Description
You see before you a woman in her mid-to-late 30s. Of average height and build, she stands at about 5'6". Long, rich mahogany brown hair is long enough to spill down in shining waves to mid-back, when it's not drawn back away from her face. Her caucasian skin is the deeply tanned color of one who enjoys spending time out of doors, whenever she is dirtside. Her eyes are a deep, cerulean blue, brightly intelligent and assessing beneath dark brows and thick lashes. A long, thin nose rests above a wide, expressive mouth painted with bright red gloss.
Browncoat outfit:
She is clad in a white button-down blouse tucked into a pair of comfortable, faded jeans and well-worn, comfortable boots. On top of this she wears a waist-length brown leather jacket with a Rod of Asclepius -- a snake twined around a wooden staff -- embroidered on the back in faded blue thread. A worn backpack likewise embroidered with this medical symbol is often slung over one shoulder, or at the very least, near at hand.
Scrubs outfit:
She wears a set of surgical scrubs of dark, blood red, with grey trimming the neckline, sleeves, and hem of the tunic. A grey pocket over the left breast is embroidered in red with the words, "Nuenya Taylor. Life Line, Inc. Beaumonde." The blood red slacks have a broad grey stripe down the outside of each leg, as well as at the waistline and the cuffs. On her feet are a pair of dark grey shoes with non-slip soles.
Bikini outfit:
Dressed to enjoy some fun in the sun, Nuenya's lean form is mostly bare, but for a skimpy red string bikini, the red strings tied behind her neck, between her shoulder blades, and at each hip. The triangles of fabric forming the bikini's top cradle the soft swells of her breasts, only barely obscuring part of the tattoo over her heart. The skimpy bottoms barely keep her modest, hugging her curved buttocks. On her feet are a pair of red flip-flop sandals.
The tattoo is done in shades of gray and black. An image recognizable as Shadow as it was before the war, overlaid with black script saying, "Never forgotten." Around the image of the globe are shadowy cameos of faces in profile, with a name inscribed below each one -- Nuala, Mateo, Ollie, Lizbet, Nat, & Mat -- a memorial to the family she lost.
History
Nuenya grew up on Shadow, one of the outer rim planets. Her family were colonists who ran their own ranch. Growing up, Nue always had an affinity for working with animals - they seemed to have a mutual affection and understanding for one another. Wherever she went on the ranch, a veritable parade of animals seemed to follow in her wake: dogs and cats she'd raised from puppies and kittens, big-eyed calfs, frisky colts - you name it, they loved her. One dog in particular, a soft brown and white Corgi named Daisy, followed her literally everywhere she went, on the ranch or off. This affinity with animals eventually led to an apprenticeship of sorts with the local vet, under whose tutelage she learned all she could about treating the hurts and ailments of her animal friends, ultimately becoming his assistant and an invaluable asset to his practice. Then the war came. Her homeworld was, naturally, sympathetic to the Browncoats, and contributed a goodly number of volunteers to fight for the cause. Nue watched helplessly as friends, family members, and neighbors went off to fight for independence... many never to return. Focused as she was on the care of the many animals inhabiting the local farms and ranches, she never really gave much thought to joining the cause herself, though... until the Alliance forced her hand. Recognizing that her world was providing more than its fair share of Browncoat soldiers, the Alliance decided to nip that in the bud by making a preemptive strike and removing some of the troublesome population before they got around to volunteering. The Taylor family ranch was located just outside one of the planet's more prosperous towns, and one day, while Nue and Dr. Nichols were out calling on an outlying farm, a group of Alliance fighter shuttles streaked by overhead, a thunderous chain of explosions following in their wake as they strafed over town and ranch, blowing both to smithereens. Devastated and infuriated by the senseless killing of so many innocent people and animals, Nuenya enlisted with the Browncoats that very same day, leaving the veterinary practice behind her. It didn't take very long for her to discover that the skills she'd learned under Dr. Nichols weren't too hard to translate into the treatment of wounded human soldiers, and the same marksmanship that she used to put down a rabid dog without putting herself at risk could work just as well when her gun was pointing at one of those purple-bellied bastards.

Reilly Kelly - The Crazy Irishman Nue works for at Life Line. He kind of scares the shit out of her sometimes.
Sachin - One of Nue's colleagues at Life Line. A good friend, and fun to flirt with.
Helen - A nurse at Life Line, and a friend. Nue worries about her, sometimes.
Aubrey - Claims to be Reilly's brother. He runs Hope House, and is the one who actually hired Nue.
Devlin - Nue has a weakness for redheads. Dev's one of them.
