| Summary: [[Log_Short_Summary::Kyoshiro found out through Julia that he is related through the Tycho's. Jade's Grandfather's Brother Gerofrey is his Grandfather. Jade was afflicted with an illness similar to Kyo's. A genetic disorder. Kyo has that same gene and now. Alucard who was in the Alliance grooming program with him is working with Oli's brothers to Capture Mura and eliminate (or Capture)Kyo and Oli. There is a fear that the other Tycho's might carry the gene whether active or dormant and can be used to breed some sort of perfect super soldier army that Alucard can sell the the highest bidder.]] | ||
Zank laughs and Braxton nods to Danee "Yea well he bout had t' get on his hands an knees to make it happen, but your welcome...wasnt actually to hard" Braxton says and then looks to Doc "I hope ya wife is alright after what happened to her on Regina. Trouble seems t' find her alot" he says with a grin and a glance at Zank who again rolls is eyes and interjects "Alright Brax ya can stop pretending to be social an creepin folks out with how ya know alot about em..." Braxton grunts and gets the annoyed look on his face but Zank cuts him off "Report Captain..." Zank says with smirk. Braxton looks quiet annoyed but responds "I did what ya asked...set up a number of safe houses an bolt holes for the Tychos an such..." he pulls out a peice of paper and hands it to Zank "These are the spots an i got some of my boys watchin over the area for any signs of thouse ya talked bout...Underground ant to happy with what ya told em though...thinkin it will bring to much attention." <English>
Doc simply sits back now and lights up a cigarillo and watches and listens for now...the Aces little detour to drop Esther and Stephen off on Paquin at the Ranch put Doc a bit behind as to what's goin on with Kyo and his family. Speaking of Kyo?...Doc looks about for his oriental friend. <English>
Danee turns an dlooks about when Doc does but she sees no one that she knows and no one that seems to be paying either too much or not enough attention to them. <English>
Kyoshiro steps out from the Cargo Bay adjusting the pork pie atop his head. "Evening everyone..." He greets in the usual manner. He looks to Doc and pulls his own cigarillo from the inner pocket of his dark blue frock. His harsh red gaze then looks incredulously towards Braxton for a long moment before looks to Zank, "What's going on?" He asks. <English>
Zank nods to Braxtons report and smirks "Thanks Braxton...exactly what i expected from ya" he says before looking to Kyo "Kyoshiro meet Braxton the one I told ya bout that would be settin up some things t' look after the Tychos if things turned nasty..he was just reportin in with me on what he's done so far...and its lookin ok for now." Braxton looks at Kyo his own harsh gaze looking the man over. Kyos gaze dosnt seem to bother the man as he nods to Kyo after Zank's words. He talks too Kyo "So you must be the one sturin up the hornets nest..." he says <English>
Doc smiles when he sees Kyo...he looks back at Danee and sees her looking around, which cuases him to scan the area once again. Then he looks back at Zank..but when Braxton speaks Doc can only grin...then adds, "Yeah Mibu...sorrah fer being gone likes ah was aftah the ruckus at yer place...it'd beh nace ifin ya could brings meh up ta snuff on whar thins is at with youse an yer family..speakin o which how is Oli an Mura a doin?" <English>
Danee turns back to smile at Kyo, "Mura is so cute." <English>
Kyoshiro simply nods to Zank before his attention is grabbed by Braton, causing him to raise an eyebrow. "Well if you consider being forced by the state into a military grooming program seince before you could walk after your parents were killed by some mysterious defense corperation being my fault on top of having a gene that runs in the family, that if not surpressed or controlled turns me into a instinct driven beast... sure, that'd be me." He shrugs looking to Doc, "Well... there's no leads on where Alucard is... He's the one who came on over the monitor. So, seeing as he might be working with Oli's brothers our first through was to go 'visit' them on Bellerphon..." He nods to Zank, "However we figured that seince alucard is looking to gather children and those of child barring age to create some sort of perfect soldier, some of mine and Jade's relatives might also carry the gene whether dormant or not. It seems to activate at random. I digress, We can't protect them all and there's a chance Alucard might come for them as well just to have more resources to draw from." He smiles to Danee as she says Mura is Cute... "Thank you Danee... I think so too." Then back to Doc, "Oli and Mura are here on the Jia. It's the safest place other than the BHG. And even then, with people like Rodney Kilbride and hunters. I don't trust their integrity, run too much by money thy are... though I don't think Oli is very happy about being on a ship ." <English>
Braxton grins slightly but nods "Yea exactly..." he says simply to Kyo then looks to Zank "Ill get back to it...but i wont be far...wave me if ya need me but my boy will be watchin over ya why your here." Zank nods and then looks to Kyo again as Braxton walks off without another word. "So...ya ready t' meet ya relatives?" he asks <English>
Danee listens to the conversation and a couple of times starts to say something but thinks better of it. When Braxton walks away her gaze follows him for a long minute an dthen looks around to see if she can recognize his boy. But that seems to be easier said and done. So she turn sback to see what kyo has to say. <English>
Doc takes in what Kyo says and nods to his friend, "Ahm at yer disposal Mibu....any time ya needs meh ahm thar fer ya.." Doc takes a drag from his cig. <English>
It is at this time that Conoger coems back from going into the Aces. He seems to be drinking from a mug and then looking about to see what is going on. He does see the others and manages to nod to each and everyone of them. " So, what is a happening here? I mean is there even a decent tavern abouts?" Then he spots Danee and winks to her, nodding. " You an me, soon." then looks to Zank and Kyo. " Like I said before, just ask and I am there."
