Reising M55
Availability: Uncommon
The Reising M55 was first made in the 1940's of Earth-that-was. The Reising M50 and M55 submachine gun was a delayed blowback operated, selective fired weapon. It fired from the closed bolt and has a separate striker (non-pivoting, sliding hammer) which hit the firing pin when gun was discharged. Mainly suited for urban environments, it did not fare well in combat or under harsh or dirty conditions and had a habit of jamming when fouled. If taken care of, it was an effective and reliable weapon, deadly in the right hands. The Reising M50 was available both with a straight wooden stock or with a pistol grip and some were featured with a folding stock. Typical magazines contained 30 rounds of .45 ACP ammunition, plenty to keep it's owner in the fight.
