Log_Characters::Kyoshiro, Abbey

Kyoshiro hasn't carried a rifle in a long time and today wasn't any different despite being on a planet occupied by a rather harsh and disciplined fanatical army. He stands behind the specialist driving the Arumajiro through rural byways. There's a compound up a head just through the next small village which seemed more than deserted. "Stop at the Village up here. See what supplies you can scavenge or barter for if anyone is still around. We'll walk from there to the place where the deal is going to happen. We should be able to use short range on our own channels, line of sight, or visual if we need your help." He turns and looks back at the others who came with him. "Okay so... background on these guys is... off. Survivalists." That should explain enough. <English>

Abbey is quiet on the ride towards the drop off point and is left peering at Kyoshiro at the comments upon the place they are heading. "Oh... This should be a lot of fun then." She murmurs with a slight shake of her head. She on the other hand does have a rifle with her, along with a few other things most likely. <English>

"Right well..." Kyoshiro says moving back towards the exit ramp at the rear of the armored personnel carrier/tank thing that they called the 'Jiro. Only another few moment before the vehicle came to a stop in the middle of the street. A single main street through this village. Tumble weed bounced across the road. The place looked empty. Further down the road in the direction they were headed and up on a hill was the compound they needed to head to. At least it was visible from here. Stepping out, Kyoshiro puts a cigar between his lips and lights it. The two Churara and the driver of the Jiro split up and head into the abandoned buildings, looking for supplies. "Should only be another mile and a half up that road..." THe Commander says, starting to walk. <English>

Abbey nods slightly while moving over to step out from the tank thing one it has stopped, her rifle resting in a hand. "Yeah, no problem with walking. Just a bit unsure about the end result seeing how much other fun we've had around this place." She offers with a faintly amused tone. <English>

"Yeah well... need a little spice in life." Kyoshiro says. The day was waning and soon it would be dusk and then dark. They needed to get a move on but running would only waste energy and perhaps rise suspicion in their contacts at the compound. From a distance one could see it was more of a redoubt. High walls, someone with a lot of money lived there or had it built. "I've done the behind enemy lines thing before. Not sure I like it too much and it tends to end badly." <English>

"Ye do the talking then, I've never been one good with words to try and smooth things over with anyone." Abbey offers during the trip towards the compound. She eyes the place slightly with a faint whistle heard. "Next time I say we find a good bar for getting parts from people. At least we can get a drink then before trying to keep our heads and the like." <English>

There is a large blast door which serves as an entrance to the Compound. It's a tall gigantic sort of thing. There's some grated metal patched along the wall where it looks like there might have been a recent breach for some reason. Kyoshiro stops at the door and clears his throat, "Bar... right. Though, I'm not going to be drinking. We can stop by the pub on the way back see if there's anything to scavenge for you and the others to enjoy. Maybe it'll calm Fao's nerves a bit." He knocks on the blast door, the sound metallic and high pitch.

"Oye... who is it?" Shouts a mans voice from above on the wall. His head peaks out. He's wearing a dark cloak and speaks with a cockney accent.

"We're here to look at that old T88 you got... Val sent us..."

The man in the cloak pauses a moment. "Who the ruttin' hell is Val. What's the pass code?"

Kyoshiro chews on his cigar lightly. "I'm not saying that dumb word..."

The man insists, "What's the ruttin' password or you're not getting through!"

The old war horse sighs, "Shenanigans! Then pass word is Shenanigans alright!" Silence as the guard disappears and then a moment later the doors start to open slowly. <English>

Abbey smirks a bit. "Not that it does much to calm me unless I drink a few bottles of somethin' strong, not bad to help some forget about things for a short bit." Her gaze drifts to the door before a glance is sent back to Kyo and she huffs a bit. "Say it, or tell me an I will..." There is a pause and she blinks holding back a slight snerk of a laugh. "Shenanigans...?" Is murmured a bit while she just eyes Kyo before the doors do open. <English>

Kyoshiro puts his hands on his hips and eyes Abbey a moment as she laughs at him. Such a silly word to find annoying but apparently the old man did. As the door opens there are two guards, armed with M4's or other AR-varients and wearing black tactical gear. They looked serious. Looking past them there are several buildings inside the compound and certainly one nice looking mansion with a garden and the like.

The man in the hood greets them there at the entrance. "Hello, welcome to Sanctuary strangers. Please come in can I get you anything..."

