Fool's Errand, Osprey Class Mid-Bulk Transport. This sleek craft is larger than a Firefly by quite a bit, but the older design historically has less internal capacity than the more common Firefly class. It's simple, two deck design features a main lower cargo bay, and an upper deck which comprises most of the living and crew spaces. The primary hull is reinforced by twin dorsal spines that run the length of the craft and extend far to the aft to form a pair of tail booms that improve the atmospheric maneuverability. Gimbal mounted reaction thrusters are attached to the hull amidships, outboard of the dorsal spines. The cockpit extends off the upper deck forward of the primary hull with a unique down facing canopy.

This ship is old, and even the meticulous care taken of it cannot hide that. The hull is patched and replaced in places, which makes the polished metal slightly uneven. You can see spots where the hull has been patched and ground smooth, as well as where things have been added or removed. It's impossible to tell the age of the ship, but if you know anything about spacecraft, you'd know that it's been out of production for nearly fifteen years, so must be much older than that. On both side of the hull aft of the cockpit is a a meticulously painted tarot card of The Fool, with the legend 'Fool's Errand' in script orver the top and bottom of the card.

The Fool's Errand was destroyed when a Reaver Hornet's reactor blew out and broke her back. The crew escaped in the shuttle, and used the Trebuchet Battlecruiser they had been working to salvage, to escape. The crew was divided, and Mack eventually decided to give up the Battlecruiser when the primary and secondary power couplings blew out, grounding them on St. Albans. Contacting the Gypsies, they traded the disabled cruiser for a Scarab class cargo ship that was more their size, and considerably less illegal.