Kyoshiro nods to Doc, then Conoger as he arrives before looking to Zank. "As ready as I'll ever be I think. Let's just get it over with..." He's got a bit of a nervous look on his face. <English>
Zank , Holliday, Danee and Kyo all stand near the bottom of the Jia's ramp. The discussion of the moument about going to meet the Tycho's and help Kyo unravel some of the mystery. A man in a brown thrnch coat is walking away from the group and off to the less junk filled area of the spaceport twords the junktown beyond. (scene set) <English>
Danee steps away from the group for a moment and it might appear as if she is listening or looking for something. She chews her lip but says nothing. She returns to the group to see what happens next. <English>
Doc takes another drag, "So then whaat's next on ourah agenda then?" Doc blows the smoke out..looks at Zank, "Almost fergot ta asks, How's Jisae been o late ..ain't seen her in some time.." <English>
Zank nods and looks to Doc "She's doin alright there Doc. She got back from seein her aunt not to long ago. She had'nt seen her in some time so she was happy t' be able to spend some time with her." He says with a small smile. He then looks around the group "Kate and Jack in New Limrick about 50 or so Kilometers from here so our next step is t' go there. I already waved em. There expectin us." <English>
Danee asks excitedly. "We taking the mule?" <English>
"Herm..." Kyoshiro says as he steps back up the ramp towards the Cargo Bay... "I'll fetch the Mule in that case... It's in a valley. I'm not walking up a damn mountain..." <English>
Jisae walks through the cargobay to her ship mates. She stands behind Zank and slides her arms around him in a backward hug. "Hi, guys." <English>
Doc grins at Kyo, "Ya'd do it fer Randolph Scott.....(ECHO....Randolph Scott) <English>
Conoger is simply sipping his cup of what ever he is drinking and listening. He says not much, only observing them and on occasion looking about. Even as he listen , he seems to be thinking of something else entirely or just speaced out. As Jisae comes along he nods ot her and then in one last drink he finishes his cup of what ever. " Well I am ready, lead on." <English>
Zank chuckles and nods to Kyo as he goes to get the Mule. As Jisae wraps her arms around him he smiles "Hey bao bei (sweetheart)...we was just about t' head t' New Limrick t' meet up with some distant relatives of Kyo here. Wanna come?" he asks sort of looking over his sholder at her as she backwords hugs him. <English>
Zank also grins at Danee "Yes mei mei were gonna take the Mule less ya feel like walkin." <English>
The sound of the MULE comming to life comes from the Cargo Bay and only a moment later there's Kyo driving the thing slowly down the ramp. He gives enough time for people to move of course, but he won't stop for people to get on untill it's on level ground. <English>
Danee grins, "I love the mule. It makes me want to .." she frowns and looks around then she looks back at Zank. "go for an adventure." <English>
Doc smiles when he sees Jisae, "Still looking good Jisae.." Doc winks...then sees the mule come. H"e walks ove and hops in behind Kyo..and stands holding onto the Mule's rollbar...any possible threats tween here an thar Mibu?" Doc offers a hand to Danee. <English>
Jisae's arms tighten around Zank for a moment as she smiles at him. She nods, and then looks at Danee, "I'm always up for an adventure." She turns her head to lay her cheek on Zank's back as she sees Doc, "Thank you, Doc. How are you doing? How far along is Esther?" <English>
Danee takes the offered hand and allows Doc to help her up. She thrn turns and offers a hand to Conoger. "You coming? The Tycho's will put on a feed. And they have beer and tortilla chips. Mrs. Tycho is very nice." <English>
Con does come to the MULE and then grins as Danee extends a hand otu for him. He takes it and gets up. " Food and beer, that is all that had to be said, like booze if there is nothing else than Scotch." yeap, Con and his scotch. Then take a seat beside Danee. " So, you been alright?" <English>
Zank smiles then nods twords the Mule. He slips away from Jisae as there ride comes and Zank hops up turning to offer a hand to Jisae up onto the Mule. He answers Doc's question that was directed at Kyo "Nothin t' bad just alot of junkyards and open terrain till we get to the Valley were the city is at." <English>
Kyoshiro waits untill everyone is aboard safely. He looks back to Doc, "I don't know... It depends on whether or not Alucard has gotten to them or not yet. Though, acroding to Zank he hasn't. Aparently he's some type of Mob Boss on this rock." He shrugs, "Mey Limerick is a farming town.. like Zank said... lots of open spaces." He accelerates. <English>
Doc smles at Jisae as he helps Danee up, "Ahm fine...Esthah's ahlmost eight month's along..." He looks at Zank when he speaks and does the same with Kyo. "Doan makes no difference..ahm ready fer anythtin thaat maght git in ourah whay..." While their still stopped Doc takes out both recentlu cleaned Colts and check and makes sure their both fully loaded. The reholstering both he again takes hold of the rollbar. <English>
Jisae takes the offered hand and sits in the mule beside Zank. "Eight months... It's coming up quicker than I thought." She leans into Zank and grabs onto a bar. Her free hand checks for her own weapons, concealed in secret places that one might not suspect. <English>
Danee smiles at Conoger, "I am doing much better. I am coming to terms with not always being pacifistically aligned." when she hears a mention of teh city's name she grins, "I knwo a limerick." she blushes. "But it is not a nice one." <English>