Kyoshiro shakes his head stepping into the compound taking note of the other armed presence in the compound. "Nope... prefer to do our business then go. Let me see that engine and we an talk barter..." <English>

Abbey can only grin back at Kyoshiro, another faint laugh escaping her even before she clears her throat and looks to the man and the guards once said door is open. A slight nod of her head is seen. "Aye... Be what he said." This said while she points to Kyoshiro on the matter at hand and is following after him while looking over the area before them and then back to the guards. <English>

The 'leader' of this compound, or spokes man is short and willowy. His facial features are hard to see but it's clear he may be disfigured. A horrendous sort of burn or scar. Kyoshiro doesn't bother asking about it, after all he wouldn't like people just asking about his eyes constantly... except they do. So perhaps he'll give this hermit a break. "Very well... Spencer shall show you..." He starts to walk away.

Kyoshiro stays where he is as if expecting 'Spencer' to come up... The cloaked man stops in his tracks and turns, waving the two on. "Well come on then..."

Kyoshiro blinks, "Oh you're... sorry..." And he starts to follow.

Spencer takes them to a large barn loaded with all sorts of spare parts. This was Boros after all and a lot of people made money on trade of spare parts and things gathered from the junkyards near the man spaceport. He moves over to a large object covered in a cloth and takes the cloth off revealing the part.

Meanwhile back in the village as the Churara are checking out the shops and like for supplies the sound of a vehicle pulling into town in heard. The go to the windows and look out. It's an Alliance Jeep. It stops as soon as it sees the Jiro and four black clad figures hop out. Legion has arrived, for one reason or another. The Churara try to raise Kyoshiro and Abbey but they seem to be having trouble with their comm unit. Instead the retreat further into their shops and watch... <English>

Abbey doesn't point out other's issues with things on one's person, just isn't nice thing to do after all. She glances back over the area, perhaps a bit on edge but given everything that is going on that shouldn't be a real surprise. The voice to come on is caught and she blinks while looking back to the hooded one and she ahs a bit before following along and to the area in question. She looks on once the sheet is pulled back, when it comes to parts and the like unless it's a gun or rifle she knows very little about them so will let Kyo take control of such things. <English>

Dusk is approaching and some of the brighter stars are beginning to show. Though, not that Abbey and Kyo could see that from where they were inside the Barn. Kyoshiro places his arms over his chest as the engine is revealed. Moving over to it, he begins to look it over, pretending like he knew what exactly what he was looking at. The Engine was in nice shape though, a hard find on such a world filled with junk.

"She is in prime condition. We haven't test fired her though. Used to belong to an old blown out Osprey back in the city. I picked it up for a fine price. The Osprey class is sturdy and never really needs much replacing so... it was burning a hole in the yard officer's pocket."

Kyoshiro looks over to Spencer, "What do you want for it..."

Spencer gives a look to Abbey then back to Kyo, "Well... that depends. Credits aren't going to do me much good in the current climate so... either precious metal or some other... service..."

Back in town the Churara watch the four Legion soldiers approach the 'Jiro with caution and weapons drawn. The Legionaires go inside the APC then out, looking around town. Then conversing among them selves they seem to relax a bit as they try to figure out where the heck this thing came from. They start pointing to the houses and shops as if planning to clear them out. <English>

Abbey shifts in her stance letting her rifle strap rest upon her shoulder as she half listens. The look from Spencer to her is caught and she sends a faint look towards him. "Such as?" Is questioned about the 'service' he may be poking around for it seems. <English>

Kyoshiro is just as interested as Abbey is in Spencer's 'payment' options. Putting his hands on his hips he beings to look rather inpatient.

Spencer seems to be gathering courage to say something. "Well... It has been some time since I was with a women... and well... I know that you have a number of girls with you on your ship... cute little girls who could fetch a nice price with the new rulers of this world..."

Kyoshiro pauses a moment, "What in... the gorram fuck... you been watching us?" Straightening up, the old war horse comes to his full height and steps closer to the diminutive cripple.

Spencer cowers, "No... not since you placed the mines in the woods... but yes... and no..." <English>

Abbey blinks as she hears Spencer and is turning to move towards the man, one hand balling into a fist as she goes. "Ye little piece of shit..." Is hissed out from the sniper, and the only reason she doesn't haul off and swing at Spencer is because of Kyo. <English>

Kyoshiro grabs Spencer by the neck and picks him up off the ground. He starts to choke the man who chokes, his feet swinging and kicking, "One of those girls is my daughter you dumb fuck... The only reason you're not fucking dead right now, and believe me it would be that easy for me to snap your pathetic neck... is because I need that engine. So either I come back here in force and take this thing... or we come to a reasonable agreement." He starts to squeeze harder, "Do we have a deal?"

