The Fresno Hotel - Londinium was a very fancy place. It hosted politicians and dignitaries, Lords and Ladies of the court. But this week the presidential penthouse on the top floor was occupied by Kyoshiro Mibu... just to piss off the people around him. He sat on a plush sofa, smoking a cigar. Life was good except for the bl8nk8ng lights on his tracking braclet. A reminder of why he was really here. <English>

Hesitance. That was the aura that surrounded the leather clad woman that has nonchalantly managed to slip past the Alliance authorities that are keeping tabs and a close eye on their newest 'guest' of interest. Only Londinium's finest can play host to this particular individual and rightly so. Still, this woman being the reckless sort, tempts her own fate just for a visit.

A light rap echos out from the suite's entrance and carries itself across the chamber, resounding it's waves towards the location of the one inside. Now, that hesitance takes over. So many questions. Mostly? How is this wall so shiny. A caramel finger extends out from the woman's skin tight apparel and runs over the embossment that embellishes this suite that embodies the very definition of finery. 'Is that real gold?' She wonders but quickly decides it's not really worth investigating further as a noise that sounds very much like a march is coming down the hall.

A swelling hate begins to grasp over her and those cool hands begin to tick from their idleness. An itch and a decision need to be made on the spot, after all, she's not ready to place herself in the same situtation. So, instead of waiting for a response, she books down the hall and out of sight from those approaching.

The cause isn't abandoned nor is she the kind that is prone to simpy giving up, but right now, she wants the visit to go off the record especially where the Alliance is concerned. Time for plan B. <English>

It would appear that the marching is from a pair of guards armed with pistols. They stop at Kyos door before giving a knock. There are a few muffled words between them and Kyo before they leave and shut the door behind them. Kyo still remains in his room smoking his vigar unawares of the presence of Esmeraldas nearby. <English>

Down the hall another vacant room plays host to the woman's backup plan; a set curtains left spanning inwards into the room as the heavy breeze streams into the suite from the freshly opened window. Particles of opulent transparent lavender glide like ghostly ethereal tendrils; beyond, a narrow ledge frought with danger that wraps the entire floor of the building, mostly for show but the woman has done her homework.

"Son of a bitch.." Esmeraldas whispers to herself with a gasp as the wind almost had her that time. She pulls her foot back up upon the narrow ledge and her finger ache as a death grip ensues around polished metal gutter. There is a sever lack of friction which makes it extraordinarily hard for her to find soundness in traction for those hands and a slip of the eye has her vision sweeping out over the drop some many stories down towards the ground below where there's a full team of Alliance just waiting to do whatever it is they are waiting to do.

"Shit, why did you do that?!" She quietly states in a scold to herself for being so stupid. Rule number one. Never look down. Whelp, that's out the window, literally. "You can do this." She mutters once, twice, three times -- giving her the strength to slowly start to move again -- to build up that motivation to continue and concur the fear that's killing her mind. Slow and steady now and the corner was the last obsticle. Now she just has to reach -- reeeeeach that window. The one right there. She knows that it's the destination. Stretch. Step. Stretch. Step. Almost there.

"Just a little more. Almost -- ah." She gasps with a shaky voice but one that is also laced with pride from having overcome an intense bout of anxiety; her heart still racing as a elated hand taps upon the glass. Tap - tap - tap. Her visage just beyond. Waiting for that familiar face, hair blowing in the wind and a devilish grin upon her face. A mask but pride is a funny thing and works that way sometimes. <English>

Kyoshiro blinks as he hears the wrapping upon the window. His brows narrow, head turning to look upon esmeraldas' form as she stands there in the balcony. He stands, that confused look still on his face. Moving, he opens the glass doors to the balcony. "The hell are you doing? You coulda used the door." He moves over to the railing and looks down the over to the wi dow she had climed out of. He frowns as a bit of vertigo sets un. "Noty style." Then looks back to his niece. <English>

