There's still a lot of work being done on this house, it looks very much not like it did to start with...but the sound of hammers and saws and grunts is only background noise to the dark green runner from the entrance to the backdoor, encouraging people to walk carefully along the 'path'. There are a few groomsmen as usual, attractive...muscular women in groomsmen outfits and a few wolf-men wandering around to take coats or hats and offer drinks and snacks. Another day, another week, another episode of Camp Once Upon a Time.

When people make their way to the back yard however, there are six tables set up as usual, each one with tools and pieces of wood, paint and other decorations for people to use. Witchy Clover sits on a purple little throne, petting her monkey and idly sucking on a purple lollypop as she watches the door and waits for the Princes.

Emerald walks in all decked out just like last time, a slight strut to her walk as she follows the path waving off the groomsmen with a soft smile. She takes a look at the tables and then look to miss clover. She'll stand and wait with her hands folded behind her back, waiting for the other princes and directions.

Moira learned her lesson about the luggage the last time, and has skipped it this time. However, it seems as if she just can't quite shake her girly habits. When the letters the women received said to arrive in robes, her mind went to days at the spa, not coronations. So when she hands her warm cloak to the groomswoman and toes off her winter boots she's standing bare-footed in a robe of soft cashmere, arm in arm with her sister Companion, Sybella. Seems the two have shared a shuttle from House Daska to arrive together once more for the second round of competition after their teamwork worked so well for the pair the first time through.

Sybella enters with Moira, and this time, she's wearing a elaborate robe along with her previous outfit. And yes, she got new boots after last weeks disaster. And...a new crown. The hand crafted tunic still sparkles in the light, when it hits the many jewels embedded into it. The silver cloak trimmed in red fox fur (faux, faux!) shifts when she walks and flutters behind her, the rubies in the breastplate also catch the light now. Those rubies are part of the flowers upon the breastplate and shoulders -Red Hot Pokers....so it's obvious what flower princess she supports. Arm in arm with her sister, her bright smile carries upon her face as she waves to Emerald. her oceanic eyes scan the area and then her eyes fall onto miss clover, whom she merely grins at and gives a tiny smirk.

Babbage walks in. She looks around the tables and after a moment, settles on one to sit at. Then she glances over at Clover, waiting for instructions from her.

Each Prince enters and the wicked witch cackles softly as she tilts her head back and crosses her legs, lashes fluttering and expression bemused for some reason as she looks each Prince over. "Oh my, all dressed up to attend the ball but...low and behold...there is an issue, you've come to meet your Princess haven't you?" Clover smirks gently and carefully gets to her feet, giving a little shimmy. "Now my brave brave princes, you've saved your Princesses from getting poisoned but...I've turned them all into tiny little birdies! Oh no!" The sound of tiny birds fills the air and she points to the tables. "So! You've got to build them somewhere to sleep."

Emerald blinks at Miss Clover as she announces that the princesses have been turned into birds. She shakes her head and moves to a table and looks down at all the tools with a soft smile. "Birdhouses?" She runs a hand over a hammer gently, "Very well, my underwater beauty who has turned into a bird will have the most beautiful of beds to sleep in."

Moira is much to short to be a giant, and yet her soul flutters just a little as she hears Miss Clover speak of birdhouses. She watches the birds flit overhead and simply rolls her eyes before she gives Sybella's arm a squeeze. She looks at her friend, then at a few of the men, then at the tools as she gives a shrug. They know how to tie knots, and if nothing else they're crafty and artistic. Surely they'll come up with something. "Aw hell, Sy... It's Rapunzel... Birds make nests out of hair all the time, right? And didn't you have Snow White? Surely we can con one of your seven men into helping us out if we try? Come on, love. Let's do this."

Sybella looks to the table, then to Miss clover and back to the table. Lifting a gloved hand she scratches her head and glances to Moira with a simple, knowing expression and then goes back to looking at the table. "I have the Princess and the pea..." She pauses as she tells Moira that and then grins. "True, true on the hair. We can do it somehow. Let's do this is right." She nods and thinks some more. "Well..matresses...feathers..." She looks up at the birds and closes her eyes. "Oh they are going to be -so- pissed at me for this."