Spencer just chokes, trying to answer, his hands clawing at his neck, unable to get the large Churara Commander to release his grasp...

"What's that?" He looks over to Abbey, "Did you here a yes, Abbey?" He asks the sniper.

Back in town the Legionaires are starting to clear buildings but thankfully they're starting on the far end of town and together.

Back at the Barn, Spencer's guards have come in, their rifles trained on Kyo, having heard the Churara's raised voice. The High Commander doesn't seem to care. <English>

"Sounded like nay ta me." Abbey offers with a slight huff. The sound of movement and she turns, rifle sliding off her shoulder and half raised towards the guards. Her gaze narrows and she just eyes the men. "Easy kids... Or this is gona get messy for ye. Yer boss was just given the ok for the engine to go with us. They be talking still." She is cool and collected though any of the others may not be. <English>

The Guards stand their ground for the time being, not offering any words to Abbey as she speaks to them. They keep their arms trained on Kyoshiro. "Say it..." Kyoshiro growls at Spencer, his grip tightening even more, on the verge of snapping the cripple's neck.

"Yergggsshhh... Yarrshhhh YASH..." Spencer belts out. Kyoshiro drops him and immediately the man falls to the floor. He hols up his hands at the guards who start to advance, "We're fine here... Just... business..."

Kyoshiro reaches into his great coat, pulls out a sack and tosses it to the defeated man. "There's you're payment. You get what you get, end of that story..." Then he turns around noticing the guards finally who have stood down. Shaking his head he moves over to join Abbey, keying his comm. "Sargent... what's your status. We need you to bring the 'jiro up..."

There is static, then a response, "Can't sir... ah..." Whispered words, "A Legion patrol just stopped through, they're clearing buildings. Advise we should wait it out till they go then we can head up." <English>

Abbey doesn't lower her rifle while watching the guards, a faint glance is sent towards Kyo and Spencer once the leader of this here place is gasping for air. "Can we leave now? I feel like this is the place that time forgot and I don't like it no more." If one of the guards makes some oogly look at her she might get a bit snippy after what dear Spencer had to say. Hearing the voice over the comms she mutters out. "Dammit..." <English>

Kyoshiro himself grumbles and looks over towards Spencer who is now just getting up. His cloak has fallen off and he has all sorts of deformities on his face. Gota be a story there. He scrambles for the money and pockets it like the leach he is. "Did you call those Legionaires you little gusa? You plannin' on stabbin' us in the back..."

Spencer's eyes widen and he holds up his hands, "No no... they just started patroling a few days ago. They tried to ramp through the wall near the gate. We were able to dispatch them and repair..." He looks between Abbey and Kyo, "Please you have to believe me..."

Kyoshiro looks over to his guards, "This true..." They nod silently.

Outside there is a large roar of jet engines and an explosion as night has fallen and the sky is alight with a distance battle. Some dog fights have made it into atmo though and can be seen high above, their echos taking almost a minute to reach the ground. Kyoshiro pushes past the two guards to take a look at the sound and sky, the scene mirroring in the gloss of his single crimson eye. From the left cover a whining craft, smoking and on fire. It passes by at great speed before disappearing behind a mountain towards where the Jia is. There isn't a secondary explosion, not yet anyways. "Gusa..."

Back in town the battle has gotten the attention of the Churara. The Legionaires bust out of the house they're searching and head for their jeep. Forgetting the 'jiro they speed off in their vehicle, disappearing towards the mountain where the crash was just seen. The Churara step out and look to the sky in awe at the explosions and lights, something the young warriors have never seen before. <English>

Abbey doesn't lower her rifle just yet and just eyes dear Spencer. "I can't imagine when someone hasn't let ye have a good time." She hisses out thinly before all hell is breaking lose outside it seems and she glances after Kyo and to the sky that she can see. "Great... We need ta get out here before something else goes to hell in a basket." <English>

Kyoshiro nods to Abbey, "Agreed..." He comms his soldiers, "Status..." There is a burst of static before the Sargent's voice comes over the line, "We're already heading to you Commander... Legionaires took off after that downed fighter..." At least they were going to get the engine. They had to make it fast. <English>
