Log_Characters::Faoite McGuire, Kyoshiro

McGuire walks with Kyo away from the building with a worried brow. "I'm ready to hear any advice you have about this situation. It took everything I had to not leap over the table to beat on those lawyers." He lights his cigarette and pulls a deep drag. <English>

"You're doing fine enough. Just keep calm and stick to your story." Kyoshiro says as he walks with Fao, "Those Lawyers are procecutors. THey're supposed to be brainwashed idiots. They won't be the ones making the decisions. Everything they say is an attempt to make you upset and slip up or admit to something you never did. It's how they make their money." He lights his cigar finally as they stop at an alley way. He can see a group of protestors and holds a hand out to have Fao stop and press back against the wall. Though, their security escort is already on the horn to local authorities to give them a distraction and a route out of here. <English>

McGuire takes another drag and blows hard as he presses against the wall. "Rutten procecutors." He saw the protesters and is glad his friend has this covered. It saddens him that Rodney was so ruthless with his suggestion. All those lives lost and nothing he could do about it. He pulls another drag and waits for the word. <English>

The patty waggon pulls up and they start collecting the protestors and that's when they run across the street at the behest of their security guards. The move to another side street and away from the commotion. "You shouldn't have told that reporter. Alliance controls the Media. Let them spin it the way they want it. They'll appreciate it more. Even if it's lies we know the truth and that's all that matters." <English>

McGuire nods his understanding. "I was afraid we'd show up and vanish from sight completely. That's why I got the reporter. An independent news cast with a fairly reputable voice. Thought it wouldn't hurt." He glances back to see some woman smack an offical with a sign. His frown grows. "Part of the rescue team that took out Legion, and still hated by the 'verse." He sighs and pulls a drag from his cigarette. <English>

"Just on the core worlds. It'll always be that way. People on other worlds might think differently." Kyoshiro says, "There's no way we're going to please everyone and why should we? We could care less for Gadje centement." <English>

McGuire shrugs, "I suppose." Then quirks a brow at Kyo, "We're half Gadje, at least I am. When I was in the Alliance, that side of me was strong because I didn't know I was half Romany. Now, I see both sides." <English>

"Yeah well so am I... maybe it's not a sound argument but it's what the others would say..." Kyoshiro says with a shrug, "We still shouldn't care what they think. THey need someone to blame and it's easy to blame the minority who steal children and a theives and live a simpler and different life." <English>

McGuire says, "But I am at fault. If I hadn't invited Rodney to take a ride with me over the Deadwood landing field, we wouldn't be in this mess right now. Those lives wouldn't of been lost back then. Granted, the planet would of still cucceded, but it would be all this." <English>

Kyoshiro pauses, "Don't tell them about that shuttle ride... ever..." He says in a very serious tone. "Don't. In fact we stop talking about that right here an now." He then starts walking again. "It's not your fault. You did what you had to." <English> McGuire nods, "Roger that." He follows Kyo where ever he goes. Fao doesn't care at this moment, not wanting to think about anything really. Just get through this, no matter how it turns out. <English>

"You need to trust me. I'm not going to let them kill you or us. And I'm not going to leave unless we get what we want in some form. They've concieded a lot despite public opinion but that's not surprising for a totalitarian regime such as the Alliance." Kyoshiro says looking to Fao, his eye focused on his. "I have not played all my cards yet." <English>

McGuire nods, "I'll follow your lead." <English>

Kyoshiro nods and moves along with Fao back to their hotel rooms. <English>
