Calira makes a disgruntled sound, "Idiotic and unrealistic. It's a life sentence without having the balls to say it. NOT, mind, that I'd have stood for that either. So. What can you possibly use as leverage to get this sword of Damocles lifted from your neck?" <English>

McGuire holds Cal at the island galley counter where he made a fresh pot of coffee. Two mugs poured and steaming on the counter and they stand beside them just holding each other. Fao says in low and fairly weak tones, "I serve the time doing as they say, raise the money and pay it back as I can. I don't know any other way. Unless a fake my death to live hiden for the rest of my life." He shrugs slightly. "I don't know. I'm still worried about you and Mibu getting out of this court with your necks. Serious charges against you Cal. All because the Temparence was taken with lives lost." <English>

Kyoshiro comes up the stairs and into the Common Area of the Jia. He looks like he hasnt gotten much sleep in the last few days, if any, and the look on his face seems to be a sort of grumpy that somone wouldn't want to even consider poking with a stick. He dosn't comment on the conversation going on between Cal and Fao, but instead heads for the kitchenette to rummage through the cabinets. <English>

"I'm not quite as old as you, Fao, but I'm retired and I lead a quiet life and I do not meddle in the affairs of dragons or governments propped up by dragoon wielding military machines," Cal replies as she hug McGuire again, her hands resting on his back, steadying him as she hears the tone in his voice. She nods to Kyoshiro as he comes into the commons, "Kyo, any word on when the next round of kangaroo court will commence?" <English>

McGuire also looks in Kyo's direction and nods his greeting. He gives Cal one more tight squeeze before letting go and taking up his mug of coffee. He turns to face them both and listens in. <English>

Kyoshiro finds what he's looking for. The Rum that Fao keeps on. He pulls out three glasses and pours it, "Damned if I know." He steps away from the other two glasses while taking one and downing it with effeciancy. "Soon I would imagine." He moves over towards the sofa and collapses into it's unconditionally comfortable embrace. <English>

Scooping up her mug of coffee, Cal carries it with her to take a seat so that she can see both men and sips, cautiously, before she makes a sigh of sound and nods at Fao. She even allows a quiet moment to enjoy the coffee before speaking. "Kyo, what are you going to ultimately be facing? And Mibu? Who else?" she wonders, leaning against the edge of the island as she lifts the mug again for another sip. <English>

McGuire's smile grows as he walks over and takes up the two remaining glasses of rum, walking over, he holds out one to Cal and bring his to his lips to smell and take a sip. He chuckles slightly, "They can't take this away from us." <English>

"I'd stop worrying about me. None of my supposed crimes whether I did them or not are as overt or high as yours... I'll worry about myself." Kyoshiro says while pointing to Cal, specifically the pocket where she put the slip he gave him. "Ya'll just figure out how to use that as a possitive. Especially you Cal." He pulls out a cigar and places it between his lips and lights it with that Zippo of his before taking another drink. Fao knows Kyo never drinks, ever. Especially seince he's a recovering addict. <English>

Accepting the glass of rum, small that it is, she taps it against McGuire's before she takes a deep breath, enjoying the heady scent that rises from the glass before she sips from it herself. "There's a lot that they can't take from us, and they only get what we're willing to surrender." She lifts the glass slightly as she says this, a challenge of sorts to the universe at large. "I'm not worried about me, Kyo. They don't get much out of putting me on trial. So lets focus on what win is big enough for the Alliance to leverage to address all of these issues in one sweep." <English>

"Take away Blue Sun's Monopoly... Free the Markets. I really don't know where to start." Kyoshiro says taking a few drags from his cigar. <English>

McGuire looks curious at Kyo, then to Cal. He seems a bit lost and has to ask, "Use what as a possitive?" He downs his glass of rum, he sure loves that taste. Setting the glass down, he takes the mug back in hand and holds it as the rum's smooth burn settles. <English>

"The Alliance likes to, needs to, requires it's blood sacrifice, it's win. That's how anyone deals with the Alliance. Figure out what win is big enough to get what you want in return. Figure out how to acquire that which will be the win they want and equally figure out how to mitigate the damage and cost ratio that will go with it. Hence. Win. A win big enough to get what we want and give the Alliance what they want. Same old Same old," Cal explains before she tips a nod at Kyoshiro. "They won't free the markets because by controlling the supply of widgets and cogs they control the people who make the widgets and cogs, buy the widgets and cogs, supply the components to assemble same, the materials to build the components, the supply chain to and from point A and B and everything else. So put a pin in that. What do any of us have access to that'll result in a win?" <English>

McGuire sips at his coffee, still finding the rum taste in his mouth. He is still confused, but that's become the norm with him in the past decade. He pulls another sip from the mug and just listens a while. Win, his mind can't grasp that concept. <English>

"I'm at most an Anarchist and at least a Minarchist, Cal. I understand the parasitical nature of Government." Kyoshiro says getting up to refill his glass and take another drink like he's been doing it for a very long time. "We have those coordinates but they sold it to Blue Sun. We could give them Axel..." He glances over his shoulder to Cal, "THey already got Michio and you saw what they did to him. Pumped him full of drugs and now he's the 'face' of Blue Sun..." <English>

Kyoshiro adds, "Or the base on Yinyang..." <English>

"The coordinates you wrote down, they're to the wreckage of what ship?" Cal wonders as she finishes the rum and picks up her coffee mug again. "The Tempe?" is asked as she tips a nod at Kyoshiro. "Forgive me. I didn't mean to imply that you don't know how the game works or how it's rigged." <English>

"The wreckage? No... those are the coordinates of the Temperance which is a fully operational and in perfect condition ship... The one Rodney stole and the theft they tried to pin on Fao and us. The one all the protesters are on about because he spaces the crew." Kyoshiro says. <English>

McGuire's jaw drops, eye's widening. He almost drops his mug. Speachless. <English>

Calira breathes a few choice words under her breath in the drifted dialect of the oldEarth french language. "Well then. Give me a long enough lever, gentlemen, and I can move the sun." <English>

McGuire ponders aloud, "Free markets for the return of their pride and joy. I don't know if that would fly. Of course, any of us turning the ship in only tells them we're guilty in it's taking. It does look bad." He says to Cal as in a warning. "Careful what you do with that." <English>

McGuire adds, "It is why I was charged three million credits." <English>

McGuire says in English, "That and the space station they are building off Deadwood to monitor the planet.""

Kyoshiro looks over to Fao in complete bewilderment. "How the ruttin' hell do you come to the conclusion that they will paint it on us?" He pauses as Fao continues to espout crap and pinches his nose and just sighs. "I'm done... I'm done with this. You all just do what the fuck you want." <English>

"Once upon a time I was a the most senior ranked officer of the DAS," Calira muses with a glance down into the cup she's holding. "It's not beyond the call of belief that I have assets that they don't, said assets could be people who know things. consider how the return of that ship would get you out of the crosshairs and possibly get this sentence off of McGuire and maybe even swing the attention away from Mibu or anyone else that they have on a list. Like I said, I'm not worried about me." <English>

McGuire says as he walks back to the coffee pot, "If that works, I'd be grateful." He pulls the pot out and pours his mug and says, "However, I am spent. Not thinking right. I need rest." He starts to move to the starboard hall, "I'll just lay down a bit and maybe I'll make more sence afterwards." He steps into the hall and says, "Good night my dear friends." <English>