Babbage points an accusing finger at Clover. "Now that's just evil, you wicked old witch." She picks up the tools and begins planning her birdhouse. Although she's not a woodworker by trade, she's confident she can figure it out.

"Tick, tock, tick tock...c'mon now my charming fellows...get to building those comfy mini castles for your birdie princesses." Miss Clover drawls and for some reason slips a small white and sparkly PDA from out of her pocket, tapping something on to it and looking innocent as can be as she watches the Princes get to work.

Emerald smiles as she starts picking up some wood and piecing them together, cutting and shaping like a pro. Eventually she takes off her crown since it keeps slipping forward and getting in the way. She is biting her bottom lip gently as she makes in fact and miniature version of a castle with multiple levels and spires. Now for the paint, swift brush strokes not so artful but enough to get the point across. The castle is done primarrily in blue with lighter blues circles that are supposed to be bubbles. When the paint dries she looks up to the birds and gives out a series of bird calls, which sends some of the birds off to collect nesting materials. With the birds busy making the nest, she smiles over her castle birdhouse. She holds a hand out and a little bird lands on her hand with a stick in it's beak. She accepts the stick and sets the bird back to flying. Out of her pocket comes a hanky. *rip* a small triangle is torn off the hanky and attached to the stick and carefully placed in a small hole on one spire. Now it's a true castle.

Moira snickers as her friend corrects her memory, her eyes sparkling as the pair make their way to the table. "Well, at least that means we don't have to worry about getting yours perfect. Your little birdy can sleep through anything!" The first thing she does is look over the tools as she tries to figure out what most of them are. She thinks she recognizes most of them, and she can spot the one wolfie who gave her a piggyback ride the last time eying her from far, far, across the room. So she holds up a few bits of hardware in pairs as he nods or shakes his head to let her know which does or doesn't work together until she knows what will work to install which tabs a's into what slots b's. She winks to let him know there might be thanks for that later, but knowing her, it's probably just a tease. Eventually, she's got enough pieces sorted out that she and Sybella can start to piece things together on their own, but she's a bit behind at this point, so she lets Sybella start working ahead on Ms. Pea's things as she starts to concentrate on her own. Finally, she has something put together that will suffice as a home, she's even managed to attach some rope along the center of the roof to hang down over both sides of it, looking like curly locks of hair. This artistic touch has lost her some time, but at least her attention to feminine beauty and detail looks wonderful. "Perfection. A castle from which any Rapunzel would never wish to climb down." She holds it up for her birdie to admire, a hopeful look in her eye as she waits to see if her princess will find her offering worthy or not.

Sybella Listens to the instructions and takes a deep breath closing her eyes. Within a few moments she begins singing in a nigh pitched tone...but not an annoying one and it's not very loud either. While she does this, she glances at Moira and grins, winking towards her and begins work crafting the mini castle. Hers shall be big enough to fits a bed with several mattresses stacked inside of it. With the same elegance and grace as always, she shows that she also has skills to build things as the castley birdhouse begins to come to life. "Mo, I shall sing them to us and we convince them to bring us what you need and then to bring us dropped feathers. My princess needs lots of mattresses." It's handy to have the gloves, because they come off of her hands and are ready to be put to use. Carefully she begins to craft tiny sacks for the mattresses-20 of them to be exact. Soon, the birdies have come and she's been able to persuade them through her music to bring her some dropped feathers and other things. She takes the feathers to make the mattresses complete and stacks them one atop the other. Then, the paint. A pink castle, with silvery accents and the bed itself is painted a very light green. She then steps back and smiles at her sister, winking and then looks to Emerald. Giving her a smile too. To her princess she offers the castle.

Babbage starts by building a tall, rectangular structure. Nothing too fancy, but it seems structurally sound. Then she gets the paints, and things turn fun. A coat of blue, a few black squares that look like windows, and the finishing touch: with a fine brush, she writes the words 'police public call box' over the entrance.

