AoO Kirsten Selene

It's the morning after the night before, and Kirsten lays with her head comfortably on Selene's shoulder, one arm draped across her lover's chest. She's asleep, stark naked, and still snoring/snuffling softly in her sleep - she hasn't had her nose fixed yet like she promised. <English>

Selene stirs awake, shaking her head, and frowning at the sound of the snoring. She pushes Kirsten off - it requires a bit of force to do so, and slides out of the bed, making her way to the kitchen for food. <English>

That wakes Kirsten, although in her lazy way she pretends to be asleep for a few more minutes (or perhaps just tries to get back to sleep for a few more minutes) before finally rising, donning an oversize t-shirt, and padding in search of Selene. "Morning, beautiful. What's for breakfast?" she asks cheerfully, angling for a quick cuddle. <English>

Selene is still nude and staring at the food in the fridge, as if she doesn't know what she wants, or is having trouble comprehending what she's seeing. When Kirsten comes in for the cuddle, she shoves hard, pushing her lover away, and gives an angry grunt. <English>

"Easy, tiger," Kirsten laughs, maybe a little uncertainly, and comes in for the cuddle again. "Didn't you sleep well?" It must be hard to get off to sleep with Miss SnufflySnorter, to be fair to Selene. "How about some Selene and whipped cream for breakfast?" she teases. <English>

Selene doesn't push back this time. Instead, she turns and swings at Kirsten's face, her fist clenched tightly. Given that she's not had a lot of fighting training, it certainly won't be hard for the other woman to block, but this really isn't like her. <English>

Except that Kirsten isn't prepared at all for violence, not from Selene, and Selene's fist slams straight into her nose with a satisfying (if you're an unbiased observer) crunch! Kirsten trips over backwards and lands on her ass on the kitchen floor, legs spread, clutching at her nose that's now oozing crimson. "Ooo 'it by dose!" she protests, tears (of confusion and pain) springing to her eyes. She stares at Selene like Selene has just eaten Kirsten's favorite puppy. <English>

Selene looks angry, and wholly unlike herself. It's like she's completely lost her mind. Her fist is still clenched, and that flame-shaped rash burns brightly on the back of her hand. Her other hand reaches out, grabbing the nearest thing - a frying pan - and hefts it like a weapon. She hasn't said a word since last night, just grunts and other angry sounds. <English>

Kirsten's eyes widen at the frying pan, and she scrambles backwards until she can regain her feet. "Selene! Put the frying pan down!" she yelps thickly, still trying to staunch her nose with one hand, holding out the other in defense. "What's wrong with you?!" <English>

Selene doesn't answer other than to try to roar as ferociously as she can. She then chases after Kirsten, frying pan held high over her head. There's no reasoning with her anymore, she's going to have to be disarmed and subdued. <English>

Kirsten's eyes are stricken with confusion and pain, the pain caused when your lover goes into a berserk rage and chases you round the room with a frying pan. At first she tries to backpeddle and reason and try to calm Selene verbally, but then she realizes that this is a lost cause. With a sob, she charges, trying to duck under the swinging pan and tackle Selene onto her back! <English>

Selene loses her grip on the pan as she ends up tackled onto the floor, but she's not done struggling. She flails, trying to secure a grip on Kirsten, most likely on her hair to pull. She's in a full-on rage now, and she does manage to draw blood with her fingernails on Kirsten's shoulder. <English>

Kirsten and Selene crash through the paper wall into the bedroom in a splintering of thin wood and screen, sprawling and writhing on the floor. She risks a glance at the pan skittering across the floor, then buries her face in Selene's armpit (to protect her eyes, naturally!) as she grapples for Selene's wrists. Kirsten is trained in hand-to-hand combat, but nothing has prepared her for this, trying to subdue her lover who is behaving, to say the least, oddly. Maybe if Kirsten had watched the damn news, she'd have half a clue as to what was happening. In the meantime she's yelling for help, and after a few moments the door bursts open and a couple of the Gakuin students appear in the doorway...and stare. <English>

