Kyoshiro moves from his seat in the command center over looking some of the soft Targets Jacy has been gathering for them and they've been scouting out. A big hilighted area on the map is where they saw that Nova Mine go off, or at least the general area where they saw it. He picks up the corded mic and presses the option. "Wagon Wheel, Jia Actual. About time... Status?" <English>

Zank voice sounds very tired and strained slightly but its Zank none the less. "Yea sorry bout that...had to patch ourselves up...legion type thought id look better with a extra scar or two." he says "Looks like Legion has set up command posts and check points all over the city. We ended some guarding a post on the northern approch probably been remanned by now. Also what i think was a small barracks and command point..that was your light show" he says the radio crackleing a bit. "Commander there are alot more troops here than it looks like, there hidein everywere and iv heard some vechiles rollin around, no ID on em." he says "We plan on continuin t' keep em off balance." <English>

McGuire stands at the entrance, where he had come in to see how everything is going. He remains silent and just listens. <English>

Kyoshiro nods pressing a few buttons on a keyboard to add the tag for command center where the blast was. "Can you get me locations of all these Command Centers. We're thinking of Establishing a Beachhead in an old Public Works Depo towards the Center of the City. The Battion will work their way in to secure it for Alliance Drop Marines. There's Anti Air all over the place though, that needs to be taken care of." <English>

Zank voice comes back a second later. "The center of the city is where we are seein the heaviest concentration of Legion forces. We havent been able to make it deeper into that part of the city. From what we've seen its heavy fortifications all around...not much more I can give on that." He says "Might think of putting your beach head else ware....its gonna be hell takin that part of the city. Think Dun Kirk from my side of the fight." he says. <English>

McGuire flashes back into very old Earth That Was history to find a referance to Dun Kirk. He keeps his mouth shut. <English>

Kyoshiro places a hand on his chin and considers. "Well if they're everywhere we gota start somewhere. There's an old Industrial sector on the outskirts. Might as well start there and push in. Still need to take down the Anti Air either way so we can keep supplied." He looks to Fao, "What do you think? Either way we'll be fighting building to building clearing them... no way around that." <English>

McGuire says, "That's typical war in this case, but keep in mind the children. They haven't played their hand yet." <English>

Zank voice comes back "yea we can give you data on that part of the city...just be 'careful were' you are shootin..might hit someone ya know." he says. "We havent seen many regualr folk walkin around not sure how many fled the city but i ant seen a soul besides leagion." <English>

"Well we ran into a lot of folks heading towards the Boonies like we are after the initial invasion." Kyoshiro says over the comms, "May be no civies around... or all of them were Legion plants... A year of refugees and imigration to Boros... that's a lot of heads." <English>

McGuire says, "Don't tell Alliance that, they'll send down the nukes." <English>

Zank over hears Fao in the background "Just remind the good Commander in the black that we are down here...not that my life matters to her a great deal but that the powers that be might not be to happy bout looseing one of there best assests..." he says. <English>

"I told her our mutual friend said no more nukes." Kyoshiro says, "She appologizes for the mess, by the way... but you have to admit, it was effective." <English>

Zank laughs and you can almost hear him wince "Gorramit..." he mutters "It was...but contrary to poular belif overkill is not always the best option.." <English>

McGuire nods, "Got back communications, and gave us all this activity data to sust out. First nuke strike that made a diffrence since I can recall. <English> Speaking of said mutual friend -- whilst Zank has been occupied with the radio, Willow has found her way to sneaking out of the building they had holed up in. What she's up to, well... only she knows, for the time being. But for right now, Willow is off on her own. <English>

Zank chuckles "Well...im not sure how long this comm will stay clear but im goin quiet. Ill call if anything major changes...till then..expect to see more fire works." <English>

McGuire only says, "Keep looking up." <English>

"Good luck, Actual out." Kyoshiro says hanging up the conn. "Well looks like we have more information. Just need to finalize plans with Heather." <English>

McGuire nods, "I intend to talk to the kids and see what woke them up and they, perhaps, they went to sleep in the first place. They're not very giving where that is concerned." <English>

"No I wouldn't think so. See what you can find out." Kyoshiro says with a nod. <English>

McGuire nods and walks out of the doorway, back into the ship to do some more inspections on ships systems until he can get with the girls and Amen to see what they are willing to give up information wise. <English>

From a hidey hole that brought her small self nigh into the ceiling of the ship in the room they've been discussing things in, Ten -- the most headstrong of the girls -- gives a quiet little sigh. Then she starts to creep her way out of the panels. Nope! Not spying! Creep, creep, creep. <English>