Conoger looks to Danee and then nods. " Glad, real glad." though he seems alittle confused. Then looks back to Doc. " No wonder she looks so big." Yup, good old Con. Then looks back to Danee. " A Limerick, whats a limerick?" <English>
Zank grins at Kyo's words of him being a Mob boss of sorts but he dosnt say anything in rebuttle as he takes a seat. He joins the rest of the conversation as Jisae takes a seat next to him. He takes a moument to check his own pistol. "Is it a Boy or a girl Doc? or are ya waitin for a suprise?" <English>
Kyoshiro drives at a steady pace through town and eventually civilization becomes less and less and the only thing is the fields and the power lines on the paved road, no pain. A house here, a farm there... "Thor..." He says without taking his eyes off the road, "Did you know Jade?" He asks. <English>
Doc shrugs at Conoger, "preggers is what Preggers does ah thin..." Doc looks at Jisae, "Yeah..whar the hell has tha time gone eh?" Lstly Doc looks down at Zank, "Who knows whaat goes through a woman's mind Zank....she says she'll schedule an appointment with Iniana fer a ultrasound....ta see whaat it is...buht ah thin she's jus draggins her feet...so ahm a bit at her mercy as ta it being a boy orah a girl..." Doc hears yo's question to Conoger...then says, "Iifn he didn't knows Jade..tha rest of us did..." <English>
Danee takes a breath and explains. "A limerick is a humorous poem consisting of five lines. The first, second, and fifth lines must have seven to ten syllables while rhyming and having the same verbal rhythm. The third and fourth lines only have to have five to seven syllables, and have to rhyme with each other and have the same rhythm." she grins at his expression. "like this, There was a young man of Herne Bay, Who was making explosives one day; He dropped his cigar In the gunpowder jar. There WAS a young man of Herne Bay." <English>
Jisae grins at Doc and shrugs her shoulders. She becomes quiet as she listens to Danee and Conoger speak. She choses not to interupt either of them. <English>
Con nods to Doc and chuckles. " I suppose, I seen many, none mine but seen it." Then looks to Kyo at hsi question and he nods. " Aye, new here very well, we were good friends, trusted her with my life. I am still psised I was nto around to help when.." he shakes hsi head and sighs. Though as Danee starts to explain things and says the poem, he starts to chuckle and it's loud, very loud. " Oh wow, thats a great one Danee." <English>
Zank smirks at Danee's Limerick and at Docs words. "Honestly Doc i dont know how that is...the women changin there minds things yes but the pregancy thing no" he grins and he to frowns as Congoer talks about Jade. He stairs out at the junkyards of his homeworld thinking on his old friend. He sighs visably and looks at Jisae with a small smile and nudges her pointing out at the junk yards. "So what ya think of my old stompin ground so far" he says with a chuckle trying to ake him mind off Jade. <English>
"The second battle of Paquin..." Kyoshiro echos what Conoger had avoided saying. "I was finishing school. I heard about it on the news... Honestly I didn't pay much attention." He shakes his head, "Sometimes things are right in front of you." As they rocket along the mountains start to grow in the distance and turn the flat green pasture land into rolling foot hills. There are much taller mountains, lush with green forest still a few minutes away. <English>
Doc becomes quiet as he looks at the landscape as it starts to change. Doc was about to say something about Zank homeworld...something not nice...but when he thinks of his own home planet...Ezra...Doc thinks better of it..seeings how those that run the planet now are less than those that ran it while he was growing up there...so who is he to say more about Beylix....maybe the place they are going to now may change his mind about the rock they are on just now. <English>
"Garbage pit of the 'Verse? Filthy and coverted in wreckage!?" Jisae says to Zank when he asks her about his planet. She grins, "There are some likeable bits. Much like you." She leans over and kisses his cheek and gives a light laugh. She looks over at the rolling foothills and the tall mountains. "Do you have a favorite place?" <English>
Danee appreciates Conoger's rresponse to the silly limerick but becomes quiet when the talk turns to Jade. She sits back and just closes her eyes and pretends to rest. <English>
Conoger notices people avoiding the subject and so he goes quiet and looks about, his eyes takign in the land scape and hmms. "Every planet has a place that is unique and beautifull that I have seen, well except Shadow." then he thinks a bit more. " Though, they should really have taverns in all of them, at least in every block." <English>
Zank laughs at Jisae's answer and nods with a smile on his face "I'll take that as a compliment..i think" he says with a chuckle and he nods to both Conoger and Jisae's questions. "Theres a ridgeline over lookin New limerick that has a great view of everything for about 50 miles...the city is much more built up than the spaceport towns. Valley just makes the air traffic hard to control." he says to Jisae. He looks to Conoger "There's plenty Conoger some of em just dont say Tavern on em. It's t' keep folks that are passin through from known its a bar. Ment for locals. Folks from Beylix arnt the most friendly twords outsiders. Yall just got lucky with me i guess" he says with a grin. <English>
