The Inferno is a Osprey class ship currently under the direction and owned by Murl & Sigrid. The Inferno is part of the Tienlong fleet.

Description

What you see is a new Osprey Class Mid-Bulk transport. This sleek craft is larger than a Firefly by quite a bit, but the older design historically has less internal capacity than the more common Firefly class. The primary hull is reinforced by twin dorsal spines that run the length of the craft and extend far to the aft to form a pair of tail booms that improve the atmospheric maneuverability. The maneuvering surfaces on the tail booms and the thrusters have been painted with a real flame effect as if on fire. Gimbal mounted reaction thrusters are attached to the hull amidships, outboard of the dorsal spines. The thrusters are in a lowered position to keep the ships center of gravity low while landed. The cockpit extends off the upper deck forward of the primary hull with a unique down facing canopy.

Overall a sleek and efficient design that has just come back into production. The name Inferno is on the outside of each boom and just above the viewport of the bridge.

History

The ‘Inferno’ was purchased by Murl Braxton and Sigrid Anthony Dec 17, 2522. They actually managed to find a new one. It is a good fast mid-sized cargo carrier but Murl is a fiend for speed. It won’t be long till she is off to the shipyards getting upgraded for speed and maneuverability to begin with.

Sigrid could not/would not marry until she or her future husband owned a good ship. Once 'Inferno' is outfitted and crewed it will be off into the black to find her family’s fleet to show off the fiancé and ship and soon afterwards the wedding bells will probably be ringing.

Murl and Sigrid are planning to stay with the Tienlong Org. They have made good and trusted friends and the group has become like family itself. It will be nice to have the backup of Anastasiya’s fleet as well.
