An iconic weapon of the old west of Earth-that-was, the Henry rifle is easily recognizable. The brass receiver and lever, the polished walnut stock, even the octagon barrel all bring to mind cowboy action vids. Even the long polished brass tube of an early scope add to the authenticity of the weapon's appearance. Engraved into the brass is ornate scrollwork, roses and thorny vines wrapping around an elegant calligraphy script spelling 'Helena May'. Even the wood of the stock has a laquered finish that would appear to be an inch thick, adding to the beauty of the rifle. A well-oiled leather sling goes from the stock to the barrel, hooked on the magazine tube. Hanging from the sling are a pair of eagle feathers.

Of course, this is the 26th century, and looks are often deceiving. While the weapon appears like an antiquated buffalo rifle, under the polished brass and wood veneer hides a pure new-tech design. Hydraulic buffers concealed in the stock reduce the recoil from the massive .585 Nyati round that it's chambered for. The long cylindrical scope contains both passive nightvision and thermal capabilities along with a massive 32x adjustable zoom feature and built in range finder. Ceramic polymers and modern alloys provide a near worry-free function under even the most brutal of environments and conditions.