Jade would enter the area, scratching the back of her head as her steel amethyst eyes scanned the back yard for this next challenge. She would walk down the green path where the material for building something are, as well as the tools. "Hmm?" She would as quietly, looking around at the others. "How strange..." She would comment, looking around for some type of instruction. Once she understood, she would start to build this bird house. Measuring and cutting, gluing and hammering until the house took the shape of a skull. The mouth was a hole for the bird to enter and she would smile at her work, even though the aesthetics were a little rough, but still well rounded. She was not the best artist, but she didn't fail art class either.

Of course, with most competitions and cortex broadcasts, there is a time lapse. All the singing and hammering and painting and all, and it does take quite a bit of time, an hour or perhaps even longer but ultimately...Witch Clover just tours around, looking at people and sometimes stopping to ask what their doing before continuing on her way to the next table. As they get their finished products and the little birds do find their homes, there are people who come out to help them...prepared to help them actually hang them from posts that are tree-like in height. "Now now now....you're all very clever aren't you?" Clover drawls softly, making another circle around them all before tilting her head to the side. "You can all start singing now, you have to come up with a song of course....no longer than 4 lines, a song to sing to your princess to sooth them as all Princes do. Woo your princess my brave handymen, woo!"

Emerald is getting wet and doesn't seem to care but what she does wince at is the fact she has to sing. Oh gods, she has to sing? she murmurs in gaelic and then starts singing... if you can call it singing. She sounds like a cat in a blender as she sings and even covers her own ears to not hear the awfulness she's putting everyone through. "Oh lovely princess, fair and sweet. I would sweep ya off yer feet. Though ya have a tail, yer still my mornin' ale. Please don't garrot me for my horrible voice, for the loveliest of all things cannot compare ta yer face." She is at a lose on how to rhyme the last part and looks a little confused and as if she were making things up as she goes.

Moira laughs at Miss Clover's instructions, happy to hear a task that she's confident she can perform. Tools and carpentry, oh please, not her way to be able to handle. However, singing, she can easily do. Unfortunately, just as she opens her mouth to sing, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel let do--" The rest of her four lines of song are cut off with a choke that sounds painful, as is evidenced by the tears that fill her stormy eyes as she chokes upon the mouthful of water that she inhales as the sprinklers erupt around her. She leaps into the air, despite her lack of height her years of classical ballet make it easy for her to reach the bird house low in the branches above her as she tugs down her princess to safety. She does what she can to wrap her birdhouse within her robe, but there isn't much extra fabric with which to cover it, and it's already started to cling to her skin from the water. With her birdy Rapunzel as protected from the sprinklers as she can get her, Moira finally does what she can to see about spotting a way to turn off the blasted sprinklers before her cashmere robe turns any more see-though than it already has become. The last thing she needs is to be sent out via the cortex to the entire 'verse to be viewed by all the world in her lace skivvies. Won't House Daska be proud.

Jade would frown now as the water was turned on and her hair started to get damp. She would look and find the sprinklers, shaking her head, she would ignore the issue of being wet, not that she cared She was conditioned to ignore things like this However she would take off her Haori to cover her skull birdhouse. Uht oh, singing, no this wasn't good. Jade was good at a lot of things... except making music. "Well." She would let out a croaking first note which would lead her to clearing her throat. "Excuse me..." She would pause and start again in a dreadful soprano, husky and croaking, "Come here dear princess. Snow white you are my charge. I will let nothing hurt you. Please rest assured." Hell... that had no rhythm or rhyme to it. Safe to say, this warrior women was embarrassed.

Sybella simply beams at the instructions and starts to think quickly. But then...the rain begins. The Companion shrieks and holds her arms out, her mouth agape and eyes blinking as her brain tries to work. Good thing about this is, the capes..they are here and will be use. With quick thinking she grabs the cape and pulls it up over her head, the crown coming off and being used to hold it over her head. Then there is a riiip as part of it is torn off...she'll fix it later. Scurrying over to her birdhouse and she glances to Emerald "Aye, no joke." is muttered back as she grabs a staplegun from the table. And then, she starts to sing while stapling the material to the inside walls and floors of the birdhouse since the water is coming from the ground and sides. "Dear princess, my love, no need to fret. Your Prince is here and ye shall not get wet. Your heart will never break, for I keep it with mine, and shall do so until the end of time. You can sleep safe now, knowing that I am here. No need to fly away anymore, for you are safe my dear." Her voice is melodic and sweet, near like a bird singing herself as she finishes and steps back and looks to Moira. "Oh...sister" She shakes her head and tries not to laugh. Her hand is lended as she takes off her cape and gives it to Moira...her tunic will protect her own undergarments, or lack thereof, to be shown on the cortex but they've already become known as the Companions of Comedy...why let down their followers now!

