Ghosts of the Black Bar

Coming into this room, it takes a few moments for most eyes to adjust to the dimness in here. Looking to the left, one would find a wall to wall highly polished wood bar with a decently dressed man tending to the patrons orders as fast as he can. A name tag identifying him as Willy is worn on the left breast of his shirt. In front of each stool can be found a small menu card listing drinks and prices as well as food that can be ordered from the station restaurant to be delivered here.

Along the opposite wall, shown clearly in the wall to wall mirror behind the bar, are photos of ships and crews that have either graced this establishment at one time or another, or are known to the owner. Or have been lost in the Black. The latter all have a small shelf under them for the placement of candles and drinks in their memories. Interspaced among the pictures are patches and plaques from units or ships who fought on both sides of the war. These also have shelves under them, for a comrade in arms to light a candle in memory of the fallen.

Throughout the room are spread tables, both out in the open and hidden along the walls for privacy. Kitty corner from the main entrance, is a large stage where a house band sometimes plays. On the back wall can be spotted a small doorway, where every so often the sounds of cheering and flesh hitting flesh can be heard.

FIGHTING PIT

Entering from the main bar area, a huge fighting pit dominates the room. It is done up like a boxing ring, with the four posts and the ropes running all around it. There are steps leading up for people to enter into it. All around it are chairs and bleachers for spectators as they watch and root for their favored fighter. On certain nights, though, the ring is removed and the huge pit dug into the floor is revealed, filled with whatever substance had been requested most for that night. It's a special treat that is offered for a small fee of 200d to watch.
