Brandy is dressed right casual as she comes up from below, soon followed by a large man, "Ah, good morning, Doc Black. This is Jimmy.. Umm, Mr. Raynor." She offers politely, "Mr. Raynor, this is a our doctor, Kiera Black. Why don't you to take a moment to speak? I should not take long, but I have a bit of moving about to do."" <English> Looking up from the manual as the captain comes up the stairs, followed by a tall figure of a man, Kiera nods acknowledgement to Brandy and then turns her attention to the man behind her. "Pleased to meet you ... Mr. Raynor. Do I understand that you are to join us on board the Valiant?" she asks. <English>

Jimmy slides down into a seat and smiles. "Jimmy, please. And the Captain seems to think so, yes Ms Black.." <English>

Brandy leaves the two so speak a moment as she does some work to pay the bills. <English> Brandy goes aft through the hatch leading to the engineering bay.

Kiera returns the smile as she responds, "Jimmy then, .. in which case I answer to Kiera or Doc. And what brings you to join our Valiant Lady, simply providence ... or did you already know the captain?" <English>

Raynor shifts slightly on his seat as he looks to you with a small smile and a glance. "Well I was looking around on the Cortex, and found the posting. So I suppose it's providence rather than anythin more." <English>

Kiera nods and considers Raynor, "Hmmm, .. if I were to guess I'd not place you as a doctor or nurse, and you don't have the almost obligatory layers of grease of an engineer, ... so would I be wrong in supposing that you'd be signing on as security?" <English>

Raynor nods with a chuckle. "That I am M'aam." <English>

Brandy arrives from Valiant - Cargo Bay. Finished with her immediate tasks, Brandy returns to the room and grabs a cup of coffee before settling down at the table, "So, how's the chat going?" She asks in her welcoming accent. <English>

When the captain returns, Kiera and Raynor are both sitting at the table and the lack of an awkward silence indicates that the two have been talking, at least somewhat.

Turning to Brandy, Kiera responds, "We'd just gotten to discussing that Raynor looks to be joining us as security ..." <English>

Brandy nods her head a little bit as she lifts the cup to her lips for a testing sip. "Yes, I will have to get him with Bradley when he wakes up. That and stick a postit note on Ikarys head so he doesn't draw his gun." <English>

Kiera laughs enjoying the reference to Ikarys's forgetfulness. She drinks a bit more coffee as she looks at Brandy and asks, "Actually Capt'n, there was something else that I was wanting to discuss with you. I found mention of an old trade route running through Persephone, Ezra, Ita Moon, Osiris, and back to Persephone and I was thinking of checking as to whether it's profitable enough for us to consider, however I'd need your help on the comparison." <English>

Raynor sits back and lets the pair talk with a small half smile on his lips, listening quietly for the time being <English>

"Ita Moon is a radioactive wasteland, Doc. Forbidden landing by order of the Alliance, whom I am pretty sure has a battle ship in orbit of the dying world." Brandy states calmly as she leans back in her chair and takes a more healthy swig of her coffee. "I appreciate your looking out for trade routes though." <English>

Kiera smiles, slightly embarrassedly, "I guess it was a very old trade route then" <English>

Raynor chuckles. "Not so old. Last I heard, it only got ashed a couple months back." <English>

Kiera nods and replies, "Well, I'll keep my ears open and see if I can't find something better" "However, ...", she stands up, "I need to grab a few hours’ sleep, so I'll see you .. both? ... in the morning. Night" <English>

Brandy shakes her head a little bit, "It was a decent try, Doc. And I am sure there will be workable ones around that region. "Rest well." she says and watches the woman leave before focusing again on Raynor. <English>

Raynor nods to Kiara as she leaves and then looks to Brandy. "So;s Captain... you got any food round here? <English>

Kiera quietly walks to the port side hallway and disappears into the corridor <English>
