| − | Ro is Lord of Greenleaf and directly descended from the oldest noble family to have settled on this world, claiming an ancestral home that served as a major base of operations for the Independent movement during the war. He is to date the only noble to have openly served with the Independents while holding his title and the only noble house to have the Independent flag incorporated into his family crest.

| − | During the war, Ro was known as the Steel Tiger and led a section of the Independent Army through every major battle of the war that led up to a holding action that lasted two weeks after the surrender of the Battle of Serenity Valley.

| − | After the war, Ro invested his money that he had earned during the war on suppling the Independents in purchasing starships and using this investment and the inroads created by it to begin to acquire vessels and equipment that the Browncoats used during the war, including the last functioning Independent-built capital ship which he has recently completed 'purist' restoration of in his estates drydock. His public ambitions in his later years has been to eventually set up a trust for his estate and open it to the public as an Independent Army Museum on Greenleaf in an effort to keep the history from vanishing from the Verse. In this way he follows in the footsteps of his father, a Professor of Anthrology and lover of history.

| − | Ro's views of the Alliance have changed in his later years as he has publically noted that he seeks to create real change, change from within it through proposed legislation and working with Parliament to solve the issues of the ills of the Rim and Verse in general. He has noted that the use of war and weapons does nothing but set civilization "back at zero" again and leaves resentment and misery in its wake.