10 Is far too quiet for Kyoshiro to have noticed her as he walks out along with Fao. <English>

McGuire runs the skimatics of those ducks in his mind and knows where someone small enough to use those ducks will come out. He clears his mind and puts a finger to his lips for Kyo to know he's going quiet. He's gotten better at clearing his mind through the time with the girls. No longer needs the Mares Eat Oats to make his mind a void, clear of all thoughts. Moving to the only possible exit grate in the port hall, he leans against the wall to wait for quiet scuffling knees and hands to arrive. <English>

It doesn't take very long for said scuffling hands and knees to arrive at the duct's exit point. Wriggling her way out, Ten ends up a little scuffed and dusty from the ducting, not that she minds. She didn't, at least, bump the ductwork along the way to make it thump. <English>

McGuire smiles, conferming it was Ten. "Nothing to hide Ten, besides, you can read our minds to learn what you just learned. Now you need a change of clothes and a bath." He says in some what of a humorous tone. He does allow his mind to concider what her activites suggested to him. If she could do it, someone else could. Those ducks need to be looked into. Seven of them in all, but air filteration intakes are needed. He looks directly at her and into her eye's, smile still upon his face, "You have fun?" <English>

Upon seeing Fao there, Ten eyes him, and then she gives a quiet harrumph of sound. "Can. Not supposed to. Not emergency," she clarifies. She tends to be more to the point than the others. Shorter on words. She tilts her head faintly to one side, watching him closely. "For challenge, not for fun... but... amusing. Ducts only accessible from on or near ship. Legion can't benefit," she says, giving a single nod. It seems she understands the predicament, even if she didn't pluck the notion from his mind. "We can't explain everything," she adds, then lifts one of her shoulders in a slight shrug. <English>

McGuire nods, crouching down to be eye level with her. He reaches forward to her and with a gentle finger, flicks some duck bunny off her hair. His tone is calm and even, "That answers my next question." He chuckles slightly and continues, "Your challenge exposed an inner security flaw that needs to be addressed. Thank you for that Ten. Let me know if you find any others." <English>

Zank hangs up the Comm unit and sits down slowly in the chair next to the table were the comm unit rests. He looks over the room and wonders were Willow is. He grunts as he stands up and then walks into the main part of the warehouse. Come to think of it were is Ida and her people. Did they finally have enough and leave? <English>

Ten raises an eyebrow slightly as she listens to him, and she lifts one of her shoulders in a faint shrug. "Amenadiel is Lightbringer. Keeper of Flame. He pulled us back. We 'helped' supply ship come," she says, giving a single nod to him. "Not flaw. Vents necessity. Use lock bolts. Problem solved," she adds, giving another of those single nods. And even a little bit of a smile, too.

Willow slips quietly back into the warehouse. She's more than a little bit dusty, and her red hair has been hidden away beneath a black scarf so that it doesn't stand out. <English>

Kyoshiro makes his way back to where Fao and Ten are, "Wait... you told Kyronis to come here?" He blinks thinking it was Vanessa who had given the man the information. "I don't think anyone other than these girls are going ot be crawling through the ducts... but it's a good hiding place for someone small incase of trouble... or to hide contraband." <English>

McGuire whispers, "Lightbringer, Keeper of Flame." Rising to his feet and says aloud, "Lock bolts, problem solved." with a nod to conferm his statement. He looks at Kyo and agrees, "If, for some reason, the ship gets over run, yes. Good place to hide." Aiming the last part to Ten. <English>

The girl blinks and looks past Fao to Kyoshiro, studying him for a long moment. "We. Not me. Can't reach by self," she says. She's not strong enough to reach that far by herself. She looks to Fao, then tilts her head to one side as he repeats what she said. "Why repeat? Inefficient," she says, her brow furrowing a little bit. Puzzled. "Ship not get overrun. Battle not happen here. Ship safe," she adds, giving a nod. <English>

McGuire smirks a grin, "That's a relief." He looks at Ten, "Where then?" <English>

"That's what I meant..." Kyoshiro says a bit illusivly not sure what exactly they're talking about now, though he is curious of an answer to Fao's last question. <English>

Zank is looking through the crates and dosnt hear Willow come back in. He walks down the rows slowly. The crates hear all belong to different people. Diffrent Companies some legal some not. This warehouse shows the signs of a much larger orangization. One that works on a balance of agreed order and unimagnined chaos.

