Description
The MING YUNN is the only Long Range Shuttle entered in the Ship Show contest, but what it lacks in size and majesty, it makes up for with a kiloton of pizzazz. Normally it has a rounded, organic shape like a lady-bug, tapering at both ends to a relatively fine point, with the tri-windowed navigational station sitting a little higher than the cargo/crew area, and the tail-end curving upwards to reveal the rear loading ramp. At full extension, the wing fins jut ten feet out from the top portion of the shuttle, and are capable of levering to sixty degree angles for ease of docking with various ship types. Set under the right wing, the passenger hatchway seals tight. Ultimately, the shuttle has a well-used, battered, adventuresome feel to it, even though countless hours have been devoted to hammering and patching the old panels back into shape, and lovingly scraped all the space barnacles off the hull.
Recently, some crazyman has done something rather outrageous, and mounted inexplicably busty wheel wells to the front of the shuttle, all the more surreal since the Yunn doesn't seem to HAVE any wheels. Perched on the crest of each is a huge round headlamp, beveled glass ready to glare white from within. The scorched grey hull has been repainted a glossy Candy Apple Red all over, and has been waxed and buffed it until it gleams rather dangerously slick, with additional CHUTZPAH in the form of stylized white lightning bolts detailed boldly along the sides. And if the words "Greased Lightning" splashed across its hindquarters don't say awesome, then the funky music piping out of the Yunn's external speaker system will definitely blow spectators away.
