...and Celebration." she admits <English>

Doc grins as he and Pat arrives where Cass and the others are at. He heard Cass's words and the man's respsonse, "Whel..it seems ta meh sah..thaat ya aught ta take mah frind here's advice..take yer friend and scoot..cuz whee ain't havein none o this.ya ovahstayed yer wehlcome...time ta go.." He arches an eyebrow now. <English>

"Haven't spent much time back since after the factory accident. Miss /that/ verbena I suppose." Balt responds a little dryly to Leu. This eyes must be deceiving him though-the crowd he thought he spied around McCain was in fact just a crowd in the way of McCain. "Mister McCain," Balt holds up a hand as greeting then takes a step closer. "Don't mean to disturb the one break you likely found yourself during the whole of this jambouree, but wanted to make sure we thanked you for the hosting of it. A fine thing, this is, and appreciate the invitation to it even if the invite was an open one." <English>

Kennedy puts her other hand on his shoulder, stepping in to the vague dance embrace even though they are really no where near the dance floor. The music carries enough, afterall. "Mmm. But not good enough." Comes the quiet self-admonishment. She saw the stats, there was quite a gap between first and second in the expert categorey. "The problem I have with dancing..." She starts, a pause in the middle as a smile creeps to her features. "...is trying to remember /not/ to lead." <English>

Some gal with her hair all twisted up into a knot with a screwdriver stuck through it distracted him for a moment, but Leutrim looks back to his Captain and nods. Baltimore though is even then stepping up to go and speak with McCain, so Leu follows. Waiting until Balt has spoken his piece, Leutrim nods his agreement, "Yes sir, Mr. McCain, wish to thank you for hosting this event. Right fine of you, sir." <English>

Berylle finally immerges from the crowd, having made her way towards the Traveller, pausing to chat with this person or that, exchanging smiles. Up the ramp with a sweep of silk and languid strides, auburn hair shimmering like burnished metal in the growing hours of the day. "Morgan," she greets with a smile as she moves past the man. <English>

Evalyn has arrived.

Lyn softly chuckles, "I am not sure anyone actually gets used to these things. You enjoy it, the parts of it that you enjoy, and then leave." She waves over at waiter "would you like something to eat? or maybe drink. open bar so no charge. so just enjoy your host's hospitality." <English>

Morgan nods to Berylle, "Berry, hope you had a goodtime." <English>

McCain smiles to Baltimore and reaches over to one side and pulls another couple lawn chairs over and unfolds them. He gestures to the chairs "Have a seat Baltimore. You're more than welcome, it seems like it's been a good event, and it's not even over quite yet, but it's certainly winding down." He nods to Leutrim, and looks between the two law officers, "I'm glad you both could make it...Did you get enough to eat, the beer on tap was quite good..." <English>

Out numbered the man folds, "Yeah..." He speaks quietly moving over to his unconscious 'friend', picking him up the best he can. They begin to walk off the grounds as Cassidy speaks into her Com. asking the other security teams to tell her when and if those men actually leave. She moves over to Doc and Pat, bringing her M4 to hang across her chest once more, "Fuckin' idiots... I hate drunk people, less I am one." She chuckles lightly at this. <English>

Marc has connected.

Tren shakes her head "I have cotton candy" she says softly to Lyn. "A drink would be nice..something strong..whiskey?" she asks, obviously the mechanic cleans up but there's no taking the grunge out of her. <English>

Patandy toasts Cass with her glass. "Well, here's ta bein' hated by ye tonight then, Cass." she says with a smirk, downing the glass and immediately getting a refil. "How's it goin'?" <English>

Berylle's smile inches with warmth, "I did, I did, thank you." "And yourself?" <English>

Morgan smiles to Berylle, "I'm not much of a big group person. I'm glad things went alright, I had some good food.. but I'm more at home making sure everything is going ok. I've been checking in with security all evening and walking the perimiter." he runs a hand through his hair, "Its my thing I guess." <English>

Slipping his other arm around her waist, Salin rests his hand lightly against the small of her back, completely that vague dance embrace. "No, but it would be difficult to beat the man who won. I was surprised how awful I did." And then, she starts and he begins to follow her lead, though when she pauses, she is offered a smile and a faint chuckle, "Mmm, that doesn't surprise me in the least, m'dear. I suppose, it is a good thing that I can follow, to your lead. Or lead, to your follow." Then, he begins to resume the dance. <English>