Selene is petite and untrained, so she's fairly easily restrained by someone with military training. She doesn't seem too happy about being restrained, and she snaps at the students with her teeth, like a dog. One of the students coming to help makes a comment about the crazy people on Persephone acting the same way. <English>

Kirsten restrains Selene as best she can, with Selene's own bra binding her wrists and Kirsten ending up sitting on her, gasping for breath. She yells at the students, "Stop staring! She's under the influence of something...get a medical team here!" The blood running down her shoulder from her own scratches is ignored for now, as Kirsten wipes a hand across her own teary eyes. "Get me a towel! Selene, stop it, please!" The towel, apparently, is to try to cover Selene's modesty. <English>

Selene continues squirming around, apparently with no care for her own modesty. The towel comes, and ends up sliding off unless she's held down with it. Someone else notes that the medical team is on their way, while staring at the normally quiet and kind herbalist squirming around with violence in her eyes. <English>

Poor old Kirsten spends most of her time straddling Selene on Selene's back, trying to protect the woman's head. The towel is forgotten. Kirsten's sobbing, "Selene, please, Selene Rose....stop it....what did you take? What were you working on?" She has gotten it into her head that Selene has, accidentally or otherwise, ingested one of the 'special' herbs from the garden. So when the medical team arrives, with a modern stretcher and restraints, and a sedative, Kirsten draws a deep breath and tries to tell what's relevant, although it takes an effort. "Female caucasian, 26 years old, woke up this morning insane, attacked me in the kitchen...no, I'm fine," she protests, despite the blood running from her nose and shoulder. "Maybe she ingested something in the herb garden, got some herbs mixed up or something...I want a full toxicology test run on her..." And then she hears the thing about Persephone again, and stares at Selene, and starts, at least a little, to put it all together. <English>

Selene struggles right up until the medical team manages to sedate her. At that point, she goes completely limp, and the medical team moves to put her on the stretcher and restrain her. One of them notices the rash as they untie her hands, and holds her hand up to the other. "Hey, check this out. Looks like that rash they've been seeing on Persephone." After securing her wrist, the other medic adjusts his hat and nods. "Yeah, that's the one. Should probably wave the Book, see if they can send someone out, or if we need to get her on a medical transport."

Kirsten just stares. She's crying, tears trickling down her cheeks, and she picks up the trampled towel to press to her lacerated shoulder and bloody nose. "Tell me about this rash on Persephone?" she orders the poor medic. She reaches to take Selene's hand, tangling her fingers in her lover's, and squeezes it softly. "Oh, Selene...be alright....please, be alright..."

The medic shrugs as they both pick up the stretcher. "Nobody seems to know anything about it, just that there's a rash, and the people who have it start going all caveman. Throwing shit, speaking in grunts, acting crazy. Sorry." <English>

Kirsten is uncaring that she's still barefoot, wearing only an oversize t-shirt (now torn and hanging off her neck). She's coming with Selene to the infirmary. "The Book hospital? I'll wave McAbrams...wait one moment..." and she relinquishes her grasp of Selene's hand only long enough to snatch up her icomm unit. "OK...let's get her to the infirmary here." And she's dialling, one-handed, Zachary's Cortex address, cursing as she mistypes and has to go back. "You hang in there, Selene," she tells the sedated girl. <English>

<probably with the pressure of incoming calls, this got routed straight through to voicemail>

Kirsten's blood-stained face fills the screen. Her hair is a mess, her nose looks like someone's broken it (again), and she doesn't look like she's wearing much. "Zachary? Selene's...gone crazy. My fiancee, Selene Rose O'Connell. She went crazy and attacked me and she has this rash on her hand, and the medics here are saying you might know something about this, so you gotta talk to me, OK? Do you know what's going on? Do I need to get her to the Book, or can I treat her here on Sihnon? Please wave me back, Doc..." Is it true? It is. Kirsten is crying. The feed blinks off abruptly.