"Still dangerous, even if not here," Ten points out, giving a single nod to Fao as though to enhance the point. Any battle is dangerous, after all. Lifting her left hand, she rubs her right arm a little bit, and then she gives a shrug. "Somewhere out there. Soon," she says, her brow furrowing. Oddly, perhaps, she gives a bit of a shiver.

Willow lifts a hand as she breathes a sigh, unwrapping the scarf from around her head, and she leaves it loosely resting on her shoulders. She notices Zank there, and her right hand lowers to rub against her outer thigh. "Find anything useful?" she calls out to him, a bit of a smile coming to her features. <English>

McGuire gives a stern nod of understanding. He crouches back down to her level and reaches out to her. Pulling her to him, he hugs her as if he many never get the chance again. There he lingers, just holding her. <English>

Zank looks over quickly as Willow speaks. His hand naturally moveing to his side were his pistol rests. He stops of course as soon as he recondnizes her. He raises an eyebrow. He shakes his head after a moument. "Na...alot parts for ships, mostly ones for a older modle firefly...guess there still flyin" he says shrugging. "Found a nice chair to..but unless were gonna woo legion to death with fancy furniture. nothin here.." he says and then mutters something under his breath. <English>

"Hrm..." Kyoshiro says to himself before heading outside, "Guna head out and check on the patrol reports. LEt me know if you need me." <English>

Willow gives a soft grunt, and then she inclines her head towards Zank. "And do you have one of yours on this planet somewhere?" she asks, a flicker of curiosity coming to her voice. Shifting her weight, she moves to approach him, her steps graceful and light.

Ten blinks a little bit at the sudden hug that she earns from Fao, and after a moment of surprise she slips her arms around him to hug him in turn. She gives his back a light pat, and then gives him a small smile. "Many paths. Unknown quantities," she says softly. <English>

Zank blinks and looks at Willow. "No." he says simply and rather final. He grunts "need to get my hearing checked." he says and quickly changes the subject. "What were ya out doin?" <English>

McGuire finds it interestesting that he kind of understands her. One more squeeze before he lets go. Rising to stand, he turns to the commons, "One step at a time, Ten. One step at a time." He walks on to the hatch and steps over the lip into the commons. Glancing back, he smiles warmly to Ten before entering the room completely. <English>

Willow tilts her head slightly to one side as she studies him, and she raises an eyebrow a touch. "Your hearing's likely fine, I wouldn't be worried about it, were I you," she comments, a thoughtful tone to her voice. She lifts a large pack from her back, then drops it to the floor where it clatters. "I was fishing," she says. Then she steps back from the back to move to a crate near to the door of the warehouse. And it's on the crate that she sits. The pack is well out of her arm's reach. the invitation clear. <English>

Zank tilts his head now as looks at the pack on the ground. He watchs her a second and when she moves to the crate he takes a step forward. He picks the pack up and opens it. He actaully dose half expect fish. <English>

Ten tilts her head a little to one side, studying Fao, and she gives a small nod. "Yes. Must be," she says softly, a hint of a smile touching at the corners of her lips. And she heads to follow him towards the commons, perhaps curious as to what he's about. <English>

McGuire moves past the commons to the cargo bay hatch. Stepping through, his foot falls can be heard walking towards the stairs down. The pace quickens as he twists down the spiral till he reaches the bottem. Once there, he walks to the back of the bay away from the open door and pushes one of the RRR crates to rest up against the other two. He opens it and pulls out a dark black cloth of a perachute and begins to shake it out open on the bay floor. He begins to place string and begins to fold it. Also in the bay in the back area is the black crate that Oksana come in. Never know when something like that will come in handy. His attention is on his folding of the 'chute. Something he read on the cortex in his studies when he was a boy and interested in perachuting. <English>

Willow hangs back whilst he checks the pack. There is a sealed container there which has fish in it, oddly enough -- fresh fish, too. So literal fishing was at least something that she had been about, it would seem. But there are also a variety of weapons in the pack with ammunition.

Ten ghosts along after Fao, watching him with a bit of uncertainty. She doesn't know what he's about doing, and so she tries to figure it out. Without asking. Because not asking challenges her to use her brain more than asking would. She approaches as he toys about with the parachute and folding it. <English>

Zank chuckles as he actually finds fish. The weapons underneath cause an eyebrow to raise to. He pulls ones of the weapons out looking it over. "Theres blood on some of these...someone missin a hand?" he asks <English>

Willow watches him closely as he rummages within the pack, though she stays where she's sitting there on the crate. And she draws one of her feet up beneath her, making herself a touch more comfortable. "A hand, maybe two," she comments, her brow furrowing slightly. <English>