The woman has an unsettled yet steely look in her eyes has she grasps upon her blood's shoulder and uses him to steady herself as she makes the climb into the room from the dangerous perils of the building's exterior. It's clear that it isn't her style either as there is a sigh of relief as her feet are firmly planting upon the floor instead of that narrow ledge. It takes several moments before she's able to calm herself enough to speak without a crackled shake to her voice. "I can't be here. Not now. Not under these circumstances." She starts, a shiver of cold running over her before it's shaken off and she's moving to slip into a seat to relax those tensed, worked muscles. "I would have used the door but there was a patrol; many actually. Confrontation in the heart of the Alliance is not something I'm fond of for the time being." Her words roll out now a bit too calmly, like she's had plenty of time to be ready with the reply and her brain is over the overdrive death trip it took to get where she is now.

Another deep breath and exhale before she's looking up at him and presenting a smile. Something genuine and warm that's following by a rise from the seat and those arms wrapping around the large man to embrace him as kin. "I've missed you." There's love there, a crack in the armor that she normally shrouds herself in. If there were ever doubts about her feelings towards her uncle, this would surely be a jesture that there is more to her than a cold heartless facade that laughs that murderous laugh. Her fingers coil into the man's garments and clutch upon them until the closeness comes to an end; leading to her pulling back slowly and those hands to find their way to the man's shoulders. There is that steely look in her eyes again as they peer deeply back into his own. "Uncle. You must tell me what you are doing here. Why now? Why after all this time are you here of all places ready to deal with a past that is nothing more than that. The past. And most of all, what must I do, Uncle. What would you have me do for the people and for those that are dependent upon us?" She's sincere and her voice is never raised. It's soft and understanding while becoming of a princess of the Roma. It's clear she's finally found purpose and the great joys of responsibility as it pretains to a people. She belongs and it's all thanks to him. <English>

Kyoshiro is surprise by the embrace but wraps her up in his arms, giving her a loving and tight squeeze. His cheek presses against her head and the tresses of her hair. "I missed you ad well." As the embrace ends he looks to her. Listening carefully. "Because with Legion defeated we have somewhat or a bargaining chip... which is why we are not sitting in a cell. Im allowed to travel as well... just. Want to stay close to Fao. He is really why Im here." He pauses a moment before continuing, taking a drag of gis cigar. "Bargaining for legitimacy here for our people... Though depending on how Fao interperates this Allegiance Act we might need a proper escape. Zank is working on something to make us disappear." <English>

"Sounds like you could use a distraction then. I will help you with this, Uncle. I'll have my people prepare something -- grand. The likes of which even the Alliance can't ignore. This alone should give you the window that might be needed." Esmeraldas states as a quirky yet sly grin beings to enthrall her. "As for Fao -- Well, I would love to say that I have a deep fondness for him as a person but I cannot be distracted with the decisions he tends to make. His actions are his own. You are my blood, however and I'll move the Verse if I have to just to give you a fighting chance. I don't want that to sound cold; I really do care for Fao, but I think we both know that he can be a loose handle." She takes a step back and there is a sharp exhale. She doesn't like putting things out there like that but it's clear she's weighed the options and risks. She is a minute shake to her head as thoughts traverse through her mind, each being shoveled off to the side so as naught to distract her attention away from the only man important enough for her to leave her people over. Those eyes are keen and beholden unto his own. <English>

Kyoshiro nods slowly, "Aye... something changed in him..." He moves over to the sofa taking a seat once more. He rubs his face before letting his words out once again. "Im stuck in the delema of course... but. Seemingly I was able to convinve them to let deadwood become a protectorate... which give Fao and his people the freedom they want. Alliance helps with the readers. They want to build a space station out there. Seems theyre serious about cleaning up their own mess. Problem is... will fao accept this as being Independant and sign with the rest of us. If he dosnt, do we sign without him and leave deadwood to the vulchers... or do we guck right off outa here and become the next most wanted organization and people in the verse." He looks over to her. His one good eye meeting hers. "and thats not even counting what ever sentancing we recieve for our personal crimes." <English>

She's all ears and her attention is calmly situated upon the man across from her, those shimmering green hues that still carry a hint of that cold glacier blue beaming like starburst gems. That is, until something he says makes her lose composure and begin to laugh. It's a subtle thing at first, a grin that carries on without control until it's manifesting itself as a giggle that evolves into something much more malicious and maniacal. "Oh, Uncle." She harps out while trying to contain herself. "You always did have a way with words." She allows it to peater out a bit more before she's clearing her throat and taking back the reigns.