"Map Says the start of the Valley right up here is the begining of the Tycho Ranch. It's huge, over two miles along the thing and they own both mountains, front and back sides. That's six miles wide. Jesus..." He's got the NAvi Holo poped up on the thing and it's beeping at him. Right at the foot of a mountain the MULE slows. It's getting a bit dusky out and the light polution from the actual city can bee seen but the Ridge Zank is talking about is about three miles down the road more. Here it's still quiet. The Mules stops in front of an old wooden gate with a sign that says Tycho Ranch. He turns the Mule and heads down the road which starts to climb up the mountain. This looks familiar to Doc, Zank, and Danee. <English>
Doc silently watches as suddenly things seem all too familiar...the memories begin to saturate his mind..Pictures of Jade passing his thoughts....and without thinking about it Doc is totally unaware that his jaw has grown quite tight. He shuts his eyes tight...then a single tear slips down his left cheek. <English>
Jisae laughs with Zank and nods when he speaks of her compliment. She looks where he describes, her violet eyes taking in the light of the day as she looks at the ridgeline. She looks at the beauty of the land and then looks at the others. Her brow furrows slightly when she sees Doc's response. <English>
Danee moves closer to Conoger and whispers, "I was mean to her. I did not understand what was wrong and I said some mean things." she looks out of the mule and sighs, "regret is something one learns to live with. But...." she lets her words fade away. <English>
Conoger has never been here before and so does not get all that emotional, even if he did, he be alright. Then as Danee speaks he sighs and puts a large arm around her much smaller frame. " She was different but we are al different in our own special way. That is the past, forget it and just move on." then he grins. " Heck, she likely tell you all to live on and party. So , lets see if her family is any better than her." <English>

He hasnt been here in a very very long time but past memoryies of what feel like a life time ago filter through his head. His eyes seem sad but the rest of him remains rather neutral as they approch the homestead of the Tycho's. He looks at Jisae knowing she might not understand the connection that Jade had with the Jia or the long history the Tycho and Lines family shared. He's just glad Jisae is here. It lifts his spirts enought to face what the next few hours might contain. <English>

At the peak of the hill and through the scrawny trees at the top of the mountain. Strait ahead there can be seen at the bottom of the valley a swoth of pastureand fense with grazing cattle of all sorts still out and about. If one looks to the right they can see the Lights of New Limerick about three miles away. A bustling city with an aparent night life. Ships are comming and going much like the spaceport they just came from. Though it looks like the Tycho's have their own small dirt strip. There is a Barn, and next to that a bunk house for the handlers. It was quitting time so all that was heard from there is drunken laughter and clinking dishes and silverware, soft yellow light flicking from the windows as darke shapes cast shadows here and there. The main living house though is the giant Colonial Plantation esq mantion which Kyo parks them in front of. On the wrap around pourch sits Katy Tycho, still looking good for someone in her 60's, though she is Romani. Jack is no where to be found just yet. <English>
Jisae reaches for Zank's hand and gives it a light squeeze. She remains quiet as she takes in the landscape and the house. When they arrive, she hops off the mule and waits for the others to go forward. She doesn't know these people, so it seems smart to let someone else take the lead. <English>
Danee is nervous. Although the woman is romani it does not then follow she will be happy that Danee is in her space. Not all romani even like her. Some are afraid that if she comes to close the curse will be visited up on them. So she stays where she is until told otheriwse. <English>
Conoger just stays where he is until other wise told that he can come out and play or just eat. So now he waits, patiently for now, though he does notice Danee's nervousness. Still he stays, waits and does nothing else. <English>
Zank smiles genatly as Jisae squeezes his hand. "Xei xei (thanks)" He squeezes it back lifting to kiss the back of it quickly as they arrive at the homested. He stays seated a moument spotting Katy on the porch. He takes abreath and hops out of the MULE along side the others. He starts to make his way down the path twords the porch. "Mrs. Tycho..." he says in greeting, old childhood habits instilled in him never seeming to have died. <English>
Katy stands from the rocking chair she was sitting in. She's still wearing her blue jeans and black tank top from the days work with cow boy boots. Her eyes are a cold steely blue. Boots clanks as she steps down the steps of the porch to greet Zank, "Zank..." And without a moment she smacks him across the cheek. "My daughter dies and you don't come to visit once in the five years sense... better late then never." She looks to Danee, who remember when Katy smacked JAde for her choice in words once. "Young Danee... you needed be so nervois..." She smiles to the women and then to Doc, "John Holliday... You look old..." <English>
Kyo is in the process of shutting down the Mules and making sure everyone gets off safely, his red eyes scanning the area. Katy isn't a short women, 5' 7" but she isn't above average. <English>