Balt nods graciously at McCain's offer of a seat. "Appreciate the offer, but ought to keep to moving really. Work to be done and all of that. Sure you got an understanding. Though sometime would like to track you down and take a gander at them new armored suits the folks on the cortex is going on about so much." He pauses to take another look around the event and at the Traveler as the midway lights are starting to come on. <English>

Lyn looks at the blue stuff in the plastic wrap. "what do you have there." she asks curiously. she leans against the table and folds her hands on the top. "oh and what brand of whiskey would you prefer?" she looks up at the waiter, "a glass of Soyiano for me and " she looks at the girl acrossed from her. <English>

Doc nods and watches the 'boys'head for the main entrance and sees a security team step in behind them. He turns to Cassidy and grins, "Nace werk..whee jus thought ourah presence maght been o hep to ya." Doc looks at Pat and her toast and grins, "Bah..Cass ain't bein hated...come on..les go git anothah drink.." Doc hasn't had a drink yet today that he's been able to finish. <English>

Tren smiles to the waiter "anything strong..whiskey with a kick..brand don't matter." she smiles back to lyn "it's called Cotton Candy...we never had anything like this back on Beylix." she smiles and takes another bite of the sugarie treat. <English>

Despite being young, bright eyed and bushtailed and all that rot, Leutrim's looking a little tired. And he's got an early shift in the morning, so reluctantly he nods in agreement with his Captain's comment about not lingering, "But yes, the food and the beer have been quite excellant Mr. McCain. I don't think you'll have any complaints." Just then Leu catches a glimpse of silk as Berylle goes on up the Travelor's ramp, pausing to speak to some fella. <English>

Morgan

Morgan stands about 5'9", weighing near 198lbs. He appears in good shape, with broad shoulders and good muscular tone and those who look closely see a hint of military posture in his movements. His dark brown eyes are always active, always alert; taking in his surroundings and any potential threats. He has black hair which is shaved down on the sides but long enough on the top to reach the back of his skull, it also has a tendency to fall down around his eyes unless he pins it in place with his boonie hat, which he carries hooked around his neck hanging on his back when its not actually on his head. Morgan is dressed in a well worn pair of jeans which he prefers for comfort and mobility and a loose fitting plain t-shirt. He still wears a pair of combat boots, but has no visible military designations on his clothing. His duster hangs slightly below his hips, partially covering the weaponry on his belt. His carries a pair of fingerless gloves which are tucked into his pocket.

Evalyn returns from whence she came-- albeit, somewhat quieter, more reserved than when she'd been walking around, only a few short hours ago. The child she'd left with, too, has calmed down a good deal; rather than that bouncing, spaztic body of joy, she now sleeps in Evalyn's arms, slack-jawed and loose, using the older woman's shoulder as a sort of pillow. The woman carefully hefts her load, before carefully approaching one of the food vendors, gently asking for a drink. <English>

Berylle sympathizes, "Everyone has their levels of comfort." "Enjoy the rest of your evening, Morgan." She slips out of sight then, leaving the gathering behind her. <English>

Cassidy chuckles at Pat, "Look your so drunk that Doc can't understand a word your sayin'." She looks to Doc, "She was sayin' that I hate her 'cause she's cocked." Her wide violet blue eyes return to gaze upon pat, her lips curling into a smirk. "Nah I hate ya all the time Pat, don't flatter your self." She chuckles lightly and gives a playful wink. <English>

Dancing not being his strong point, Casey decides to sit aside for all of this now, puffinf upon his cigarette and rubbing at the parts of his face that still have the 'greasy' feel to it. Licking at the corners of his lips, he mumbles something about how he should have thought things though. Peering down underneath his shirt, looking to what all he left on this impromptu napkin.. Then shrugging his shoulders. Spotting Kennedy again now with the dancing partner, there's a nod of his head in her direction and one is offered to Salin as well. A grunt and he snorts some, he peers off to the commotion that was casued by the two drunkards.. Then shakes his head, "Gorram people unable to hold their booze." <English>

The vendor smiles "good looking kid, what sort of drink can I get you?" <English>

Berylle has left. Berylle boards the Traveller.

McCain mms and pushes himself up to his feet, "Well that's easily done, you can come aboard and have a look...I've got a couple in the commons locker." He smiles and nods to Leutrim, "It seems a good time was had by all, that's all I care about." and touches his iComm, and says something before looking to the Alliance law personages in the form of Baltimore and Leutrim, "Give me a moment and I'll go turn off the internal death rays so you can come aboard. Someone will walk you up to the commons." <English>

Evalyn laughs a little, and shrugs the free shoulder. "She's nicer when she's asleep. Got any sort of soda's, maybe?" she asks, sheepishly admitting; "Now's not a good time t'be gettin' tipsy." <English>

McCain has left. McCain boards the Traveller.