"After all we've been through? After all the things each and every one of us have done? To place more stock into one crime than another just seems silly and it's naught more than a way for us to tear away at ourselves from within because the opinions of the mass that inhabits this Verse don't matter. Only our people matter now. I made my piece long ago with naught being in the lime light because we'll never be portrayed as heroes no matter how hard we try. No matter how many times we are actually responsible for saving this damned Verse and it's perverse systems. So, what I'm trying to say is that what ever you decide, I'll have your back, but I need to think about my people first." She hesitates for a moment before continuing, "For what it's worth, my advice about Fao, your friend. He's a good person that cares deeply for his own people and I think that he means well for the benefit of all Roma -- but -- he's also extremely selfish in regards to placing his and his clan's interests over all others. I hate to be the one to point it out but they are the minority by a long shot as far as the Roma people as a whole are concerned and it wouldn't be right to allow the actions of a single clan to represent the Roma as a generalized sense. Every society has it's radicals and sometimes people become misguided. That's all there is to it. Do his people really want to be drug into another conflict because their leader can't rationalize the long term benefits of a treaty? I'm not sure. Honestly, I've interacted with nearly every clan save two and his is one of them. They've pulled away and don't seem to hold to the core values as much as they used to. Hell, Chovian is a complete fool of a man and even he knows that in order to /be/ Roma you have to live Roma." She offers only a faint smile before she falls silent. She's talking straight there is no slight in her voice. She is sure his logical brain has already been down this road as well, but perhaps he just needs to hear it from someone else. Relationships can be like that. They can cause hesitation and inaction when the solution was so easy beforehand. "If he were anyone else you would have already decided to cut him loose as a liability to the entire Roma people; until he could get his head on right. It's still your choice though. As I said before, I will have your back either way. I've explained as much to the Ariel Clan and they understand. They also know there could be an impending storm." <English>

Kyoshiro nods slowly. "All options must be left on the table. These talks are still early and we shall see how others react to the drafting we come up with. So far i am incredibly surprised by the leeway the Alliance has given us. I have never experianced this and from the records neither have the roma." He smiles softly if not sadly. "Thank you though. I think i have a clearer idea for decision making now thanks to you." <English>

"I'm glad that -- I could be of use to you once again, Uncle. I'm just sorry that it's in regards to such a topic. This hits home for all of us but we have to stay vigilate and united for the people we've fought so hard to protect." Esmeraldas slowly turns and stares at that window. She's all too aware that if she wants to get out without the risk of alarm, she'll need to face the perils of that narrow ledge again. She doesn't lead on but it's a massive dread that had her stomach going into knots since she arrived. "As for the distraction? Just let me know. You have the old frequencies. The Alliance cannot listen in. Even if it's not needed, the preparations will be in place -- for a later date if needed at all." She hates to waste resources that way but it's an investment if things don't go south because what she has planned? Well, as she said before, they can't ignore it. Of course, she's smarter than to give up the plan to him in this place. Honestly, their entire conversation was probably recorded and easedropped upon. Even her presence. But she knows they won't move against her, not now. "Is there anything else -- Before I go?" <English>

Kyoshiro watches her move over to the curtain and window once more. "Just make sure Zank is clued in before anything happens. He gets confused..." He gives her a sort of smile. "See you soon." <English>

"I suppose I can do that." She looks back and gives him a little wink, as though she's not totally petrified with fear about what she's about to do -- again. "Stay well, Uncle. And remember -- you are not forgotten -- even here." One last glimpse towards the man and she has the window open again and her body slowly disappears. <English>