Both of Doc hands are holding the crossbar of the roll bar. When he hears his name Doc looks up at the heavens...then he waits no longer. He hops down off the mule and starts walking towards Katy as he approaches he says, "Does 5 years look thaat old on meh Katy?...ya could beh raght though...these last 5 years ain't been easy on meh...but ahm still alive an kickin ass when ah has ta.." <English>
Jisae walks up to stand beside Zank. She remains quiet as there seems to be reunion before her. She's observant at how everyone reacts to this woman she's never met. She grins at Doc's words. She remains close to Zank, a silent offer for any support should he need it. <English>
Danee climbs down from the mule and moves over to stand beside Katy Tycho. She hug she woman and then steps back. "Thank you for welcoming me" she looks around and asks. "Is Mister tycho about?" <English>
Well, there is no shooting at this time and so it is then that Conoger stands up and starts to climb down the MULE. He adjusts his helm a bit and then starts to look around as he looks to the others. He does stop just behind others, keeping himself silent till they get to eat. <English>
Zank flinchs as Katy's hand come across his cheeck rather hard. He sighs "yeay well i deserved that i think" He lowers his head a bit "Im sorry" he says simply. He glances at Jisae a moument before looking at Katy. "We ant just here t' visit Ma'am we got someone I think ya gonna wanna meet" He turns to look at Kyo. Letting her answer Danees question first and respond to the others greeting and hellos. <English>
Jack comes from the Barn then, wiping his hands covered in black grease on a hanker chief. Katy looks to him as Danee asks, "There he is..." She says and Jack gives a bit of a Wave and a smile. He's a easier kind of man, Katy was the stern one and probably wore the pants in the relation ship. "Hello everyone..." Jack says in a husky voice, almost like Kyo's but less of the trained monotone, simply just a calming warm voice. "Katarina... you sohuld go smacking poor Zank like that..." THe man places his hand on Zanks neck where it meets the shoulder and squeezes, "He'll send Braxton here to help with hurding, and you know how bad he is at that." Katy smiles at her husband before looking to Danee, "I see you brought some... people we don't know." She looks to Jisae, "What... did Zank finially settle down? Didn't think that'd happen..." But of course there's Conoger and Kyo.
Kyoshiro is a little startled and almost trips as he steps off the MULE. He fixes his hat and brushes off any dust from his frock frantically before turning and tipping his hat to the Two, "Mr. and Ms. Tcho... My name is Kyoshiro Mibu... and I'm a cousin."
Katy and Jack both raise their eyebrows, Jack wrapping an arm around his wife. "Come again?"
"Ah Heinrick's son... your cousin Heinrick... Uncle Geofrey's kid..."
Jack more so then Katy's eyes go wide, "No kidding?! Huh well, makes sense... last I say uncle Geofrey he headed off to the core. Rarely wrote my father..." <English>
Doc looks at Jack and says, "The Vikin here is one o mah crew Jack...his names Conogah (Conoger)...and this here lady is Jisae....she's Zank's...ah...girlfriend...ifin their relationship has grown beyond thaat neithah one o them has said..not thaat thaat's any o ourah concern?" Doc steps up. grins at Jack and offers a hand to the man, "Sorrah ah ain't been around soonah...ourah lives has been quite..active and has taken ups moreah than a fair amount o ourah time." Doc looks at Mibu...."Whell ah'll beh damned.." He had no idea that Mibu and the Tycho's were related. <English>
Jisae smiles at the way Zank responds to the woman. She rubs his hand lightly. Her violet eyes look up as Jack comes toward them from the barn. She blushes as the man speaks of Zank settling down. She shakes her head and blurts out, "We're not married!" Then she blushes even more and her eyes move to the floor. She bites her lip lightly as Doc introduces her and she nods in agreement, her pale skin a light red. <English>

Danee smiles at Katy and her husband but remain s silent. Just enjoying the evening. "If you don't mind may I go look at the horses? and Thor here is hungry could we get him fed? I know this is rude but..." she lets the words fade. <English>
Zank grins slightly at Jack as he comes over an puts his hand on Zanks sholder. "Good t' see ya Mr. Tycho sorry its been so long" At Doc's words about him and Jisae he grins and he chuckles a bit when Jisae talks about them not being married. He too blushes slightly though "No were not, but things are shiney." he says nudgeing Jisae playfully. Then Kyo introduces himself and lets the other talk and reuntie for a moument. "Kyo here did'nt know he was realted to yall till very resent...he wanted t' come met ya." he frowns a bit not sure how to approch the next kinda news the bear. <English>
Jack blinks, "About 5120 acres... 4 miles down the Valley, six on each side to the bottom of the mountains. about eight squar miles..." He answers, "This place had been in my family... well... seince the Exodus from Earth-That-Was..."
The door opens and a small Japanese women comes out, though her accent is as Rim as any. It's Anna Tycho, Jacks Sister in law. "Dinner is just about ready, ya'll... Come on it." Katy shrugs and they all turn to head inside. They look back to Danee, "Sure, but it's getting cold at night these days. Best to head in the sun is gone."
Kyoshiro nods to Zank, "Heinrick and my Mother parished in a hover car wreak. The Alliance adopted me. They had my first name. It's always been Kyoshiro... but Mibu... It was my grandmother's maiden name." Though nothing is explaining those red eyes.
