Description
Standing at just above average height, this man has an athletic frame, light skin and messy, wavy light brown hair. Hazel eyes stick out a bit from his features, and a distinct, small scar runs along his chin, just at the point where it starts dipping down to his neck. His facial hair is often a five-O-clock shadow, and is a bit lighter than the hair atop his head.
He wears clothes that seem to me fairly new, but aren't particularly flashy, more practical if anything. a dark brown and black jacket remains opened and unzipped over a white T shirt, and above a pair of dark gray pants that seem a mix between cargos and jeans. On his neck, halfway exposed due to the collar of his white T is a swirling, black tattoo that covers about half of one side of his neck below a defined jawline.
Personality
Not the friendliest man and certainly not the brightest, Dei's generally hard to approach and converse with unless he finds something he likes about someone off of first impression or physical appearance. He's quick to judge, even when he hardly knows an individual, and will often stubbornly stick to his 'view' of others, however skewed it may be.
A lone wolf by nature, Dei often finds himself making social slip ups when working in a group, especially if he doesn't know them, whether it be just being plain rude or not being able to show empathy for others. He's able to transition emotionally in quick extremes, and often lives by his own set of ideals.
History
January 1st, 2506; Dei is born, ushering in a new year.
March 7th, 2524; Dei's parents divorce, prompting a family break-up that lasts for a number of years.
June 14, 2528; Dei realizes his potential to make better money doing less legal forms of work.
November 23rd, 2529; Dei spends months in a prison-work institution on one of the newer Dyton colonies, specifically mining and intensive labor. He gets his tattoo on his birthday, in a cell; January 1st, 2530.
December 20th, 2532; A completed contract gone wrong results in the death of Dei's partner on an assignment, and the subsequent burning of bridges with the employer, who had a personal stake in the matter.
January 15th, 2533; Dei joins the Firefly 'Praemia' as a security crewman.
