Log_Characters::Kyoshiro, Willow Merryweather

Kyoshiro is in their safe house, reading the news paper and smoking a cigar. He looks slightly frustrated and tired, bags under his eyes. He rubs his temple with his freehand as he tries to concentrate on the news. <English>

"You know, there's a severe lack of good news in that. Unless you chance upon the story of the young gent who saved a four-week old kitten from a storm," comments a familiar voice from the direction of the window. Now open, and thus leading to her apparent materialization there on the inside of the room. Willow is just an odd duck that way, and sneaky as hell. <English>

Kyoshiro looks up as he hears the familiar voice. It was like he was used to her doing that. He simply rubs his temple even more. "Well... seeing as the Marquessa outed herself as a founder of the Freedom Movement while on the stand as a Character Whitness for Fao. This is a better distraction espite the bad stories than the reality that the negotiations I've made could fall out from under me because that stuborn old bat of a man just 'won't have it.' When it comes to Cal putting herself on the line for not just him but the Romany people as a whole." <English>

"One would hope that she has a greater plan beyond essentially getting herself arrested," Willow says, wrinkling her nose a little bit before shaking her head. "They're not making public what's being said, as of yet. Hopefully her testimony as a character witness won't be brought into question by her own choices," she muses, folding her arms before her as she steps further into the room. She's dressed in black, the clothes snug and close fitting. All the better for her 'work'. <English>

Kyoshiro nods slowly, "I think she has some sort of plan but I don't think she has anything to loose either. So that's what brings us here. I'll watch what happens but things might not end well. There is a chance of that and a chance that I might have to leave with them by force." He shakes his head and takes a few drags from his cigar. <English>

"Time will tell what her plan is, I suppose. I can't imagine her saying as much without having one," Willow muses, then lifts one of her shoulders in a faint shrug. She unfolds her arms, letting them return to her sides. "There was always the possibility that things wouldn't end well, though," she points out. Then she retrieves something from a back pocket, which she offers to him. A cylindrical short paper-wrapped baton sort of thing. "It's a flare. Green. Light it up if you need me. I'll be watching," she offers, giving a single nod to him. <English>

Kyoshiro nods, looking up to Willow as she hands him the flare. He studies it a moment and nods, "I hope I don't have to use it..." He says, putting it in his coat pocket. <English>

"I hope you don't, too. And not just because my particular employment provides me with a few perks that I'm rather fond of," Willow comments, quirking a bit of a smile as she watches him. "Just so you know? I'm not alone. I have a couple of allies whom I can count on and call on. So. If you think you need more than just me? Light both ends," she offers, giving another nod to him. "The mobs down there make sussing out things a challenge," she adds, wrinkling her nose. <English>

Kyoshiro turns his head, "Yes well... Can't have our cake and eat it too. At least that's the way it seems. I've more to loose from this than I care to hope for. My wife and children being one of them. I'm not sure I want them running around as a eternally hunted fugitive." He takes a deep breath and sighs shaking his head. "Not that they havn't been doing that seince I was wanted by the Alliance. I wasn't on the top of the list I guess." He nods when the Cylinder is mentioned before looking out towards the window. "We keep having to move as you've noticed, because of them. We will never be hero's on the core, no matter what the verdict is. The masses here have already made up their minds." <English>

Willow raises an eyebrow slightly, and she draws in a deep breath before slowly letting it out. "Seldom do we get to do both, it seems," she comments, then shakes her head a touch. "That, actually, is a reason that I came here to visit. It's no secret who your wife is, Kyoshiro. And I'm reluctant at having to tell you this. I heard a whisper of a rumour that she arrived on a shuttle a number of days ago. I haven't been able to find hide nor hair of her in order to be able to secure her," she offers, delivering the news as carefully as possible. "They may have made their minds up to certain things, but... this? It's like a wildfire. It spreads, then burns out. Opinions can be changed." <English>

"I've been following as you've been moving, as I'm sure you've noticed by the fact that I'm here." <English>

Kyoshiro dosn't care suddenly about the rest of what Willow is saying. He waits silently as she finishes speaking though. "Someone has Vanessa?" He asks. "Did you care to check the shuttle manifests to see if she actually came or not?" <English>