Music isn't Babbage's strongest area, but dammit, she's gonna try. With no real pitch and something that could /almost/ be described as rhythm, she sings, "The little blue box, some call her sexy / She'll take you where you need to go" When the rain starts, she wraps her arms around herself to keep warm. "She's bigger on the inside, so, / come to the little blue box, sleeping beauty!"

There are times, when being half-deaf can be a benefit. Miss Clover aka the Wicked Witch stands quite protected, holding an umbrella over her head and wearing a purple raincoat as her monkey sits on her shoulder and she just stares at the Princes as they serenade their princesses and there a pause before she blinks again and taps some information into her little PDA, eyebrows raising. "And so it was...the Princes stayed all night long with their Princesses, protecting them from the storm around them...and singing them sweet sweet lullabies so that they could sleep. Because even though feathered and tiny with beaks and wings, they could all appreciate hearing their...handsome protectors sing." She sing-songs before taking a deep breath then she blows towards the Princes.

Low and behold, the rain does die down, leaving the princes all wet and such but atleast the houses are safe until the wind in the backyard seems to be picking up, it gets stronger and stronger and then massive gusts of wind whip through the backyard, even turning over a few tables thanks to some bigass fans. "Oh look. Hurricanes...so lovely."

Emerald grabs her crown quickly and loops it through her belt so as not to loose it. The wind picks up and chairs and tables start to move. Utter chaos! When she notices her birdhouse starts to flop and move in the wind she endeavors to protect her princess at all costs even if it means getting hit by a chair or something. She dodges flying furniture and there was on near miss from a paint can that could have been very bad for her coloring. Low and behold she gets to her princesses castle and holds onto the tree for dear life and grabs the castle in her other arm and cradles it to protect it from damaging winds and or furniture.

Moira clutches her birdhouse tightly to her chest, and then wraps Sybella's cloak around both herself and the house. The sash of the kingly cloak is long enough to tie the garment securely as well as hold the wooden house, leaving her hands free, which is good, because with gale force winds she needs her arms for the balance. She pirouettes and arabesques her way through the chairs and other debris that go flying through, keeping her birdhouse and the princess tucked inside safe from the sudden storm. She keeps an eye out for Sybella, making sure that her sister Companion is faring well and hasn't been hit by anything worrisome in the storm as well. Seeing nothing too concerning, she just focuses for now on her own path through the yard, calling out now and again that she's doing OK so that her friend won't have to worry.

Jade would grab her Haori once the raining stopped, moving over to grab her bird house from it's perch just as the fans kicked on. She would hold on to her princesses home and face the source of the wind directly, her long waist length raven black hair whipping around along with her white Haori. Her body though, was unmoving as she stood there starring down the fans. "Thanks for the Quick dry Clove... Frost Punches harder." She would shout, jutting out of the way of a chair that came flying her way. "Nice try."

Immediately turning, Sybella grabs her birdhouse and snatches the rope it was hanging from. That will be put to us in a bit. However, for now she looks around and dodges a flying hammer that smacks itself into a tree with the claw end sticking into it. The house id held protectively in her arms and against her chest as she leaps over a wolfman who didn't quite grab onto something in time. Her leap turns more into a dance move and then she puts that rope to use. One end is tied through a loop in her armor and her eyes search for a thin tree. Perfect! She spots one and dodges a chair , a few pieces of wood and...was that a bag of monkey treats? No matter , the companion makes it to the tree and makes quick work of wrapping the rope around it, face first against it, and then ties it to the other end. Her princess is safe, between her and the tree. We can not say as much for her hair or all that platinum pain that has now made a nice trails along the ground and her tights. Her sisters calls are heard and a relaxed smile comes, even as she blinks away the now drying paint from her eyes. "I'm good, darling! You got this!" Seems as with those two, it will always be one worried about and/or helping the other.