The man smiles and nods his understanding, "Blue Sun Cola and then something called Coke?" <English>

Patandy gives Cass a beaming smile. "Well, tha's good." she says, sipping her scotch. "Would hate ta think that ye actually /liked/ me at any point. Would likely lower ya in my esteem, ye know?" she giggles. <English>

Morgan stands on the ramp of the traveller, waiting for the ship's guests. <English>

Evalyn pauses for a moment, and smirks a little. "Just the cola'll be fine. Think I'll trust that over some weird, no-brand-name stuff," she playfully teases. <English>

Balt spots Leu glancing after the companion. "Believe miss Berylle might be a member of house Daska just up the road from us, Leu." Taking a look then at the traveler, he give Leuy a look at ask if he wants to follow, then boards the ship hoping the death rays things was just a gag. <English>

Baltimore has left. Baltimore boards the Traveller.

Doc looks at Cass, "Stay with Pat while I does this escort." Doc walks over to the traveller and says to Baltimore and Leutrim, "Folah meh please." <English>

Holliday has left. Holliday boards the Traveller.

Lyn nods as the girl orders and the waiter walks away. "I have never seen any before. must be good" she inhales and starts to stand as com chatter moves into her ear. Then she settles back down. "so what do you do?" <English>

Morgan has left. Morgan boards the Traveller.

Leutrim looks to his Captain suddenly appalled, "I could never - I mean, she'd ... " Well hell, tongue tied. So he just shuts his mouth and follows his captain. <English>

You board the Traveller.

 Traveller - Cargo Bay                                          =>Traveller<=

This cavernous space is nearly a hundred fifty feet long, and a hundred feet wide, with a ceiling that stretches above to better than twenty feet, with the bay dor opening to the forward of the ship, spanning nearly the width of the bay. It's utilitarian appointment and the myriad fixtures attached to deck and bulkheads are designed for one purpose, the hauling of equipment and cargo. The bulkhead struts and ceiling supports have been reinforced to bear the load of many hundreds of tons of mass.

Amidships in the large open space, a set of steps comes down from above, going to both the port and starboard bulkheads before making a right angle turn toward the deck. The walls and floor is fitted with recessed cargo management tiedowns, but the steel plate shows the scuffs and dents of several years of hard use. Nothing in this bay is new, yet it all is carefully maintained and in good working order.

You head through the exit labeled <Up> Stairs Up. You are entering Traveller - Common Area.

 Traveller - Common Area                                        =>Traveller<=

This rectangular compartment occupies a good portion of the center of the upper deck. At the aft of the compartment, a set of bulkheads divide the main part of the space from the rest of the room, with stairs leading down below, to both port and starboard. Further back from that, is a large hatch leading aft to the shuttle bay. The forward bulkhead opens to the forward access space, and then on to the bridge. Two hatches on either side, to port and starboard lead to crew cabins. Next to the forward access a ladder has been welded to the bulkhead leading up to an iris hatch.

The common area is spacious, open, with a galley built into the starboard aft bulkhead. A granite topped bar seperates the kitchen area from the rest of the commons, with four backless swivel stools on posts attached to the deck. Along the width of the room on the port side of the commons is a long dining table surrounded with ten chairs, four on each side, and one at each end. A set of book cases is built into the starboard bulkhead between the hatches, while a cortex terminal dominates the same space on the port side. A soft leather, sectional couch occupies the central floor space between the table, bar, and the forward access space.

Morgan arrives from Traveller - Cargo Bay. Morgan has arrived.

