I was born on Shadow, a relatively poor and little-supported farming world. At around the age of ten the Alliance, at the time heavily involved in its war with the Browncoats, decimated the small townships that made up the civilisation on Shadow. With my family and my livelihood gone I was forced to hitch a ride with an unsuspecting transport vessel. I was quickly discovered and deposited on Persephone. With a simmering distain for the Alliance and what it stands for, I now look for people that feel similar.

Parents
I don't much remember my father. He was always fighting against the Alliance with the Browncoats during my youth, to be honest I am not entirely certain as to whether he is alive or dead, but hearing stories about returning Browncoats hitting the bottle reminds me that he may well be better off dead on the battlefields.
My mother, on the other hand, was a marvellous woman. She raised myself and my older brother Mikhail on a small ranch on the outskirts of Aceran, Shadow's second largest community. There I was taught to handle myself like a man, treat women right and such. I learned much from my mother, and the Alliance will pay dearly for taking her away from me.
Most Pivotal Moment?
Pivotal moment? Haven't you been listening? Fine, I'll tell you, but don't make me repeat myself. As I said, I was born and raised on Shadow. My father left to go to war and left me and my brother with our mother. She raised us well and, one day, I was out tilling the fields when several Alliance bomber craft came into view over head. The bombers demolished the farmhouse and much of the surrounding area. The entire town that we had lived in was razed in a matter of minutes. My mother and brother were in the farmhouse at the time, they didn't survive. And all I could think about was myself. That's gonna change.
Meeting Miss Nika
Well to bring you to my current mindset I'll tell you a little bit more about what happened post-Shadow. I mentioned that I stowed away on board a transport ship didn't I? Well, that ship was called the Forrester. It was a Firefly Mark Two, I believe, I'm not all that knowledgeable when it comes to the technical side of things.
Well when I was aboard I was quickly discovered shivering in a corner of the cargo-bay. My clothes and shoes had been ripped in the shockwaves of the explosions and my scurrying through the wreckages thereafter. So I was pretty much naked when I was found by a young girl, the daughter of the captain it later turned out. Her name was Nika, she was born on the vessel ten years before, making her about the same age, if not a little younger, than myself.
She took me to the other side of the cargo bay and retrieved some clothes and shoes from a cargo container bound for Persephone. Apparently the machine that made the shoes was destroyed in the bombardment. Good job breaking it, Alliance.
She then took me to meet her father, the captain. He was rather concerned that I had survived where the others had not, so he quartered me with his daughter in his cabin and promised to deliver me to the Abbey on Persephone.
The trip took several days, possibly weeks I wasn't really paying attention to the time. My senses were all absorbed by the young Nika, though we were still young, we grew close and, when it was time for me to leave I had no tears left to cry.
And, Recently?
I was taken to an Abbey near Eavesdown Docks. The abbey was unlike any I had been to before, it was inhabited by Xiaolin Monks. There I was trained in hand to hand combat, discipline and other such skills. At the age of twenty I left the abbey to pursue my life elsewhere, but I have still found myself returning during times of personal crisis.
