History

Belle was born in the black aboard a Dragonfly class transport only a few minutes before her twin brother Beau, the pair of them raised aboard the ship by parents who battled against the Alliance for years before their birth. Her brother always wanted to be a pilot, and Belle had an avid interest in the guts of the ship, preferring to keep the ship in the air for others to fly, rather than having any interest in it herself. During the War for Unification, the Compton family risked life and limb and livelihood in their attempts to pull pinned down Browncoats out of hot zones. In spite of only being fourteen years old when the war began, Belle did what she could to help the cause. The twins were 18 when Beau was first arrested and held in a PoW camp, and it was in that time that their parents were killed, with Belle there to witness it. Eventually Beau escaped and returned to take over the Exalted Justice, and Belle remained on to continue working on the ship, to continue learning. This went on for a number of years, but all good things come to an end, and after a chase by the Alliance, the Exalted Justice exploded and Beau was captured. Suddenly Belle was left with no home, and no family, for the first time in her life, and though she'd always been resourceful, after a series of mistakes, she found herself in a situation in which she owed a large sum of money to an unsavory fellow who, in short order, came calling. It took Belle the better part of five years to pay off this debt, and it was shortly after this she got word of her brother’s escape. There was a brief-lived hope that things might go back to what they once were, but he wouldn’t hear of her coming to work with him again, and so instead she continued quiet work aboard different transport ships, never lingering with one crew too long before moving on to the next, ever a restless spirit, and ever honing her skills as a mechanical engineer.

Recent Events

March 2532 - Belle surprises her brother by showing up without any forewarning, and manages to get a place on his crew again.