Morgan follows Balt up to the commons <English>

McCain is waiting in the commons when people come up, "You want anything to drink?" he asks, dumping his empty bottle in the bin, then opens another and takes a sip, "So, the new armour...Both sets, or one in particular?" <English>

Morgan stands next to the exit watching over all the participants <English>

Balt looks cautiously around the ship-for deathrays and whatever else. "Appreciate your willingness to give me a gander at the likes of this, Mister McCain. Got a curiosity to me, suppose I'm flawed in that way." Another glance around. "Just the light set, thank you. And make it a point never to drink nothing while I'm talking to a salesman." <English>

The younger police officer, Leutrim, comes up following his Captain Baltimore. By the way he's looking around, trying to see -everything- it's obvious that Leu's never actually been on a ship before, most likely. He's real interested in everything, but touches nothing but the railing to ascend the steps to the next level. Once up there, he looks around but stays near to Balt, listening. He doesn't say a thing. <English>

McCain laughs and walks over to the largish locker along one wall of the commons, "Good policy..." and smiles faintly, and opens the locker and pulls out a set of the light Starke armour, and lays it out over the central table, then goes to sit someplace nearby. <English>

McCain taps in the combination of Storage Locker - 13154, and opens its door. McCain removes Starke 'Velites' Bodysuit - 18290 from Storage Locker - 13154. McCain closes the door on Storage Locker - 13154. McCain drops Starke 'Velites' Bodysuit - 18290.

Balt tries not to pay attention to the fact that a) Morgan is following him like a security guard and that b) Morgan is toting a space age super-rifle on his back. "You mind if I ask who's producing the lot of these? Looks as if you got one patent and Winchester Arms got another one, so guessing the neither of you be the one inventing this?" He leans down to look at the armor as he talks. <English>

Starke 'Velites' Bodysuit - 18290 Velites, the light infantry of the Roman Legions. This armour is manufactured by Starke Heavy Industries, and was created originally for their internal security personel. It was so popular that Starke refined the design for public use. The Velites bodysuit is just that, a soft, one size fits all, body suit that protects the wearer from toes to neck, and includes a set of matching gloves. The body suit is a spidersilk analog, that absorbs a percentage of an attack's energy, while it's primary defense are the closely fitted, and segmented scaled ballistic plates attached over the outside of the suit. With the addition of an aftermarket riot helmet, this armour provides excellent, concealable protection.

Damage Threshold: 7 Protection Rating: 40%

McCain shakes his head, "I've got a set of Impax armour myself, a couple of sets in fact...Impax Defense Tech manufactures Winchester's gear, and the stuff I'm carrying is by Starke Heavy Industries...There are lots of folk who make military hardware, I just managed to negotiate a good deal with Starke. Impax is a bigger company, so they went with a noble, I guess." <English>

McCain bringing out the armour gains Leutrim's attention and for the moment, he watches the two Captains hanlding and discussing it. Baltitmore speaking of Morgan though makes Leu glance at that man a second time. He still says nothing, content to watch and listen. <English>

"Mighty fine thing, this. Hope is I can talk the higher ups into buying a suit or two for the department. Prefer to spend their money rather then my own, if I can. Likewise, suspect their money's the only one that could cover a thing fine as this." Balt lifts a sleeve to gauge the weight. He straightens then. "Can't say I rightly ever heard of Starke Industries myself. They new to the market?" <English>

Yeah, cause sure as hell Leutrim couldn't afford such things. So... his pale eyes slip from the fancy doodads to just looking around the Commons area of the ship. Looks comfortable enough for being inside and not outside. <English>

McCain chuckles "I understand they were primarily a restricted access manufacturer, but they've been around for a long time, as long as I've been keeping track of such things." He shrugs, "They sold to the military and to various military contractors." He looks between the two of you, "It's nice armour, designed for concealability...Runs about fifteen hundred credits." <English>

Another glance down and over the helmet. With two fingers he rubs between the lining of the outer shell of the suit, gauging it's thickness. "So you're saying a fella could slip this on under a suit same as mesh armor?" He nods thoughtfully at this idea, then steps back from the table. "Well, appreciate the opportunity of the looking, sir. Ought to let you get back out to your gala." <English>

McCain chuckles "I'm saying you could wear it under your clothes..." and taps on the his forearm, a hard sounding contact, "There are several types of armour that'll go under your street clothes, that just happens to be the cheapest that I know of, for the protection it affords." <English>

For a moment, Leutrim was looking off at some bookshelves he can see across the way there. But hearing McCains's voice, he turns his head back and looks at the suit of armor again. Almost he looks like he might say something, but he doesn't. A glance to Baltimore as the Captain asks a question, then seems about ready to go. Back to McCain, Leu smiles a little, "Yes, thank you for allowing us aboard, sir." <English>

Balt cocks an eyebrow. "Didn't know of more than mesh and this for wearing under your clothes like a union suit." The rap on the suit reverberates in the ship's room. "But Leu's right, have to be on our way, I'm afraid. Again, appreciate the hospitality of both BBQ and ship." He bows to McCain. <English>
