The man before stands at about 5'10". Despite the fact that he is somewhat aged he still stands pround and tall, the gnarled walking staff with him more for company than vital need. His skin a dark brown with numerous wrinkles in both his strong hands and his weathered face. Dark eyes stare out from his serious visage, deep and brown with almost yellow whites. A long beard, which has been dyed a reddish brown colour hangs halfway down his chest, the grey roots of which are clear around his chin and moustache. He is dressed in dark, flowing clothes that are practical for travel and impend his movements little. Wrapped around his head is a rich green scarf that also hangs down both over his shoulder and alongside his beard. Also, around his neck are several beaded necklaces of various colours that click together as he moves. Slung across his back is a what seems to be a wrapped up prayer rug that has been lovingly cared for. His shoes are tough, worn looking sandles that have felt the dirt of numerous worlds on them.

BackgroundBorn in one of the poorer areas of Bernadette on the 20th Jan 2466 , Azeem was raised a devout Muslim by his parents. His parents emigrated with him to Shinbone when he was but 7 and then helped his parents on the little farm they had bought. Life was simple there for him and when his parents died in 2491 he continued on there to the best of his ability with his wife Nadirah who he had married had married 5 years earlier. Their life was simple, but happy until the War for Unification. Both of his sons, Masoud and Eshan disobeyed his command to stay away from the violence and signed up for the Independants along with several others from the local community in order to defend their freedom from the Alliance. Their deaths took Azeem and his wife hard and he took up his old rifle and took to the hills, hunting down the members of the Alliance squad responsible one by one over the course of several months. He never took part in any major battles nor corresponded with any of the Browncoats fighting. His vendetta was his own and ended with the death of the commanding officer of the squad. When he had finished he returned home and found Nadirah still distraught and wracked by grief. She died of ill health shortly after the end of the war and Azeem couldn't bare to live there any longer. He packed only a few things and then traveled light, trading his woodwork and skills for passage as he moved through the 'Verse, trying to come to peace with himself and his actions.