As a piece of debris start flying, Babbage quickly ducks out of the way. Her birdhouse looks like it's about to get picked up in the wind, but she stands her ground and holds it in place with one hand.

"Oh! Well, Prince Iron sure is a cheeky little bugger isn't he! But they all work together and look out for each other...its so sweet it's almost sickening! We have Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Pea, Rapunzel and Snow White, all little birdies and their princes working so hard to protect them come rain, come wind..." Clover giggles and has secured herself to a post, pushing a button as the wind does eventually die down. "But I wonder...will they be able to stop the scary looking trolls who have come to take their birdies away?"

Then they come, holographic projections rolling in on little carts that are covered with pillows to create troll like creatures with googly eyes and they roll into the area, heading for the Princes with sound affects like: RAAAR and HAHAHA.

That's when a bit of fairy tale is slipped into things, there are tables painted like rocks rolled in by wolf-men and on each table is a bow with a quiver of arrows and then a sword. Along with a small note: Dear Prince, Please Beat its ass. I am so very tired of birdseed.

Miss Clover just laughs softly. "Well maybe if you're tough and convincing enough they'll let you pass...have at it boys!"

Trolls? Emma grins as she looks at the weapons, securing the bird house under her arm and picking up the sword. Now this is something that she is good at. She twirls the sword once and growls fiercely, "Come get me big boy, I've got a nice shiny to shove in yer gut." She launches into battle with a battle cry. Her sword pierces the pillows and sends stuffing and feathers flying. She gives a look to the troll that should have chilled blood but with her large eyes and the soakedness of her hair and clothes she just more or less looks pitiful.

Moira heads for the bows and arrows, though takes a unique approach to the shooting. Instead of picking up the bow, she simply reaches for a handful of arrows and then snaps them in half. They aren't quite as perfectly balanced as she'd like them to be, but after throwing one or two as a test of their weight and aim, she has the hang of them. The arrow-darts fly true as she throws them from her nimble fingers towards the projections until it decides it's hurt enough to want to maybe start listening to reason. Once the holographic attacks die down a little the soft metal Princ(ess) wraps her borrowed cloak a little more tightly around herself and her birdhouse, trying not to shiver as the damp chill starts to soak a little deeper into her skin. She's honestly looking a little pathetic and bedraggled at this point, which probably goes a long way towards helping her to sweet-talk her way past whomever is controlling the holographic image as she pleads her case as to why she and the birdie should be allowed to continue along on their perilous journey towards happily ever after.

Sybella unties herself from the tree, and ties the birdhouse to herself instead. Slowly she approaches the table, trying not to giggle at the scary, scary trolls. "Stay away from my Princess! You...feather filled pillowhead!" With a cry of victory, Sybella charges at the troll with the sword in hand and her other holding her princess to her. Slash, slash! A googly eyes flies here and one over towards Miss Clover and feathers fill the air. Yet, it's merely a flesh wound, it appears, as the troll continues to charge and all Sybella can do is slash again at it and run past it. "Run Away! Run Away!" And that she does, and she /totally/ runs like a girl with a troll chasing her and a birdhouse strapped to her chest. order

Babbage takes a sword and swings it hard at one of the trolls. She misses, and by a wide margin, too. Instead, she'll have to use her persuasive skills. "Listen troll-boy," she says with a warm smile, "My birdy is a friend, not food. There are tons of leaves and stuff to eat, and it's good for you too! Troll chicks /love/ a vegetarian troll-boy."

Jade would eye the coming troll with a deadly stare as she put her bird house down behind her. She would step forward, putting her left hand on the sheath of her katana, it's thumb pushing up on the Tsuba to unlock the blade from it's saya. As soon as the troll was close enough, she would draw and slash across it's mid section before sheathing the bade once more. It was so fast, almost like lighting that only a trained eyes could have seen the move. In all theory, the troll should be discombobulated. "Leave now Troll, or your head will be mine too." She says in a dark voice.

