Korben (Jameson)

Description

This tall-ish man (about 6 feet, that is) is stocky and fairly well-built, as though he's spent much of his life as a laborer. His brown eyes don't pierce, but rather look out on the world with a bit of a twinkle from his baby-face and over his pudgy nose. His short brown hair is spikey and rather unruly in the way it springs from his head. Overall his skin is tan and relatively free of pocks or scars, though his hands bear calluses and his nails are often ragged.

He typically wears a dusty and worn black suit. Not from a Core manufactury, obviously, the wool jacket's weave is uneven, and some areas where the dye didn't take as well are a bit grey. His black cotton pants and button-down shirt have a tighter weave, and seem to be in better condition, though they too have seen better days. A thick black belt is at his waist and heavy black boots cover his feet. He wears no tie, and his shirt is open at the collar, revealing a black tee-shirt on his chest.

Background

Coming from the religious homesteader colony of New Bethany moon, Korben was brought up in a rather low-tech environment, and much of the technical side of the 'Verse is a mystery to him (or at least rather confusing).

While he is a 'Man of God', woe betide someone who calls him a Shepherd. he sees it more as part of his lifestyle than a calling.

Korben is one of the nine children of Belle and Elder James. Korben was the last son of the couple and the third to last child. His older brothers (in order of appearance) are Uriah, Samson, Ulysses, and Able. His older sisters are Mary and Rebekah, and his younger sisters are Ruth and Hannah. Together, they ran a rather successful farmstead which included Belle's mother Nanda and her sister Constance in the household.