Lifting a hand, she gestures slightly. "I don't know if someone has Vanessa or not. That's part of the problem with not being able to find hide nor hair of her," Willow points out, one of her eyebrows quirking up. Then a smile finds her lips for a moment, and she gives a nod. "I checked the shuttle manifests. The name of 'Kaeri Imbu' was on it," she offers. <English>

Kyoshiro rubs his temples as he listens to her. "Well what the hell am I supposed to do with this information?" It's ot like he could just head down and investigate it himself. "You'll hae to pull up security footage from the disembarking and see if you can find her. See where she went or if anything happened." He curses softly to himself. "I swear to god if someone laid a hand on her I'll make Michio Kira look like a chumb when I put their mangled bodies on display." <English>

"Again, I was reluctant to have to tell you this at all. I know there's naught you can do with it other than stew, and the last thing I wanted to do was give you something else to have to worry over. But. You deserved to know it," Willow says, giving a nod. "I've pulled the security footage for the spaceport. We've been working on going through it, since we don't know when exactly she arrived it's something that's taking time," she offers, then lifts a hand to pull her fingers through her red ringlets. "At this point, there's nothing saying that something happened. I'm doing everything I can to find out more information. I wanted you to hear it from me rather than someone else." <English>

Kyoshiro nods and looks around the room a moment. "Willow. This stays between you and I. I don't need the others thinking I'm compromised mentally or for someone to use it against us somehow." <English>

"No one else will hear of it from me. This news, it was only for you, Kyoshiro. The only others who know are the allies whom I have helping me in scouring the footage. Their word of honour binds them to me and to silence, and there is naught more sacred than that," Willow says, bowing to him. "When I have more informaton to offer you, I will find you whilst you're alone to be able to share it." <English>

Kyoshiro nods slowly pushing a finger or two into his eyes. "Thank you Willow." He stands and move over to the kitchen to pour a glass of water. <English>

Inclining her head towards him, she follows him towards the kitchen, her footsteps careful and silent. "You're welcome, Kyoshiro," she says, a gentle note to her voice. "Is there anything else that you would wish for me to do?" she offers. Her reach is, perhaps, significant. Intentionally, she's kept a lot of cards close to her chest. <English>

Kyoshiro thinks a moment as Willow asks if he requires anything more. "Just keep me aprised of anymore whispers... and carry extra guns incase we need them... and a way out of these damn tracking bracelets." <English>

The redheaded woman listens, and then she gives a small nod. "I'll be sure to do that. That's the only one that I've heard. We'll find out everything we can," Willow says, a faint smile coming to her features. That time is against them is something she feels doesn't need to be said. Then she chuckles. "I've always been more fond of swords than guns. But I'll make sure I have extra ammunition and weapons on me, just in case. You know, if you're close enough to a shooter? It's easy enough to take the weapon apart on them," she points out, a touch matter of factly. She glances towards the tracking bracelet, then wrinkles her nose. "Those are challenging." <English>

Kyoshiro nodd his head. "I know which os why I was comfortable comming here without weapons or armor. Im not worried about a test of my skills. Not the first time Ive been behind enemie lines so to speak." He looks to his bracelet. "I bet..." <English>

The woman quirks a smile, and then she gives a nod to him. "It's a favourite trick of mine," she comments, her green eyes bright. "I'd give you one of my weapons save for the fact that they've been doing random sweeps of your rooms for weapons, and the risk of it being found is too great," Willow says, wrinkling her nose slightly. "The ways I know of are... obvious. And irreversible. More trouble than what they're worth, in all honesty." <English>

Kyoshiro nods, "Another reason I didnt bring anything or very little. I know th drill. I wont give them the pleasure of finding anything unless I want it found." He smirks slightly at this. "They come in handy at a fdstance to be sure." <English>

"It is not uncommon, alas," Willow says, then lifts a shoulder in a slight shrug. "If the need arises, though, I will make sure that you have weapons," she offers, inclining her head towards him, her green eyes showing a sparkle. Then she gives a soft chuckle. "Guns come in handy for distance fighting, to be sure. I've occassionally proven useful behind a sniper rifle." <English>

Kyoshiro nods, "I dont handle much other than my pistol but I am well rounded as Im sure my record attests to." <English>

Willow chuckles softly, and then she gives a nod to him, her eyes showing a sparkle to them. "Yes, I know. I've read your record," she points out, sounding a touch amused. "Is there anything you would wish for me to bring you next time I come, other than information?" <English>

Kyoshiro shakes his head, "Not that I can think of no." <English>