Katy nods, "I'm sorry to hear that. Well at least you know your roots now... no everyone get in before the spread gets cold." <English>
Dusk has left the sky, gone behind the mountains the surround the Tycho Ranch here in New Limerick Beylix. Somehow, despite the death of their only child, the Tycho's seem to be doing just fine going on about with normal business here on the family ranch. The house was as wholesome as ever, soft lighting and wooden everything with not too much flare. Homely and comfortable. The kitchen was small but the dining room held a large round table so everyone could face each other. There, the smell of roasted turkey, caramelized veggies, mashed potato's, and other things. All the signs of a Sundays spread. Anna, mother of Jade's cousin's Rukia and Leann, husband to Jack's brother Seamus is just setting a bowl of corn, carrots, and peas mixed together in fresh hot butter. The two girls have yet to be seen along with their father. Jack and Katie offer chairs to those who wish to be seated. <English>
Doc comes into the dining room, minus his balck Frock coat, and looks around for a place to sit. Even without his Frock coat and hat on Doc still looks like a sharp dude. Long sleeved white shirt...grey vest..both arms bear a black garter...and it appears that Doc tok some time polishing up his black leather gunbelt and holsters. Doc moves to a seat...but waits for the ladies to seat themselves. <English>
Danee is sitting at the table. She smiles gently and seems to be happy to just be in this group. It is noisy but it is a good family noise. she sips from a glass of water listening to the chatter. <English>
Kyoshiro does much the same as Doc, removing his hat and dark blue frock before placing it on a rack or on the back of the chair. He's full of manners, tucking the table cloth in his lap and waiting in case they all have some religious thing they say. Though he's surprised when they just start passing food around. "Don't be shy Mr. Mibu..." Katy says, "We don't hold much stock in a dear and fluffy lord in this house. He's taken too many from us." Jack looks down sadly. "Oh... right, thanks..." Jack then speaks, "So what brings you all here after so long?" <English>
Doc takes a seat and settles in placing his cloth napkin across his lap. Doc looks at Daneee when jack asks his question, and offers, "Ahm here ta back-up my dear friend Kyoshiro...so pahaps whee should allows him ta ansah yer question sir." Doc looks over at Mibu..and grins a bit. <English>
Danee has no real idea why they are here except to support kyo and so turns to look at him to answer the question. <English>
Kyo chokes on some thick chicken skin as all eyes end up on hims. He blinks before looking to the left, then the right... Question was... where the hell did Zank go to. Probably taking one of his famous constitutionals after a long trip to the mountains. "Ahhh... well you see..." Suddenly boots can be hears comming down the stairs, a rough voice with a thick rim accent heard yelling at someone unseen. "I don't give two damns if you girls want to go to a party at the fair grounds, we have damn company, so wash up and get you asses down here!" The man yelling reaches the bottom of the stairs and stops. His eyes meet Kyo's and there is a long pause as the two just stare at each other. Danee and Doc may recognize Seamus Tycho, Jack's brother. These two still lived on the ranch with their families but the rest had spread out. "What the hell is /he/ doing here." Seamus says quietly and with seeming seething hatred towards Kyo. Jack and Katy, even his wife Anna look on with surprise. "The folks from the Jia have come to visit and they brought some distant relatives... Mr. Mibu here is our cousin. Your uncle Geofrey's grandson." Seamus points a finger at Kyo. "He's no damn family of mine..." Kyo stands slowly then, turning to face Seamus. His face calm and flat, emotionless. "Seamus the Ghost... It's been a very long time..." Katy blinks, looking between the two who seem to be in some sort of mexican stand off, "Wait... you two know each other?" <English>
Danee hears the yelling and flinches. Moving to stand as if to escape if things go badly. She looks to Doc and then the others in the room. She chews he rlip and slips to the back of her chair. <English>
Esther arrives to the table a little after everyone else. The pregnant woman had to go to the bathroom... again. Though with her business finished, she emerges into the room, smiling at the family-style spread. There is a moment where she dissapears into her own mind of fond, warm memories of old years past. However, the yelling brings her out of the reverie. She glances to the interaction between Kyoshiro and the other Tychos. Quietly, she makes her way close to Doc. <English>
Violet is sitting at the table, on her best behaviour, her hands clasped in her lap, waiting for her turn to serve herself, her mouth watering and her eyes huge. She looks up, blinking, at Seamus' entrance and diatribe, her eyes getting even huger, and looks immediately to Kyo in alarm. <English>
Doc hearing a gruff raised voice stands up...and when Mibu is verbally attacked Doc moves to stand between the two men. Doc nods to Esther, then looks at Mibu and then at the other man and quietly says, "Back-off Dude..an does it nowah..befer thins git really outtah hand." Doc's hands are clasped in front of him. <English>
"John... sit down..." Kyo says calmly to Doc. "Nothing is going to happen..." Seamus doesnt look at all scared by Doc, or Kyo for that matter.
"You broght Demon Eyes Kyo into this house? Do you know what he did on shadow?"
"And how many Alliance did you kill Seamus? Both sides were doing bad things."
Katy looks between the two, Jack is still... eating calmly. Anna looks a little worried. "What the heck is going on."