"You have done it my lovely princes!" Clover applauds before just cackling as Emerald's troll actually tries to run into her/run her over and then Sybella successfully runs away from her troll. Feathers fly, people are being brave, trolls are being destroyed...except Prince Platinum's troll just stops abruptly and powers down. Prince Copper's troll is in a stand off with the Prince and the others...well they are given towels and cups of hot chocolate by wolf-men.

Emerald growls as her troll keeps coming at her, well it's time for brute strength. She tosses her sword down on the ground and crouches down. A hand slips under the troll and lifts. In one great feat of strength, she puts all she has in lifting the troll and sending it flying. No way is a troll going to get the better of her.

Moira clinks her mug of hot chocolate against Sybella's in celebration as she sits her birdhouse aside and then snuggles up with her under the faux fur trimmed cloak that had originally belonged to the taller woman in the first place to warm back up now that this next round of competition is over. She watches to see how Emerald fares with this last bit of the challenge as she takes a big sip of the hot chocolatey drink, raising it to the coppery prince with a loud, "Huzzah!", as the troll is vanquished through the air with the greatest of ease. She leans her head against Sybella's shoulder and rolls her eyes as she mutters beneath her breath to her friend, "I thought the first round of this thing was rough, but good Lord, this round was for the birds!"

Jade would glance over at the Companion, Moira, "Well, the singing was rather embarrassing, at least for myself. I have a terrible signing voice." She would sigh, finding a place to put down her Birdhouse so it would be safe for the time being.

Sybella grins as she falls next to Moira, watching her troll fall over and spit forth sparks of defeat. The birdhouse is unstrapped, placed carefully on the ground as she snuggles up with her sister Companion to watch Emerald finish off her troll. "Nicely done, chap!" She also lifts her mug after clanking it with Moiras and leans her head back, giving a little chuckle. "IT certainly got my feathers ruffled!" Puns are flying everywhere as Sybella steals a glance at the other Companion, giving her a once over for certain signs of exhaustion and then looks to Jade. "It wasn't so bad. I love to sing and trust me when I say, I have heard worse."

And there it is...the trolls are defeated, the birds are saved and the Princes are welcomed by Miss Clover as Prince Copper's troll goes flying. A simple hologram flickers on each of the abandoned and turned over tables. The Little Mermaid gives a flick of her tail as she's changed from holographic birdie to a mermaid and then holds her hands up as if trapped in a tank. "Y-you did it...Prince Copper, oh I wish you were here...you'll get here one day and I'll be saved for sure." Rapunzel's birdie in the hologram flickers back into a girl with a lot of hair, waving and smiling. "Prince Cesium! I'm waiting for you my brave prince!" And she waves a comb. The Princess and the Pea is flickering from bird in the hologram and then falling...and falling...until hitting a mattress, landing with a 'oof' and a smile. "Oh, one day my Prince Platinum will come for me...he works so hard on his quest to save me." And then Snow White's birdie is back to Snow White, toying with an apple and smiling shyly. "Prince Iron, so manly and strong...I'm waaaaiting..."Then Sleeping Beauty Birdie flickers and flutters before lifting off of a mattress and yawning. "I'll be morning soon Prince Mercury...I wait in my dreams." And then falls back asleep.

Then they all flicker to the familiar screen: 'Second Task Done, you've completed your second challenge, congratulations Prince _______(whatever their metal is)' Good job, Princes. Your Quest continues...now your challenge is ahead of you. You must have the support of your kingdom? How many loyal subjects can you get before we meet again....

Moira laughs as the women all talk about their songs, blushing as she recalls how she choked at that point in the conversation, literally! Not to mention her utter wardrobe malfunction. What kind of a pervert assigns a woman sheer whites and greys as their costumery and then sets off a sprinkler system on live TV with the entire 'verse watching? She shakes her head and wraps the borrowed cloak tighter around her shoulders, not even daring to think about what next week is going to have in store for her as she tries to figure out what in the world she's going to do about a commercial. She guesses she can call in some Alliance favors, but that seems to be in poor taste, all things considered. Right now she needs a hot bath and a nap. She'll worry about the rest of it tomorrow.
