DAS Designated Marksman Rifle
DAS .41 Autoshot
Availability: DAS Only
The DAS .41 AutoShot is a recent invention from the Department of Security designed as either a primary or secondary carry weapon. This rotating breech, locking gas cylinder semi-auto features several cutting edge breakthroughs not available in other sidearms. For one, the underbarrel combination flashlight and laser can be switched to either red, blue, green, yellow or white light, and equally colored lasers. The single-stack magazine uses cutting edge NewTech caseless .41 ammunition that has built in superior penetration and stopping power and manages to stuff fifteen rounds into the mall pistol. Recoil compensation built into the grip and the barrel provide equivalent recoil to a much smaller pistol. A fiber-optic front sight is available and the entire weapon is made out of a composite carbon and ferrolite material that makes it lighter than you would expect. It's easy to conceal, can drop a raging drug-addled pirate at fifty paces and is as reliable as the Alliance is loyal - in short, a great weapon. The controls are all ambidextrous, and two recessed switches allow the weapon to easily be taken down for cleaning. This weapon is very restricted - only DAS personnel are authorized to carry it and possession is worthy of some very difficult questions from your local Fed.