"You see Katy..." Kyoshiro starts, "Seamus and I once hunted each other. Well I ran, and he hunted me on Shadow. He caught me one day. Shot me right through the chest..." He shakes his head, "He doesnt realize it but by doing that he saved my life because I would have remained a violent killer if I hadn't been arrested..." He shakes his head slowly, holding a hand up in peace towards Seamus, "Things are different now. And this is why I came here. Seeing you here is a surprise. But... it's our relation that brings us here. Remember someone was after Jade?"
Seamus pauses a moment, "Yeah... some guy outside had a shack up in the woods..." He nods to Danee, "She was there. He was protecting us from some organization that wanted her."
Kyoshiro nods, "And now they're after me, my wife, and my one year old daughter... and they could come here next..." The tension between the two is still palpable. <English>
Esther remains silent during the conversation. Though, she does reach out to put a hand on the overprotective Doc's arm. It's a silent gesture and she nods towards the chairs. Her hand slips from arm as she moves towards the chairs and settles herself down. Though, her gaze remains on the encounter as she reaches for a bit to eat. <English>
Violet listens to the conversation, her dark brows drawing down in alarm. At the mention of Jade, she stiffens, slightly, and shoots Kyoshiro a questioning look, but, for now, she keeps quiet, surreptitiously helping herself to some beets. Mmm... beets. <English>
Zank knows the Tycho house very well so its not suprise he can slip around quietly unnoticed remembering many memoryies as he walked the halls looking at Captures and old trinkets, while the others talk and eat. He dose make it to dinning room as conversation seems to pick up. He stays just inside the other dimmly lit room. Listening and watching. He sees the tension between the Kyo and Seamus. It has peeks his intrest. <English>
Doc arches an eyebrow at Seimus...as he starts to leav e Doc says to him , "Watch yer ass..." Then doc looks at Mibu and moves back to his seat next to Esther. Doc watches closely still. He pats Esther's thigh. <English>
Seamus seems to consider this for a moment, "That dosn't excuse what you've done recently. those men weren't any good, I know a God Damn tyrant when I see one and that bastard Burnside stunk of it when he came to get me to head up his black ops section. But you, you're a monster."
"And so was Jade,"
"You watch what you say about my nie..."
"And that's why they wanted her. It was a the gene was it not?" This causes Seamus to pause, "I was brought up to serve the Alliance, seince birth. The people who were after Jade, they were after me and killed my parents I'm guessing. It was too messy to be Alliance. Now they're after my child so they can mold her to their liking just like the Alliance molded me..." Just then two teenage girls, at least 17, who look EXACTLY like Jade come down the stairs wearing rebelliously styled clothing. Their wide violet eyes look towards Zank, Seamus, and Kyo... "What's going on Dad?" Rukia asks... There is a pause before Seamus looks to his daughters, "Nothing... Just go sit down and eat..." Then he moved towards the table and takes his own seat. Seamus's harsh gaze looks towards Zank, "Can you explain this any better?" And now he's filling his plate. The tension has decreased quite a bit. <English>
Esther is quiet. Though she is acutely interested in the conversation. Though, pregnant woman is hungry and she is not shy to help herself to some of the home cooked food. She chews her food as her dark gaze flickers from each party of interest to the next. "Huh.." She mutters. <English>
Danee takes her seat but her appitite is gone and her head aches. You would not believe the over flow thoughts that happen during a scene such as this. Slowly she picks up the glass of water and takes a sip. although her eyes hurt she keep watching the interactions. <English>
Violet glances at Danee in concern. She reaches over and puts her hand lightly on the other woman's hand, trying to radiate calm good cheer. Look! Beets! <English>
Zank now comes fully into the room. He's quiet as they speak to each other eyes watching there faces. As the teenagers come down the stairs his head turns and he grins softly and then looks back to Seamus as he asks his question. "Ant' to' hard t' explain there Seamus...It simple. The Tycho's and Kyo here share a heritage. Apparently more so than anyone in here is smart enough t' understand unless any of yall understand genetic's on more than a basic level. Some ones after Kyo cause he's somethin that can do an awful lot of damage. Jade had the same thing and she share's yalls blood. So one..Jade had mroe control than Kyo here has over his ailment and 2 the fella after Kyo here might be after the rest of the Tycho's as well" he says, on his last words his eyes glance at the teenagers sitting to eat. <English>
Doc starts fixing his plate, but his eyes move back to Seamus and Kyo every so often. It doesn't surprise Doc in the least that when Zank appears he speaks his peace to answer the 'question.' Doc looks at Esther ans sks in a low voice, "Howah are ya feelin dear?" <English>
Jack is still eating quietly, food is still getting passed around and Rukia and Leann are looking over those gathered as they listen to the conversation. "Don't insult their intelligence Zank... we understood clear enough... Seamus and Kyo here just have some old issues to work out is all..." He says this with his mouth practically full.
"We will resolve them in privet... but for now. Seeing as any number of you could carry the gene whether active or dormant. You could be in danger. Zank here has taken the time to set up a net work of safe houses where you can..."