McGuire completes the folding and lifts the small square of cloth. He walks them to the crates and begins re-attaching them to the crate he came up to first. His work is tedious, but he's figured out the system of the parachute and crate drop. Using a few dock straps, he secures it and sets out to work on another one, pulling out another 'chute to fold. <English>

Zank grins and shakes his head slightly. He looks through the bag a bit more before nodding satisfied and putting it down on the crate next to her. "Nicely done." He says. "Talked to Kyo about and hour ago. Passed on what we done an seen last day or so." he says "Sounds like they wanna set up a beach head here in this area of the city. So we might be seein them soon...told em well keep things hectic here as best we can." <English>

Ten tilts her head a little to one side, watching him as he folds up the parachute, and her brow furrows a bit. Then she shakes her head, not understanding. And so she points to the parachute. "Why?" she asks. She's... conservative with words. <English>

Willow raises an eyebrow slightly as she watches him, and she listens attentively to what he advises her. "Mmm, well... it's the least that could be done in the amount of time I was gone for. Hopefully I'll be able to stir up a bit more results next time," she muses, a thoughtful tone to her voice. "There are a lot more patrols now than before." <English>

McGuire smiles and continues folding when the question is asked. He says as he folds, "In my line of work, one never knows when you have to make a drop like what we got here. Three crates, holding a little over one tone, dropped from above is a lot safer than a landing of the ship where it can be threatened. Plus, if for some reason the ship is going down, these parachutes can save a life. You never know." He finishes the folding and takes it to another crate to fasten. "This is what is call busy work, with a possibility of use sometime in the future." <English>

Zank nods he says leaning against the crate. "Yea well thats not suprisein..." he says "leaving a crater like we did would piss alot of folks off." he says "But guess it means were doin a good job." he chuckles and winces slightly. "So what do you think should be our next move?" <English>

The young girl frowns a little bit as she watches Fao, and a small frown touches her lips. "Planning for possible paths. Plausible," she muses, her tone quiet. She finds a place that's out of the way, and then she crouches there to watch him as he works. <English>

The redheaded woman lifts a hand to lightly draw her fingers through her hair, and then she gives a small nod. "Well, I'm pretty sure we did piss a lot of people off," she comments, a thoughtful note to her voice. "I'm not sure what our next move should be. But it would be useful to scout around this area we're in to see what's about. Maybe we can find some of the anti-air installations that are around." <English>

McGuire gives a nod to the little girl as he goes to fold another one for the last crate. He doesn't stop there, having seven more 'chutes with a crate to fold. <English>

"Well, it's half an idea, at least," Willow comments, a faint smile touching at the corners of her lips. "I'll scout it out later and see what's nearby," she adds, inclining her head towards him. "Ground to air is still problematic, though. But we don't know for certain if Jacy happens to be in orbit," she muses, her brow furrowing a little bit. <English>

Zank cant help but grin at her small stab at the Alliance commander. "Yea ant that the truth. Kyo pointed out we probaly shouldnt tell her we havent seen any civilans...Jacy might just resort to firebombing the city to dust...well i mean cause you banned Nukes apparently...I appreicate that by the way." he says. <English>

Willow lifts one of her shoulders in a faint shrug. "If there are civilians, they've likely holed up in bomb shelters or basements of houses or anywhere else they think that they'll be safe," she muses, a thoughtful tone to her voice. Then she gives a faint smile. "They don't always listen to my recommendations, but... well. Sometimes they do," she adds, a bit of colour coming to her cheeks. <English>

Zank grins, nods and looks around again. "Well Im not sure Jacy is dareing enough to challange the word of an Alliance operative, think she is smart enough t' know better, an if not...." he shrugs and peaks through the bag again. <English>

"Mmm, well... there are those who like to take risks," Willow comments, a smile touching at the corners of her lips. "I know the leverage that I have behind me when I make requests. I don't choose to do it often -- there are proper channels. But, these are different sorts of times," she adds, a thoughtful tone to her voice. "There's some credit chits in there as well. I'm not sure what's loaded on them." <English>

Zank looks in the bag chuckling "Takein hands and credit chits...your as bad as the crowds on Evasdown..." he says digging through the bag. "An your right bout the times were in. Never thought id be fightin a second war in my life." He says "I was very content, ya know runnin cargo, dodgein reavers, Pissing off Fed's, playin Robin Hood I think is how my sister used to call it." he says with a smile at the thought of Danee. Its followed by a small frown but is quickly covered up. "Now im fightin another war on a Alliance planet...dont know if its diffrent times or history repeating." <English>
