Burnham

Burnham is a protostar, helioformed starting in 2253 in the ninth orbit around Blue Sun. It was the first of the Verse's brown dwarfs to be helioformed. It was determined to be the best candidate for this very experimental and dangerous procedure, due to its distance from the more populous core worlds and its small size. Ignition of the protostar was successful, but it began producing random bursts of radiation. After the process was refined it was applied to the other six brown dwarfs in the Verse.

After almost ten years of work, the radiation burst problem at Burnham was finally resolved, which made the orbiting world of Miranda available for terraforming.