Seamus interrupts, "Wait wait wait. We're not going anywhere... we stop working we lose money... things ant as handy dandy and lucrative as it is being a spacer..." <English>
Danee blinks and looks at Violet, "beets?" she takes a moment to think about that "yes please pass the beets." she smiles at the young woman. Then she looks up and around in general. "The dinner is getting cold." <English>
Violet gives Danee a funny look, but is getting used to strange one-sided conversations with the woman. She grins and passes the beets over, and nods. "Yeah. You'll all tear each other t'pieces much better on a full stomach." she points out, sagely. <English>
Zank grins at Violets words but looks to Jack as he takes a seat to fill his own plate. "I dont understand it at all either..wasnt sayin i understand it any better." he says before looking at Seamus and his objections "A if ya contiune workin without ya guard up on full ya puttin ya children at risk..." he says rather sternly to the man. <English>
Doc clears his mouth and says, "Hmmmm...Pahaps he's jus 'too' wrapped up in hiself ta cares....buht one thins purdy obvious..he ikes yellin at em...." <English>
Esther is silent. She waits to discover more of the information as she continues to indulge in her meal. <English>
"Are you sayin' I can't keep my house in order, BOY?" Seamus says in his own stern manner. The man was far far older than Zank, a good 20 years or more. Grey hair, grey french gotee.
"Dad!" Rukia and Leann say in unison. They get a glare from the old man.
"How about this..." Jack rubs his brows, "I suggest a compromise. How about we get Tommy and Lisa to come with their APC and the Rat Patrol. The rest of us can go with Zank and you and Malice can stay with the ranch hands and work out the rest of the season."
Kyoshiro looks to Doc, "That wasn't rude or anything Doc... even for you... I'm surprised..." Even Katy is blinking at John, Jack doesnt look to pleased by the comment either... They did invite people into their home for dinner. Rukia and Lean both stand, "I thought he was cute... but now I'm just not hungry anymore..." Anna is crying. <English>
Danee shakes her head, "I think we are all losing any sense of humor that was here when we arrived. Maybe It would be better if we just left. They can do as they please and everyone can take care of themselves. They are adults. We are adults. If they do not want us.. I say we leave." she peaks quietly but she stands and starts to move away from the table. <English>
Violet shoots Danee a look of abject horror. Leave?? But there are BEETS! And, it's possible she spotted a cute local boy lurking behind a shed... She stifles a whimper of disappointment and shovels as many beets as she can into her mouth before Kyo drags her bodily from the table. <English>
Zank takes a breath as the tension in the room sems to rise again. For the first time in MANY years he speaks a tounge alsmot forgotten to him. He struggels with the wording some but seems to get most of it out without destroying the language mostly. Old Gelic "Timid ag breathn amach le haghaidh r Samus fin" He pauses thinking on the rest of the words struggeling a bit "... n mr dinn i gcna agus n bheidh" He thinks again "muid bhar i gcna cad a cheapann siad de dinn" He switches quickly back to english "Were asking alot we know but we wouldnt be here if we did'nt care...Seamus ya know I ment no disrespect t' ya but were only here t' offer what we can." He looks to Jack hopeing to get some support. <English>
Doc finishes his meal and pushes his plate away from himself, "Katy?...ya puhts on a great feed hun....thank ya fer the invite..." <English>
There is a long moment of silence, and most in the house seem to understand what Zank is saying. "Miss Danee... please sit down..." Seamus says... he takes a moment and one glare to Rukia and Leann and they're sitting down too. "My wife is crying... My brother, ever the damn pacifist..." He shakes his head, "Zank is right... despite my stubbornness. It's been a tough week... had to chase damn boys from my daughters' rooms last night and it has me on edge." Rukia and Leann blush both. Anna is wiping away her tears. Katy nods to Doc, "Anna prepared the meal. We take turns."
Seamus sits back, "Everyone will pack in the morning. We will leave bright and early. The ranch hands can take care of the cattle and Tommy can look after the place. I'm staying... but not because I don't want my family safe... because this homestead here is part of our family and I intend to keep it from harm." <English>
Katy adds, "You're all welcome to stay the night of course..." <English>
Danee stops and thinks about it all. Then moves back to the table. "I'll have more beets please." she picks up her water taking a sip. "You have a beautiful place i do understand your need to watch over it." <English>
Doc is still sitting..he reaches for his drink and sips. He looks at Seamus and can partially inderstand where tha man is comming from about protecting his ranch. Doc arches an eyebrow and out of curiousity he asks, "Howah many cattles ya got here on yer ranch Seamus?...an howah many hands ya gots ta defend yer property?" <English>
Zank nods staying quiet a moument. He seems to have accomplished his goal of cooling tensions "Im sorry i dont know what's thay like" he says to Samues about the girls. Who he glances at. He nods though at the mans descion "Ill let Braxton know tonight he'll be here in the mornin..." <English>
Seamus looks to Doc after nodding to Zank, "I've around 100 ranch hands. All very loyal. We pay them quite well which is why I'm worried about making quota." He pauses a moment, "And if we get Tommy and Lisa here, nothing short of an Alliance Battleground is getting into this valley." He shrugs, "He'll bring the rat patrol with him" The unit Jade used to be with with in her first says in space. <English>
Danee is no longer listening she is eating beets. and some sort of lagumnes. Tasty. <English>
Seamus nods to Doc, "I appreciate that Mr. Holliday..." Jack smiles to Doc and so does Katy. "It's settled them... alright... everyone eat up and fill up. Who knows how long it'll be untill we have a nice family dinner like this..." <English>
